Some people rent, some people buy, and then there are those who simply move in and hope no one notices. Here are five cases when dumb squatters get caught in homes. Number five, woman insisted she's paying rent, but the cops knew better. Coming up in our first case out of Ohio, officers are sent to a residence after a realy company reported that someone may be living on one of their vacant properties without permission. Upon arrival, they're greeted by the realtor on site who's already in the process of checking the house and is ready to explain what prompted the call to the police. Supposed to be working on this house here. And um I approach there's some lady walking around with a shopping cart full of stuff in the driveway asking me what I'm doing here. And I poked my head in the back door where the lock box is supposed to be and the windows broken out and fresh food on the counter. And um did you actually see someone in the house? Yeah. The lady comes up to me and says, "What are you doing?" Like, uh, supposed to be working here. Like, 791, right? She's like, "No, but clearly it is." And all my pictures point to this place. >> So, the lady was holding something in her hand. I didn't want to >> Yeah. >> really pressure it too much. I don't know if it was mates or something. Something black and not the size of one of those cans. Okay. >> Yeah. This was the window. climbing in. >> I don't know about me, but yeah, they could bust that out. Hacker police. Yeah, hacker police. >> Why are you here? >> Why are you here? >> I don't know about that. >> Go away. >> What did I say? >> She said, "Go away." >> You're not going to make us come in and arrest you, are you? She got you there. >> Oh, we're not going away. >> My best guess is she probably >> So, this is kind of all mentally ill people that live right here across the street. >> So, I'm guessing >> who owns it? >> Who? name Lewis owns this, but it's randed by Remax, which is why I asked her. This was the woman that was here prior. I don't know if you guys recognize her. She was very curious on what I was doing here, saying she had friends here or something. >> Despite the realtor's efforts to keep the building locked and free from intruders, a squatter has found their way in, and she isn't ready to admit that she doesn't belong there. >> Do you work for Remax? >> Yeah. Do you guys have a key or >> There's supposed to be a lock box on the door, but >> poor tools to get this board off. >> I mean, yeah, us going in the small window isn't going to work then. >> Do you want me to go in and open the front door? >> Yeah, you want Yeah, if you want to open the front door for us, that'll be fine. >> Oh, boy. >> I mean, just unlock it. That's all. I mean, whatever we got, you know. >> Okay. >> Well, I mean, we weren't going to have you go through that way. I I thought you >> there's there should be a lock box on the front door. >> I don't know why this is here, but >> I'd have to go in to open that front door for you guys to get in. This my only way in. >> Are you going to come out here? >> No way. This is my house. I paid rent here. >> And who are you paying rent to? >> Well, that's not who owns the house. >> That is who owns the house. >> My these cars here. >> Well, you just got to leave the house. >> Ma'am, if I go in this window, you're going to go to jail. >> You're about to go back unless you leave this house. >> This is my house. >> No, it's not. >> Oh, so it's not this guy anymore. Rick Patrick, >> he's doing it. Yeah, he was he was sold or whatever. I don't know. >> I'm trying to remember when I uh it was probably earlier. It was >> Thank you. >> He owned it. I know he was trying to sell it. >> And that was probably in the fall sometime. >> Are you wanting to sign trespass charges? Like you'll go down and do that? >> Yeah, that's fine. >> Shouldn't be here. I'm assuming the minute that either you guys leave or I leave, it's going to be the same thing again. Last chance, ma'am. >> This is the last chance she'll get to walk out willingly. The complainant has already agreed to press charges, and the officers won't hesitate to remove her themselves. >> Yeah, this one sold >> There's no lock box. There's no way for you to get in. You can't take this off. >> I don't know any way to do that. This sold in November last year, so >> And you were the manager currently? >> Yeah. Well, the company work for you. I just called to double check and verify this is the correct address and they sent me a >> lock for the whole file. >> I just want to call for a dog. >> No, we're good. I'm getting in. I just don't feel like it. >> Yeah, >> you're skinnier than I am. >> I'll let you in around for it. Ma'am, where you at? >> Oh, this is so silly, ma'am. >> Go away. >> Oh, this thing's freaking >> screwed shut. Yeah, you I don't >> What's that? Yeah, there are >> I don't know how we're going to get her out. >> You got any tools? >> I don't unlock that. It's locked right now. With the door securely locked and no damage to suggest a break-in, the officer gives the woman another direct order to leave. But in her mind, she's entitled to remain inside. >> I was in my phone. What do you want? >> What's your name, ma'am? Say, >> why? Why are you in here when you shouldn't be in here? >> This is my house. >> It's not your house, ma'am. >> It is my house. I pay rent here. >> What would you want? >> How much rent do you pay? >> 250. >> Man, this is going to be a silly thing to go to jail over. >> What you mean to go to jail? I >> The owner The owner of this house is here and they're going to sign trespass charges on you. We've given you what >> for being in a house that you