some managers run a tight ship these ones however ran straight into trouble here are five cases when dumb managers get arrested at work number five gas station manager busted for stealing over $110,000 a manager at a Florida Wawa gas station finds herself in serious trouble after an internal audit discovers over $10,000 missing from the company's deposits officers receive a call reporting discrepancies in the cash handling process offic here yeah who's he who's he talking to right now the employee employee yeah okay okay so what's what's happening um the associate in there uh did an interview over today I got an alert from our Treasury Department in corporate that uh we had a deposit that was short almost $5,000 okay on the 10th of July okay um I got that notification around uh August 4th and then as I started looking at it uh other shortages started coming in after that date but not that large uh and then the last shortage that was reported was on 87 so there's a total of one two three four seven deposit variances totaling 9,555 okay um with the first shortage that was it was substantial 4,775 okay what made it pinpoint to one of the employees well um when I pulled the video and watch the the managers do a daily cash process where they go out to the eaves where you see the associates they can't hear us from right here right yeah they can what one they can't hear us from right yeah [Music] maybe so they come out in the morning and they get the canisters out of the East that are by each register and there's also canister inside that Lottery kiosk that has the C customers purchase the supervisor provides further details about the manager's theft and explains how she managed to execute the crime um there was uh the amount of the shortage the 4775 was the exact amount of two of those to the dollar and then when I watched the video of Ashley the day that uh she was doing the pickup in the morning you can see her open that's drop safe and there's a stack of cash like that big she has her back backpack on top of the safe that she's supposed to put the money in and spin it and it drops down so no one can get it after that she doesn't spin it you can see motion by the backpack but the video's not great you can't see her actually so you can't really see her actually like yeah does does the video have clear concise that she put that even though I know it sounds like her dring I have clear SI that shows that she's uh um placed it into her like it it would been 100% that that was her she placed it into cuz I'll let you know what's what might happen today like depending depending on what she's right now it could be a case that might not get arrested today you file after file capus which will depending on like is this going to be sent to a detective uh detective would have to do their investigation like unless she's aditt to some of the stuff that she do yeah I think she is is she yeah okay and then then we can might do but it all depends on um because we we need to have like for 100% proof that she was the one that's know yeah even the other dates well there's one day where the video you can see and it's one I think $910 was missing and there was an efe that was $910 that's going to be in that room when they when they start counting the yeah yeah yeah yeah they bring the canisters into that room that's where the where you me were at that room next yeah where he's in there it's also revealed that instead of spinning the safe's mechanism to lock the cash she appears to move the money into her backpack taking advantage of her position to make it disappear without immediate detection um you can see that she has the cash she puts it in the drop slot but you she doesn't spin it all the way and you can see on camera the money is still in there and then she has her backpack and you see motion and she takes the bag away and now you don't see the cash on the slot anymore and then on it's always been withing that stuff yeah and then on some of the other shortages that um I saw that she wasn't the one doing the cash processes that day it was either the store manager or the assistant manager here but what somebody do they can go into there and take money out of that canister in there of the uh the lottery machine yeah and then whoever picks it up the next morning for the cash processes they don't count it at all they don't do a physical count they just take it and put it into the shape you have a video of that I've heard going in there at like 1:30 2: in the morning so all the incidents that happened where it lines up to the video day in time that yeah she's going in there for no reason there's no reason for her to go in there at all I've got the print outs of the lottery activity report that has the exact time stamp matches up to the video it's all we can actually go right now so so didove it yeah I think so yeah you guys will have this this I didn't have video any longer to review okay um but I had her initial she admitted that she took on these dates oh she told you yeah and then I initial buy deposit I took cash right and that's she said she stole or she like yeah that I took cash from she gave me a full purple and written confession okay the scheme continues for several weeks with seven deposit variances totaling 9,555 the largest single descrip rancy is $477 matching the exact amount from two cash canisters all right uh would you be able to pull up your uh information real quick please for the uh jump drive so we can I already have it on my desktop this Excel file is on that thumb drive okay this has all the dates what was reported what the bank deposit should have been what the bank counted in the variances by day but like I said I didn't have video for I just if I just want to see the video part at this point so we have like it's not that I don't believe you is just cross t. eyes you know what I mean no no I get it um yeah this is the day I just told you B where she put the money in okay and you can still see it there yeah and then she puts her backpack there you want me just stand talk real quick so someone's with confronted with the evidence the manager confesses