When the ones meant to protect them broke the law, these kids chose to do the right thing. Here are five cases when smart kids help cops arrest their criminal parents. Number five, a young girl does what no child should ever have to. On August 5th, 2023, officers responded to a troubling call from a 15-year-old girl who claimed her mother, intoxicated, drove them to a floor and decor store, then left her behind and disappeared. When officers arrive, they find a teen waiting alone outside with no sign of her mother. Here's what happened next. >> So, what's going on here today with my mom? My grandpa went to my grandpa went to the car and she he let my mom drive the phone today. It's it was down the road um by the shop by the mall shopping center and she just started drinking and she just got out of hand and she just toss me saying she was going to bite me. She actually slapped me kind of in my face and I just when she when she made the stop down there I just ran down here and caught my grandpa. >> What's your mom's name? >> Kayla. >> Kayla. Where's your granddad? >> Hello. >> Hey Kayla, how are you? Pretty good. What's up? What's up? Who is this? >> This is Officer Holler Orlando Police. >> What's up? >> Um, where are you currently located? We're here with your daughter. >> Why? Who is it? You have my daughter? >> Yes. It's off the Hollywood Lando Police again. We're here with your daughter at Floor and the Core. Are you anywhere close? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, can you come to floor in the core on the west side close? >> Floor and floor and decor. >> Yeah, I'll be there in 1 minute. >> Thank you. >> All right. What's going on? What's going on with you and your mom? >> She just started drinking and I didn't She She's not good. >> She's not who? >> She's not good. She's drinking. She's >> What What does not good look like? >> She just She starts acting crazy. >> Like what? What's What's crazy to you? What does that look like? >> She starts driving fast. She starts yelling. And I didn't want to get out the car cuz I didn't want to go in the um the movie theaters who were acting like that. So I tried standing there and >> How old are you? >> Who? >> I'm 15. >> 15. >> Where's your dad? >> Don't know. Okay. Who do you live with? >> My grandma. >> You don't live with your mom? I we all >> the 15year-old has made some troubling claims and now it's up to the officers to determine whether or not they hold up. >> Does your granddad have a car? We'll talk to your mom. See if she's drunk. If we don't determine that she's she's drunk, you're going to have to get back in the car with your mom. >> All right. >> When you said you started drinking, what do you mean by that? She went to 7-Eleven and then I saw her I saw her grab a drink but she said it was soda. I didn't believe her but I saw her throw it away cuz when she's lying I just like it's like how she starts acting. >> So what was it or something? >> She just I don't know. I think it was like >> or did she buy the 7-Eleven drink there? >> Yeah, she she got a cup and I guess she poured in the cup and then she just threw it away and I didn't really see it clearly. Did you see her pour in the cup? >> Uh, she poured it in the store. Did >> you see her pour in the speculation and that's all she was drinking? >> She stopped twice at 7:30. >> It doesn't take long before officers locate the mother. And as you'll hear, she's quick to justify her actions. >> Hey, Kayla. Hey, I'm Officer Scales. I spoke with you on the phone. So, tell me what's going on. Um I tried to attempt to take my daughter to um the um movies or whatever. >> Yeah. Right over here. >> And she's been crying cuz she didn't want to go to I guess she didn't like what I was doing cuz I was trying to figure out >> she didn't like it. So she started crying. We got here she started crying out. >> Okay. Has she done this kind of thing before? >> No. Not really. >> No. >> No. Okay. >> All right. >> So, what's the issue with today? I mean, what's different today? Like, what? She just got upset, you think? >> The thing is it's because my grandmother sell her house. >> Yeah. >> And my grandmother sold her house. She gave me a lot of portion of her money and trying to responsible and things like that. Sir, >> I'm not sure if she or what behavior [Music] >> just hang out right here with my partner. This is your rental. The dad. >> Okay. See, I can see the 7-Eleven. >> Yeah. [Applause] Without even opening the door, the officer spots a cup inside that raises red flags. It's enough to start asking the mother some tough questions. >> What's in the 7-Eleven uh coffin? >> There's something in there. >> There's nothing in there. >> What am I seeing in there? Am I going crazy? Um, I dropped some wine out of there. >> Some wine? >> Mhm. >> Okay. You've been drinking a day then? Just a little bit? >> Three. >> Okay. How much you think you've been drinking? >> Just ballpark. >> Container. >> A container. >> Uh-huh. >> Like how big is that container of wine? >> One of the little bottles. >> Correct. >> Okay. And you got that at the 7-Eleven? >> Correct. >> Okay. And then you put it into the container, the 7-Eleven cup. >> Correct. >> Okay. And how long ago was that? >> 3 hours ago. >> 3 hours ago. >> She's telling us a different story. So that's why >> I didn't run around. Got no iPhone came back around. >> Why you driving around so much? >> Because I'm trying to figure out what I want to take my daughter to be at peace to go to the movies. >> But you left her. >> I didn't leave her. She walked away from me. >> Right. Right. But you didn't. >> And I tried to get her to go to the movies. We went to Winter Park Village where her school mates and everything else been and she didn't want to go there. That's why she didn't want to go. Oh, that's the road. She wanted to go by her friends. I see. >> No, no, no, no. It's out there. Her friends don't even go there. Her friends go to Mac or somewhere in that area. And I tried to get her to park. She started crying. So, I decided to drive back to where I start to from Fashion Square Mall and she didn't want to go to Fashion Square Mall. So, I turned back over and then she didn't want to go there and I was like, "Turn around, go. Maybe she'll change her mind." And I was trying to get her change her mind. So, I'm going to the movies, watch the movies. >> Okay. I'm talking about the uh driving pattern since you know you separated from your daughter. >> No, she walked away from me. That's the old pattern. I'm not trying to be funny. I'm not trying to dictate the situation >> that I don't care about what we call it. >> She she did walk away from me when I tried to get her to go to the movie theater. >> I'm not disputing that fact. Okay. What I'm asking you about is since that incense happened where you >> and then I couldn't find her dad. >> Can you let me find out what she's calling my dad? As expected, the woman becomes defensive almost immediately. But the officer isn't interested in arguing. He's here to get answers. >> So, pay attention. Listen to my question. All right. Then I want you to answer after I'm done asking. Do you understand that? >> Mhm. >> Okay. So, since your daughter left the car. >> Mhm. >> Where did you go? >> I went to my grandmother's. >> Okay. Then what? >> I got me something to eat and I wanted to head to my house. Where'd she go? >> Um, Publix. >> Um, Publix on Orange in Michigan. >> Right there. And what was the plan for the 15-year-old? >> For her to call me >> and then what? >> For me to return back where she was, >> but figured you'd get something to eat and go to your grandma's place. >> No, because I met you trying to call her and she wouldn't pick up the phone. So, I went to public. I couldn't find her in. >> Okay. All right. You will want to do some tests to make sure you're all right to drive? >> I mean, I'm okay now. I'm trying to go to the movies and get my daughter. >> You wouldn't mind going through a few exercises to make sure that you're all right to drive? All right. Come on over here. I want you to stand right here for me. Okay. Put your feet together. Heels toes touching side by side. Put your arms on your side. You don't hold your case. >> Are you injured at all? >> Um, a little bit. >> What's injured? >> My hips. >> What happened to your hips? >> Just outside for some reason. >> Oh, so you're not You didn't get hurt today? >> It's like an ongoing thing. >> Okay. Have you been diagnosed with anything by a doctor? >> Bipolar. >> Oh, no. I mean with the hips that you brought up earlier. >> Nope. >> Now that the initial conversation is over, officers proceed with the first part of the sobriety test. >> I want you to do you see this white line right here that you're standing up? Make sure you face the curve. All right, take one step back. Do your walking turn. All right, so put your left foot on that line. Put your right foot in front of your left foot with your heel touching your toe. All right, keep your arms down to your side. Stand just like that. Tight. Tight begin. Do you understand? When I say begin, I want you to take nine heel toe steps out of that line. I need you to step out loud and looking down at your toes. Once you get to nine, you're going to keep that front foot on the line, turn in a series of small steps until you're facing this direction again, and take nine heel totoe steps back down that line. Now, I'll demonstrate it for you so you know what I'm looking for. What's funny? >> Nothing. >> Okay, >> so I'm going to show you what I'm looking for. All right, I've got you lined up right in front of your left foot. When I say begin, you're going to take nine footsteps on that line like this. One, two, three. Begin. You're going to take nine. Once you get to nine, keep that front foot on the line. turn in a series of small steps. So, you're facing the original direction. All right. Lift those steps back. One, two, three. Again, you're going to go all the way up to nine. What