Each always not appreciative of what happened. They already told us they don't want you going back there ever again. >> I'm 40 years old and I can't >> I understand. So, then what happened? >> He makes me cry. I mean he makes me cry. And then I I just got upset. >> Sometimes people don't take difficult news well and what starts as a conversation quickly becomes a major issue. Some employees can't believe they've been fired and it turns into a bigger problem. This former employee's reaction to being fired shocked everyone. In our first case, officers responded to a Dodge dealership after a recently fired employee allegedly returned [music] to the business armed with a suppressed revolver while demanding his job back. According to police, the suspect came back again the following day. This time allegedly carrying even more weapons prompting a high-risk response from officers. >> You Mr. Humphreys? You Mr. Humphreys? Hey, is this Humphreys? Is this Dustin? >> I'm here. >> Oh. Sorry, buddy. >> I'm standing right here at the counter. That's very weird. >> Yeah, that's what I told him. >> Mr. Humphreys? >> Yes. >> Is this him? >> You know I got I'm going to >> You guys got a gun? >> No, sir. What's my >> Yeah, he got it. >> What's what is what's >> You Dustin Humphreys? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. What's this in your pocket? >> My keys. Keys. My grandfather is in there. >> Did you drop the keys on the counter? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> That's my grandfather. >> 220 >> I'm going to ring you up on channel 19. You really shouldn't >> We put everything in your hand on the counter. >> 39 all units show 39 10-39. >> I need I'll explain everything you in just one >> investigating >> Investigative Perry. >> Perry? >> Perry? >> Yes, sir. >> For who? >> The Bice County. >> Nope, we're not Bice County. >> We're not Bice County, we're Jackson. >> Jackson for what? >> All right, just come on. So, you're going to jail. That's what I want to let you know. Come this way. Where's your car? >> It's parked right there. >> Okay. Um, any weapons in your car? >> I had a 780. >> It's his car. It's his It's >> That's what I'm saying, but any weapons of yours? Because I have a description of a of a pistol. So, I'm going to go look in the car for it. >> Everything in the car is his. >> Everything in the car is his, cuz it's his car. Okay, cool. I got you. >> I was just defending myself. >> All right, you hear you were defending yourself? >> I talked to Bice County about this. >> Okay. >> Because of >> It's trafficking here. >> And they told me, said, "We know about these people." >> All right. >> I told them several times they put a gun at me, threatened my life. >> Okay. >> And they will try and >> Here? >> I told Bice County this. >> Right, but I'm asking you >> No, sir. I don't have job now. I don't like these people have been playing with me. >> After detaining the suspect, officers turned their attention to the employees, asking them to explain how the previous incident unfolded. >> Mr. Humphrey, where's your parking garage, buddy? >> It's parked outside. >> Outside, over here? >> Okay. >> Is the vehicle over here, too? Or is it on this side? >> All right, cool. >> So, I was here Saturday. >> Hey, he's currently We took a warrant out for him for simple assault and possession of firearm. So, he's going on that. >> I wasn't here Saturday, but they called me. They all said he had a taped handle on it. >> They taped handle pistol. >> Yeah. >> Did he make reference to it at all any today when he pulled up or >> I do not believe today. >> Okay. >> Uh, one gentleman talked to him and he kind of held him there for us was to him. >> Yeah. >> While we get you guys out here. >> Okay. Uh I see what you tell him about. >> Radio interference. >> Something beside the cane, but I can't make out what it is. It looks like it was taped on it. >> It should be a fire a pistol with a It should have a smiley face on the holster. >> Radio interference. >> But he's He's in ownership of it? >> Lease. >> Not ownership but a lease. >> I don't think he's going to give us consent to search. >> Okay. >> You never know, man. I was at >> While some officers continue checking the suspect's vehicle from the outside for any visible weapons, another officer advises him of his rights. >> Do you understand your rights as I explained them to you? Having