don't belong in. >> This is my house. That thing's in there tight. >> Yeah. I don't like >> Yeah, but they're not hooked into anything down here. >> Well, it looks like they're kind going in at an angle into that frame. >> Yeah, that must be it. I don't know what See what he wants us to do because we can't get her out of here. Like you can go in that window too, but then what are we going to do? >> Yeah, we still have a problem getting her out. >> I'm sorry. Yeah, that >> the pictures they sent me was didn't need any tools, so I just had quit myself to bring that little out of there. >> Unless you sweet talker to get out on her own. >> I think they're going to need to come remove that board. >> What's that? >> They're going to have to unboard it up. >> Yeah. 23 the 12 drink. [Applause] >> I mean any amount of this we we we can't throw her out of this window to arrest her I would think. With a door locked and no key in sight, the officers are left weighing two choices. She leaves through the window on her own or they remove her themselves. >> He's out of here. I mean, I don't know what what you want us to exactly do. I mean, do you want to force this issue or I mean, is that what you want? >> Yeah. >> I mean, you guys, like I said, you guys need to get tools to either unricade this door or unricade that one. cannot arrest her and toss her out this window, >> you know? >> I mean, if you guys can do that now, then that's not a problem. But we have no problem arresting her. But yeah, that's not going to look good if we're throwing her out this freaking window. >> Sorry, >> ma'am. Is this really worth going to jail for? >> I'm not going. >> You're going to go to jail. >> Pay rent. >> You don't You don't live here. You broke in. You're going to get charged with criminal trespass and go to jail. If you leave now, you still won't go to jail. >> Break in. I just told you to >> I'm telling I'm telling you what's going to happen. >> I told you to troll. >> I don't believe you. I'm telling you what's going to happen. >> I told you to troll. >> I heard you. >> I told you to troll. >> So, I'm thinking if I can get this whole thing out, maybe we can do it through here. Still going to have to toss her. >> Yeah. I mean, >> at least it's not trying to go through that little window. >> Yeah. blah blah. Can you please tell them to get out of our house, please? >> I think it's just her. >> It's just one >> cuz everybody went to work. >> She's been in here a while. >> No, I have not. I just came back from school. >> How'd you get in? >> The front door. I got a key. >> The door didn't open. >> She's pretty much set up >> cuz I locked it. >> Duh. >> Get out. I'm waiting till my mom and my dad come back. >> He's upstairs right now sleeping in his bed. >> Somebody's upstairs. >> Yes. >> Can you please y'all? Please. I'm actually nice. >> I'm I'm not leaving. >> Why? >> You're going to leave. I'm I'm going to leave with you. >> By now, the officers can see she's determined to stay put, but the standoff is over. >> I'm not going to leave cuz I'm waiting for my mom and my dad to come back for work. >> The angel's upstairs asleep. All right. Come on, ma'am. >> No. >> Yes, ma'am. >> I'm not leaving out my house. >> I'm not leaving out my house. >> You are? You are? >> No, I'm not. >> Okay. >> Go away. Do not touch me. >> Ma'am, don't touch me. Do not leave. Do not get >> Do not touch me. Do not touch me. Do not touch me. >> Listen, we don't want to fight with you. We don't want >> This is my house. >> But you're going to have to leave. We're asking you to leave >> my house. Okay. Blah blah. Right now me on. And right now he told me to stay in here and wait until he come back. So leave me alone. Leave me alone. Leave me alone. Leave me alone. I'll wait for blah blah to come back. >> Okay. >> Get off of me. Get off of me. Get off of me. Y >> ma'am Yeah, this is why >> any luck, >> huh? >> No way. No way. I didn't do nothing wrong. Go away. >> You ready to stand up? One, two, three. Go. We're going to walk towards this window here. Okay. >> Surprisingly, her earlier outburst came to an abrupt halt after the cuffs clicked into place, and removing her through the window proved to be far easier than anyone thought it would be. Put your foot up, please. >> Help. You want [Applause] need assistance? Are you good? >> Just watch me flop out of here, that's all. >> Oh god, >> he's way more cooperative about that than I expected. Hold my hand. There we go. >> Yeah. >> Now, while the officers are in the process of completing the arrest, an unexpected bystander approaches the scene. >> All right. >> Yep. >> Going on here. >> Don't worry about it. Walking. >> I just wanted to see cuz um >> she's good. >> All right. She's all right. >> I don't reason I'm asking because I be at this house sometimes. She said I have nowhere to be. >> Oh, don't go in there anymore. go in there cuz you'll get arrested. >> And let me tell you, let me tell you that that's fine, too. But the people at CSS is not done right by my money. One of the officers did give me $40 today. >> Oh, yeah. >> I I shouldn't have nowhere to stay. I should not have nowhere to say I have no money to have nothing. >> Okay. >> You know, and then all them up there acting like the people both sides of CS acting like they about my money. >> Okay. >> So, I'm just I came to see what it was so I can be safe and also so I can tell y'all about that too about >> why I'm in Atlanta house anyway. Why you're what? >> Why I was in the B house in the first place anyway when I shouldn't be. >> Okay. >> You know what I'm saying? Like they they slip my money from CSS. >> Okay. >> Have you talked to