these people thought they were making easy money but they only got an easy trip to jail here are five instances when dumb thieves get caught red-handed number five when you're brave enough to steal but not to face the consequences on June 1st 2023 officers were dispatched to a Walmart after asset protection caught two individuals concealing merchandise and attempting to leave without paying when officers arrived the suspects were already being held in the store security room hello what do you got this says 05 sorry so it's 4055 um this one is the one on the left and the other one is on the right okay um you want St charge as I take it all right so girls you have the right to remain silent anything you say can be as the core law you have the right to turny if you can't afford one M ride for a free C do you understand your right and what that means um so what happened if you wish to tell me you don't have to please didn't have money I have my did you hide it on you or okay same thing for you yeah I'm hanging out with her and everything okay are you got you both both homeless or Che you from the area from where okay what brings you up here same thing I'm here with fam I live here oh you live here yeah me and know so what exactly happened okay I started following them I seen her with they clothing they selected they went then they went into the bathroom the short she has on I believe there might be other stuff there but there this one has my bathing suit and underneath the clothes yeah so they have our stuff underneath okay all right how you want to do that okay I think pants Oh I have a pair of shorts under underne okay so the under shorts or the outer ones the under the black as soon as the handcuffs come out one of the suspects turns on the Waterworks or at least she tries to put your hands going like this second for so like I said right now you guys are under ARR for theft okay do you um you guys have Bond money at all that you could get out I have no money I have $25 you have someone that can bring you B Money how much is it 300 put your hands together can I call T you could call I don't think's parents would have it right now if I telling my family I don't have any of those my I'm going to ask you to wait to use your phone but once we get in my car I'll give them back to you and you can use them um if you can't find out then you'll have you'll have to stay in jail overnight and you'll go to court forrow morning okay do you have IDs on you no mine's at home expired okay yeah have you been through this yet yeah all right thank you you you no personal information one suspect expresses regret but the crime has already been committed and consequences are unavoidable is to have the bond money bu no it's just the sooner you get it the sooner you get out can as possible I what happens after the um then they'll let you out and you'll just have a court dat um what's your social security number yeah I do not okay how old are you 19 so does this go on our record if you get convicted it could yeah but right now you're just being charge with it you're not convicted until it's all through the court system and everything like that so what it's like that mean like like so if I'm like honestly told the judge that I did have theod my pocket and the shorts on not convicted then it would be up to him um the victim which is Walmart what they want to do um the prosecutor what they want to do so it it's going to be a few months through the court system before you know depends on if you get a lawyer if you don't what you decide to ple all right what's a phone number for you to like call somebody to call you oh no I just looked it up and it it's not the end of your career I've seen believe me I've seen fire departments don't like that they don't like it but you made a mistake and how do you say your first name and your birthday and um just homeless for your address right now do you have a phone number despite their young age and attempts to appear remorseful the teenage suspects received no sympathy from the store's asset protection come up and what's your and apply to the APA and make sure that it goes through I I don't want or anything so just name in do find it they have no idea the female officer now prepares both suspects for transport to the station but not before giving them a final reminder okay so we're about to caught stealing at a thrift store and makes it worse this time in Marshfield Wisconsin officers were dispatched to a local Goodwill after staff reported a woman acting suspiciously trying on clothes and tearing off tags upon arrival an employee quickly directed The Authorities to the suspect's location she's in the dressing rooms right now kind of slamming things around and she's layering up and it seems like she might be on something okay um um but definitely has come up with our stuff on tags ripped off and kind of lurking but we've been up front so she hasn't left left D out yet so hey their decision too late on January 27th 2023 officers were called to a Sephora where the stores lost prevention caught two females concealing merchandise and attempting to steal watch what happens situation they um the two girls loaded um well one there one of the girls I think with the brown not the one wearing black the one with the brown had a basket okay um and a and a purse M so they each selected and they place the items into the basket they towards fragrance they looked around at the testers then they walked towards the front door and in that little cubby hole they um they each they well the girl with the ground she selected the items out the one with the shoulder hair yeah okay she selected items out of out of the the Sephora basket and placed them into her into her purse while the girl the subject in the black stood next to her kind of shielding okay um and um then she just I'm not sure why she just walked out the basket but the inside the basket there was like 10 roller balls once you walked out with it m uh I didn't approach both of them outside one went left one went right my supervisor came out and I advised my supervisor to follow the one in the the L yeah cuz I I followed the merchandise as she's walking back the one that went right is the one in the brown to sum it up the two women attempted to shoplift by hiding merchandise in a purse but once they noticed store employees watching and following them they tried to cover up the their attempt to steal leaving their baskets behind to seem innocent what they didn't know is that the store has HD surveillance cameras install I'm sorry when they okay sorry when they both walked out they both went left then when I approached the one in the Brown went she turned around look right and as she's passing the Sephora she drops the basket right in front of the door and she say she drops the basket in front of she dropped the she drops the basket in front of the door and says um oh oh I'm I I I left it it's there it's there you know whatever I'm like you still got to come back to we walked out to the store with the merchandise and she kind of stood there for a second like it's deciding whether she should come back or not and then subsequently she she ended up they both came back to the