these rights in mind, do you want to answer my questions now? >> I would not talk to >> No, to me. Are you going to talk to me now? Yes or no? >> Yes. >> Okay. I have one question and then I'll let you talk. Well, actually I probably have a couple. Um do you give me consent to search the vehicle? No? All right, so let me ask you a question. Uh Saturday when you came up here. What was said what happened? >> Up here? >> Yep. >> Yep. >> Nothing was said, nothing happened. You never had a firearm in your on your hip or in your waistband. You never brandish it to anybody. Never asked anybody if they wanted to fight. That's all I'm asking. >> No, I was talking to them. >> Okay. You didn't say do you want to fight, you never brandished a firearm. >> No, no, no. >> You never had a firearm inside your waistband in a holster and put your hand on it. >> No, I didn't have a firearm on me. >> No, no, I'm asking did you do you have a firearm or do you carry one? >> No. >> You don't. Well. >> Well, thanks for coming out and playing there, LT. >> Would have been a quicker one with the traffic. >> Good. Um I understand you have a Hyundai Kona. Is that correct? Well, your your grandson is um is about to go to jail for some charges here in the city. We have your your vehicle over here at the Dodge dealership. There's some possibly some evidence involved in a crime inside the vehicle and we were just going to see if you would give us consent to search for that evidence. Possible evidence within the within the car. You're we're good to go ahead and search for that for that evidence then. Okay. Yep. Yep. They gave consent. >> With consent from the suspect's grandparent who owns the [music] vehicle, officers proceed with the search and soon uncover something they clearly were not expecting. >> All right, well just just hang tight. So we're we're going to be conducting the search and we just prefer you being on the phone with us while we do it. But there was there was an incident where yep where there was some I guess more or less some some threats or perceived threats being made by Mr. Humphrey. So the the business just called us to say that he was back up here. What is that? Oh, it's a baton. >> Yeah, a baton. >> I'm going to get me some gloves. There's 22 bullets right here. Looks like pill containers. All the substances. Uh we found Um What it looks like, none of that's yours? >> No. >> Okay. All right. Oh, here it is. Yep, that's the holster. Actually, no, that's a holster. Wow. >> sure? >> Yep. Actually, that might be a suppressor. That's going to be a suppressor. >> Yep. >> Wow. >> That's That's separate, too. >> That's the charge. That's crazy. I've never seen anything like that. >> No. >> Yeah, it's got the tape It's got the tape handle. I don't see a smiley face unless you Oh, I know. Yeah, yeah. I took the report. That's it? Okay. I'm going to unload it and then he did. That's >> What is that? >> Yes. That is crazy. I've never seen anything like that. Yeah, that's uh No. No bueno. Uh that's green. >> Right. >> That's not apple. I don't know either. I'm not smelling that. >> What officers initially find inside the vehicle is only the beginning because the search quickly takes another unexpected [music] turn. >> Little >> No serial number? >> No serial number. >> Is it scratched off? It may be. It may be on the on the handle. >> Who makes it? >> Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. >> That's a suppressor. >> That is >> Uh-huh. Yep. It's a suppressor, too. >> You know what that is, right? >> Lay down on. >> Yep. >> This is >> Yeah. >> other guys, so I'm unsure how we clear this. Lieutenant, there's no mag in the well, but it takes Glock mags. >> I hung up on him. >> Well, just hit the What the heck is that? >> Pray he's all right. >> What is that? >> Yeah. >> Signal blocker? Signal jammer? >> Yes, sir. >> The ATF will probably want to take this over. So, I'm just going to let you know what we found. Like I said, we found all the illegal stuff. I'll tell you. >> Um we found a really nice .22 long rifle. >> Um >> Yeah. >> homemade suppressor on it. >> You picking up what >> I'm putting down? >> Yes, sir. >> All right. >> car. >> I uh Any idea what this is? >> Yes, sir. >> You think he's maybe a targeted individual? >> No, I don't. >> And he thinks this is blocking >> Yes, sir. I don't know anything. >> Possibly? >> Yeah, probably. >> Maybe a