Stay with him. >> Somebody called in a welfare check on your kid. >> Possible shootings over here on their left. [music] You crushed to death, man. You tripped out. It >> is a shooting, but nobody can really specifically say if anyone is actually shot. EMS are not being dispatched this time into that. There's now another disturbance coming in at the same address but near apartment 401. Said he was driving around the parking lot threatening to make shootings to people. It was a black male, 25 years old, shirtless and had a hat on. He also left going south on high wall at 2047 and apparently now he's back. So, we're in route to a disturbance weapon shots fired, multiple calling parties, uh, at an apartment complex that has a lot of gun crime. >> When we're in the area, >> sounds like officers just got >> near the building. We'll take the gear for something. >> We got our violent kind violent crime guys out there on the scene now stopping the car that's possibly related to the shooting. We're about >> under a mile away. We don't have CAD access anymore right now, so I can't tell where the car stop is exactly. Car stop is right up here in front of us. the possible shootings over here on their left with these apartments right now. >> 61 clear >> 23 myself. I'm 21 or 1023 at the apartments. And when we get an apartment number, let us know. I've gotten bunch of different apartment numbers. Luckily, building 402 was one of the ones that he was actually inside. >> Huh? >> Okay. >> Okay. Give me one second. Give me one second. >> So, the guy that was shooting left. Yeah. Was he shooting? I didn't see the shooting. I saw the running off the road. >> He was shooting and they shot his they busted his back window out. The girl was punching me back at the stoop, >> but then he came back and he tried to run the boy off over over the road. >> Okay. So, so the black male in the car was the one shooting. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Give me one second. 23. The units on the car stop. The in custody you have is >> being reported as the one that was shooting. >> All bad is all bad. >> Let me chat with you over here. Give me one minute. I'll chat with you. I wasn't there. I just saw the run in the road. >> Okay. I'll talk to you here in a second. Hun >> maybe about an hour ago. >> Okay. >> Uh Ashley was back there in the I call that the fourth sto back there by immigrants. >> Who's Ashley? >> A 16-year-old friend of mine. >> Okay. >> But the boy, the black boy that was doing the shooting, he was back there and his girlfriend has curly hair. She hit me twice. >> Okay. >> At the first stoop right by the park before the shooting. So, at the ve the very last building. So, >> the shooter, the the black guy, his girlfriend hit you, right? >> Okay. All right. Do you know who she is? What her name is? >> Scene down there. >> A scene. >> It's on the last >> the very last the building nine. I think that's what it is. You were down there hanging out doing a friend of mine from before that pulled a pistol came through here with the black boy or the color the boy in the black car that did the shooting. >> Okay. >> She was in there. She pulled a pistol on me at my friend's house in 112 before. Oh, >> previously. Previous. >> Okay. I was like, we got more to Okay. >> So, when I seen her come through here, I'm like, "Oh my goodness." >> So, I walked barefoot and all with a broken toe down there. >> Okay. >> Okay. They hit me three times. The boy was like They was beating the boy up. He He had the gun out. >> Okay. >> They was beating the boy up. He has like big dreads, like six dreads in a black car, a four-door car. and his girlfriend and Ashley. She has like black curly hair, but she well she was coming down. I was like, "Oh my god, that boy has a gun." But I didn't know that he had done the shooting yet until he came back. Then he tried to run the boy over on the bicycle and went back there and did some more shooting, I think, and then wrecked and he's got his all his back windshield busted out. Okay. >> And then he went on that first block and turned that way. >> Okay. So previously, so this this black guy and his girlfriend were beating somebody up or was he getting beat up? >> Uh the boy was getting beat up seconds, too. >> Okay. So who do you know who was beating him up? >> No, I don't know. Nobody. >> Okay. Okay. So this black guy with the >> dreads that way for Ashley cuz she >> Okay. Cuz she you saw her go down there. >> Somebody pulled a pistol on me in here and we got >> a case on it. Gotcha. So you saw her and you're like, "What is she doing here?" >> Right. So, I went walking down to the park. >> Uhhuh. >> And then her and the girl and and the black boy that did the shooting got out of the same black car. And then she hit me twice >> and the girl >> the girl >> or Ashley did. >> Both of them did. >> Okay. So, so Ashley and this dude's