these people thought they had outsmarted everyone until reality caught up to them here are five instances when stupid thieves realize they've been caught number five man claims stolen items were given to him on November 17th 2023 officers responded to a CVS at Washington Street in observer Highway following reports of an alleged shoplifting incident according to store employees a man was seen loading several unopened boxes into a shopping card before Wheeling it out without pain using the employees description officers located the suspect just a few blocks away when confronted here's what woman thinks she can get away with car theft by playing innocent up next police are called to a home after a woman reports her car car stolen she explained that she had left it running in her driveway while making coffee inside her security cameras later reveal a woman entering the property and taking off with a vehicle the victim insists her neighborhood is safe and has never seen this coming I was waiting for my coffee to brew and I thought I heard something and I'm like no and then I come out here I'm like what they happened she doesn't look familiar to you at all mm it's going to sound embarrassing but I think my license plate is on a different report cuz I tried to um my son's father recently tried to steal the car too oh really and I believe I gave a license plate on that report