little little TI. >> Which is a homemade >> Oh. Oh, well. >> Great. >> In that case, I'm going to put it down. Thank you, Lieutenant. >> What is that? >> Uh we don't know. And LT said unless it's a homemade bomb, so I put it down. >> You. >> Sorry, buddy. >> You said that while I'm holding it. >> I should have walked away then. >> You're the hard one. >> I should have said, "Lieutenant, catch." >> Officers believe they've already uncovered enough evidence, but the search soon reveals even more. [music] >> He's got Assassin's Creed. Hey, here's a Molotov. Ah. >> what Okay, that's it. >> That's it. Yep, that's going That's another >> We were wondering if >> That's another charge. We got to take a picture. >> That's another charge. >> That was the wick missing next to it. >> Okay. >> I've never even seen >> I didn't see the wick. >> I think it's a green Jack Daniel's, so >> Well, that's what >> We saw that. I said, "Is that apple?" >> Here, take that, too. Can't transport this, sir. We're not allowed. >> What do you mean? >> It's in policy. We can't transport fuel in our vehicles. It is. >> You put it in policy. >> It's been in there. >> Open it up and sniff it. >> Nope. You want me to? >> We can't actually You're right. We can't store it. Like we're not going to store it that way, but >> Oh, yeah, that's gas. >> It's gas. >> Yep. >> We can pour that out, but just show take picture of make >> I did. >> Okay. We don't have >> It'd be like gas holding it. >> No, we're not we're not going to >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> With a with a wick like a Molotov type deal. Yeah. Yeah. >> I think uh kudos to you guys for being vigilant. >> Yeah. For Jacob for calling, honestly. Nothing in there. >> All right. >> Honestly. >> Yeah. >> So, I stopped I stopped by here this morning about 9:45 just to check to see if y'all heard anything. I was thinking, you know, after you know, like noon came and went, I was saying, "Well, maybe he's not going to show back up." >> The way he's dressed today, I would say that he's probably ran out out of the His tag on it. >> He's on his way in. Do you need more? >> Yeah. >> You can always tell the way he dresses. >> Yeah. >> Dressed a little nicer than >> Every knife, every everything. Yeah. Yep. That's a weapon. That can be a weapon. It's a bludgeon object. That's a bludgeon. All right, so what charges am I adding? >> With every new discovery, officers begin considering even more charges against the suspect. >> Don't know if it has serial numbers on it. So, possession of firearm comes to >> Well, are the serial numbers not there, or have they been scratched off? >> Don't know. So, I can't tell. That's separate? Do you think you could find out right now? No record on this one. 10-4. It just says Kel-Tec Cocoa, Florida Sub-2000. Nothing. Oh yeah, point it >> you. >> One or the other side or what? >> I'm I'd feel better if you pointed it toward me. Either way, I don't want to point it at either one of us. >> can lose a little weight. >> Okay. >> Um he's got a revolver with an 8-in suppressor on it. Um he's got a Kel-Tec PLR-16 with a suppressor on it. He made it all himself. >> I'll tell you what, you throw that cane up in my index finger. >> Brady, you're 220? >> Yeah, molotov. >> No more than No less than 10, no more than 20. Just for the molotov. >> Brady, you're 220? >> What? Yeah. >> Careful. >> No more than No less than 10 years in prison, no more than 20. Just for the molotov. >> Um >> I knew there was I knew it was a biggie. >> It's a big one. Yeah. >> They knew it like he did explosives or incendiary devices or none of that. >> Start again. >> Good looking out, fellas. Good job. Good Good team. Yeah. So, he was Are you the one that made the initial report? Okay. Yes. Yeah. We We were I was told about it this morning, so we were It was fresh on everybody's mind. So. >> Saturday and >> Yeah. >> Cuz I didn't have no My knife was sitting on the counter. I'm like, >> Brady, you're 220? >> I'm screwed right now. >> Yeah. >> He went looking for you, though. >> Employees tell officers they were caught completely off guard when the man showed up at the dealership again. >> One day I ain't told Who is He used to work >> Brady, you're 220? >> He used to work here. >> Careful. >> He was wearing a wig, going to his baby mama's and more like you. He moved to Oklahoma a month ago. >> Yeah. >> I don't know. The