your case worker? >> So you have a good day. I want to check with you. Okay. >> Okay. I got you. Have a good day. >> You're willing to go down and sign charges of the station here in a minute? >> I'm thinking this just passing. I'm sure everybody's been breaking into it because literally that guy that just walked by, he goes, "Oh, I've been staying there every once in a while, too." And like just thinks it's okay. Well, don't do it again, man. >> I mean, nothing. She wasn't stealing, per se. >> She's just sitting there on the floor. >> So, I don't think we're going to There's a There was some truck parked out front here and they disappeared on you guys. >> Yeah. No, I think this is like This is like the homeless shelter right now. That's upstairs. There's a air mattress. All right, let me let me look at her in You're good if you want to head on out. >> Ultimately, the incident concluded with a woman being charged with criminal trespassing. Number four, squatter tried to scare the police but ended up in cuffs. On February 3rd, 2023, officers were called to a neighborhood over reports of an alleged squatter inside a vacant home. Don't shoot. Both claim their cousin gave them permission to be there, but officers have already spoken with the property owners who say no one has the right to be inside. >> Why? Why you searching me like that? >> No one searched you. You're not going anywhere. I told you you're not going anywhere. >> Okay, then I'm going to call I'm going to call I'm going to record you. >> That's fine. Face my car. >> You have nothing going to poke stick me for next car. >> They finished patting her down. And though they can't restrain her yet, the woman's behavior shows she's ready to stir more conflict. Lord, mercy. Let me call my Instagram. Let me start harassing. I feel harassed. Especially a man searching me down there. That's inappropriate. >> Safety pat down. >> Well, it's inappropriate. Rest of a woman. She should have did it. She's a woman. I'm talking about a apartment that's supposed to be the vacant lot. >> Yeah. >> Why you still got me sitting in it? Stay here. >> You were in it. >> I was what? >> In it? >> I understand that, but I had nothing to do with this. >> But you were upstairs in the apartment. >> You're right. Because I want to know why the police were out here. So, I came. >> So, why were you in there in the first place? >> I came upstairs and looked and then came downstairs. >> No, >> I don't I don't I don't have to hide from y'all. >> Well, you guys did cuz somebody locked the door. >> No, I didn't hide. >> Okay. Well, somebody locked the door. Both suspects persist in arguing their innocence, but the female suspect's next move will turn out to be a serious mistake. >> Goldie box and that whole tell you don't do it because they don't even know what you just know that when you go back to the police department, they'll let you know. Look, there she go right there. Look, look at my look. And that's definitely would be out here. Like I was getting my things like come on bro. Stop tensing up. >> I'm asking you to stop tensing up, sir. >> Go ahead. >> Do not resent. >> Both suspects are now in cuffs, still arguing their side. But at this point, the officers have heard enough. >> I ain't getting in your car. Cop. >> Did you get my text my phone? >> Nope. >> What? >> Only stays with you. >> Leave me my right. My camera's still on. Read me my rights. Henry, leave me my rights. But you put me in custody. Your friend told me to. Your friend told me to. Your friend told me. >> Stop moving around, >> bro. She's going to add that tack on there, too. >> What? Who? Me? >> Not you. What? Like, okay. What am I going to jail for? >> We're going to figure that out, right? >> Trespassing here, right? >> But I don't know. But I came up here to the reason why you're not supposed to be here. >> That's >> Do you have anything on you before you get to the jail? >> That's all it is. >> Check pockets, >> man. That man already checked my pockets. >> You better move. >> Not with my feet in car. Don't touch me. Oh, >> ma'am. I'm going to ask you to >> crazy Henry. Like real like you flagging. Can you get my phone, Henry? >> No, ma'am. >> Follow in. >> I'm in, bro. >> Then when I get out, I'mma beat that Chico over there, too. Watch. I remember you, Chico. You can't hide. >> Now that both are in custody, the officers begin working out the next steps to bring the case to a close. >> There's uh six trespasses here. approximately six trespasses here. He has >> Okay. He said he had one from 10 years ago. >> He got six and a couple arrests on this property. >> Do we want to um NCA or take him to jail? >> Oh, she's probably getting threats on law enforcement. So, >> Oh, okay. >> They're both going. >> Okay. Sure. Okay. >> I guess they've been breaking in here quite often according to not just the neighbor, but uh management, but that's why they came to change the locks on Tuesdays cuz the neighbors were like, "Hey, >> breaking in here." Um, >> so they said that the tenant probably has not lived here for quite some time, but on behalf of the housing authority, they wish to um press charges for the trespass. >> Okay. >> This is my warning, so let me go. >> So, is this your real name? >> Yes, let me go, please, sir. >> All right. If I find out that this isn't your real name, you're going to get additional charges. >> I know. Can you please let me go, sir? I have kids. I have a wife, bro. I have a girlfriend. Bro, you don't you don't have to do me like that, bro. I didn't do anything wrong but record you guys. Are y'all getting mad because I recorded y'all? >> She can argue her side all she wants, but