Stop the car. >> Just after 3:29 p.m., East Hartford police officers responded to Governor's auto body and repair after a tow truck operator reported that a man had pulled a gun during an argument over missing items from a recently towed vehicle. When officer Brian Altoano arrived, he spotted a white Infinity in the shop's parking lot. A man sat in the driver's seat while another man and a woman stood near the passenger side, both holding two young children. >> 20, you hit my car. Stop it. Stop it. >> You stop the car. Stop the car. >> STOP THE CAR. THE INFINITI LAUNCHED FORWARD, slamming directly into Officer Giluchi's cruiser. The driver then reversed at high speed, knocking the two adults still holding the children to the ground. The Infiniti, later confirmed to be stolen, sped away and fled onto I84 westbound. Officers later found it abandoned on Triau Street in Hartford. The suspect who fled the scene has not yet been identified.