other day he was He was wearing a wig. I'm like, No, he wasn't. >> Yeah, I think well, I think he's had some help. Good. You know, as in >> I 70 not having a pending domestic at 91 >> Happy Monday. He was just up here on Saturday. Brandish you know, he pulled up his shirt. >> Brandish weapons? >> Showing his gun. To get his job back. >> Yeah. >> Oh, yeah. >> So, about that. Is he y'all going to >> I mean Can he start tomorrow? I'll take it under consideration. >> Okay. >> Yeah. We'll talk to him. They're going to let him start tomorrow. >> Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That would be the smartest choice, you know. >> I don't want to leave He'll show people his weapon be like, "Hey, you want to get this car?" We had a great element of surprise. >> Mark's free vehicle comes to you. >> Uh So, what I need to know cuz I when I came up earlier I found out that Tallis was on a yet another vacation. Does he ever work? >> I think he Every now and then. >> Okay. >> Like he takes a vacation what? Four time four weeks out of the month? >> He's gone. Tallis actually just left. >> Did he really? Like left left? Are you serious? Well, that was awkward cuz I okay man here bashing and I was like, "Where's Tallis at?" "Oh, he's not here." I said, "What a load of it." Oh, okay. I've heard rumors. >> They they they haven't told anybody yet, but he is on vacation. That is true. >> Okay. >> Um just when he comes back from vacation he's >> I Okay. Well Well, I just made it really awkward in there. >> 15 years, man. 15 years. >> Oh, yeah. >> I guess he's put his time in. >> Yeah. >> We got a whole another box of ammo. >> That That's mine. >> Are these cigarettes? >> Yeah, for you know the people. They're not mine. I mean, like I don't smoke, but >> Officers came across another bag during the search, and what's inside only raises more concern. >> I'm a I'm a nice guy and I'll Oh, there it is. >> Hey. >> There's the other one. Extendo. >> Where was it? >> 40 round drop mag. >> In a side pocket that we had it laying on. >> Earpiece. >> Mask. >> Mask, yep. >> Cigarettes right there? >> Cigarettes? >> Oh, are those cigarettes? >> Oh, they're They're for the, you know, I don't smoke, but they're for the >> For the smokers? >> That works. >> It works. >> Hey man, can >> It does. Yeah. >> I used to carry a pack, too. >> Those are Benson & Hedges. Those are expensive. Good looking sandwich you have there, sir. >> Oh, dude, that thing's old. >> Oh, is it? Gross. >> Why is it still in there? >> Nice sandwich. >> He is charged by the assistant district attorney. >> The attorney will charge every single >> Every single thing, yeah. >> It's 5 years per plan. >> So, he's probably looking at what, life? >> 30 years. >> He could, yeah. >> It's It's 10 years just for the Molotov. >> Oh, well, life is 35, right? >> 25. >> It's 25. >> The feds do it in months. >> Well, I would I gave up hope that he would show up. >> That was good, dude. Thank you for the help. >> Yeah, man. It's pretty swaffed. >> Argus. >> Argus. >> Argus. >> Ares. >> Yeah, shut up. >> That's not his name. >> 724 radio attention. >> That's not his name. >> His adopted name is Argus. >> His name is Argus. >> Ares is just That's all. Yes, it's dumb. >> god? >> Yeah, all Greek gods are garbage. Don't ever name a dog after a Greek god. >> Okay. >> Or Roman, or >> Any mythological >> Yeah. >> Hey Zeus, baby. That's not mythology, baby. Come on now. >> Yeah, I don't really know if I want a dog named Jesus. >> No, I wouldn't either, man. >> Sick him, Jesus. That just doesn't sound right. >> No, it's kind of a >> Save him, Jesus. >> Be his savior. >> You don't know Lieutenant very well, do you? There's nothing not fancy about him. >> 711 radio. >> He's always fancy 95. >> That ain't nothing. >> That's why I was voted in best dressed. >> That's true. >> So, I'm matching Yeah, I'm matching everything. >> matching. >> After completing the search, officers returned to questioning the suspect about the evidence they uncovered. >> County >> 1095. >> All right, I'm going to ask you one question, okay? Before Before I put you in this car. What was your intentions of coming here With those weapons? >> Oh, those That was my grandfather's weapons. I guess that I That's >> Okay, he said they're not his. >> What they're registered >> nothing in the car to him. It's not registered to him. I already ran both serial