Officers from the Omro Police Department along with deputies from the Wnebago County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a disturbance involving a weapon in the 300 block of East Main Street. When officers arrived, they learned that the individuals involved had already fled the area in a vehicle. >> Copy that. We don't currently have >> to speed west. Eventually, the U-Haul was driving on bare rims. The suspects maneuvered around a Fondulac police squad, blocking the Johnson Street exit. But as the truck turned onto Johnson Street, a pursuing trooper performed a successful pit maneuver in an attempt to end the chase. AFTER initially bumping the U-Haul in an attempt to force compliance, he ultimately pushed the vehicle through the intersection, spinning it sideways and pushing it off the roadway until it became disabled. A loaded firearm was recovered from inside the U-Haul.