she's still facing charges of trespassing, intimidation, and threatening a law enforcement officer with serious bodily harm. >> And I'm selling that white lady out cuz she pushed me really hard and I stumbled, bro. So, you would let her push you like that, bro, without getting mad. Hello. You got >> Give me a second. I'm on the mic. >> Transporting one female to LCJ starting 24. >> So why he ain't going to jail and I'm the only one going to jail? >> Hello. >> You know you assume a lot. >> How do I assume a lot, sir? I'm scared, sir. I don't know what you guys are going to do to me, sir. Recording. >> You weren't scared earlier when you threatened my supervisors. You were threatening me. You know, but that's what kids do, bro. That's what us adults do to, you know, >> that's not okay. >> It's not okay. And I know and I apologize. I was about to apologize, but you guys just went out the way and just wanted me to go to jail for no reason. >> Pass that point. You are going to jail, ma'am. >> Come on, sir. You have to do me like that, Henry. >> I thought we were better than that, Henry. And I and I sat in front of you and I chilled the whole time, Henry. And you still taking me to jail for some? >> Yes, ma'am. You are going to jail because of your actions today, not mine. >> I didn't even do anything, Henry. The resolution of her case remains undisclosed. Number three, an entitled trespasser argues with police until she's arrested. On January 30th, 2024, police responded to a cosmetology school after receiving a report of a woman trespassing despite being told to leave multiple times. The officer's goal is simple. Remove her from the property. But as you'll see, the female suspect has something else in mind. Hey, did you call? >> No, I'm good. >> How are you? >> Good. You instructor? >> Um, I guess there's a situation with one of our students right here and with a female outside. Female's house. >> That one right there. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> From I don't know much the situation because >> usual trespass. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Hey. >> Hi. So, I guess there was a little issue here and they're just going to have you trespass. Okay. So, you can't come back here for at least 6 months. >> So, this is So, you >> hold on. I'm just letting you know. I have to do this. They asked me the business. I can't tell them no. >> I'm not I'm not >> I need your ID. >> I don't have my ID. >> They She got So, you did this at the school, too? >> Are you serious right now? I don't know why. >> Can you just hang out and stop moving so much, please? Just relax. Um, I'm calling the person that I was calling to come outside to talk to me. I don't I don't I don't hang out with you. >> Yes, you do. >> Why? >> Cuz I'm telling you, you have to stay here until I'm done with you. >> No, I didn't call you. I didn't do anything wrong. I didn't do anything wrong. >> All I'm doing is issuing a trespass. >> Okay, go ahead. I don't >> I have to get your information. >> I don't have my information to give you. You have to get it from her. You're going to give it to me. >> I don't have it, sir. I don't have it. >> Listen to me. You got to give me your information to identify yourself. >> I don't have it. >> You can't tell me your name, date of birth. >> I can tell you, but I'm I'm not willing to tell you because you're telling me I did something wrong and I wasn't >> You're not paying attention. >> I'm telling you that you're not going to jail for trespassing. I'm telling you, you're being trespassed from now on to not set foot in that business. >> That's fine, but I need to go out. >> My car is over here with my ID. >> Relax. Relax. I want to stay here. >> The officer explains that she's being trespassed from the property and needs a trespass warning, but her refusal to cooperate is about to escalate the situation. >> I can't believe this is embarrassing. >> Stop. >> This is embarrassing. >> Relax. I'm relaxing. I'm calling. >> You're not going anywhere. >> I'm not going nowhere. My car's open. >> Ma'am, relax. What's your last name? >> Miss, I need your name. >> Go ask the person that calls you. >> I'm asking you. I need your information to issue the trespass. [Applause] >> Ma'am, [Applause] what's your last name? What's your last name? >> Ma'am, I need your last name. >> I don't I don't want to talk to you, sir, because I didn't do anything. >> I need to issue you a trespass. Okay, go ahead and get the information. >> I'm not getting it from her cuz then I need to make sure that I have the right person. >> I turn around and you're going to leave. I'm not sure >> then. Why can't you tell me your name number right here? This is my car. >> Tell me your name and date of birth and >> go get it from them because no one said anything to me. No one miss >> They don't have to. I'm the one telling you. >> So tell them to come identify me to say that's her. That's her. >> They told me that's the girl outside standing outside. They pointed you out. >> Okay. would get my name from them because >> I can't believe this girl just did this. >> What's your last name? >> 3694. >> All I need is your last name. >> You have to get it first. >> No. >> Okay. Well, get it off my card. I'm telling you that's my Tell her to come out here and tell you that's my vehicle right there. I didn't do anything wrong. Literally, I've been standing on the phone talking to the person. As you see, you walked out. I was on the phone with her. >> The officer already explained the situation. And now, how this incident will end will depend on the woman's next choice. >> I turn around and go to your car. You're