numbers. >> What What are you talking about? He He bought it. He bought it at a pawn shop. Oh, not registered to him, sir. There's no way cuz I think he bought some weapons. >> I'm All I'm saying I'm just asking what were your intentions of coming here today? >> Nothing. I was >> You got the weapons. You got homemade suppressors. You got a lay-down mat. You got camouflage. >> No, that that's my grandfather's stuff. I slept in the car cuz he threw me out. Look, I told him I'd be a good job. My job back. You know >> Okay. >> I did I genuinely did. I really did, Joe. I was happy here, man. >> What about the >> That was some car. I I don't want that on me, but that phone has evidence, like I said. >> I got you. >> In the end, the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Dustin Humphreys, was charged with multiple felony offenses, [music] including illegal possession of a firearm and possession of an explosive device. Even police couldn't believe what this employee did to his boss. On January 13th, 2024, officers responded to a grocery store [music] after reports that an employee had allegedly attacked their manager. Here's what the manager told police upon arrival. >> Uh Deputy Carver, how can I help you? >> Um Daniel, night manager. >> Uh >> I have the information of my employee that was responsible for this. >> Okay. >> Um >> Do you want an ambulance? >> No. Um alcohol should be fine, I'm hoping. I'm going to apply that when I get home. So >> Okay. >> Um mostly just we're hoping to press charges. I got the >> So, what happened? >> information. >> So >> Um he's normally got a little bit of a mental issue, like aside from that, I don't know much about his medical history. He needs to get a good evaluation. >> Okay. >> But aside from that, um we were just doing a buggy run. Um and there was a little bit of garbage inside the cart. And all I tried to tell him was, "Hey, garbage is in here. We just need to make sure we get that out before we come all the way in." >> Mhm. >> Um he started getting confused, like he sometimes and he was trying to take all the garbage from like everywhere else where I was like you need to calm down, everything's fine. I'm not trying to get you to do anything else. All I was trying to clear up is that like when we're doing this, this needs to happen. Uh, he starts getting more riled up and then more confused. So, I tried to take a step back and be like, "Look, calm down. Just we'll take things easy." Um, and then he starts getting almost like paranoid cuz he's he's had issues with like trying to get extra hours but like there's his issues there like having an issue. Um, so he starts blaming me. He's like, "Oh, so you talked to our manager and you told him this." I was like, "Look, man, I didn't say anything to anyone about anything like that. That's and even like you can you can believe whatever you want. It's neither here nor there. I just need you you know, calm, take a step. We'll we'll sort this out. I'm not trying to get you to do much right now. Everything's fine. Um, so he's still he's getting more riled up, more confused, starts getting belligerent. And I'm like, "Look, it'll be just safer and easier for everybody right now. Uh, it's it's you going home. I'd rather just go home early today. It's closer to close like I wasn't paying him too bad." He starts getting uh, more in my face like trying to use his size to intimidate me and I'm just trying to do my job. And I'm like, "Look, you're not about to intimidate me to like stay here like you need to go home. You need to calm down." >> Police [music] now dig deeper into the incident as they ask what happened before the confrontation escalated. >> He's he's like nose to nose, real loud, he's getting loud and I'm trying to keep my calm. So, I try to take a step back even though I'm like my volume increases cuz I'm getting frustrated. >> Where's this all taking place at? >> Like right here. He starts getting louder. I tell him that he really needs to go home before something happens to like either one of us cuz he's he's getting like that upset. >> Mhm. >> Um, first he threatens that he's going to man. Um, and I try to make more space make that a non-on issue and I tell him that he needs to clock out. He needs to go home. It's no longer like we're having issues like we're this is a problem now. Like he needs to go. He gets violently belligerent and uh from there