756 vehicle 51038 vehicle parking lot of Habitat Home and Health Hospice on 78. I'm going to check out this vehicle. It's sitting over here with its reverse lights on for a minute. Not really quite sure what they're doing. 756 28 is Georgia Romeo Whiskey Juliet 5206. Hello. Hey, what's going on? Oh, nothing. I was just getting ready to come over here and get some gas and wash I'm washing the clothes, but uh that's all. Okay, can you put the vehicle in park? Huh? Can you put the vehicle in park? Yeah, but it was moving and so then I I put it again. >> It's in reverse. Can you put it in park? Yeah. There we go. Okay. Do you have ID on you? Yeah. Where's your ID? I'm getting out. Well, okay, where is it at? It's back there in the back. In the back? Okay. Go and sit back. Where do you stay? I I I I stay in Atlanta, but 756 I came over here to wash my clothes. Go ahead. 1028 returns to a Mary Sims of Atlanta, 2017 Nissan Rogue, black in color, pretty negative. 10-4. So, why have you been sitting in the parking lot? Because I was because I See, I don't live over here anymore and I wasn't familiar with where it everything was there. The laundry mat. Hey, you've been sitting over here for a few minutes with the vehicle in reverse. That's okay. I'm uh Here, just have you step right back here for me and I'll get your information. Okay. Let me ask you this, why was your belt undone? Huh? Why was your pants undone? Oh. I just didn't have my button on. Okay. What's your name? Mary Lucille Sims. 756, who was the RA? Uh it was a Mary Lucille Sims. 10-4, run her. Have you been drinking? No, I don't even drink at all. Okay. No, I was just coming over here to wash clothes and get stuff. Okay. Uh you use any illegal narcotics, any medications? >> No. Well, how old are you? Uh I'm 55. 55? Mhm. Well, 65. 55 or 65? 65. 65, when were you born? Huh? 19 35. 35? 19 55. 55? Yeah. Okay. Okay. Are you lying to me about your name? No. It's Mary Lucille Sims. I promise. Okay, well, if you're born in 55, you would be about 75 years old, I think. Would be about right? 70? Mhm. But it Okay, didn't you say you were 65? Well, I I'm I'm 75. I just I'm going to have you lean up against my car for me, okay? Okay. Just lean up right here. There you go. You You can sit on it if you if you would like. That's fine. 756, is there a picture that comes back with her 27? 10-4. 10-4, can you send it to my PX? So, where are you staying out here? Mhm? Where are you staying out here? I'm staying I I I don't stay here. Do you stay in Atlanta? Yeah, but I my sister I was going to my sister's house. Where does she stay? She She stay in Atlanta. She stays in Atlanta? Where are you right now? I'm in uh I'm in Atlanta. You're in Atlanta right now? Okay. How long you've been driving? Not Today? Oh, I just came over here this morning. Came over here this morning? Okay. Do you Where you said you came over here, where'd you come? Well, I came from uh Douglasville. I mean I live in Douglasville. Uh I I live in Okay, so you came over here to Atlanta? Yeah. Okay, would you be shocked if I told you you're not in Atlanta? Well, I know I know this You know, I just I just did Atlanta. But I know it it's not Atlanta. Yeah. Yeah. Do you know you're not even in Georgia anymore? Excuse me? You're in Alabama. Huh? You're in Alabama. No, I never really been in Alabama. I know, but that's where you're at right now, sweetheart. >> Is this Alabama? Yes, ma'am. Oh, I didn't know that. That's why I'm trying to figure out what's going on. I didn't know this was Alabama. Mhm. Is this This place in Atlanta is Alabama now? Mhm. This is Oxford, Alabama. Uh how long have you been driving tonight? Just this Just this Just this this morning. Okay. 756 And you're out of Douglas County? Douglas County is where you live? Okay. If you could PX Douglas County, see if there's a missing person's report filed for this female. Uh she appears to be confused. She believes she's in Atlanta, Georgia right now. Also, she thinks she's 55. If you would go ahead and start RA's. Yep, that's you. How much gas do you have? About half a tank. Star Wars eyes. Her wallet's right there. What's in the boxes? Do you know? You A bunch of clothes? I'm going to have uh medical staff come out here and just check you out, okay? Um are you suffering from like dementia or anything like that? You never been diagnosed with that? Okay. My worry is that you're sitting in a vacant parking lot with a vehicle in reverse for a long period of time and then I pulled up behind you and you started going forward. I actually thought you were about to pull out onto the road and there's no way out right here. No, I was just getting ready to pull out anyway. Okay, but your your speech is kind of slurred and that may just be normal for you, but I don't know you. You know what I mean? >> normal for me. Okay, but you had no idea you were in Alabama, either and neither your age. >> all this was So, all this used to be Atlanta, so I thought it was Atlanta. It No, sweetheart, this has been Oxford, Alabama for 100 years. Oh. You have uh children? Yes. Okay. Uh they