girlfriend >> both punched you. >> Okay. >> Daisy Duke Schwarz and she's in the black car with the boy that had the gun. >> What kind of car was Ashley in? They were in that black car that the boy that shot was. >> Okay. So Ashley, the chick with the curly hair chick, and then the guy with the dreads all came in the same car. >> Yeah. All in the same car. >> Where did they where did Ashley hit you? >> I mean, I don't know. They was hitting me and everybody was out, you know. I was trying to get to the car. >> Okay. Did they when you walked over there, they just stop what they were doing and come over to you? How did >> I black boy? Yeah. >> Okay. So, how did you get involved in getting beat up if you're just walking down there? >> How did you get involved with you getting hit? If you're just walking kind of came out of the car and then the girl came out hollering and there was people on the end and like everybody I was not even even if I did drink, I wasn't down there causing problems. >> That's fair. You're over 21. I'm not going to flip out on it. >> Was it males? Females? >> Yeah, there was males like >> all males. Six males beating this guy with the dreads up. Okay. After Ashley and the curlyhaired lady hit you, >> was it just a bop bop bop and then they just left or >> they sat down there right in front of the stoop at the picnic table? Okay. I had to walk back by myself. >> Okay. How did they end up stop hitting you? Did you fight back or is it just kind of a >> They was beating the boy's ass, the black boys butt >> and then it it wasn't really our beef, you know, like I think the beef. So the the the guy with the dreads when he pulled out the gun, what kind of gun was it? >> I just heard the noise. I didn't >> Okay. You didn't see it? >> I was already coming back this way. I didn't really see him, but he was like saying he was going to pull it. >> Okay. So, he's making statements. Okay. So, when he left the first time after the couple shots fired was Ashley and the curly hair chick in the car with him. So, there was those two females >> and him and he was driving. >> All right. >> He's maintenance guy over here. He says there's some sort of maintenance emergency at building 17. >> He sees a group of of black males uh in that area. >> He says fight. He says literally fighting, arguing over drugs and okay jumping on the one dude that she said over. He's walk he's going to his his job and he says hey you guys need to stop. >> We have kids around here like cut this [ __ ] out. >> He gets told by some white lady driving a red Charger, hey like mind your business. It's their problem. Whatever. Whatever. Right. Um there's a black male in in blue shorts, no shirt dreads. Um he's driving like a it looked like a black Toyota Yarus, like a smaller sedan. Um he says this guy uh tells him, "Shut the up you mother Mexican." Drives at him about 50 miles an hour and points a gun. What he thought was a gun. Never seen it. Never saw but he was here that he was going to die. >> Did he throw a bottle at the park? >> He did. Yes, he did. He said he was pissed off. >> That's fine. Does he know what happened when he threw the bottle at the car? >> Yeah. >> Like 100%. Even while we were out >> like in there. I'm not in the mood to get ate bye by a spider today. I'm not seeing any. >> I think that's all paint. >> Yeah. >> And just like normal concrete defect and 124 >> maybe, but >> that's the only one that seems like But it could be in these little pockets in the paint chips, you know. >> Yeah, cuz you got you got all this cuz I got like I don't know. That's all been painted over. That's been painted over. Everybody's safe. All right. The main aggressor is in custody. So >> yeah, I just wanted to know what they had to do with it because they need to get their acts together in front of my kids. >> Yep. No, I agree with that. I'm going to go put food. >> And she needs to stop drinking in public. I saw her passed out on the ground the other day. >> Red shirt. >> The other one the short one that's screaming at me. >> We are uh now headed over to the traffic stop that the first officers had >> uh with the potential suspect to the shooting. Um they are taking him to jail already. So we're going to go help out with the remainder portion of that uh traffic stop. So that uh car stop, the individual that was potentially shooting um turns out he was not shooting anything, but he did end up going to jail and probably going to impound that car and just document the rest of the fiasco and see what comes of it. He was uh reported to be trying to run somebody over with his car and uh that individual threw a bottle at his window and broke out the window. >> So he's that individual is going to go to jail for aggravated assault and be booked in. the history of those that apartment complex, there is a lot of violent crime and a lot of uncooperation and crowds that form. And