I don't exactly cuz there's a hand on my throat. Um I was closer to the freezers. Um one of my employees, AJ and Christie here were quick to get there. So all I know is uh um between the little bit of wrestling, the little bit of military training, and the me trying to keep my calm, I didn't want to didn't want to aggress him especially in in a professional situation against like somebody who's somebody that I should be looking after >> Right. >> not the other way. Uh well, I refrained from using any sort of aggression against him despite being choked. They managed to separate him. I made even more space between them to make his aggression against me a non-issue and my employee managed to escort him to the car and get him to leave. >> And I was hoping you guys could help me out. >> Sure. Did your cameras pick it up? >> Uh I don't know. I hope so. >> there can we check cuz I'd like to kind of see that. >> Do me a favor, just give me two witness statements so I can have a You're in the spray. Did you see everything that happened? Would you be willing to fill out a witness statement for me? >> Oh yeah. >> Okay. Do you want to fill out a witness statement for me? >> I knew you were going >> I'd like to have it. Yeah, I better. I'd feel bad if I don't. >> After collecting witness statements, officers returned to the manager for more details about how far the suspect allegedly went during the incident. >> Thank you. >> And you said he had his hand on your throat. Did you ever lose the ability to breathe? >> For a split second cuz he had like he He to go for my windpipe. >> Tried to Almost like if a dog bites you, try >> to like un-lessen the pressure by like getting his like grip >> farther away from my windpipe. >> Right. >> More like there. I think that's how he scratched me. >> And I know Mr. John was already kind of looking for a reason to get rid of him, but I don't think this was exactly what he had in mind. >> What do you need? Not yet. I got to go find him. I don't know. I guess. If I can find him, I'm going to arrest him. If I can't find him, he's going to get a warrant and he will eventually get arrested. If he comes back up here, do you want him trespassed? >> Um I'm not exactly sure what that means. >> Well, that means if he comes back up here after warning, he can go to jail for that, too. >> Um but I'll see how all of this pans first. That is a thing that's possible. >> That's fine. What I'm kind of what I'm getting at though is if he comes back up here, >> trespassed him. >> don't necessarily tell him, but you if we haven't arrested him, you need to call us so we can come arrest him. >> Um it probably would be prudent. I I'll be off for the next 2 days, so if he if Mr. John hasn't gotten everything through on his end, then it would be easier to get him trespassed. >> I got you. I really need that video. So, if I can, I will arrest him. If not, I'll have to do a warrant. So, did Daniel do anything to provoke this incident? >> No, he didn't even >> Did close distance, didn't try to get up in his face. >> no. >> I got you. Just got to ask. Ma'am, can I ask you a few questions? Okay. Did you see anything that would have possibly [music] been Daniel initiating this? >> No. >> Okay. Everything you told me in the statement and everything you told me now, raise your right hand. Do you swear and affirm everything you told me is the truth, whole truth, and nothing [music] but the truth? >> The whole truth and nothing but the truth. >> With the suspect no longer in sight of the store, officers head to his residence to continue the investigation. >> Any ideas? >> I think he usually walks. >> Walks? >> Okay. All right. Thank you. Yeah, it's amazing what happens when you go to the right address. Sheriff's office. Sheriff's office. Please come out. Almost almost off the air. Steven. >> Yeah. >> Hey man, I'm Deputy Carver with Sheriff's Office. What happened tonight down at Food Giant? >> I mean the guy had a choice. >> Well, what what happened? >> He he said there was a garbage a a box. >> Uh-huh. >> cart carton from the just the left in the garbage can. >> Okay. >> He didn't like the way he was talking to him. Well, I didn't like the way he was talking and he talked to me. >> He was walking away. >> Okay. >> And he said uh he was just doing doing shaking his head laughing and said uh Then you know you know he I couldn't hear him. >> Okay. >> when