to the theft oh I needed to check something okay how long you been Appo here like two and a half years two and a half years okay and the other officer uh read you the Miranda Rights right so you understood your rights okay what was your uh previous job uh Disney Disney okay but this is like the first time overall has anything like this happened not at Disney or anything like that no okay was there any uh reason or anything like that okay did you did explain to the other officer I didn't talk to him about that okay would you say it was more of a desperate type of thing okay there's a lot of things going on in the household that you just falling through was there like at least like you know late on is it like late on bills or she explains that Financial struggles and the challenges of being a single mother drove her actions while the reasons may have some sympathy her actions lead to legal consequences was there any point that you wanted to seek for help yeah I apply for like assistance and like they G I have a a safe mhm when they gave when I did that they gave me a card with information so it's just want to go do you have like any type of food stamps or anything or they just gave them to me they just gave them to you okay but they wouldn't give me any um cash assistance cash okay did you have like a set goal or anything like that um how much you wanted to take out or I I was it I wasn't keeping track it's a mistake it's a it's a bump you know we learn from mistakes right hopefully this would be like that big that like we can't be doing stuff like that we got to find some alternate ways like the better way to do things you know and sometimes if you feel like you're in a in a road where you in a Crossroads where you feel like you can't do anything else you know you can still call law enforcement or you can call like anybody just to talk to and then see if there's any type of things that can help you out you know there's there's a bunch of churches that you know you would have to talk with and let them know your situations they can would set up like a a go funding or whatever it is right there's actually a place um it's called the red suit suitcase project our red Su Cate Ministry um and they do exactly that helping single mother so at a time of need and what they do is they do whatever they can to assist you in what what assistance that you need and need help with okay despite her crime the officer shows understanding and compassion even providing resources to help her get the support she needs if if you want I can write down it and then give it to you and so you can like you can look it up and stuff like that for later on okay but just uh I'll say what you could do is just think really hard and clear before you end up wanting to make um where you feel like it be something that will take you in the wrong path okay I mean at least I'll say it shows me that you have character that you're admitting to things like this okay and it shows and it shows me the character that you are that you're meeting and you're you're you know taking action of your own you know mistakes okay and that's something to you know like I said I know it's a huge mistake that what you did but you're you're owning up to it okay there's other people in that situation that make that make things way harder than it should be and get caught up into the you know wrong type of situation you know what I mean but you're actually taking ownership and you know uh it's and I respect you for that at least that you're you're doing that okay it's hard it's a in court Luhan is found guilty of two felony charges aing a felon and intimidating a witness in December 2021 Luhan was sentenced to 3 years in prison number three inappropriate behavior lands manager in handcuffs at a movie theater in Georgia a manager crosses the line and faces serious consequences on March 31st 2023 police receive a call from a father reporting that his teenage daughter has been assaulted by her manager at work officers arrive on the scene and begin their investigation he came walking out and um I went and got in his face and was like you know I know what you did or whatever and I called the cops and um he's like what do you mean and I just I I left and uh yeah he he should still he was right down there if you go in to the right let me go see if I can find him what's going on so she was cleaning The Brak room or something came up and grab yes sir hey man so what what's going on I don't know sir because that that girl is working at the what do you call break room I gave her the job to clean the break room and after 20 minutes also she didn't came out right she went there with the broom and the dust band right then I went there then I check she's playing with the mobile then I charge her why what you are doing here now it is already 20 minutes but you didn't clean up and come out because lot of not only the clean the floor and clean the uh what do you call table toop and they have to mop also but then I charge her what you are doing here then she asked me okay may I go to the toilet then okay then I let her to go to the toilet then that's all I don't know after that then his her father came and charged me you have char touch my daughter what what when you say charge what do you mean by that that mean I asked her why you what you doing here so much adamantly denies the accusations claiming he's being unfairly targeted but will his story hold up once the surveillance footage is reviewed let's find out and she was cleaning the break room uh-huh if happened so I know that's your baby girl so let's stay cool okay um in the video he does come in the room he walks up to her he kind of puts his hand close to her lower back and then he grabs her face and tries to lean in the kitchen he he's definitely going for the sexual battery okay the manager is charged with felony sexual assault and tampering with evidence due to his false claims about the cameras he's taken into custody and later released on a $2,400 bond but the case remains open number two gas station manager caught embezzling $122,000 a manager at a Murphy USA gas station