live in Atlanta with you? No. Where do they live? Florida. They live in Florida? Okay. Anybody stay at home with you? No. No? You married? No. Okay. All right. I just want to make sure you're okay, okay? >> I'm okay. Okay, well, I'm going to let them tell me you're okay, okay? We're going to talk to them, kind of give them a heads up of what we're dealing with. They're the medical professionals, but something's off. Hey. So, I've been sitting up there. She pulled in here and she's been sitting here for at least 5-10 minutes with a vehicle in reverse. So, uh she had started inching back and then stopped and then just sat there. So, we pulled down, got up behind her and I turned my takedown lights on and then she started pulling forward like she was going to go through the grass. I didn't know it was an elderly person. I thought they were about to run. But I get up there and it's elderly person. She's got slurred speech. She's not been drinking. Um She's not been doing drugs, nothing like that. I think she's got dementia or something, but she still thinks she's in Atlanta. When I asked her how old she was, she told me 55, then she told me 65, but she was born in 30 45, I think that's what she said, 55. More than 55. So, she'd be roughly 69, 70 years old. So, I don't know what's going on, but for obvious reasons, I got you guys out here to look at her. She's not like combative. No, no. She's very nice, very sweet, just very confused as to what's going on. I've got our dispatch trying to see if anybody's tried to file missing persons on her, but What's your name? Marilyn Wilson. What is it? >> Marilyn Wilson. Okay. Where are you headed? Well, I'm headed back I'm headed back on the Atlanta side now. Okay. >> But I came over here to wash clothes. Okay. Do you have family over here or anything? No, I have friends over here, but I don't have family. Okay. Do you have any medical problems? No. I can grab her phone. Yeah, I can grab it. Yeah, it's dead. She broke the She broke the charger off in it, and it's dead. Do you have anybody's phone number that you memorized that we might can call? You got it wrote down? Where's it wrote down at? Okay. Trying to give you a little light so you can see. Here's her purse. We're going to roll her windows up, and then we'll get lock it up, give her her keys. So, luckily paramedics were able to talk her into going to the hospital to be evaluated. I believe she's probably got some form of Alzheimer's considering her age and her just being as confused as she is, but they'll get her up to the hospital, get her checked out. Hopefully, prior to letting her go, they'll contact a family member and be able to get in touch with them and have them come down and maybe help her get home, but that's about all we can do for Uh we're going to a call at one of the apartments here in downtown of a man that has attempted to commit suicide because uh apparently demons or somebody is telling him to do it. So, we're about to pull up on the scene. 721 33. Hi. You good? 51. Okay, we have a description. We just had a white male walk off from here. He just left? He was in a black jacket. She had blood all over her. >> 721 33. 10-4. 729 same traffic. 10-4. Hey, put your hands behind your back. We're not going to do nothing. Bro, this Oh my god, it don't matter. This is for your safety. Tear it. Tear it. You good? >> [crying] >> Stop. Stop, all right. Pull Reeves, pull it off. Stop. That's That's not That's not 729, can we get our hands Yes, it is. No, it's not. Yes, it is. Yes, it Oh my god. 10-4, he's 10-26. >> Oh, they're about to execute me. No, we're not. 10-4. Let's set him Tear it, you're going to roll to me, okay? It's all right. Roll over. Sit up. It's burning. Please help me, sir. Tear it. Please help me, sir. He's got no mental health. We dealt with him. I don't have no mental health history. I don't care. Don't lie to those people. I don't care, man. Blood is burning. Hey, he has a He has a Please help me, sir. history of mental health. We dealt with him before. >> no mental health history. I don't care. Don't lie to those people. I don't care, man. We're putting that one in the portal. Did you just cut your Hey, hey, It's burning. Literally, it's Everything's good on this side. My head is burning. Did you just cut your left arm? It's burning. My head is burning. This head is burning. I have a crushed finger. It is burning. I'm not lying Whoa, the medics are here, okay? So, they'll let you check it. Oh my god. Oh my god. Hey, hey. Did you get that last I just applied for a job today, and every time I do something cuz I want to get married, they screw it up with me. We're going to stand you up, put you on a stretcher, okay? Please, sir, will you loosen this cuff, please? Can you loosen this cuff, please? I'm trying to be as cooperative as I can. My [clears throat] finger is hurting. >> [laughter] >> Can I have my gum, please? >> Yes, I'll get it for you. Yeah, we're going to get you some more, okay? You're hurting me. Can I have some water, please? 