you need to remember, I'll have you put line back up. What you need to remember is look down at your toes. Now, you step out loud. Keep your arms down to your side, and don't stop until you're finished. Do you understand all that? >> Ma'am, I'm listening. >> Do you understand what I just asked you to do? >> Yeah. Do >> you have any questions? No. >> Why don't you get line back up with your right foot in front of your left foot? Okay, begin. >> The heel to toe test begins and it quickly becomes clear to officers that this woman had no business driving. [Music] Do you remember what I asked you to do? Five steps to left. So steps. >> Are you done? >> I think so. >> Okay. Come on. Back here. >> Stand right there. Put your feet together. Heels and toes touching side by side just like before. Keep your arms down to your side. For this one, what I'm going to have you do is pick up whichever foot you're more comfortable with. About 6 in up off the ground. That's about that much. Keep your front foot that you have raised parallel to the ground. Look down at that toe that you have raised and count out loud 1,00 1,002 1003 and so on to I tell you to stop. Now I'll demonstrate it for you again so you know what I'm looking for. Does that sound fair? >> Mhm. >> Okay. Now I've got you lined up. Your feet are together. Your heels and toes are touching your arms down. When I say begin, you're going to pick up again whichever foot you're more comfortable with. About 6 in off the ground about that much. Keep that front foot parallel to the ground. Count that toe. Count out loud 1,00 1,002 10003 1004 1005 and so on until I tell you to stop this. >> What you need to remember is look at that toe that you have raised. Keep your arms down to your side and don't stop until I tell you to. You understand all that? >> Mhm. >> Any questions for me? >> No. >> Are you ready? >> Mhm. >> Okay. Begin. After stumbling through the first part, it's no surprise what happens when the woman moves on to the one leg stand. [Music] Straighten your leg out. [Music] All right, you can stop. Do you want to be honest with me about how much you had to drink today? >> Two what? >> So, how long ago did you stop? >> 3 hours ago. >> 3 hours ago. >> Okay. And uh so you had your your kid in the car with you earlier, right? >> She left me. But before that, you were driving around with your kid in the car. >> Okay. >> And you were in this condition with your kid in the car. Well, you said you stopped drinking 3 hours ago. >> She left me left once. She left me hard to go to the movies and she left. >> Okay. So, which part are you lying about? Because right now, what I understand is you were driving around, but you stopped drinking 3 hours ago. You were driving around with your kid in the car. >> David got me something to drink. >> Went to go trying to find out. She went to see the mag. I really wanted to take her for once and for all to go see the mag. >> Had some money. I had some money in my pocket. Go to her house. Got my daughter some money. Want to go take her see the mag. Didn't want to feel the way I was feeling. Got me a thing of bare foot wine. Small thing bare foot wine. Went to um what's going to head to was dizzy. Decided I don't want to be bothered with this. I rather ride around town till I feel as if as if I'm better to take her. >> I see. So, you were riding around to try and sober up before you came and picked her back up. >> Um, no. She was in the car with me the whole time before I decid. You see your front right tire right there? Just focus on that for a second. Okay. >> Now, in handcuffs, the woman is asked who can care for her daughter while she's being booked. But her response about the child leaves officers at a loss for words. [Music] >> Is there someone that can come pick up your kid that's sober? >> No. >> I understand your parents are disabled. >> Yes. >> Where is the child's father? >> I don't know. And I'll >> Who else can be responsible for that child? >> I don't know. Don't call. Don't answer me. >> Okay. Can you go see your child go to your mom and your dad? >> No, cuz my dad let me drive his car. Do >> you have anything you need out of the car runway? Like your phone while >> I lost her car. >> We're just going to hang out with her. I'll go get my car. [Applause] >> I'll be right back. >> It's okay. Just get >> No, it's not okay. It's not okay. make room for something else that happened. I don't think it's okay. >> Okay. >> It's not okay. >> You'll get some help. >> No, I won't. >> Yes, you will. >> No, I won't cuz I got to stay here. >> It's not okay. >> You get some help. >> It's not okay. >> Get some help. It will be okay. >> It will not be okay. I got to leave my daughter here without God's on. I don't know what the It is not okay. It's not okay. I can't even leave my child. Me and my child can't even go nowhere without nobody else. I don't give a It's not okay. It's not okay. >> It won't be okay. >> It won't be okay. And it won't. And I don't give a I feel the same way they feel. >> Don't worry about it. >> I worry about it all the time. How the going to pay for a DUI to get out of jail? I can't afford what you want. My mother leave me the alone. She's already in enough trouble, but that doesn't stop her from resisting. >> I'm out like I ain't never seen y'all. Leave me alone. >> Hey, what's going on? >> Leave me alone. >> Okay, here's what's going to happen. All right, I'm going to talk to you about what's going to happen. >> Well, you guys don't leave. >> You're going to go in the back of my squad car. >> Put the seat belt on. >> If you resist my officers, you will be put on the do ground and hobt tied and then put in the back of this car. Do you understand me? You understand me? If you resist anymore, your legs will be tied to your back and you will be put on the back of this car. >> Okay, >> get inside this car and cooperate. >> Come on. >> Calm down. >> You are not going to resist anymore. >> Yeah, we got that around the other side. >> Yep. Yep. female. >> Would you like some air conditioning? >> Cannot breathe. >> Can I Can I take your daughter to your parents? >> No. I ask my parents to come and get her. I don't give a nobody in that facility. I don't want nothing like that going on. >> If they if I can't take her there, she's going to go to DCF. >> Well, You got to have it your way. Go ahead and take her. >> With no other adult available, the 15year-old is placed in the care of her grandfather for the time being. >> Hi, sir. >> Hi, man. Thank you, man. >> Yeah. Um, >> what's happened with her mother now? And probably half my fault for trusting her. I rented a car yesterday. >> Mhm. >> Take my granddaughter to the movies. >> Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. >> And she just screwed it all up. >> I'm sorry. You all right? >> Um, >> so what's happening with her? >> She's going to jail. >> I figured it was. Yeah, >> she need it. She been there before, >> has she? Okay. Yeah, she's going to go to jail. Um, this is where the car is. You can keep this. >> Okay. >> Um, I'm just >> Oh, they tow the car somewhere. >> Yeah, it's that address on Wilmer Avenue. >> Where is this at? >> Uh, it's not far. It's um right down by >> Pine Hills and 408, so it's pretty close. It's probably 10 minutes drive from here. >> Oh, you have a car. >> Yeah, >> that thing broke down the other transmission. That's why I rented a car for the weekend. >> Oh, just so they could go to the movies. >> Cuz my bicycle is where I rented the car. >> Oh, man. I'm sorry to hear that. M >> and they charge her $100 to get the car back >> some around there. Yeah. If you go get it tomorrow, she'll pay you back. >> I hope so. >> Um I just got to since I released her to you, I just got to grab your info real quick. >> Yeah. You tried to do something nice and it I'm sorry. >> What' she call you saying? >> Huh? >> What did she call you saying? >> She called me to let me know what her mother was going through and her mother was beating on her. So she jumped out the car. >> I said, "Baby, >> either >> and she don't even know Florida that well." >> Okay. >> And you're her grandfather, right? >> Yes. Yes. >> All right. >> And with that, officers bring the case to a close. >> Okay. >> Thank you for bringing it home, man. >> Oh, yeah. Absolutely. That was my worry right there cuz >> yeah, >> she don't know too well about >> Yeah, she's a nice girl. >> I didn't mind at all. >> Any questions, guys? >> Uh, no. >> All right. Sorry this happened. >> All right. >> How long is she standing in there for? >> Um, >> it's up to you. >> So, it'll be uh a minimum of 8 hours. Well, she may be there for the weekend cuz it's the week or until Monday. So, probably till Monday morning >> cuz unless Yeah, she'll have to >> It depends cuz >> it'll either be tomorrow or like Monday morning if I had to guess. >> Okay. >> I think I know this is at the end of Silverstar. >> No, it's um by 408 and uh like around Pine Hills JP area. >> I can look it up. >> Okay. >> Yeah, it's not far from here. >> Okay. But figure that out. >> But bring your rental agreement. Um. >> Oh, my rental agreement. Oh lord. >> Is it in the car? Okay. Then they could probably just walk you over. >> Thing is, she got the keys, too. >> Yeah. Well, they'll have the keys now. >> Oh, you have them? >> No, the the Okay. >> All right, man. Thank you. >> Yeah. Sorry. We had a bad >> What's your name, man? >> McCarthy. Michael, >> nice to meet you, sir. >> Have a good day. In the end, the woman was charged with child neglect and driving under the influence while accompanied by a minor. Number four, a child terrified of their own parent. Our next case takes place on January 10th, 2025 when officers are dispatched to a parking lot after receiving a disturbing call from a child. According to the 13-year-old boy, his own father was driving under the influence. Officers respond immediately and soon flag down the vehicle on the highway. [Music] You okay? You're