either going to go in there, mess with her, or you're going to do something. >> Why I go in there? You telling me the people is saying I'm trespassing. I'm not no different. >> You're not trespassing right now. You are not listening. You're not trespassing. I'm telling you, you're being trespassed. It's a warning. It's from now on, from now till 6 months, you cannot go back to that business. You can go to any of the other businesses, but you're not going to set foot in that one after tonight. That is all that we're doing. >> And that's fine. I don't I don't care what >> I'm trespassing right now. I'm issuing you a warning. >> Okay, that's fine. But I'm telling you, I'm not giving you my name. Go get it from her. The person that told you to call, get my information. Give me your name. >> I don't have my ID. >> You don't have to give me your ID. Give me your name and date of birth. >> Sabrina Floyd. >> Thank you. >> Okay. Now go ask my name. >> Floyd's your last name, ma'am. >> No, that's not my name. That's not my name. I don't feel like I did anything wrong to be given. >> Ma'am, are you going to give me a wrong name, too? >> Give you a wrong name? I gave you her name. The person >> I want your name. Do not play games. I will take you to jail right now for resisting without I will >> you taking me to jail? >> Yes, I will. If you do not give me your name and date of birth to issue this trespass, I will take you to Rock Road. >> Cuz I didn't do anything. >> Okay, turn around for me. All right. >> My ID is in my car. Come on. >> Change behind the back. >> My ID is in my car, though. >> You want to go get it for me? >> I was telling you to follow me to my car. That's my That's my car. I can go get it from you. >> Not going to risk you trying to climb in your car and drive off. >> Why do I seem like a a crazy manger or something? My ID, my car, that's all that belongs to me. >> You're going to be detained for a moment. All right. >> Okay. Can I get my cell phone? >> Yeah, I'll pick it up. >> With the cuffs in place, she drops her earlier stance and claims she hasn't done a thing. You put me in handcuffs for me telling you that's my vehicle right there. >> Can you zip your hand out? Yeah, you can. >> No, I cannot. >> Okay, I'll stay here. You go to my car. >> Let go of the keys. >> This is my keys. >> Let go of the keys. >> I didn't even do anything. All right. >> Can you put my keys? Yep. You treated me. You seen me standing there innocently, not yelling, not doing anything on the on the cell phone. >> You didn't want to give me your information. >> I didn't call you my information. >> You do not listen, do you? >> My vehicle. That's my vehicle right there. The white one. >> The one that's not even remotely parked in a parking spot. >> That's my vehicle right here. That's backed in that vehicle right there. >> That one. That's >> Can I give you my ID so you can run in? Why are you putting me back here for? >> You got to hop in the car. Hop in. >> You're taking me to jail. >> In the meantime, it's just me and you. Hop in. >> But can you get my ID, please? >> You taking me to jail for nothing I did. I didn't do anything in innocently. I'm telling you. >> I was issuing a warning for trespassing. So, you cannot set foot back on this business. You don't want to give me your information. I warned you. >> My ID is in my car. You didn't have to give me your license. Give me your name and date of birth. Playing games. I just asked you and you said that's not my name. I said >> you think I'm stupid. >> Go get my ID. It's right, sir. I'm telling you the honest guy truth. >> Slide your feet in. >> Are you I don't want to go to jail for nothing. I didn't do anything, sir. I didn't do anything. >> Wait a minute. >> So, one female at a time. [Applause] As a final courtesy before the trip to the station, the officer secures the woman's vehicle. [Applause] >> Is it that car right here? This Merc Mercedes >> the key to unlock the door. So, you need a 94. >> 54. I got her in my car now. She's being uncooperative. So, can you 65 tag? >> This is her name and date of birth. >> Um, >> for who? >> For this girl. >> Okay. Yeah, I just pulled up her tag now cuz she was being difficult. >> Yeah, I saw I would have not given that much. Uh, but you were very patient. >> I have to because of politics and issues and >> Yeah. >> Now the game goes. >> Yes. It's It's too much. So, anyways, she's in there. I just wanted to bring that out. So, if you needed to get it >> made it easier. Yeah. I think if uh if she's the same girl that lives in Pont, do they live together or something? >> Okay. >> They don't live together. So, they um I know she's just terrified this girl. >> When I walked in, she didn't want to talk and they were on the phone and she was like, "Girl, just get out of here." She like, "Okay, you don't want to talk to me." And I figured she was telling her to get up and scram. And then it wouldn't have been no trip off Mar. But she probably would have come back. >> Yeah. Yeah. She's going to come back. Yeah, for sure. >> All right. >> All right. >> Appreciate it. Thank you. >> I'm not being charged with >> resisting. I told you and I'm going to tell you again. Stop rambling about it. Resisting without violence. Simple obstruction. I needed your information. I needed. That is not how if someone asks you for your info, you don't say go to my car and find out. >> I say go to my life. >> No. Don't. Why? What's so hard about saying your full name and your date of birth when I ask it? >> No. No. No. >> Seriously? >> No. No. No. >> In addition to being trespassed from the cosmetology school, the woman was also charged with resisting