10-4. Can you get all the way up? All right. Okay, put your feet up here. Hey. Okay. Come on. Please, just take me down there and kill me, please. Please. How you doing? 10-4, 10-18. That's your fiance? Tear it, Reynolds, yes. Okay. Hang on. He's He's distraught, so I don't need you going up there like aggravating stuff, okay? Yes. Are you familiar with what's going on or anything like that? What can you tell us about him? Uh it's been like a while back. A month or some people laced him. So, it's been like we've been trying to just get him some help and stuff, and we've been back and forth to RMC, back forth, back forth. They said they didn't have no room. They couldn't help him. All of this like it's Does he take his It's his mental No, he don't take no medicine cuz he can't get into a doctor. So, he's not diagnosed with anything or anything like that? No. Hey, man, listen listen listen to me. If you will calm down for a few minutes, we'll get him off of you, okay? Well, um from prison time is that PTSD and schizophrenia. That's all I know. But I just want to make sure he's not in any trouble cuz he's scared. >> listen just calm calm down. It's going to be okay. Calm down, okay? Okay? >> She's mom? No, it's No, I'm his fiance. That's right. I don't know where he cut himself or what he did. There's no blood on this, but there's like three lacerations on his arm that are pretty deep. You can see the fat coming out of it. It's a mental thing. >> We're trying to get him help. Hopefully, y'all can cuz won't nobody It takes more than us, okay? Yes. So, it takes a lot of work on y'all's end. I I promise you I I took him >> and doing everything. I took him to uh back and forth to Highland Health. It's been a little while since he's had an episode. >> Yes. Yes, and that's because I'm a bipolar schizophrenic, and I've been giving him my medicine to help him and it's been doing great. But like I told him, you can only take my medicine for so long. His mama has tried to get him help. They keep denying her. >> Mama. >> Where did this happen at? Mama, wait. Over at her home. He he just he just It's like, y'all, it's like I don't know It's like people in >> Yes, that's it, basically. Like he he's when he's good, y'all, he's good. And when he's not, he's not. And I can't tell you how many times that man has taken it upon himself to walk up to RMC himself and asked them to give him some help. And he swears no one will help him because they keep denying him. And he's a good guy. Oh, Jesus Christ. Oh, Mother Mary. Oh, Abraham. I'm not playing. Do you want the cuffs off? Yeah. I don't know how to Do you want his cuffs off? Except for you crying and cuffs off. Hey, hey. I've I've dealt with him several times. He's never gave me issues. I mean, it's definitely a mental a mental problem. >> Yes, and I keep telling people that. And he so-called got all these damn friends, but y'all are not his friends. Y'all are not calling to check on him. See if he's okay or nothing. This man is going through it in real life. I keep telling people >> This real. I can't tell y'all how many times a 35-year-old man has tried to kill himself cuz won't nobody help him. Here. Nice. Uh-huh. They're really wet. I just ate too long left him, y'all, and he kept saying he said, "Man, I'm not feeling myself. I'm not feeling myself." And so I left to go get us something to eat and I'll be back in a few minutes. And it's literally that's how long it takes for him to snap. And it's crazy because he got so many people who say they're for him. They're not. Yeah. It's with mom. Yeah. Girlfriend. Girlfriend. Okay. Girl Oh. Can I get his wallet? He wants it and he wanted you to keep that. Okay. Okay. There you go. You want to look at it? He he going to RMC? What happened? Will I be able to to come over and see him like now right now cuz I know they got to do the paperwork cuz I've already been committed up here before, but will I be able to come see him in like You got to wait for them to call back. Wait for the ER to answer. Okay. You have to call Okay, but could you tell him that I love him and I will be up there, please? So, he left the apartment when I pulled up and Mom came out and let us know that he just left. And Officer Reeves caught him in a midsection street. Uh we got him detained and medics out to treat his slashes on his wrist. They were pretty deep. He's going to get transported to RMC and I'm coming back here to get statements from Mom and uh girlfriend. Um so, we spoke with Mom and girlfriend. Obviously, he has a history of mental health. Um with his lacerations, the medics uh wrapped it up and took him up to the local hospital in Anniston. And we're just going to document the situation to help the family get some mental health um evaluations done on him because of his temperament and anger and incontrollability of his own his own actions and emotions. So, uh hopefully he can get some help and the family can actually uh enjoy him cuz they said that he's a really nice guy up until he uh snaps out of it. So, hopefully this will help them. Uh we're heading Jonathan Mills all right yelling and shouting 746 1048. Up. 1084. 