so now when we have any type of violent crime that is reported, we show up with more officers to maintain officer safety and to make sure that nothing else escalates even more than it already has been. >> So yeah, we're on a on our way to a DV call. Uh wife is calling in saying uh she has a PFS against the husband. Uh she was out grabbing her mail and he drove by. Um she's now wanting officers to go out and check it out. And um we're going to go and see what we can find out. >> Let's see if she's just on foot or gray GMC Acadia. right there. Hello. What's going on today? >> Uh, so I have a PFS against my ex-husband and I was checking my mail when I was getting home. Right now, all three kids are in the car. >> And as I get in the car, I look to my left and he's driving by me in my neighborhood. So, >> Okay. >> And I have a copy of the PFS as well. >> Okay. And do you know a phone number for him? >> I do not. >> Okay. And where's he living? >> I have no idea. >> Okay. Um, do you have the paperwork with you? >> I have it on my phone. I can send >> Do you mind taking a picture of that and checking with Sheriff Records? Do you know if he's been served with it at all? Okay. >> Um, so we'll get all that verified. Um, do you have any like cameras on your house or video footage from your phone showing that he was driving past? >> I can check. I didn't even check, but I can check >> because for right now with him driving past your house, I'm not calling you a liar at all, but we got to have evidence for um there to for him to be um violating that. Yeah. >> Um, so it's always good to have your phone out and recording. >> Um, or even having those cameras up and recording. >> I do have I hope cuz sometimes it tracks, sometimes it doesn't, but I can definitely check. >> Okay. What kind of car does he drive? >> He doesn't have a car. >> Oh, what was he? >> He's on a bike. >> Oh, so he was riding? >> Yeah, on a literal bike. >> Okay. Did he say anything to you? >> No, we made eye contact, but then I >> Okay. >> turned around. >> Didn't make any contact with you. didn't make any hand gestures, anything like that. Okay. >> Um >> but it's a culde-sac neighborhood. >> Yeah. Yeah, I've been back there. >> Yeah. >> Um Okay. He hasn't contacted you on your phone at all or anything. Okay. Um I'll write a suspect case, a violation of a district court order, and kind of just go from there. Do you are you guys supposed to be going to court anytime soon? >> Uh we already went. >> Okay. >> Everything's finalized. I mean, we had divorce court and he didn't show up. So, he has no visitation right now. So that's the only reason why I could think he'd be up here is to try to see them, but he legally cannot right now. >> Yeah, he and he should know that. >> He should still be documented, obviously. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Okay. Let me go talk to her just a little bit more. So that that is verified. Um is there anything on there that says what he can and can't do? um >> like how far you can be or >> nothing was specified I don't think in this in any of the documents >> and I wasn't told anything specific. >> Okay. So this says uh defendant shall not enter or come on or around the premises, the residence or the property or the school. So I guess that would be >> Yeah. Because to pass to where I was when I saw him, you have to pass my house to get to the mail office. >> Did you end up getting any video on it or anything? Okay. >> Um, so like I said, I'm going to I got a case number right here that I'll provide you with. >> So when you whenever you do go to court, you have to go to court, just provide them this. You also have this case for it. >> Um, >> I'm going to write a suspect case. >> I knew I should have taken a picture of >> video is also good, too. Um, it really helps. Um, because I mean someone can file a PFA or PFS against someone. Um, but if you don't have that evidence, people can just >> say I wasn't there. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Of course, >> we can also drive through the neighborhood just to make sure he's not over there. >> You guys wouldn't mind. >> Um, we can do that and then uh then we'll get out of here. Okay. If you have any other questions or concerns, just don't hesitate to give us a call. Okay. >> Awesome. Thank you guys. Yeah, [clears throat] I'm not really seeing anyone that fits that description. more um with a pink bike. Uh so yeah, I made contact with the wife. Um she advised me that there was a PFA PFS active. Um we verified that through our records department. um she never really had any evidence like so video footage or um video footage or photos to provide to me that to show that he was there. So I'm just going to write a it's more or less a suspect case of a um violation of a district court order and kind of go from there. Um writing those cases kind of can help the defendant