he was talking. >> Can you take Can you take your hand out of your pocket for me? Thank you. I appreciate it. >> Um I don't I couldn't hear him. >> Okay. >> I have that meter. >> Okay. >> When I when I was saying to him, I said what? I kept saying what to him. I couldn't hear him. >> Okay. >> And he got mad. He got mad. I guess I would have got mad, too. So, he turned around and yelled at me. Said just go home. >> As soon as the suspect begins explaining his side, officers realize his version of events does not exactly match the manager's story at all. >> I know. I'm not going to go home. >> All right. And what what's wrong? >> Cuz I was looking for the bag for the garbage bag. The garbage can was >> Okay. >> outside and the garbage was was coming out of that. >> Right. >> So I thought you wanted me to empty that garbage can. So I said, "Is this the bag you use for that can?" And he And he just shook his head. Look got mad at me. And made me feel like real >> Okay. >> Cuz I'm the oldest guy. I'm the oldest man in that place. >> Right. >> Older than all the managers. And he's a kid. >> I got you. >> He's a child. >> So then what happened? >> I'm I'm 40 years older than than the kid. >> I understand. So then what happened? >> And he making me cry. I mean makes me cry there. And then they they just got upset. He just kept Then he said something and he walked away. >> Okay. >> I said, "What did you say? I can't hear you." He got in my face and we got I got That's what We got mad. I got pissed off. >> Okay. >> And I grabbed >> You grabbed him? >> I grabbed his neck. >> Okay. Steven, you can't do that. You know that, right? >> I >> All right. Well >> I've got I've been calling the store. No one's answering. >> Yeah, they're closing down. >> Yeah, I've been calling since I left there. >> Steven, I need you to put your hands on your back for me, okay? You're kind of a bigger guy, so I'm going to give you two sets, okay? >> Please. >> All right. Steven, I'm going to have you sit right here until he gets you some shoes. That way you don't walk through the mud, okay? >> Sit right there by the front door. >> Yeah. Is it okay if I come in? >> Yes, sure is. You shut the TV for me? >> I did. No. >> I did. >> Despite the allegations against him, the suspect [music] appears willing to cooperate with the police. >> You were locked in the front door. It's locked, all right? >> Yeah. What about the cold? I'll do it now. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> You're going to Listen, you're going to go in my car and it's warm. right. And then you're going to go in our precinct and it's warm. All right, so >> And my wallet? >> And your wallet and your phone. All right, watch your step here for me, okay? >> Yeah. >> Okay. With those rights in mind, is there something you want to tell me? >> Yeah, just you'd probably want to know the first thing he said was uh I can I'll I'll punish you if you do anything to me. >> Okay. >> By the end of the investigation, officers charged the man with battery and released him pending his court appearance. Where are you coming from today? >> Chipotle. >> Okay. >> Nothing in this car that we should be aware about? >> No, ma'am. >> So, I'm going to be completely straight with you. >> Yes, sir. >> We got multiple calls about you pointing fake guns at people. What's the deal with that? >> That's a lie. >> There's multiple calls, dude. That's not a lie. All right. So, I want to hear you out at least, right? So, it's your chance to give me your side of the story. >> Uh it's road rage and I honked and then I drove off. >> Okay. Then, what about Chipotle? What did they do at Chipotle? >> I got something there. >> He was disrespectful to me, so it's my extra energy as well, sir. >> Okay. Just go ahead and step out of the car for me. Put your bag on the on the seat next to you. >> This one here? >> Yeah, leave the bag over there. >> Yes, sir. >> And just step on out. >> Yes, sir. You want the keys to the apartment? >> That's fine. Just step out. And then just step to the back of your car over there. >> Yes, sir. >> Over there. >> Yes, sir. >> Towards your car. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> So, you you can look at me. >> Yes, sir. >> So, what's the deal? Cuz there's camera footage. >> Yep. >> Really? >> Officers now begin questioning him about another incident that was reportedly linked to him earlier. >> Okay. Then what about the road rage? How did that happen? >> Lady honked at me, and I honked at her back. >> Okay. And then did you do anything to her like a gun finger or anything like that? >> Just nodded, stared her down. >> Okay. