looked at his rear window and saw a
stranger sitting on his back porch
officers responded and talked to the man
who said that he had been walking all
day in the rain and
was taking refuge because his feet were
too sore from walking and he was not
wearing socks the officers had a long
conversation with the man who said he
recently became homeless and has been
struggling with addiction the responding
officers
took this man to buy some new socks so
that his feet would no longer hurt and
then delivered him to a drug counseling
facility that they knew would have food
and counselors available