okay. [Music] [Applause] [Music] >> What are you doing? Not bad. >> Take a seat belt. >> Get out of the car. [Music] >> Come on. Out. >> Out now. >> Get out, >> dude. >> Yes. Got to keep checking. Make sure he's all right, sir. >> How you doing, man? >> How are you? >> I'm sorry. I just I have a hardness for >> No, no, you're fine. >> I wanted to make sure he was okay. >> You okay, buddy? >> You need a hug? >> I'll give you a hug, bud. >> So sorry. I felt compelled to help him. I'm so sorry. >> You're fine. You're sorry. >> I feel bad, but >> Huh? >> My name is Rusty. >> And I'm Jessica. >> That's my wife, Jessica. >> You're right, bud. >> Listen, you're in good hands. I promise you. Okay. >> You ever need anybody, you can take my number and call me. I'm a tow truck driver. On the weekends, I can take you out with me, show you how to run a tow truck. >> He loves teaching you things. He loves it. >> All right. I promise you. Okay, it will be better. Okay, it's all right. >> Rusty and Jessica, the tow truck operators on the scene, quickly placed their attention on the 13-year-old, showing more concern for the child than the boy's own father. >> Buddy, you got your school ID on you? >> Um, I think I left in the car. >> Okay. All right, I'll be right back with you. Okay, >> I'll sit with you for a bit. All right, >> I just >> cuz you know what? >> If they want me in the car >> when you you're driving, right, and if the police puts the lights on, you have to stop, right? It's normal procedure. So, if you didn't stop, maybe that's why cuz we have to make sure you know. Right. So, >> yes, ma'am. >> Okay. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Where do you have PTSD from? You said >> uh I live in Colombia >> and they check me and my family. >> Mhm. >> The order was for them. >> Oh, okay. >> And that my mom and my dad is alive. >> Mhm. >> And that's the only way we came here. >> Okay. All right. I see what you're saying. >> Hey, do you want somebody to come and check you like a EMS, the ambulance and things like that? check you out. >> Well, other than the uh I I need some medicine. >> What kind of medicine do you take? >> Uh >> okay. What's that for? >> For my anxiety. >> Anxiety. Okay. Did you take You said when was the last time you took that? >> Last time. >> Yesterday. >> Do you need an ambulance? >> Yeah. >> Do you need an ambulance? Somebody to check you over? >> Were you hurt? Did you need an ambulance? >> Yeah. Dr. you. >> We just want It's fine. Do you need somebody to come and check you? >> I would say that I I'm currently needing to be taken care of. >> You currently need to be taken care of. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Okay. Why Why do you say that? Why is it that I already >> It's a tough call for everyone involved. The father seems unwell, but no matter his mental state, endangering his son can't be overlooked. [Music] >> Okay. So, I'm asking you if you need the ambulance to come and check you out, right? >> I am currently having a panic attack, man. >> Okay. All right. >> Okay. Hey, hey, hey. Okay. So with that being said, so do you have do you have thoughts of something >> from a doctor >> that that presumably I do I do get prescri I push around >> okay okay >> at the moment I feel like I feel like it's not okay. Paramedics later arrived to assess the father's well-being. Meanwhile, the other officer along with Rusty and Jessica turns their attention to the young boy, asking questions to better understand what happened. >> I just got to get a statement from you. Okay? >> Are you just Are you just scared or what? >> Yeah. >> Well, you don't have to be scared. I mean, we're all here. Have you ever had to deal with this with your dad before? >> I did this with my mom. >> Huh? >> My mom. >> You dealt with this with your mom? How old are you, dude? Like 13. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, I mean, that's that's that kind of stinks that you have to go through that, man. >> So, can you just kind of tell me what happened this morning? You guys were >> So, >> was your dad drinking this morning? Has he been up all night or what's going on? >> Woke up and I went in his sleeping. So, I just took a shower and then whenever I woke up, I mean, not woke up, whenever I got out the shower, he was still sleeping. So then I just told him to wake up and then he did. >> Does he usually get up with you in the morning? >> He Yeah, he he never goes back to sleep. >> No, he usually wakes up with you. >> Yeah. Whenever I Huh. >> Does he work? >> Okay. >> When Whenever I checked his cabinets, he had like five vodkas in his cabinets and then like most of them were empty. >> So you found five empty bottles of vodka? >> Not all of them are empty. >> Okay. But uh >> take your backpack off and put that jacket and put your arms in. I thought you're sitting there shivering. >> But then we just went to school and then whenever I realized something was off of like his eyes were like dozing off. >> Say that again. >> His eyes are like dozing. >> Okay. So how far away do you live from here? I guess I'm not exactly sure. Yeah. >> Like right now? >> Yeah. >> Like >> couple minutes. >> 10 minutes. >> 10 minutes. So he drove all the way to school and you said he was dozing off. >> Yeah. >> At like a >> like he was like like swerving a little bit and he was stopping at green lights and he almost hit a pole. >> Okay. >> And I I called my five times and she wouldn't answer. So I called my and she said to call you guys. >> As the boy continues to speak, officers come to understand the true weight of what he's been dealing with at home. >> So he didn't say, "Did you did you tell him that the police were behind him or whatever?" >> I told him to pull over. >> Yeah. Did you see us back there? So, what did he say? >> He said to talk He kept saying to talk to the lady. He wants to talk. He wanted to talk to the lady. >> Okay. And that's it. >> All right. Did Did he say anything as he was approaching this area before you when you were able to get out of the vehicle? Were you trying to get out of the car before? >> Yeah, I was going to get out the car either way cuz I didn't want to be in the car with him. >> Right. That makes sense. Yeah. You did the right thing, man. I know dad, but you know, you don't you don't want to be they don't need to put you in that situation either. Okay. All right. Is there anything you wish add or delete about your statement? >> You don't want to add anything else? >> No. >> All right. That'll conclude the statement. >> Now that the boy's grandmother has arrived, officers walk her through everything that unfolded leading up to the call. >> Okay. So, that's your son. The driver who drives that car is your son. >> Yeah. This is the first time I don't know how working all that stuff. >> Okay. Well, he was drinking this morning. Drinking alcohol. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> So, this is your son, right? And that's your grandson? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> So, your son was drinking alcohol. Took him to school. He is driving so erratically he calls us up like, "Oh my gosh, I'm scared. I'm I'm really scared of what's going on here." >> I mean, I don't know exactly the words, but that's what we all got over the radio. Mhm. >> He pulls into the school. Now, the call came out right before he got to the school. So, our deputy, the school resource officer, goes to make contact with him, knocks on the door, says, "Hey," he drives off with him, not even leaving him at the school. >> He doesn't know. >> So, he now he's in the car, he drives off. We find him at racetrack. That deputy turns on the lights to do a traffic stop. Okay? Like everyday traffic stop. He drives off from the traffic stop. We got another deputy. Now we have two cops following him. He drives over here. The only reason he stopped because he got stuck in he got he got stuck in traffic. And that's when he darted out of the car to to separate himself from his dad. And that's when we were able to get him out of the car. >> Okay. I don't care. Really? I don't care because he's one person. He's drunk. He's drunk. >> He's a drunk. >> I don't know. I don't know. Does he drink a lot? >> No, >> he is today. >> Okay. >> Yeah, >> that is my point. That is my point. >> No, I know. I mean, so >> my point. I am so so mad. >> You should be mad and that's okay because >> but right now the mama >> put your grand in a lot of danger. >> So be mad with your son, but make sure you love your grand. Okay. >> No, no, no. Take care. From now I going to take care of him. I going to make one one statement. He's going to live with me and he's going to stay with me all the time. >> Her decision to step up offers a moment of relief. But when she speaks about the boy's mother, officers realize just how deep the family issues run. >> Well, we'll have DCF. Does he have mom in his life or no? >> Said no. >> No, no, no. The mama. Okay. They had a lot of problem. They had they unparad the I had the papers right now. the DC the DCA >> Dave mom where's mom at >> the DCA they call full custody to him >> okay >> because >> all right so she's obviously got some problem so that's going to change today >> she went no wait she went to meet with one guy the guy put one pistol to my grandson >> and pulled the pistol to him and then was a lot of police over there too and she was in the jail the guy was on the And this one need mess. >> Yeah. Yeah. It sounds like a mess. >> Yes. She don't had nothing to do with him because she don't want to let let the guy forfeit. >> Mhm. Right. >> Now, do you do you do you live with your son or not? >> No. >> Two different houses. >> Yeah. Yes. >> Okay. I don't know. >> Yes. Because this thing don't happen. >> Okay. >> He live in another house. I live in another house. >> Okay. >> My point is right now what I have to do. Well, he's going to be going to the jail today. So, he might call you to get bonded out later this afternoon around 4, 5, 6:00. I