I respect you all but I'm so tormented I'm so tormented but this is not the answer for that I know it's not but I don't look at how you parked I see that and I ma'am I understand but you were literally passed out in the Drive-Thru yeah we could see you from the red light mhm you never moved you never moved until I approached your car and that's with Personnel yelling at you the people behind you yelling at you I miss my son it's the only son I ever have in his life so ma'am he was so he was so sick and he called me he was in Georgia and I told my son I'm I'm listening to you I am I respect officers I do you know I really do but ma'am so the entire time I've been here you've explained that multiple times now but that does not an explanation for why you decided to get behind the wheel after you drank alcohol because I had I I went to Georgia spent the day understand that you went to Georgia my son Sons and I I didn't eat anything and I said let me put some food on my stomach let me go on home so now we have something called door Dash and that works and somebody can deliver it to you you do not have to put anyone's life at risk on the roadways M any excuse that you're about to give me I can give you a valid reason why you shouldn't do it and I understand that so what kind of position are you putting me in I'm not trying to put you in any position I'm not trying to put you in any position I respect police officers but I'm so tormented because my son was in Georgia and I feel like if I had gone to Georgia and brought my son back I was sick with Co myself I'm not trying to put you in any positions or make any excuses or anything like that do you have anyone you can call my daughter she's my daughter's at home my daughter's a student at UAB and your daughter's at home right now yes and she's a PCT and um ma'am I don't she is home right now she's at home right now so call her tell her to come get you let me do that ma'am I don't know her number you'll have stories I go to to go to' stop talking and listen Okay okay you put us in a position sorry where it's our responsibility in in the service to the public if somebody's breaking the law for the safety of the public at large and the motoring public we have to do what's necessary to alter that behavior so it doesn't happen again in this circumstance what what we've elected to do what officer Rees is elected to do is to believe that you're going to understand the gravity of what you've done even though you're going through a great amount of grief and that this isn't going to happen again and that calling someone to get you is the best thing that can happen but I need to know that you understand that even know you're going through something that's unimaginable to me that every vehicle that you see out here on this road and in this parking lot is somebody else's child I do okay I need you to understand that you don't want someone else to feel the pain that you feel because of your actions it kill me so it would kill me it would kill me to destroy a life so I need to know yes that you understand a few I understand that you understand that you can't drink and operate a vehicle understand and and I need to know that you understand that you taking your medication and drinking with it makes that medication a thousand times more powerful now [Music] I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I need to and blind honestly think she's just going through something very traumatic and she made a very bad decision but instead of punishing her for that we're going to elect to let her daughter come get her and take her home and hopefully correct their behavior that way this L of work you'll hear stories about honestly people are going through the worst things of their lives when we deal with them um so we never really get to deal with people on their happiest day it's always the worst so you really can't take everybody's Story the way they say it okay I don't know what we've got down here there's a vehicle with it flashers on right here superate hop out and make sure they don't need any assistance 751 71 code 5 possible 1046 be super eight parking lot probably just getting out of the storm but we'll make sure they don't need anything okay um just ah heads up about a mile mile and a half down here there's a traffic accident so it may be just a minute before y'all can get through um I don't they're having to drive um extremely slow they pulled into the gas station to take shelter from the weather and now we are headed to an address of 146 Ash Malon Lane uh possible burglary in progress the notes we have right now um a homeowner has got there U the front door is wide open believe somebody's broke into the caller's residents it's the caller's dad's house um we'll get there figure out the initial scene uh if they have not went into the residence I'll wait for a backup unit um we always take two into a house um we'll clear make sure no suspect Person of Interest are inside one if I had to guess that's probably going to be the caller 751 code 511 Alpha Charlie November marry uniform hey what's going on Z forg that okay um if you want to if you want to sit in your car yeah um for just a minute I'm going to wait till my backup unit gets here um the door jam doesn't look damaged okay um we had winds probably 50 60 M hour within just the last couple of minutes um it's possible the door wasn't secure fully when wind may have pushed it open um when I get my unit here we'll go in clear it make sure everything's fine okay this is home her son they know where the home is I night everything's C for you show both units tonight so that was a possible burglary in progress um one homeowner is out of town the other one's at work and received a notification uh the front door motion so they dispatched us out here um upon arrival I looked at the door frame it didn't appear to be damaged or anything like that and with the recent storm rolling through it's possible that the wind blew the door open if it wasn't properly secured um myself and my partner went in we cleared the home best we could um there's no items damaged or missing and the homeowner was updated and we're