without violence. Number two, ignoring the court got this evicted tenant a new charge. On April 25th, 2024 in Florida, officers responded to a call about a tenant refusing to leave despite being legally evicted and served multiple court orders. Here's how the encounter plays out. >> Hey ma'am, what's your name? >> What is it? >> Milan. >> Milan? Yeah. Do you have an ID on you? >> So, I I'll let you know right now. Um, I talked to the deputy that served the paperwork. >> He notified me that you were properly evicted. >> Deputy came today. Um, evicted her out and he had me change the lock. >> The deputy had you change the lock? >> Deputy Curry. >> Hey, Deputy Curry. It's Officer Michael Price, Daytona Beach. >> She was evicted properly earlier. Okay. He went and took her legal paperwork, went to the courthouse, filed two separate motions. I got notice from the courts. Both motions were denied. >> Okay. >> I did go to the courthouse. I I gave them all type of evidence to show them exactly what's going on. >> Records show she's gone 5 months without paying rent, one of several reasons for the eviction. Despite that, the woman still insists that she's the one being wronged. They just denied um no legal basis. >> Okay. So I I already have that >> there's plenty of legal basis. >> I I understand that you you believe that there's plenty of legal basis. >> But they've already denied your judgment. >> Which means So if if you understand that >> I have 24 hours to be evicted. I need >> you've already been evicted. >> I'm not evicted. I need to get access back. I'm I'm They're not giving you access back to your stuff. I I just want to let you know >> I need to get access. >> I just want to let you know right now at this point it doesn't seem like we're kind of getting anywhere and I and I really don't want to escalate it to the further the next level. >> I'm just letting you know >> you've been properly evicted. >> Listen, may I speak please? >> I've been getting May around for like almost eight years now. >> Okay. >> For almost eight years. >> Okay. I'm I'm going to explain to you as simple as I can. They've evicted you. Okay. You went to the court, your act your actions were denied. Okay? Which means you've been properly evicted, which means you no longer have any tenant rights to this place. If you would like to grab your stuff, you can call them at a later date and arrange to grab your stuff. But as of right now, you've been legally evicted and they do not want you on the property. So, I have to ask you to leave the property. If you refuse to leave the property, I'm going to place you under arrest. Okay? >> I'm telling you right now, I as I just said, long history. >> I'm I'm letting you know right now, ma'am. If you I don't want to place you on arrest, but at this point in time, you're giving me no recourse. >> This is a long history. >> You're giving me no Can you please leave the property? >> I'm getting I want you. >> No, we're not. We're not doing any of that. >> There's no legal basis for me to get the support back. >> Will you leave the property? Yes or no? >> But and now, >> will you leave the property? Yes or no? >> Ma'am, please legal. >> Will you leave the property? Yes or no? >> No. >> Okay, do me a favor. Stand up. >> No. >> 47 central. >> Recognizing the situation is about to escalate, the officer radios for assistance. >> Is there another unit close by? >> I need to speak to the supervisor. >> There the jet that you need to speak to him. >> He does not want to speak to you. They've already properly evicted you. At this point, you're going to go to jail for trespassing. I'm not for trespassing. How is trespassing? >> Thank you. 61. >> How is trespassing? >> You're I'm telling I've asked you to leave. >> Yeah, I'm cold for I've already asked you to leave. You told me no. >> I need to get access to my stuff. I have plenty of stuff. They've already evicted. I have plenty of stuff in the apartment. >> They do not want to allow you access to to the to the place. >> What's the reason? >> They don't have to. They don't have to give you a reason. There's no reason. No, they don't. >> Why? Why not? >> Cuz they don't have to give you a reason. They've already given you enough time to grab your stuff and leave. You did not do that. >> When did they give me plenty of stuff? >> When they gave you a notice. >> When When was that? >> I'm just letting you know right now. >> When was that? >> You're going to be placed under arrest. >> When was that? >> Okay. >> When was that? >> The property owner has dealt with this for months with a woman refusing to address her unpaid dues. And now the officer faces the same resistance when it comes to her admitting fault in the situation. >> There's no legal basis. But now you you're trying to enforce the law for trespassing. >> I'm telling you right now, you're they don't want you on the property. >> There's no legal basis there where there is plenty of evidence. There's plenty >> that's something you can take up with the court. >> I did already see it. They don't want to see it. >> Then that's and there that that's where we are right now. Okay. At this point in time, you have to leave the property. I don't want to take you to jail. >> I really don't. I'm just asking you to leave the property >> because you know you won't. No, I'm not wrong. The court has already told you. >> You know you won't. The court is wrong. You won't. >> Even the supervisor. Now the office is closed. >> Okay. >> Suddenly the office is closed. There's not something fishy about that. Nothing fishy about that. Nothing is fishy about that. >> Okay. >> This is your country. Have fun. >> You