don't go. >> This guy here, he's the boss over the school resource officers. Okay? You know what the school resource the cops at the school? He's their boss. All right? He already talked to your grand. So, I don't know how he feels about going back to school if he wants to go home. Um I mean you know that way he doesn't feel pressure >> take him into today because right now like I say first of all when he was like four years ago 5 years ago that poor little my baby had to pass for all this stuff that I told you with the police. The police is going to review him la. The guy put one gun to him. >> Mhm. >> The mama. Ultimately, the man was charged with fleeing from police, child endangerment, and driving under the influence while transporting his son. Number three, a special day at Disney turns into a nightmare because of mom's meltdown. On August 12th, 2024, officers were called to Disney World, the so-called happiest place on earth after a dispute between two mothers traveling together took a chaotic turn. Both families had spent the day at the park, but the argument escalated so quickly that police had to step in. Watch as officers speak with one of the women involved. >> What at some point you guys weren't able to watch? Tell me when you guys get angry at each other. What led to you guys pushing each other? >> We was running the car and something happened. We were driving the car the rental cuz you got to get in the rental and then come back. >> Okay. >> So, the rental was returned already and I was in there. was returned to rental and then I don't see it but her son it was altercation with her son and her >> and she that's her son her son was like why would you do her like that he was just screaming and holling like why would you do her like you snatched her hair I'm returning the car so I was turned I didn't see her snatch I cannot confess to that and he was yelling at her and I'm like what just happened and she snapped out on me and >> I went inside the car >> and carter Y can see all this on video cuz the man told them to be crying. So she was she told the man the one of the uh receptionist people like you. So she was real aggressive towards them. So I'm like okay like what's going on cuz I'm returning the car so I don't know what's going on. >> So as I come near she attacks me. >> Where was this at? >> Inside the ace. You can see all this on camera. >> This inside a vehicle. >> You could this No, this was never inside the vehicle. The building was gone at this point. >> The the ace. Yes. >> The business. It was inside the business. >> So she did all and I'm like >> I just don't want to be incriminating myself even talking to you because >> I need to try to incriminate him. We just want to get the whole picture of the story. >> I'm trying to give y'all the story. She dispanded bipolar. >> Okay. She was rallying at the people, which y'all can confess to all the workers. Y'all can see I even left. I was walking off and she still was coming. Both families were already preparing to head home after a seemingly pleasant day. But while loading into their rental vehicles, tensions exploded into a physical altercation. And according to the woman, she wasn't the one who started it. >> The whole time the workers, I guarantee if we talked to them, they said they on my side. I was never >> Let me ask you this because this is where I'm having difficulty. >> Okay. >> Trying to figure out locations is all >> the location was from the >> You got delivered here. So you guys you're arguing. Were you ever arguing inside this vehicle? >> It started like it was it started from the the rental >> the rental place >> and it just escalated. >> Okay. So you're at the rental place. You guys are arguing with each other. It gets inside the vehicle. You're driving here. But Mandel, I'm like thinking like, you know, she's like whatever. Like a lot of she say you let it like go over your head until she attack you. >> Like she can swing and hit you. Like she'll say a lot of to you and and y'all can catch that. God, Lord is my witness. >> I don't have to say much. I'm not trying to defend anything other than I got. >> So let me >> The door opens here. >> I leave. I get my child. She's running like I'm trying to attack her. I'm like, "Let's go. Let's go." >> The child or her? >> Me and my daughter. My daughter brought you. >> I don't know where she at. This is my oldest. And my baby me and my baby got our our uh luggage and we're leaving cuz I'm like whatever. her son is holding her like a a hair so she won't attack me again cuz at this point she has my hair and everything and I'm like you know what >> she has her off my hair >> she has your hair on the bus or off the bus? >> On the bus? >> On the bus. Okay. And the whole reason for her pulling your hair on my bus >> because like I'm like why would you talk to my child like that? So now we're arguing >> again we're arguing cuz I'm like why would you say that to I know that's her child. I would never disrespect your child like that. Why would you do my baby like that? Like my baby respect you, love you, you her family. Like why would you do her like that? Like whatever you got going on, that don't have nothing to do with her. She's a child. I would never do a baby like that. >> Unlike the first woman, this mother shows little restraint despite her daughter's tears and clear emotional distress over what's happening. >> Come on, sweetheart. >> Come on, baby. >> I got I got witnesses. Okay. Sh. >> Let's get her over here. So, we get >> Let's get over. >> Okay. Quit. Quit talking right now. >> Quit talking. >> I don't want to talk to you. >> You're going to get over here. You're going to get put in the back of my car, woman. >> I talk to you. >> Relax for a second. >> One second. One second. >> What do we tell you? >> I talk to you. >> You fixing to go in the back of my car. This is the reason. Listen to what they got to say. >> Hey. Hey. I want to hear what you have to say, but I want to get her away from this. Let's go over here. I want to get the baby away from this. Come on, sweetheart. Come on over here. I want to get her away from us. >> And you're being all nasty. >> She attack us because >> my daughter always better than her daughter, right? >> Yeah. Got it. You guys got in a heated fight. Sweetheart, you're okay. You want to sit on my my tailgate? >> You sure? Don't be scared. I got you. >> Turn on. >> Deep breath. >> Come on, baby. >> Like, I'm going to be out to call you. >> Oh my god. That got a good one on me. >> With emotions running high, it's time to hear what she has to say. >> Yes. Well, she's going to be a child, right? >> So, okay. So, you guys got in a little bit of an argument. >> She slapped her child. >> She did what? Baby, >> she slapped her child. >> She slapped her child. >> She didn't slap you slap you. >> No, no, no, no. The other child. >> I know. She slapped her and she beat her. >> She hit her. >> Yeah. No, she beat her. >> Oh, okay. Now I got >> That's why we got the fire. >> I just want to make sure that she's okay. >> Because she cuz she crying. >> Okay. She crying and then her mama got mad cuz she was crying. >> Okay. >> Okay. Well, we'll deal with that. But I just want to make sure you're okay. You okay, baby? >> Okay. You okay? You hit you. >> I took when you were jumping. I didn't know where to go. >> Yes. I jumped up and I said no. >> We can't understand you when you're all he >> and she hit me. I got to >> Let me look. I got >> Close your eyes for me so much. Let me see. Hold on. >> Close your eyes so I don't bl How'd she hit you? >> Do it look bad? >> No, it don't look bad at all. >> Okay, cuz she didn't hit hard. >> Okay. So, what she did to smack you? >> No. Like, she came trying to punch. >> Okay. Did she touch you? She hit you? >> No. >> Okay. Did you see mama? Is this your daughter, right? >> Yes. >> Okay. What's your name, sweetie? >> Dream. >> Okay. My name >> is a dream. >> A dream. Okay. >> A D R E M. >> Where are you guys going? Where you guys head? my home. >> Oh, you guys live here? >> No, we live in Chicago. >> Oh, so you're getting on a plane to go home? >> Yeah, we just came on a plane to go home. >> Who is shoot to you? >> Um, that's my cousin. >> She's your cousin. >> That's her daughter. And that's her daughter right there. >> Okay. >> Try and calm her down a little bit. I'm going to go over there and see what's going on and we'll work it out. Right. >> So, sit here. If you want to sit up here, you can. All right, baby. Though she's shared her ride, it's clear her actions are setting a troubling example for her child. >> Getting IDs for you. >> Huh? >> Like she's at my >> twice already. >> She been on her kids all the time. >> My kids scared of her. >> Her kids scared of her. >> Fix yourself. I keep telling you to fix yourself. >> Her kids scared of her. >> There you go. >> And I mean it. fix this. But I have to >> My daughter never >> dealt with this. >> No worries. We'll we'll get to it. >> Okay. >> Do you have um I got to get their IDs. Do you guys have your ID on you or >> My purse is in the car. >> In the car or in the in the van here? >> In the No, it's my purse is in the car. >> Where's the car? >> Did she hit me? >> Where's the car? Oh, yeah. She told me she hit you. Yeah, she hit you. >> Exactly. So, she offended me first. I never did nothing to her. She got to go to jail. We're going to figure it out. Okay. Where's your Where's your daughter? Where's your daughter? >> My daughter hate on my daughter. >> Where's your daughter, >> G? Anytime my daughter get >> We got to go step by step. Okay. >> Anytime you get my daughter. >> Where's your Where's your ID? >> My daughter tried to fight her. Right. >> Okay, darling. >> Like they hated. >> Where's your ID? I'll walk you with it. >> My ID is >> in the in the truck or in a car? >> In the car where we came from. >> Where's the car at? You remember >> the um the the place we had to turn the car in. >> Oh, the Avis. Yes. Or whatever it is. >> And