later on during uh court cases or court hearings um while they go to court. So checked the area. Um couldn't locate him and that was pretty much about it. >> Uh I'm officer Van Wishaw Police Department. Uh my partner, Officer Albert, and I are riding together today. Um it makes a difference between uh call times and response times. We don't have to wait for a secondary officer to arrive on scene. Right now, we're in route to a check for wanted person or a check 32 in the area of my patrol area. Um, this guy has a felony warrant. He has a felony pickup and also a warrant from an outside jurisdiction. So, we're going to try to attempt to contact him today. If we do contact him, we'll place him into custody and >> question him for that felony pickup as well. >> Right there. >> Which one? >> Can I stand up front there? Yep. >> Hey sir, is David home? >> No, he's still at work. Do you know what time he gets home? >> No, that's what I've been waiting on. >> You've been waiting on him? Are you son? >> Yeah. >> Okay. We're here about to >> Yeah, I know you guys were here earlier, too. >> Okay. >> Yeah, I got a card to get to him. >> You got a what? >> Card to get to him for the detective. >> A card. >> Okay. >> Another cop came. >> Do you know what their name was or if you have that card? Yeah. >> Uh, no. I could go get >> Yeah, that'd be great. Oh, officer Gorlock. Got it. Okay. Um, where does your dad work at? >> Just with the neighbor. >> Oh, like a >> It's not like a normal 9 to5 or anything like that. Just he went to work today with the neighbor. >> Okay. Like a little side job. >> Yeah. Yeah, basically. >> Which which neighbor? >> The brick house right there, Josh. The one that's what, three doors down? >> Yeah. >> Gotcha. Okay. You don't know what time they're going to be back? No. >> Do you have his phone number? >> No, he doesn't have a number. >> Gotcha. Okay. Well, if he does come back, Officer Golok's great. Um, but he's left work for the evening. So, >> yeah. If if dad comes back, please let us know. There's a couple things we got to take care of. Um, including the issue that happened a little while ago. But >> yeah, if he comes back, you can text 911 or you can call us or anything like that and we'll we'll come over here and speak to him. Okay. >> All right. >> Thank you. >> Have a good one. >> You too. Uh we made contact with his adult son at the residence. He was saying that his father wasn't home. He was working a side job with a neighbor and he wasn't sure what time he was going to be home. He did say another officer had contacted him earlier in the day um again when the father was already gone and that officer handed him a business card to be contacted at. That officer works for a specialty unit on our department called Divert. They work mainly with uh domestic violence cases. So they go track down the people that have warrants or have felony or misdemeanor pickups. Um, but as of right now, we do not know where the subject is at, and we will try again at a later date. >> Oh, he's going out. We're just stopping this truck. I thought he had no brake lights. He only has one working out of the three though, so I'll let him know about that. South 700. >> Hey, that' be just >> camera, huh? >> He's just doing a documentary with me today. Yeah. So, uh, I did thought you when you stopped, I thought you didn't have any brake lights, but when I came out behind you, I see you only have one working on your driver's side. The other two are out. So, just so you're aware of those. Um, everything valid with your truck and your license and all that? >> Yep. >> Perfect. Can I see your ID real quick, sir? You live here? You just passing through town? >> I live here. >> We're at Nevada Treasure. >> Okay, gotcha. You drive truck still? >> Yeah. >> So, okay. Gotcha. I was wondering the senior center to run around seniors today. >> Oh, okay. Gotcha. Cool. Let me just log your license in. I'm going to give you a warning for the brake lights. Um, just get them fixed when you can. So, give me one second. >> Appreciate it. >> All right. Be right back. >> There you are, sir. >> Okay. You know, when you do a pre-trip, that's one thing you can't check on your own. >> The brake lights. Yeah. That sucks, doesn't it? >> I know. Unless you got like a mirror or something, the reflection. So, >> or you're backed up against at night time against the wall. >> Against the wall. Yeah. Yeah. >> That's how I used to do it in the semiis. >> Mhm. >> Back up against the wall. Okay. >> Check the lights. Right. Right. >> Okay. Well, thank you. No problem. Have a blessed day. >> You too. Take care. >> Thank you. >> So, we're going to do a welfare check on a child. Um, somebody called in anonymously saying that they're concerned for the welfare of the child because they heard from somebody that they the mom was doing illegal narcotics in the vicinity of um her child. Um, so we're just going to go talk to them, see if what's going on, see if any of these allegations are true. Sheriff's office. Hello. >> Is April here? >> She was inside. >> She was? >> Yeah. >> Oh, hi. Hi. Are you April? >> Hi. So, somebody called in a welfare check on your kid. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. It's anonymous. >> Okay. That's She's having asthma problems right now. >> Okay. So ultimately I went and did the welfare check. Looks like the kid is having some sort of uh medical issue. Uh she's going to be taken to the hospital. Nothing looked like it was life-threatening. Um so I didn't see any drug paraphernalia anywhere or any signs of narcotics use at all inside that house. So I'll be calling the RP and letting her know and we'll be clear from there. There's a call stating from a neighbor that uh a woman is causing a scene at this individual's home, stating that apparently his wife is cheating on or cheating with her husband. So, she's there to I guess confront the wife. Not sure, but apparently the people that she wants to confront is at a ball game. So, we're going to see what's going on. >> 7:29 10:23. I'm making negative contact with anybody at the house. Let's check around and see. Maybe she realized that no one was home. Hey, baby. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You're good. Was not expecting that. Not from that puppy. Is that the car that we passed earlier with that guy driving it? It went up that way. Huh. Don't know. [laughter] Don't know if that's a neighbor or her. Yeah. Nothing. 729. I made negative contact. The residence is secure. You can show both units. Send eight. So, made contact with the house. Checked it. Made negative contact. So hopefully she doesn't come back when they're actually home. We'll see. Uh right now we're just at a call. Um I guess this lady owns this lake back here. Um she's told people multiple times not to come back here and fish. Um so we're going to drive around to the other side so we can access the lake. Uh and let them know that they just need to leave the property. Um, I think the main thing she's concerned about is liability. If they were to get hurt or drown or anything since they own the property, you know, they would be the ones to get sued or anything like that. Nobody. It's not like we had people fishing party. >> Mhm. >> You know, so it's not her pond. >> She has no problem with like us fishing in it. These boys came and asked permission. >> I said, "That's okay." And I said, "I need you need to stay in my backyard." She was like, "Oh, the jerk is clean." I said, "Well, if it's your pond, you should be keeping the bank and [snorts] bless her soul. I don't know. >> I get it. Like I said, at this point, it's a civil issue cuz I can't I don't definitively know legally where the property lines is. I know she says she owns a pond. Yes, the property lines out there. I don't know. I was just coming to see what was going on. >> No, she's bored. >> And um so I can't make y'all stop. >> Okay. >> Hold on. Got a whole mess of fishing line, don't you? Yeah, it's [laughter] it's we just got it too. This one's theirs, but that one we just got. >> There we go. >> Two different >> My fault. >> Okay, >> it's getting the line off you, buddy. Got you. >> There's four. >> Straighten out. >> I think y'all at the point where y'all just cut it and be better. >> Y almost just going to cut it and be better. >> I I agree. Restart, >> bro. Just cut this off. >> That's why I said cut off. Keep as much as you can. >> I don't know where that is. I can take >> you some fishing line on you. >> Yeah. >> So, at the end of the day, this one's uh all civil. Um until she can prove that she owns the pond, we can't tell them to stop. I mean, it backs up to their yard. It's not like they're trespassing or anything cuz they're on their own property. Um, so she's going to have to do some sort of verification that uh she owns the property before we can make anybody actually stop fishing or leave or anything like that. >> Like I said, at this point, they're not they're not trespassing cuz they own this house and that's their backyard. So, >> I don't think she's going to be happy with our answer. >> I don't think so either, but >> we're going to go back over to the complainant's residence and let her know. 743. Show me code five CCSO inside. Hey. >> Hey. Stay with him. Stay with him. >> I didn't do nothing. I didn't do nothing. I give you my identification. >> All right, that's fine. I don't know what's going on or what happened. I was just I was just driving. >> That's fine. >> 743. They got one running towards 21. >> How about for me? You just going to be detained. Throw your hands up there. >> I can't. Can you get my ID first? >> Can you take my ID before you detain me? >> Can you give me my ID before you? >> Look. Give me a second. Okay. I will check your ID. Keep your hand