No, no, no, no, no. This is your country. Have fun. No. Let me go. Let me go. going to do. >> Let me go. This is your country. This is your country. Have fun. Let me go. Right now. You're not free to go. This is Let me go. Do not touch me. Let me go. >> Letting you know you're not free to go. Have fun. >> You're not. >> This is your country. >> Please do not Please do not fight. Do not resist. Stop resisting. >> Please stop resisting. >> Let me go. >> Please stop resisting. >> Please stop resisting. >> Please stop resisting. >> Okay. Let don't touch her. Please. Don't make it hard. Let me go. Let me go. Don't make it hard for yourself, honey. Don't make it hard for yourself. >> Come on. This is my place right here. Don't make it hard for yourself, honey. >> This is my place right here. >> Don't make it hard for yourself. Get off my place. My >> Get inside. >> I'm going to have a female 10:15. Yes. including my >> It doesn't take long for the woman's acquaintances and former neighbors to show up to support her, but it doesn't change what's coming. >> You just leave her property right there if you don't mind. >> Thank you. I appreciate it, man. >> Take everything from me as evidence. Take everything. >> You want her You want her to have your property? >> You You can take it. You can take her to jail. >> Yeah, she's going to jail. >> You want me to put it? Want me to put it in my key, baby? I'll keep it. Okay, >> I'll keep this. >> There we go. >> Don't fight, sweetie, cuz you make it hard on yourself. I'll keep your baby. Please stop. >> Can Can you I just have to walk downstairs. >> Okay, we're going to go downstairs, ma'am. >> Yeah, I'm going to go >> evidence evidence cuz you you want to enforce it when you want to. >> Thank you. >> You want to enforce it when you want to? What's Nicole, you're going to get illegal. What's black? Nicole, you're going to get Nicole. >> I will go to ch. I don't mind. Come on in, Jeff. All right. You're going to lean your chest on this part of the vehicle right there. Spread your feet for me, please. Shoulder width apart. Shoulder width apart, please. Thank you. Stay on the vehicle, please. >> Now that a female officer is on the scene, a pat down is conducted to confirm she has nothing illegal on her before she's taken in. >> Title on you. Okay. >> How you doing, ma'am? >> My partner's going to search you here. Okay. She's just going to the trespassing system. >> Okay. Um, Officer Deer, I have to search you prior to you going to uh jail. Is there anything on you at all that I should know about? Okay. Do you have any questions about the process right now? >> Okay. Nothing in your pockets, ma'am. Okay. Your necklace is going to be taken off at the at the um police department, but you can keep it right now. They're just going to I'm just letting you know ahead of time. Okay. >> Can you take the bun? The whatever hair tie she has. >> The hair? >> Yeah. Please don't. >> Please don't. >> Hold on. >> I'm just checking it. >> Ma'am. Ma'am, please. What's tying your hair together? >> It's just a scrunchie. >> Do you mind taking that off? >> Don't Please. It's going to be taken off. >> There's nothing on my hair. Do not touch my hair. There's nothing on my hair. Do not touch my car. >> They're going to check it at the jail. >> They're going to take it. You cannot have it in my car. >> You can't do that. They do that. >> You cannot have it in my car, man. >> I can't do anything. >> So, please listen. We We really don't want to escalate this. I'm asking you to stop moving so they can take the scrunchie out. It's going to be taken out at the jail. >> This is not without this is not with any disrespect. I'm not trying to disrespect you. Okay. >> Touch my hand. I don't have anything. I can't do anything in the car. You have you handcuff? >> Yeah, absolutely. >> Thank you. >> Hello. >> Watch your head. >> There you go. >> Watch your feet. >> Thank you. She just would not leave. They were already a vict. >> I appreciate your help. Thank you. Until the end, the woman stuck to her claims, but a refusal to leave the property and unwillingness to listen were what ultimately led to her current predicament. >> All right, ma'am. Please step out of the vehicle, please. Turn around and face the vehicle. Please don't walk. Just face the vehicle. Thank you. Watch your arm. All right, we're going to walk through this door over here. Step to your left. >> Um, those reading glasses. Your necklace. Take it off. Scratching. Scratching. Scratching. >> Yeah. Are you going to take this? >> I can't. >> That's >> I don't have anything in my hair. >> Smart prisoner. That scrunchie is not going in there with her. That's a shenanizer. >> You're okay. >> Sorry. I will not. I don't have anything. You can find it. >> Ma'am, I'm letting you know you're going to get another charger if you don't take that off. >> Okay. You can give me another charger. >> Okay. You have to take the scrunchie off. >> In the end, the woman's actions led to charges of trespassing and resisting arrest without violence. Number one, police tracked down squatters who moved into a home they didn't own. On September 3rd, 2024, Akran police responded to reports of squatters inside a residence. Watch as they move in to sweep the property. >> All right, your time to shine. So, just like everything else, take your time. [Applause] making >> I have not. Um, who is the actual landlord supposed to be? What's his name? >> Um, I know his name is Matt. He's been texting me, but um, I don't know his last name. He's been texting me. He's saying to clean up and that's what I've been doing. >> Don't get me wrong, is the guy who's doing the work