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. That It's interesting that you got two complaints in like less than an hour for the same exact thing, right? >> Very ironic, yeah. >> What? >> It's very ironic. >> Very ironic. >> Yes. >> Okay. How so? >> Within an hour, it's crazy. >> Yeah. Two random strangers, too. Okay. >> Yes, sir. >> Um what's a good >> Sorry, how do you spell your last name? >> So, what brings you to town? >> Just traveling through. >> Just driving through? >> Yes, sir. >> So, we were told that you picked up an Uber Eats order. You can check me, nothing. Grab some lunch, hold on. >> So here's the problem, like obviously Chipotle is not appreciative of what happened. >> Okay. >> Um they already told us they don't want you going back there ever again. >> File me for trespassing, right? I won't go back to Chipotle. >> What's next? >> Um so we're going to document everything, obviously. >> Okay. >> But we're we're still trying to figure out why you're doing this, right? >> Okay. >> Flashing you know, make believe or not, flashing a >> Everyone does that when they're getting angry, right? >> No, they don't. >> I have a little grocery. >> No. >> Yeah. >> But in Illinois, I don't know about Texas, but in Illinois, you can be charged for that. >> Really? >> Yeah. >> What's it all about? Then you lash out. We're not trying to make this more difficult for you, Daniel. No, okay. Daniel Oh, you go by Daniel? >> I go by Daniel. >> Yeah, so Daniel is also female, okay. And the Daniel That's I know. Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm not trying to make it more difficult for you, okay? But there is a pattern. And obviously somebody was alerted and and disturbed enough to call us. Not one person did that, okay? So, my concern is that there might be a gun at this school. And if you are legally allowed to own that gun, that's fine. We have no business trying We're not trying to take a gun. But if you said so yourself, that's her fight. Her fight, okay? You're getting you you get worked up, right? And you lash out. The last thing that I would want to see happen is you get so worked up, you do something that you can't take back, right? That's all I'm asking. That's all I'm asking. You play your part to make sure that there's not another gun in there. That's what's going to happen. And if there is, you've been cooperative. Those people we can work with that. We know that. I'm not talking to I'm talking to other people. These guys? I've been working with them for years. No, but I've been working with them for years. No, I know that. We're all on the same page here. >> You're on the same page as me and everybody else. I just said she's the one who called. I'm not talking to you. I'm speaking to her. >> Okay. I mean it. Listen. I've been in previous situations where there's a very possible threat. One's ready to fire, one's ready to come on the side. >> We're not playing good cop, we're not playing bad cop. >> I've been in previous situations. >> I understand. And I get the hesitation. I get you. >> I've seen I've seen videos of what happens. >> I do. Okay. >> Same description as the smell of marijuana. Ready to pull the trigger, nice guy in the middle of it, ready to pull the trigger any minute. >> Yeah, it's not my trigger. Okay. >> When I say this, I genuinely do not want to have anything happen to where you get so worked up that right now right now. It's going to be a bad day. for both of you. Yeah, I'm a manager. Okay? So, we have complaints right here. If somebody is going to file a complaint, we can go the route of We can go the route of both of you getting a Okay? And depending on what person says when It will quickly depending on the way that you are the way that you are reacting to this, okay? I'm going to dictate the direction that this goes. Try and step up to me again like that, okay? And it's not going to >> The encounter ultimately concluded with the suspect receiving a citation before being released. Um >> What type of bills that are going to your child support? >> I got the main thing >> That's the main one that gets deducted out of my check aside from whatever bonus I get.
