officer exposes [music] gift card scam targeting people during the holidays. >> What happens is the victim goes to the gift card rack, they pull the gift card off, they go up to the register, they pay for that card, they get a receipt, but what they don't know is that the scammer has taken their own barcode and attached it over the original barcode and that barcode amount goes to their own account. And then when you give this card to your loved one, it has no money on it. So, just be aware of that and have a great holiday.