and she the reason why we got the car. She drove there. Everything. >> Where's the car right now? It's parked over there. It's there. >> It's parked over there. >> Okay. I will never harm my daughter. >> Your daughter's fine. >> I will never. Please don't never hurt my daughter. >> Okay. Your daughter's fine. That's That's why I wanted to get over here. But you need to calm down. Okay. >> I know. Please, baby, you need to calm down. Please, she's my daughter. My daughter, I love my daughter. >> The longer this goes on, the more it's affecting her daughter. But with her judgment clouded by alcohol, the woman doesn't seem to realize it. >> Mommy, don't I love you? Do I? Don't give me your treat. I would never do you like that, Mommy. >> Ma'am, ma'am, ma'am, calm down. Deep breath, cuz I got to get the information out. >> What's your first What's your first My name is What's your name? >> My name is Kristen. >> Kristen, how do we get How do we get this whole fighting part, right? >> Why did she have a bruise? How who she How did she hit you? What's going on here? Let's get to it. Let's get >> Oh my god. I got to keep telling the story over. I'm need Who else need to know? Hold on. Wait. What other officer For real? Because I'm getting irritated because I was attacked. >> For real. Y'all Because y'all going to look at me cuz I'm darker than this right here who's crazy. And I could call everybody. I swear. It's so >> it's not about >> No, because I'm tired of telling this same story. I just told it to him and the ask the airport people because I left. >> Okay. >> Cuz ask act ask about what happened right here. >> Where did she hit you? >> On the bus. And then when we was coming out here because she's crazy. >> Okay. She's crazy. And then how did she get the bruise on her face? >> Cuz I fell back. I defended myself. >> Okay. >> And asked her son who was the police at that point cuz there were no police on there. >> Okay. So she was the van. She got crazy. She tried to hit you. Ask the people. And listen, I got a bunch of back. Listen, I need an attorney. I don't want to say else. So, if y'all going to arrest me or do it, do it right now. >> No. >> So, I can have my family come get my kids. I got money. I would get an attorney cuz at this point, I'm tired. I'm tired of talking. I'm tired of talking. >> Is that if that's what we wanted to do, you'll be in cuff. >> Listen, I'm tired. >> Y'all don't even understand how this [ __ ] is so emotional cuz I try to help her. I got you. >> This lady pissed on herself. >> Both women insist the other was the aggressor, leaving officers to sort through conflicting stories and decide how to handle the situation. But before they can make that call, the second woman ends up making things worse for herself. >> Listen, listen up. Listen, listen, please do that. This is the officer that needs to speak to you. Tell you what >> I would do for my birthday. >> Okay, we understand that. But I need to speak with you now. I need to got >> I don't care. I'm going to get her back. You better know that we got to Chicago. >> She got that right now cuz she had >> authority. We was on a bus. >> Okay. So, let's not go down that route right now. >> I don't care you. I don't want that. >> No. Stay over here so we can pull over. >> Mom, we could go. Stay over here. >> I didn't do nothing. >> Stay over here. You're about to do something and you're going to end up in cuffs. I'm telling you that right now. Stop. >> What did I do? >> You're not in charge here. >> You're not in charge of this man's in charge here. That's it. >> You do not run the show here. You're going to listen to him or you're going to go to jail. I promise you that. >> I'm trying to keep I'm trying to keep you. >> You're not in charge here. >> You're not in charge. Sit here. >> So, what else I was going to say? Y'all supposed to sit here like we asked you to. >> Relax and answer his questions. >> Okay. So, I just Just answer that. Just answer my questions real quick and that's it. Or I'm going to slap these cups on you and so you up real quick. >> I'm going stop playing these games. >> You say so me up. But I >> So stop playing these games and that's it. I'm done with that. >> Let me look up these state laws. >> Okay. Whatever the state law you think it is. We're in Florida. We're not in Chicago. I know. >> So bottom line, I'm going to ask you a few questions. Okay. And that's it. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> You guys were at the car rental. You guys rode here, right? uh disturbance of whatever kind. >> I didn't disturb the piece. >> Listen to me. >> I wasn't. >> If you're talking, you're not listening. >> So, y'all want me to press charges, right? >> If you're talking, you're not listening. >> Oh my god. >> You're not You're not even understanding me. You're interrupting. >> The officers try to get a clear statement, but it's obvious she's in no condition to hold a coherent conversation. >> So, I'm trying to make sure I have the sequence of events properly. Okay. Proper. >> I don't want to do nothing. I'm telling you. Okay. Well, well, whether you want to or not, you have to help me clarify this. >> I'm telling you. >> So, >> you guys got here, >> right? A little argument happened between you and your cousin. Is she really your cousin or are you guys just friends? And >> I'm telling Matt, >> they're really, >> are you going to talk to me or not? >> They're really cousins, >> but I I don't want to do that. I'm good. Like, >> it's just a yes or no. Are you not? Okay. You're not. Okay. >> Okay. Awesome. >> Thank you. for hang with her. Please help with me. >> Despite the uncertainty, officers can't wait much longer. They begin discussing how to handle the situation from here. >> Okay. >> And what what did she say about her? >> She's saying that her granddad is cousins with someone else in the family. >> Oh my god. I can't even articulate the whole Right. Okay. >> So, she just said no. She's saying yes. Okay. Um, >> but I don't consider that to be a bloodline. >> I don't believe it at all. >> Okay. >> So, >> I got this here. Um, she's saying, "Hey, if she's going to write a statement, she'll write one." So, obviously, if she's not going to, she's not going to. >> What's that? >> If she just told me if she's going to write a statement, then she will. >> But she's not going to. So, then she won't. >> Okay. So, here's the thing is that uh if so, we've determined here this is I read I pulled up the policy by the way. >> Uh and they're not living in the family in the household together, are they? >> No. >> No. Okay. So, that's good. Got spouses. They don't have a baby in common. Uh so, it's good. The whole bloodline thing, that's kind of that's kind of far from there. What I would do in this point is that she says that she wasn't going to press any charges. I would I would give the written declaration of non of nonprosecution, which wouldn't be just this bottom >> right here. My signature remains uh I refuse to prosecute people. She would sign that and do that there. One line. I do not want to prosecute. Don't make it fancy. I don't give a look. However, okay. >> Yep. >> Um and but uh we can honestly say we do the policy. >> Yep. >> Uh this is unable to determine if there's actually a bloodline here. >> Um she says no. She's by the great great grandfather of the fifth of the fourth. >> That's hard to establish. Um okay. And then same thing with her. So, um, but I would, what you're going to have to do, though, is go like, um, >> do we believe that she's a primary aggressor? Yes. >> Yes. >> Uh, she down now. Therefore, she's doing simple 85 a battery. They ask her if she will press charges or not. Okay. >> Okay. If she says no, then same thing. Declaration of saying, "No, that and that's it." She says yes, then. Officers are ready to deliver their decision, and both women are about to hear what comes next. >> Hey. All right. So, here's the deal. >> Are you listening? Are you understanding me? >> Yes. >> All right. Cool. Lower your voice, please. >> Lower your voice. >> I You're somebody else. Could you >> listen to me? >> I need you to listen to me, okay? If you want to stay out of jail. >> All right. So, how about this? Calm >> down. Listen. This is a paper I need you to write and sign. >> I'm not signing anything without a lawyer. >> I'm not signing anything without a lawyer. >> You're going to listen. >> So, I'm I'mma let my lawyer speak to y'all. I'm not saying it. >> Are you But just listen. >> I'm not saying it. >> I need you to give me a chance to talk to >> I know. Stay still, my man. >> Listen to me. >> I'm not saying it though. Is that my right? >> No, it's not. >> Is that my right? Yes, that is. You know that. >> But listen to me. You no person I don't have to. >> I'm not asking you anything. Listen. Are you >> I don't want to sign it. >> Can you please listen on the last side? >> You're not getting a black person with me. >> Cool. What's your mama? >> You okay? >> I'm not signing that. >> Okay. Um uh Well, what do you say? Did you tell her this was just >> I told her and she doesn't want to sign anything. >> I don't want to sign. >> Okay. All this is And it's cool if you don't have to. It's >> I don't want to sign. >> Okay. Let me explain to you what this is. Okay. All this is is saying that You are allowing us to leave. >> Nothing. >> I got to read it. I'mma read it on my own. >> Right now it's nothing. >> Okay. So what is I'm reading to say you on your right I'm not signing it. >> Okay. That's fine. It's you don't have to. >> I'm not signing on video so it's okay. Okay. >> I'm not signing it. I'm cool. >> Can I walk off? >> Hold on. No. Not yet. Not yet. Not yet. We'll let you know when you can walk off. The officers explain the situation, but it's clear she's not fully grasping what's being said. >> I'm not being a tough. I'm not being white. >> You're lovely. >> I'm a black citizen. >> We been getting cute. >> Okay, baby. So, >> I thought at least >> Gez, y'all