756. What's the description? Tall thin white male wearing pink or red shorts and a shirt. 1045 white male. We're in We're just before the church. Hey, what's going on, man? Hey, camera's lights came on actually when I walked through the door. Okay. >> 1046 1046. So, I just left Tri-County. Okay. Try it. Oh, that's a three. Mhm. Okay, excuse me. >> [snorts] >> Okay. Okay. I'm going to Uh the library's sorry. So, where am I going? No, I asked you what your social was. Okay. Uh 37 Last four digits. 756 1029. Do you got any warrants, Mr. Nathaniel? >> sir. I told you 1029. Social. Should return white male Jonathan Nathaniel. Um Okay. Mind if I pat you down real quick? >> Turn around. Do you have anything in your pockets? Don't reach into your pockets. Do you have anything in your pockets? >> Uh will you will you reach in there for me? Yes, I can. Do you have anything that's going to poke, stick, cut, hurt me in any way? >> I don't think so at all. Okay. When's the last time you used narcotics? Uh Hit somebody just >> really trying not to to a AA meeting. Okay, when's the last time you used narcotics? Uh All right. Huh? 1056 clear for 1018. 1040. I'm going to put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your Jonathan Nathaniel 1018 1018 1018. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Put your hand out. Stop resisting. >> Put your hand out from your body behind your back. Put your hand Nice catch, bud. Here. Let go of this one. Man, he's so slippery. All right, you done fighting and resisting? >> Fighting No, sir. I didn't mean to run. You done? 1018 1012 1012 756 1030. We're code four. 1026 white male. Be 1015. 1040. All right. Let's roll you over. 1040 copy. All right, we're going to sit you up. All right. Yeah. 756 He really didn't have anything 1040. Why you going to run? I didn't mean to run. I'm just I'm nervous. All right. Well, I knew that. >> You said that's when the last time I used drugs, correct? Yeah, that's what I asked you. Would you like to answer that question or not? I'll leave. Huh? Put your feet out in front of you. My hands or feet? Feet. There you go. Perfect. Cuz I want them to be able to look at you. >> Hold on. 1040. >> [panting] >> Well, I'm just trying to go to the library. Well, you're going to jail now. >> Jail, okay. For what? >> [snorts] >> Uh right there is obstructing you trying to flee on foot. Okay? Cuz I'm trying to detain you in handcuffs because you have a possible warrant and you're acting like you're high on drugs. No sir, I'm not. >> [panting and sighs] >> Okay, well, we can argue that later. I'm just searching stuff. Okay. Um, y'all mind sitting with him? I'm going to see if he dropped anything. No. Oh. It's all gum. Well, um get out with him. Uh, you could tell he's on something. Uh, he can't answer a question. Uh I'm not going to say correctly, but intelligently enough. Uh, you'd ask him something, he would give you a response to something completely different. Uh was going to detain him cuz our dispatch was coming across with the fact that he had a warrant. I wasn't sure if they were going to extradite on that warrant, but uh instead of him allowing us to put him in handcuffs, he decided that he was going to try to take off running. Luckily, it was only about, I don't know, 50 ft and we were able to get him on the ground and get him in handcuffs, so he'll be going to jail tonight for uh public intox and uh obstructing governmental operations. I'm trying to see if he actually uh when he saw us pulling around and he was standing over here, if he had anything, uh whether or not he threw it cuz it was probably pretty apparent to him that we were going to get out with him. I'm going to put I'm going to put a little bit of this on. Hey, Carruthers. Hey, I'll hold down the fort. You want some of that? I got some. Appreciate it. Okay. We'll let medics check him out real fast before we cart him down to the jail. Uh, it's just road burn from the hitting the ground with him. I didn't mean to run. I didn't mean to run. How the hell you not mean to run? Nothing else in your pants? All right, let's step over here. I've already gone through his pockets. >> Come on, we're going to walk over to this patrol car. Is it the loose? See. White residue. White. Buddy, what are you taking? I don't know. Awesome. Simple, simple, simple, simple. You're going to slide all the way across. Yeah, that's fine. Let's be real honest. Okay. I'm all about being real honest. Okay, thank you. Honestly. Okay. Okay, let's be real honest here. All right. That was a Thank you. You're welcome. Watch your foot. Let's be real honest, but I don't know what he wants to be honest about. All right, guys. I appreciate it. It was It was real fun. Um Let's do it again sometime. Yeah. That's right. [laughter] Um, so we had Oxford paramedics come out and check the subject out, treat his scrapes up on his knees and do a blood pressure check and heart rate check, make sure he's okay to be transported. Um they gave him the okay to go, so we're now transporting him to our jail and we'll get him booked in and back out on the road. >> [music]
