so right now we're still headed to our missing person over here in Clark County the call originated in Nye County there was information that the male had come into Clark County the call was given to Clark County Metro to come out and look for the mail they could not find the mail our captain was able to pick up a trail a cell phone and a trail of blood so we're headed out to his location right now to assist in the location of this mail it's unknown how far he is where he's at or if he even is still out here but we're gonna go give it a try and see we can find so our our policy here in Knight County requires that our fuel tanks never go below half so right now we were getting close to half I know we have a call we're going to right now that's going to take us out pretty far into Clark County into the desert I want to make sure that we have a full tank before we go out there just in case anything arises and we might you know get stuck or need our fuel [Music] okay right now we're on Sandy Valley Road um this is the dirt road that'll connect to pole line which is where the mail is last located so we're out here looking for the captains vehicle should be pretty easy to find once we hit a pole line what is uh if he had a vehicle accident out here in the desert they found his phone in a blood trail so they believe he's out here in the desert somewhere either alive or deceased but Clark County couldn't find him so we're we're looking for him right now so this is the vehicle that was believed to be driven by the missing person uh directly ahead of us about a mile and a half two miles is our counterparts uh we're gonna head out to them see what we can assist them with in uh tracking down this guy hang out they have drones I want to play them let's get them up drones they've got they've got a big one that'll last for about 45 minutes to an hour and then a smaller one need anything from me take Downs now try your Spotlight you know how to use it the heat seek yeah yep I got a little crash course on it so right now they're following a blood trail and footprints that seem to be going east Southeast so we're gonna get some drones up and Spotlight it so we're out here on this missing person off of Pole Line Road and Sandy Valley we've got a metro air unit on their way to us right now as well as a cadaver dog so we're gonna head out into the desert uh basically do a man by man search see if we can find this individual he may possibly still be alive he's only been missing for about approximately I believe 20 hours so hopefully we'll be able to find him and uh if not we'll have the cadaver dog and the air unit out here shortly to assist us we're getting our incident command set up which is basically a centralized area where we have a command center where all of our jurisdictions will be able to provide radio traffic in and out through each unit they're setting up approximately two miles north of us at the beginning of this road so they'll be able to relay any information through the people there to us out here in the field because sometimes our pack sets and our radios won't work because of the area we're in so they'll be able to get Transmissions to us if need be hey uh Ben if you want to go a little bit this way and just get my left 100 it is valid huh okay and Eric if you want to stay somewhere in between us yep so we'll look for the mail as we go back just in case we missed him kind of like a double clear they got the cadaver canine from Metro coming out right now so they'll be able to pick up that blood trail and and follow it to wherever he was last but so far nothing on that search we probably went about a mile nothing from it guys look it's Bigfoot no no no one left just me oh sweet son of a biscuit eater no I cactus those won't be my words if I find him I'll smell the blood and then go look for him okay Davidson 30 South 14 are there any k n units down there Choppers coming from Vegas they have flea or not night vision so it's heat oh no okay cool still sick are there drone School sign me up cap e school I'll take that any day of the week dude any day Sunday through Thursday only though might have any luck no no your dog apparently can't do anything because it's not a Tracker it's a sniffer is that right yeah if he followed that back and came this way we can Tammy today we we contaminated everything we drove up at so there's a good chance he could have started walking North off the trail or on the trail and we covered up his Footprints and we drove on it so he could be dead two miles down the road I don't think he the trail because he walked back and forth he if he would walk the trail he would have walked back and it would have been blood down the road but there wasn't it was just crossing the road my Common Sense would be walk back down the road to your car so the reason they want us out is they're sending the dogs in and they don't want us to continue crackers they're sniffers so they're just going to go after any human so they're gonna send him in as a bite with the command to just go find people so if I get bit by I'm shooting my truck so right now we're headed back to our unified command with uh Las Vegas Metro working they've got a team of canine sniffer dogs that are going to be coming up into the area and basically going over everything we went over uh the problem with us being in that area is there be they're basically going to be following any human sense so if he's still alive they're gonna pick up on human scent but they can't have us in the area because if we are the dogs will pick up on our scent so we have to vacate so they can release the dogs and hopefully if the male is alive the dogs will find him if not they've got a uh a chopper headed out to us that'll be able to basically survey the area a lot more effectively and faster than we can we're on a unified radio channel through our vehicle that'll pick up on all of the radio traffic from everyone on it they have Metro units us and the chopper so we'll be able to hear all of the uh the air traffic radio traffic and basically so that's them right now they're talking over the radio either so we'll just listen for them see if we can get any information from their traffic as well as ours they're really hard to understand they're coming in muffled and and static so I'll do my best to try and understand what they're saying so I can relay it to you guys so another thing when we're traveling off-road like this we've got perfect lighting but you know taking any rock at a at a wrong angle on the sidewall of the tire could very well just pop a tire um and that's never good out here in the middle of the desert thankfully we've got units all around us that'll be able to give us some Aid if that happens but generally when you do this enough you get pretty good at it I've been off-roading for many many years so it's it's fairly easy for me to visualize where I want to go and not [ __ ] up the truck in the process so basically right now what we just rolled up to is our Command Center this is where we have our Las Vegas Metro and US staged basically it's where our radio traffic's coming in and out as you can see up there we just got the chopper in from Las Vegas Metro they'll be doing their sweep now so hopefully we can get a location on this individual so kind of a conclusion to the missing person um he's in Clark County right now he's in their jurisdiction so it's a Las Vegas Metro report we still have a deputy out there on scene as a relay for any information they might need we cleared out a little bit ago um still on unknown where the individual is they have the Choppers out and the canines out looking for him right now I do know that the family of the missing persons on scene trying to assist in any way they can so or we're hoping for the best that they can find him hopefully live finding him deceased distilled closure for the family because at least they know he's you know they have his body so hoping for the best but it's been you know 20 24 plus hours since he's gone missing what the heat we had yesterday it's kind of hard to you know not be dehydrated and and struggling especially after this vehicle accident so we'll see what they what they have for us tomorrow zero zero thirty right now uh 12 30 a.m on the 10th we started our shift at 0700 on the 9th we're going on a about 19 hours I would say right now almost 20. on shift I've been awake for 22 hours it's definitely a long day so that's all from me for now the future holds a lot of good things here in Nye County so on to the next one little update on our missing person from about a week ago out in Sandy Valley the male managed to make it to Highway 160 where he hitched a ride to his relative's house in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department went out to the address tried to talk to the mail about what had happened he politely told them to [ __ ] off and they subsequently placed him on a legal 2000 hold for his you know attempted suicide and mental health he was taken out of the hospital and and uh yeah legal so little unexpected turn of events he somehow made it to the highway out in the desert after crashing his vehicle and bleeding so just to show you that people are pretty resilient even when they are trying to kill themselves