office okay now at any point did you see what happened to the items that were in the basket carried by the one with the long blonde hair did you said the other was taking items out of her out of her basket putting it into her bag correct did you have seen a concealment on the behalf of the other person or she or she was only acting as the shield acting as a sh okay so so the items that she previously selected what happen to those items those items were I guess assuming they were in the basket okay yeah the the items that she selected got got concealed okay by the subject in the BR okay um Al I guess she put some in the in in her purse and in the basket as well okay um but like I said they both act in concert I saw them both selecting they never left each other's side at the same time okay oh yeah okay so but just cuz I'm trying to figure in the video it appeared to me they each had a basket at one wrong our final case takes us to Nassau Florida where a car was stolen from a restaurant parking lot upon arrival officers wasted no time speaking with a car owner who had been dining nearby with her family her vehicle information added already so we're trying to get a hold of OnStar to see if they'll ping it for us so she's going to pull up video and see if I I'm going to look at this say at 128 the car was still here but within seconds of that it left all right let me see if I recognize her that might help she's out front I'm just trying to figure out what time she went outside so I can catch around another camera in here so she how long was she in here um she's been in here for prob some time tonight did y'all happen to see like was there a guy with her tonight no it was just her and she was sitting out on the bench and my husband gave her a cigarette and they walked around the car and whatever whatever I watched them from inside and when he came inside I said who is that behind him and he said some girl sitting on the MCH she was just talking about how nice the car was I showed her the car blah blah blah and I'm like oh okay and he had his key in his pocket well my key is in the car because if if he has his key he can lock the car but if you go up and touch the car it's because my key is in there but my whole purse is in there and I had 60 Grand in my purse in cash we own a construction business and I just got paid a lot of money oh my God yeah so I said please tell me you lock the car he said I did long story short we were leaving and I walked out my car was literally parked right out in front of that door and I walked out and I said where the is my car and he goes it's right there and I said qu playing no it's not and it's gone so is my purse so is 60 Grand so is everything using OnStar Services officers pinpoint the vehicle's location hours later and immediately relay the information to the owner we got your car thank God is it Dam no they they just got her arrested so it's going to be a minute huh what did she say they just getting her stopped and getting arrested I'm just letting her know so she can relax a little bit where at on the island where on theise Jesus not that I know of it's not are they going to count her money so we know that it's there there's a just know nothing yet okay you don't know nothing he just the messenger now here's the moment officers located the suspect and pursued the stolen vehicle [Music] open the door open the door sorry sorry sorry sorry sir you hey hold on sorry sir I just thought the BR Clin search the vehicle and moments later the car owner arrives on the scene Unfortunately they have bad news to share with her 60,000 was it in the main part of the purse um so not the main big pocket of the purse but there's two zippers on the front of the purse it was in the front zipper the customer just came and gave me that money today okay cuz all there all that's in there is like 150 bucks so we have an idea where she went okay we're holding that house right now and probably going to get a search warrant for it but she's they've had plenty of time to do whatever but we have her behind the wheel we have all of those things so um but this is your your car right it's mine and my husband's okay all right um just give us a few minutes to finish up with this um verify a few things at that house and then we'll we'll go from there did you find her sweet do you know your social yeah um it's like um in now yeah you've never been arrested got the key wife has a key in her purse that was in the floorboard and I got out we got out walked off I forgot to lock the car when we walked off she went back opened the door hit the button cranked it up and left with my car I did not give her permission I do not want in car def car all right we got her she's no we we're right past that to be where we're at right now now back to the suspect an officer attempts to question her and conduct a field sobriety test but her responses make it clear she has no intention of cooperating I going to sh out yes please can I C my shoes uh you're going to stand right here keep I don't want the dog to be barking in your shut the door all right so I'm deie Jackson Nas County Sheriff's Office all right obviously I'm going to be conducting a DI investigation based on some of my observations here uh and then obviously your driving actions okay at this point you are under arrest for fleeing and looting but I also suspect you to be under influence or another chemical okay I'm sorry or alcohol so I'll be conducting a DUI investigation uh before we do any of that I do have to read your rights okay said you are not under you are not free to leave so you understand each of these rights as I explain them to you yeah heard having those rights in mind do you wish to speak to me um not about anything you just ask about no no so you want to invoke your right to remain silent uh no not at all no you don't want to talk to me or no yeah like no I want to talk okay cool um when we get down to the jail would you be willing to perform the field sobriety exercises um sure I guess sure so by that I mean doing no you don't want to do them she just pressing charge or something no yeah no no you don't want to perform the fields of body exercises okay so you're aware that if you don't perform the fields of body exercises that can be used against you in court at a later date correct okay you're aware of that and you still don't want to perform them um I mean sorry it's a no I I don't know no I don't know why they would inform it inform it so no no sorry no I'm asking you do you want to perform the field sobriety exercises you know to walk the line the you don't want to do any of that and again you're aware if you don't do that that can be used against you in court at a later date okay so you don't want to do it no okay at this point you're under arrest for DUI cleaning and looting uh Grand Theft and Grand Theft Auto or Grand Theft motor vehicle for the the that's fine I just asked you that the suspect was charged with Grand Theft Auto resisting without violence bleeing and alluding and motor vehicle theft she later spent only 2 months and 2 days in jail and was placed on probation for 1 year and 6 months that's a wrap for today's video leave your thoughts in the