know how many people that entered the United States in Chicago that been taking our kids I >> miss taking the organ. The black organ. I'm equipped to it. >> I could never step over here. Step over. >> I could never let that happen. I'm over here. >> I die before I do that. >> You trying to give me your best options. Okay. >> I don't care about no. I'm not signing anything. >> Please let me go >> on my free will. Let me go. >> Let me go on my free will. Please. Could you excuse me? I don't want to do anything. >> Please. Please let me go. >> Please don't touch me. >> Don't touch me. >> Please don't touch me. >> I want to walk away and I want to walk away on my free will. >> Please don't touch me. I didn't touch you. You want me to touch you? >> Stay right here. >> Please let me go. >> Like you don't realize people are trying to help you. >> Please y'all can't help me. I'm not ready to charge you. >> I'm not You touching me. >> You're not going to walk behind me. >> You're touching me. >> You're not going to walk beyond me. >> I know what type of cop you are. >> Stay here and we're going to take care of you. >> Please don't touch me. >> I'm telling y'all. I don't want to do anything. Let me go. >> You have green light for that. So, let's get the kid out. >> I don't want to. I don't want to rush towards you. You >> take my hand for me. >> I want to go. real quick. >> I want to go home. Please don't touch my daughter. Please don't touch my daughter. Please don't touch my daughter. My daughter. >> She may be injured, but after hearing both sides and reviewing the events, officers determined that she was also an instigator in the fight. [Applause] over and over again. >> Your baby's fine. Your baby's being very very grown up in >> awesome. Unfortunately, you ate too much. Too loud. Too loud. Too much. >> You get multiple chances, man. >> No. Y'all ain't giving me no chance. >> Let's go to the car. I even my back. [Music] [Applause] By the end of the encounter, the woman is placed under arrest and formally charged with battery, disorderly conduct, and resisting. Number two, father showed zero concern for his kids. On May 9th, 2025, a patrol officer noticed a vehicle swerving at high speed and quickly moved in to make a traffic stop. However, what he found out is more troubling than expected. Here's what happened. Put your hands out the window now. Put your hands out the window. I'm not playing with you. What do you mean? >> There are three children in the car and the officer makes it clear just how unacceptable that is. But in his intoxicated state, the man seems unaware or indifferent to the risk he posed to his kids. >> I pissed my pants. Really? >> Sure looks like it. >> No, sir. I didn't piss on my pants. >> Really? I pissed my pants? >> Well, when people are drunk and they don't know it, they piss their pants. It happens all the time. >> Piss my pants. >> Okay. >> Wow. I'm not driving crazy. >> Okay. >> So, you don't even know that you did it. You think I'm just making all this up? Are you questioning my integrity? Is that what you're doing? >> No, I'm not. >> Well, you are because you tell me you didn't do it and I watched you do it instead of those three juveniles I was dealing with while you blew by me. >> Three juveniles? What are you talking about? >> That's exactly my point. You just blew by me going that way. I was out with three juveniles and you almost hit my patrol car. >> No, sir. I never I never almost hit you at all. I want to see cameras. >> It's all on camera. Don't worry about it. >> Put it on camera, please. Yes, sir. Put it on camera. >> Sounds good. >> That's right. Yes, sir. Put it on camera. >> I did nothing wrong. >> Okay. >> Whatsoever. >> We'll find out. >> I'm going towards my house. My house is right here across the church right here. >> Okay. We'll find out here in a minute. >> No, not at all. >> Unbelievable. >> I don't understand what I did. I'm I apologize for >> If you don't understand what you did, that's the problem. >> That's the problem. >> If you If you're telling me you don't know what you did, that's the problem. And you're driving like that car. >> Yeah, those are kids. Young are kids. >> Me going towards my house >> and going back that way at 100 miles an hour. Literally >> 100 miles an hour, dude. I was going 100. >> You were way. >> You are insane, bro. If you think I was going 100, you were insane. I'm sorry. Look, >> when did you start the service, >> buddy? I've been here a long time. This ain't my first day. >> Listen, I'm not trying to argue with you, but I was not doing >> No way. I was doing 100. No, sir. No, sir. I wasn't. >> Well, you're pissed drunk, so you're full. Did you guys go check on the kids in the car? >> Yeah. >> Yeah, that was in his That was in his lap. >> So, okay. >> No, it wasn't my lap. >> Yes, it was. >> It didn't just fall from the sky. It's all on camera. >> What a glass. >> Was it my lap? >> Okay. >> Okay. You're right. There was a glass in my left. >> What does that mean? >> An empty glass in my left. Next, the officer checks on the children, starting with a brief conversation with one of the kids in the back. >> How's it going? Sorry to everybody's being a maniac. >> Yeah. >> You know, did you guys just drive down that way and then you came back this way? >> Yeah, you went by Tom's. You guys saw me over there. Okay. >> Listen, I apologize to me. I'm more pissed off that you're not coherent enough to drive your vehicle car. my government to my house. Yes, sir. I ain't. >> So, tell me why your would say yeah, drunk and he was just driving really fast up and down this road and told him to stop. You think an 8-year-old make that up? >> He's a child. >> He's going to say what he says. >> So, he's so he shouldn't even know what drunk is, right? >> He's a child, >> dude. Look at here, man. >> Do what? >> You're being You're being oblivious. >> I am. You have >> I'm a father. I would never. >> My home is right here. Yeah. >> So, does that just make it okay that you should just get to go home because you're drunk? >> Look, I'm not doing nothing to to to put my >> life in danger. >> You are because they're in the vehicle. And then you about put my life in danger when you almost hit me, >> sir. No, I did not almost hit you. No, sir. I did not almost hit you. >> I don't know what to tell you. >> I did not almost hit you. No, sir. >> You're being honestly ridiculous right now. You really are. >> I don't really care what you think. Be honest with you. I'm telling you what happened. So, >> I apologize if you think that I did. >> I don't think that it happened. I'm telling you it did. >> But I did not. No, sir. >> I don't got to argue with you. So, >> it did. It did happen. You can be in denial all you want to about happen. So, >> listen. You think that I'm not >> Well, you're telling me I'm wrong. So, that's question of my integrity. I'm telling you. >> Okay. Whatever you say, bud. Look at arguing with you, man. I'm not >> I'm not arguing with you, man. I'm not. >> But I apologize if you think I did. I'm sorry. But I did not. >> Just moments later, the children's mother arrives at the scene, clearly shaken by what she's walked into. >> Watch the glass. >> I could have drove, but I just ran. >> All right, you're good. You said you guys live right there. >> Yes. >> Yeah. So, he about hit me over there on the side of the road um going going off the road on Cooper going that way. >> Um while I was dealing with three other people >> and then they were like, "You're not you're going to keep messing with us and not going to stop that guy the way he's driving." Well, then I was trying to finish with him and then he went through the neighborhood over there, came back out at Mary, blew the stop sign, spinning tires, doing like 70 both ways. >> Exactly. >> So, not only did he almost he's also riskinglessly the kids. >> Uh, this fell out of his lap, so I'm assuming that probably came from Ryan's if that's where you guys came from. >> Um, >> okay. Glass. I wasn't sure, but yeah. >> Yeah, it was in his fell out of his lap. So, once we're done with him, then they can go with Does he normally piss his pants? Is that normal for him? >> He doesn't. >> Okay. But okay. >> But not when he's awake and coherent. No. >> What's your name? >> Mason. >> Mason. All right. So, >> my deputy just told me he observed you. >> You're the traffic now. Okay. >> Unfortunately. Yes, sir. >> So, after he made contact with you, obviously I'm seeing it, too. I'm selling, you know, slur speech. You're leaning up against this vehicle. I really hope You didn't feed yourself? >> No, sir. That's drink. >> Drink. >> There's a glass over there. >> What kind of drink was it? >> Just water. >> Just water on the left. >> Yes, sir. >> Where did you Where are you guys coming from? >> Uh, it came from Ryan's. >> Ryan's off of Duncan Road there. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. All right. I don't know if there's one here in the downtown. >> No, sir. No, sir. Ryan's downtown. >> Okay. All right. So, based on his observations, my observations on these speaking to you, I'm just going to run you through. Okay. All it is is that make sure that you're able to operate the vehicle. doesn't mean that you're in any trouble at all. >> I don't want to to do a field surprise test. No, sir. I don't. I live right here. I don't care to. So, like I said, my house is right here street. >> It's clear to just about anyone that the man is intoxicated, but for some reason, he seems convinced he can convince the officers otherwise. >> Behind your license in front of your license. All right. That >> Why am I going to jail? Because I look right here. >> Let me speak to you. So based on my observations, his observations, >> I'm not being >> I know. Well, you asked, so I'm explaining it to you, right? I hope I'm not being >> No, you're not being explain it to you. So the way that >> that works is >> what do I need to do to >> dispel my fear that you're not intoxicated is run us through field sobriety. That's it. >> Okay, >> that's all it is. It's either you do it or you don't. >> All right. Just like how it says on I I'll show you my license. >> I am right here in my house, man. I get it >> right here. Can you read over there at the bottom? >> I'm not being the motor vehicle constitution of any sobriety but test required by law. Okay. So that's all it is just based on my observations. I'm not accusing you of anything. It's just based on my observations. I just need to dispel my fear that you're able to operate. >> What do you want me to do? >> I will you consent to run through fields for >> Can you run me through what you want me to do? >> I can I can do it through without me consenting. Let me know what you want me to do. >> You don't Whatever. So you're if you want to do them, it's yes or no. >> What do you want me to do? I want to know what you want me to do. >> So you see the tip of my pen here. All right. With that tip of your pen, do you mind touching with the tip of your finger? Like that. >> Why you shaking? >> Yeah. I don't know why. >> Why are you shaking so bad? >> Probably too much caffeine. >> I can't. What's going on? >> There you go. >> Okay. Oh, >> you got it. I know that. >> Whoa, bro. Whoa. Listen. Can somebody else hold the pen? >> No, I just have drank too much caffeine. Okay. Well, you see what it is, right? You touched it. >> Well, I'm just saying you're like this. >> Do you see the tip of my pen? >> I do. Okay. Okay. But can Can I record this or no? >> It's all record. >> It's all recorded on camera. >> I mean, your pen is doing this right here. >> It's pretty straight. >> Okay. It's pretty straight. >> Yeah, it's straight. >> Okay. Yes, sir. >> You touched it. You touched it. You're good. Put your hand down. Okay. >> So, the tip of the pen that you just touched with your tip of your finger, you're going to fall in with your eyes and your eyes only. Okay. Do not move your head. >> Good. >> Do you understand? >> Good. >> Do you mind taking your hands out of your pocket? >> Keep them straight to your side. Like I said, >> you're shaking a lot. >> Follow your eye. You're shaking what? >> What does that do? >> He stumbles through the first test and the officers are already close to making a call. Then with one more action, the man seals his own fate. >> Can you follow it? >> I'm following. Are you doing it? >> I'm doing Am I doing it? >> Can you just stop? >> Am I doing it or no? >> Can you stop talking? >> I'm doing it. I'm doing it. Right. >> Go ahead. Just follow it. >> Go ahead. >> Follow it. Do you feel comfortable walking in those? >> No, I don't. >> Do you mind taking them off? >> No, sir. >> I'm not walking in a straight line. There's no straight line here. There's no line here in the road. No sir. >> There's no straight line. >> You can't imagine a straight line or anything? >> Nope. I can't imagine. >> You know what we can do? There is a straight line. Walk over here. >> I'm not doing it. >> You're not. Just put your hands behind your back. >> No, sir. >> Put your hands behind my back. >> Why are you not going to say no to me when I tell you? Put your hands behind your back. >> Okay. I'm not I'm not I'm not I'm not losing, sir. Then don't say no and don't push off. >> I'm not pushing you, sir. >> I'm not. >> I'm not being a buttthead, dude. Look, look. Why am I being a ripper? >> I will do what you want me to do. >> No, you're too late for that. You're You're being the No, you're too late. >> Wow. >> Okay. I'm sorry. >> Check that buckle. What is Why the am I being arrested, man? I don't know why. Okay. Thank you. Thank you for all this. >> All right. So, >> based on that, your husband's under arrest for DUI. Okay. Just so you know, it's an enhancement as well because there's children under the age of 18 in the vehicle and due to his actions and my observation, DCF will be called on matter. >> Okay. >> Yeah. The catching Oh no, he will. >> So I So based on what my off my deputy here said, >> obviously the speeding. >> So we have them. We pulled him over. We made contact with him. >> I smell the alcohol in him in his in his breath. >> All right. >> They don't just serve glass to go on glass like that. >> Absolutely not. >> Things go from bad to worse when officers find a loaded firearm tucked away in the vehicle. >> So based on all that, I'd never accuse them of anything. I don't know if you could hear the conversation that I was having. No. >> So, all we did there was try to run him through field sobriety just to dispel our fears that he's able to operate the motor vehicle. He's not impaired in any sort. Okay. That's all it was. >> So, I showed him my driver's license. Your driver's license says it as well. Under your address, it says that perfor you have to do field sobriety. >> Mhm. >> I explained that to him. That kind of changed his mind cuz he said no. Just of him saying no once, I could have automatically taken him to jail. But I wanted to give him every opportunity to do it just to dispel my fears cuz like I said, I didn't want to accuse him of anything, right? Cuz you can drink. The issue comes now where you you're unable to operate the motor vehicle. The speeding down a school zone. I don't know if you can see this. It's not It's not an active school zone, but there's still children playing. I know there's baseball to practice on on Thursdays. You know what I'm talking about. >> Yes. >> Giving the area here. It's unacceptable, >> right? So I do it here. He started saying, "Oh, you're shaking. You're moving. You're all this." All he has to do, it doesn't matter if I'm shaking. All he has to do is just follow my my pen. He didn't want to he didn't wasn't want to doing it. He couldn't follow it. His eyes were like this. >> Mhm. >> All right. Which shows that his impairment level is is pretty high. Then I tried to do him to walk in just to do a walk and turn. At that time, like I said, never accuse him of anything. He's like, "Oh, I'm not doing it. I'm not." All I ask him, "Do you feel comfortable in the shoes that you're wearing? If you don't, take them off just to do this." "Oh, there's not a straight line here. I can't do it. Okay, well, we'll move over there where there's a straight line. No, I don't want to do it. So, I'm like, okay, if you don't want to do it, then you're going to jail. He obviously wanted to push away. Didn't want to turn around for me. Then that's where we're at. It's now evident that this wasn't a one-time lapse in judgment. And the man has a history of alcohol-related problems. Obviously, I did not want it to go that way cuz there's children. They're not 3 years old, so they're going to remember this for their whole life. That's not why we do our things, right? I'm sure this is probably the first interaction they've had with the with with law enforcement. Has it been? >> No. >> Okay. Well, I thought so. Obviously, I didn't want this to be their first one, right? Without them understanding. >> This is not They know exactly what's going on. Well, my oldest that was. Yeah. >> So, I'm going to I'm just going to ask you. >> Was he drinking at was what was in that in that? >> Oh, absolutely. It was um Jack and Coke cuz what he was I could I could smell >> He's been drinking since 1:00 today. >> Since 1:00. >> Yes. >> Okay. And he does that on a consistent basis. >> Oh yeah. >> Okay. I'm just going to get a Do you mind lock? >> The man was later charged with DUI, child endangerment, resisting arrest, and possession of a firearm in the course of committing a felony. Number one, when a father becomes the danger instead of the protector. This final case begins with a chilling 911 call about a man reportedly chasing a woman and a young girl along the shoulder of a highway. Multiple witnesses called it in, prompting a swift response from officers. And when officers arrive, the scene speaks for itself. >> What's going on? >> Hey, man. >> Yeah, that >> Hey, get over here. >> Turn turns back right now. Okay. I got five window. >> Just hop hop over here. Right. >> What's going on there? Like we didn't run out of gas. Just running like >> Yeah. That one you pass >> that white vehicle over there. >> Yeah. >> All right. And then she have a license, so I didn't want to really drive. You know what I mean? What? >> Give me a second. Try to figure this out. All right. >> Both mother and daughter are visibly shaken, but the officer still has to piece together what led to this terrifying moment. >> So, me and my daughter were just coming back from our vacation in Puerto Rico. we got in this this um afternoon late night this afternoon we live in Georgia so he was my my parents and I live in St. Cloud or my parents live in St. Wow. That's where we came. So, he didn't keep me up. And it was probably like 6 6:30 or whatever, but this is how far we made it. He's he's annihilated drunk. He He swerved he kicked my windshield in trying to take my phone and he swerved over from that lane all the way over here. So finally I >> but in my in the car I was doing it purposely because I'm leaving. I'm leaving. >> So he was driving recklessly >> on purpose. >> All right. Did he Did he >> And then I got to get out of the car. >> Did he touch you? >> Oh, no. Yeah, he did. You can ask her. Where did he strangle mommy at? >> He strangled you? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Did he hit you or anything? Slap you or punch you or anything? >> Yeah, yeah, he slapped me right here >> in the mouth. Who you? >> That's my husband. >> That's your husband? Yeah, but it's gonna be >> Are you Are you willing to try to save me for me? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> I want to move away. I want >> Okay, that's fine. That's fine. Situation >> because you know because this is this is >> medical attention. >> No, but I need to make sure that my daughter is going to be sick. >> Okay. Okay, that's fine. >> I don't want this. I don't want TCF involved. I just want to take my baby home and >> so we're here now. We'll figure everything out. Okay. Take a breather. Okay. Just take a breather. >> Just take a moment. Gather everything. >> Take a moment. Gather everything up. Okay. I'm going to put that piece of paper. All right. >> Put it on. Very funny. >> Now it's the man's turn to answer questions as officers try to piece together what led to the 911 calls. >> You want to read them? >> What's that? >> You want to read them and see if you want to give a statement? All right. >> Okay. You tell me what's um So you you're telling me you were just running out of gas car? >> No, I don't know what it is. to like run with the >> Okay. >> And then she was driving but she ain't got her license. So I was like I pulled over and pulled over and then she got mad as started acting crazy. >> Whose car is it? >> It's her car. It's her car. >> Who has the keys? >> She does. She was driving. >> Okay. She was driving, right? >> She's driving this way. >> Yeah, but she she ain't got no license. So that's why I was like, "Here, pull over." You know what I mean? Once we get on this on this interstate out there, let me drive. Okay, let's go to >> Sorry. You have ID on you or anything? >> No. >> Where you guys coming from? >> Georgia. >> Sorry. But we came from Georgia 6 and then we came to Indiana store items on the side of the building. >> Jeffrey Jeffrey Moore [Music] just >> you got more money in this wallet. >> Hey, I'm going to throw the rest money in your wallet. All right. >> You want it in your wallet? >> Money? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> All right. You want you want her to have anything on you? >> Have you have have you uh have to see in the car real quick? All right. >> Uh yeah, I I guess she's going to have to >> Yes. >> anything. >> Despite the serious allegations, the man continues to deny his wife's claims. So officers read him his rights and give him one more opportunity to be honest. >> She got an ID and stuff. >> I I don't know. I haven't got that far. >> Male black clothing. >> All right, man. I'm going to read you something. Okay. And you guys I need yes or no if you understand them. Okay. >> It's just cuz I ask you questions. Okay. >> You have the right to remain silent if you understand. >> I need yes or no. >> I can basically >> and then you say maybe use against you in a court. Do you understand? >> Yes, sir. >> You have the right to talk to a lawyer before and during questions. Do you understand? >> Yes, sir. >> If you cannot afford a lawyer and want one, we'll provide for you before questioning you without trust. Do you understand? >> Yes, sir. >> Has anyone threatened you or promised you anything to get you to talk to? >> Okay. You want to talk to me? >> All right. Um, >> what's going on here, man? >> There's more there's more than what you're telling me. We've been arguing for like months. So, I mean, >> I just drove all the way down from Kingston, Georgia today to pick her up. >> Okay. So, >> what brought you guys to pull over and get off the road? That's what I'm trying to do. >> No, because that's that she's acting crazy. I just want to stay here with my mom. >> No, she's like, I just want to stay here with my mom. I don't want to be with you. >> Okay. >> So, what made you guys pull over? >> She pulled over. She was driving. >> She was driving? Yeah. >> Or you were driving? >> No, she was driving. Yeah, I told her to get on the interstate and let me drive. >> Gotcha. >> And she's like, >> "Well, >> so we'll make her get out of the car and you get out of the car >> and start going on the the road walking over here." >> Because I told her take me to Banell. Where's my the truck is? You know what I mean? >> Okay. >> I just want to go there. >> Why' she get out of the car? >> She because she wanted to go to Banell. That's why I don't understand. She She jumped out of the car. >> Why' you get out of the car and follow me? I just want to go to Banel. All right. >> I I just want to go to my other truck. You understand? Who >> the car? >> She did. Okay. >> But like that's the thing. Like I'm like look, >> all right. You want to be like this and we're nothing's cool. >> He insists once again that nothing physical happened. But the officers have heard enough to know not to take his word at face value. >> But take take me to ban. She like, "No, I'm going to drop you off here." Like we stopped in. We've done this like four times. Okay, I got you. Okay. Um, was it just a verbal argument? Was anything physical happened or anything? >> No. Yeah, not physical. >> All right. >> That's my wife. >> I was just wondering cuz I saw when I when I was holding up you grabbing her on the arm, man. >> Yeah. No. Yeah. Like >> Okay. All right. >> Never. Never. >> Okay. I got you, man. You guys had a a previous uh physical um alteration before or anything like that? >> No. All right, man. Um, you're just a tank for now because I'm just messing. You're not resting anything. Um, just sit right here. I'm looking. >> You willing to write everything down that happened today? >> Yeah, I want him to wait for me. >> Okay. How long y'all been married? >> We've been together for 4 years. But April, April 13th will be a year we were married. >> Oh, so you're not even a year yet? Kids together? >> Huh? You have the kids together. That's sir. >> He's sick. He needs help. >> Is he drunk right now? >> Yeah. >> Okay. I wonder. >> He's always driving. He's always high. Yeah. And I just And so I was driving and he took my He kicked the rearview mirror in. He climbed over my thing over. I still wonder how he didn't crash out here. And he he he swerved over from like the the middle lane all the way over here. >> Was he driving? >> No. He snatched my steering wheel. >> Did he hit you any? >> Yeah. All right. >> She started freaking out. So that's why I parked it and I just got out. I started running and then he started running after us. So we were running back and forth. >> Officers later find that similar incidents have been reported in the man's past. And he was running because >> I'm scared. >> You know he was going to >> Yeah. >> Has he done it before? >> Yeah. >> Been arrested. Has he been arrested for it before? >> Previous >> relationship. Not with you. >> But we went through an incident. >> How many times have you been arrested for domestic? >> For him? >> Yeah. >> I I don't know. >> I don't know how long you knew him. >> Uh about 10 years. All I know >> 10 years. >> Yeah. >> I've been married almost one, >> which I've been together for >> four. >> Four. >> We changed. We moved to Georgia. >> Uhhuh. >> He left this area cuz he's from this area. And it was real. He got real bad off. And then he went to prison and he came out. And the second time he went to or when he got out of prison, we decided to try to make a relationship out. He wanted different. I wanted different for myself. So we moved to Georgia, started our own lawn maintenance business, very successful. I thought he was over the D. He also he obviously has demons in him that it needs to be released from somewhere and I'm just so the only thing that I'm really worried about again. >> No, I was I just got back today. Her and I went on on my do my oldest daughter plays volleyball and we went to Puerto Rico for a volleyball tournament. had a best class. And this is where we come home to. >> Oh, I was just I was away from him. >> Yeah, I just got off the plane >> today. Right now. >> Yes. >> Oh, you picked her up from the airport. >> He picked me He picked me up from my mom's house drunk. So, my mom my dad picked my mom. It was me, my mom, my daughter, and and my other baby. >> Where's your other daughter? >> She's she's she lives in St. Cloud with my mom. >> The woman's account leaves no room for doubt. What she describes reveals a pattern of mistreatment that's been going on far too long. >> And you think it's a better situation for her here? >> Yeah. Yeah. No, nobody wants to be around this. I I just got her back last March. >> Huh? >> Yes. They Georgia had her for 8 months and I don't want this to happen. I >> because of his behavior. >> Because of him. It's because of his. >> So together for four, married for one. >> All right. Let me get some paperwork. >> Yeah. Hey, I'm going walk her back to her car cuz she said her ID and stuff is there. >> Yeah, I know. I see it. >> I have it. You have it? >> Yeah, I have it in my purse. I try to hide everything from her because he was trying to drink everything. >> So, I'm going to call um and see if somebody can What? What I'm going to do is listen. >> Do you have a license? Ever had one? >> I've had one. It's just suspended. >> Suspended? Why? It's been suspended for 15 years. >> Wow. >> But because I when I got a DUI, I never got it. I'm I was I'm in the process of getting it now. >> Reinstated. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. So, listen. >> The vehicle is in my name. But in Georgia Hey, get down. >> Listen. Don't drive. All right. >> I'm not going to drive. >> No, I didn't want to. I didn't want to with him, but I I didn't I didn't have any >> Listen, this is what I'm going to tell you. I don't want the car to stay there and I don't want you to stay here especially after we're done with just I'm sorry it was bothering me. It looked like it was bothering you already. >> All right. So once we're done here statement everything we get you guys out of here. I want you to drive off to the next exit. It's a gas station on the right hand side. I'm familiar with this. So it's right there across. >> Get off of John. Exactly. Okay. >> All in that drive um that gas station. Wait for a family member to drive because if you're caught driving, you could go to jail and I don't want that. All right. You caught driving past that, you're going to get in trouble and then you know you don't want to get in trouble. >> The man was later booked for battery. Think they'll be making better choices next time? Let me know in the comments and I'll see you in the next video.