in Florida has caught mismanaging and stealing company funds leading to a significant investigation the incident comes to light when a company audit reveals over $112,000 missing from deposits the lead manager contacts authorities after noticing the losses we were at a meeting last week and she comes up and says hey I processed the deposit but I forgot to take it to the bank I called my supervisor and she says she can't find him so I said okay well let's dig into it let's look at the cameras well the cameras just happen to be down not of they're doing well yeah just it just it was there was a the tech actually scre it up just happened to be there of course that yeah that that one day yep so I go and she we're at this meeting together in Savannah I talk to her she's like no I did it but I didn't put it back in the safe like I'm supposed to I just shoved it in this backpack that we use on top I go well okay so I interview her other employees that were here that they over the phone like hey we didn't do it well we get a report from our office saying hey the previous day hasn't gotten to the bank in either okay so I come up here today with the DM and we start talking to her and she finally confesses hey I stole the deposit but I used it to pay back another deposit I lost five weeks ago her claim is she's been floating deposit so she steals today to pay for yesterday's okay and she's been kind of doing this all along except she's gotten behind huh so of course she never told anybody she lost the initial deposit she never reported it cuz she was worried about her job this is what she's telling us unfort and so up to this point where she realizes she's Bost the thing about our camera system is it may have gone into safe mode which means it's still records but nobody can get into it we sent it back to the company to see it's doubtful but regardless I explained that to him and that's when she to her that's when she said okay I did take deposit oh by the way not did I take that one from the 15th I also took today's to cover to try to cover some of that one right but I haven't gotten both in there she brought back the original she went home and brought back the original deposit back the empty deposit back that she stole from the 15th as well as today's minus her method involves taking money from one day's deposit to cover shortages from previous days this cycle of mismanagement builds up over several weeks we still think we're missing the other one but with the banks being closed we can't verify it and she swear she dropped it off okay so on the 15th of this month correct last Wednesday there was a deposit that was never deposited and she admitted to that that she didn't take it when she was supposed to but doesn't stated she didn't know how it got lost she left it here no but nobody could find it okay and then deposit from today today was also Ming okay so so she so say she took so what she's saying is she took like today deposit to cover for the 15th correct deposit correct okay so I mean do you guys have the are you still waiting to see from the bank if you have the deposit for the 15 never went so that never went in either still not there okay and we know it's not there because she actually brought the paperwork back she I have an empty deposit bag that she filled out with the deposit slip and no money so it doesn't it doesn't even exist okay rest but I know right now for sure I'm missing all of the 14th and part of today's okay so two so the 14th or yeah two yeah sorry the 15th it's processed on the 15th it's for business day the 14th I got you so they come in the next morning process the deposit so the deposit is for the 14th that's when it was dropped off but they process it on the next day com and by the way this is all happening real fast normally I'd have this all written up for you and I can send you an email tonight that'll show you everything oh yeah no that would that would definitely that would that would help um and then today's or yesterday's deposit you're waiting as she was supposed to deliver today she took home so the 19th and 19th the evidence is clear with detailed deposit records and footage supporting the case against her but she brought that back but it is shy about $1,400 I believe I've got the act exactly okay so she brought back the deposit from yesterday oh yeah part of it part partial deposit minus $1,400 right with the paperwork and still in the deposit pag back yesterday I don't know what's going on this month but this is my third one just this month here or like I covered the whole East Coast oh okay but it's this is UN even at Christmas this is unusual they have three in a month yeah do you know how much the deposit was supposed to be for yesterday uh 30 I want to say it was 37 and change I have the exact numbers in there okay oh you know what actually took a picture sorry about that so the exact amount of yesterdays was 3778 and then the one for the the one that uh what's her name it's uh key e e h last name of her date of birth is 111 okay is she here today she's writing a statement for me okay so so she she's telling you guys that she missed a deposit on the 14th but then she was to go to the bank her husband's sick she went to the hospital forgot about it somebody broke in the and stole the deposit and then ever since then she's been using the next days to try to flp to cover so she's always going to be behind but she's trying to use the the day to cover the missing dat okay um the flaw in her story is other people work here and do the deposit rather than reporting the loss she starts using ing funds from subsequent deposits to cover the missing amount however this creates a compounding issue as she continues the practice without informing anyone so like over the weekend we had while she was gone we had another employee doing their deposits well they don't know what she's doing so they're just doing the normal daily deposit yeah she would she would have been missing that day that she didn't do it herself yeah that's where the whole and I'm letting her go with the story I haven't hit her with that yet but I was about to