up there. You mind holding him? I'm going be on the road. >> You understand with him? >> I don't know what happened. What happened? >> Say be quiet. >> I'm going to explain everything to y'all. >> What did he take off running for? >> I don't know why he's running, bro. >> What is he running for? >> Yeah, >> it's his birthday. I thought it was What the happened, bro? Y'all put y'all good. But what happened, bro? Now, >> we being detained or arrested. >> You're being detained. As far as I'm concern, >> we didn't run. Look, what did Look at this. We didn't do nothing. >> You listen now. Y'all are in cuffs, but that don't mean you're going to jail. >> I know it's detained. What's going on? Investigation. I get it. >> Right. >> Why the he run? That's what I'm saying. What the is he running for? >> Like, what the do he like what the like what what's going on? I'm trying to figure out why you ran. >> I need you to stand with them cuz Elkins is needing me. >> Where? >> Elkins is blowing me up telling me to come on. I need you to stand with them. We had an agency assist earlier for a individuals that were trying to purchase vehicles fraudulently and um they took off before we could get there. Then they came back around and uh they got out with them and >> we have one running shirt >> and uh the other officer that is at the >> at the uh auto dealership >> is uh we copy that closing description >> possibly getting into a fight with them. >> Like a black male, gray shirt, simple black male, gray zip-up hoodie, jacket, khaki pants, brown boots. Simple 73. I'm division 451 here back towards Barry and Miller Street 729. I'm at Barry and Mson. Go ahead. There's nobody bothers you. Somebody entered the woods off Rose Avenue right where Maple Street meets Rose. It's going to be on the west side of the woods. He entered the woods right there. Behind the armory is where he was headed. That was his direction of travel. the woods behind the National Lord Armory. So, right now I'm I'm holding right here. Uh county deputies are to my left and they're going to clear up and over to me. We got aviation up in the air uh looking. Supposedly the individual is going to be in the woods back here and I'm going to assume with the surrounding everything he's laid down somewhere. So, if we move slowly, we won't have any type of crossfire and we won't think that the other person is the one we're looking for. So, right now, I haven't gotten any word if they've seen anything uh or any type of movement from aviation or from anybody else that's on the ground. But we do have a is that an abandoned trailer? Deputies are coming to my left right now. Behind you guys. >> I hear you. I think they're going inside that abandoned house to my left. I can hear some movement inside of it. Sounds like there might be someone in front looking too. That's south of me. Heat. Heat. They're coming out the side of that house on the left. Nothing in that fence. Yeah, I just checked that. Then I was going to come out this way. I was just following you guys up. >> They do. Sweet. And just let you know this is covered in poison ivy. There's sticker bushes all through this. I don't see anything. We got paint on all the way. >> Yeah, good deal. So, all we have is a black male and gray shirt, huh? >> So, did two run? >> It was two. >> And they both ran this in the same direction. >> I'm not sure where exactly. >> Okay. So, right now I'm going to go get my cell phone cuz I didn't grab it. Uh we have a group and also a shift group that we all communicate with and most likely we'll have more information in there. [clears throat] But we got three guys here where I'm at. So we're going to move a little bit farther down over here. He might be in Don Lee. Okay. The other guys are detained at the auto place. Uh, there's a white male walking into the perimeter with a backpack by Don Lee. He has an orange shirt on. He probably shed the jacket. And that's probably the white male that's coming down this way. Don Lee is over there. So, County just came by. Um they're letting us know that they're deploying the dog and uh they're going to be heading in our direction. So, if we start hearing noise, then it's either going to be the dog and other officers or it's going to be the individual that's running. And I believe it's a bite dog, so we'll see. So, County deployed the dog. Um, we waited around to see if uh he might come out. Um, our helicopter left the scene in hopes that if the individual didn't uh hear the helicopter up above that he might get up and start moving. Um, but he didn't. So, we waited for, I believe, another 30 minutes and then our sergeant let us know to uh go back in service and I don't believe that we ever found the individual, but hopefully we can identify him later on and uh charge him for uh running from us and trying to do some [music] fraudulent charges at a a business. Yeah. [music] Heat.