for the landlord? >> No, he said he owned the house. We've been here >> since April. >> Yes, please. >> I mean, if you want me to get my phone, I can't >> to show you because I'm not covering everything. And this was a mess. And >> Well, I know, but this place has been condemned. So, it sounds like somebody's trying to get you to do their job and not knowing that cuz you don't even know who the actual landlord is, right? >> No, I just I'm guy. He came over and there's more people in here. He told me to clear it up. That's what I did. >> Yeah. >> The couple continues trying to explain themselves, but the officers have heard enough. >> Almost almost like he's trying to clean it up to rent a condemned place now. >> Oh, okay. I didn't know that. >> Well, I put this stuff up because people kept kicking the door. So, I put this stuff up. Start taking the carpets up. >> Good for a second. If I go talk to Sam, see if he actually knows who he's actual. Hey, next time when we say how many people are in there, don't say none. All right. >> Okay. Sorry. You didn't know? >> You didn't know? My apologies. >> Seven. >> How many people's in here? >> Probably 67 total. >> One chance. What's your name? >> Okay. Put your hands behind your back. >> We got to go out. Yep. You got a warrant. >> So, I know you've been staying here. You've been staying here. >> When When was you know when this was actually condemned? >> I don't know how to call it. >> A big thing is this is clearly not a safe house, right? I mean, I we were trying to check the basement and there's pipes leaking and running water down there, right? >> Yes, sir. I'm trying to fix that. I'm sorry. >> I >> Okay. You said you're trying to fix it, but it it's not happening. That's why this place has been condemned because the city doesn't find it safe for any kind of, >> you know, living, anything like that. >> Okay. So, it sounds like somebody's trying to basically let you guys stay here that probably doesn't even actually own this place to then get you to actually clean it up, right? >> Whether it's actually being cleaned up or >> Yes, I've been cleaning it. >> I get it. But my point is is that, you know, you're not these people probably aren't even the ones that own the property. >> Oh. >> The woman appears to understand and to her credit admits she was wrong to stay in the home. Does that >> Yeah, that makes sense. I guess what you're saying. >> So, we're figuring out exactly what's going on in terms of this. You know, we know it's condemned, but we're trying to get a time frame of when it actually occurred. Um, but more than likely, you guys got to get out of here. I mean, it's just not >> not how it's going to go. >> Me for what? Sounds like you got a couple more. One of which is breaking and entering. So >> breaking and entering where? >> That's what we'll let you know here in a second. But that's what they're telling us. >> Yeah, you must have war. I don't I broken nowhere. >> Did you give her your correct information? >> Yeah. >> Then we'll let you know here in a second. They're telling us you have a warrant for a couple things. So >> no, I didn't break nowhere. I didn't do anything. >> Switch these cuffs out for you. Okay. >> Hey, what's your social? >> I never did anything. >> All right. What's your first day? >> Yes. >> All right. And you're sure you gave my partner the correct? >> Yeah. All right. >> I never done nothing wrong. >> Hang tight with her. Okay. Yeah, you got one out of us. >> Yeah. >> From where? >> They're still writing it down. >> For what? >> It's out of a It's for B&E and Grand Theft. >> I never did that. Somebody stole my Never stolen anything. >> Okay. >> Well, >> Grand from where? >> It's somewhere over on the east side. >> I never been on the east side. you said it's showing you gave my partner that information and that's the name and with your photo that's pulled up with all that stuff. It's showing that you have that warrant. All right. >> In the end, both women are detained and transported to the station on their outstanding warrants. >> One big step and watch your head. Okay. >> Oh boy. >> Be careful. And once we get going, there's a little blue strap behind there. Hold on to that. And I got to put up this crossbar. I didn't do anything. >> Can I kiss my boyfriend? >> Excuse me. >> Yeah. >> Can I kiss my finger? >> Uh, we'll see >> with uh the landlord here. >> Get a hold of him. Figure out what's going on. >> Yeah, this lady >> because like listen, at the same time, you know, like I talked about previously, something's not right with the house. So, you know, we're trying to work with you guys about not just kicking you out. >> How much time you >> Well, I mean, it sounds like it sounds like you guys have some time. So, just be smart about it. Um, you know, just work work with the landlord about trying to figure out what's what's going on >> and make sure you have a plan B just in case. >> Yeah. >> You know, >> All right, guys. No. >> What? >> Which one's your dude? >> Tony one. >> No. >> So, you have a warrant for breaking and entering. I don't know the details of like what cuz it could have been a shed or it could have been a vacant. >> No, I never broke nothing on the east side. >> That's what it it's it's that it's from literally probably a month or two ago from what it looks like based off the report number. >> No, that's a lie. That's what you got to go to court for and let them know. And then >> as for the men, they had a brief opportunity to retrieve their belongings before they left. What's your verdict? Let me know in the comments and I'll see you in the next video. As always, stay safe out there, folks.
