SHOW ME YOUR HANDS RIGHT NOW. >> Friendship point of a new marathon on a Grand Infinity. Back up. [music] Back up. You get pulled over by [music] the cops, man. I don't even know what it is. >> We're heading over to Jacks uh close to downtown uh to back up Officer Carter. He's going to be out with a a black male wearing a pink tobogen. What the employees called and said was that they've asked him to leave a few times. More or less. He's just outright refusing to leave. Um told the call takers um >> that if they wanted him to leave, they had to call the police. So, we're going to step out over here with him. >> Prior to my arrival, negative 1065 unit. >> Uh so, before we even got there, Carter was able to talk to the gentleman. He left prior to our arrival. So, we're all going to go back in service. Before we move on, I [snorts] want to thank Aura for sponsoring this episode. He's got a headlight out, so we're going to pull him over and let him know, make sure he knows to get it fixed. Wait just a second just so he's got a better spot to pull over. All right. 736 1039 >> 1039 >> friendship pulling into the marathon on a gray infinity 28's going to be 61 alpha bravo Mike 51 >> hey how are I'm off to Mount Leash Police Department. >> Headlight. >> Yes, sir. >> I know. I I buy I buy one but doesn't work. I did buy one other doesn't work. >> Okay. That's weird. >> Does it work? >> I got you. Uh do you have insurance for the vehicle, sir? >> Just uh >> I'm not I'm not going to give you a ticket, just so you know. >> I I hope I can't find it. >> I'm not going to give you ticket for the uh the headlight at least. >> All right. Wonderful. All right. Do you have an upto-date card? I >> This one, >> the old one is >> Yeah, this one's from 2023. I'll place that in your seat there for you. Is it still through Alpha? >> It's so >> Okay. All right. You go ahead and keep looking for it. I'll be right back with you. All right. All right. So, he knew why we pulled him over. I didn't even have to say it. And uh he knew that it was for the headlight. He said that he had gotten one and he showed me it. He said just doesn't work. So, I wasn't planning on giving him a ticket for it regardless, but I'm glad to see that he's at least aware of it and is trying to actively fix it. Right now, he's looking for his insurance card. already hand me a card from back in 2023. So hopefully that's not the last time this vehicle's had insurance. His insurance is coming back confirmed through the computer. So he does have insurance. He just doesn't have an up-to-date card in his vehicle, which isn't the end of the world, but should be something that that you should keep handy. Whether it be like a screenshot >> returns of Oxford current. >> Like I was saying, it's not the end of the world that he doesn't have it in his vehicle. He should at least have a screenshot of it on his phone. That way he's always got it. Uh cuz we can always just double check on here. But sometimes you may have insurance and we may not be able to confirm it through here. So if you have proof of it, it's always better. But we'll give him a couple more minutes. See, he looks like he's still looking. I don't even Is that a gray infinity or is it in the black infinity? If you if you look at that little spoiler at the bottom, looks like where some dust has been wiped off and it looks black underneath. Looks like he was written a ticket back in March for uh improper license and an expired or sorry, improper lights and an expired license. So, looks like he's got his license fixed cuz this this is brand new. and uh he's trying to get his light fixed. So, you got a warning for the for the light. Sorry. Here's your license back. >> Yes. I got you the one from 24. >> So, I was able to confirm it through my computer. >> Yeah. Guess >> Yeah. So, it it came back confirmed that you do have insurance. So, there's no no problem there. Um, >> and I know you're trying to get your headlight fixed as well. So, again, no problem there. >> Um, I would recommend though, >> we're not always able to confirm your license or or your your insurance through our computers. >> So, sometimes when people do have insurance, >> we're not able to confirm it on our own side. So, we sometimes have to uh >> call to email me. >> Yeah. And if if you can >> Yeah, he will. just screenshot it and then you have a picture on your phone and we as long as we can just see the effective date of it, make sure that it's it's still good, that's all that matters. Doesn't matter if it's on a phone screen or a piece of paper. But >> thank you so much. >> Yes, sir. You have a you have a good rest of your night and be safe. All right. >> All right. You're free to go. 40 1045 19th in Minneapolis. Kansas 7113 Adam David Zebra on a gray Ford F-150. Hello, Officer Burkar, wish police department. The reason I stopped you is you forgot to turn your light on for almost a whole block. >> I honestly I was trying to do it so you didn't see everything else on the car. I didn't mean to. I was trying to find them. My in my car, they're here and I kept turning them on and it wasn't working. They're like, "That's not working, Antonia." I'm like, "I'm sorry. I'm trying to figure it out." So, I did not call them. I promise. >> Okay. You got a driver's license insurance for the vehicle? >> I don't even have I just went to take them up there to the gas station. Literally, I live right here. Like, I don't even have my stuff with me. I'm so sorry. Please. >> Okay. It's not in your wallet. >> No. See, this is a I had >> I promise. I just They just needed They wanted to get soda. >> Yeah. And whose vehicle is this? >> This is my cousins. >> Your cousins lives above me. >> Okay. You don't have any form of identification? I don't. I'm sorry. I literally I mean >> sir, do you have any ID? >> 16. >> You're 16? >> Yeah. Okay. >> My mom is the one who owns the car. She was just >> I promise you I didn't. >> And you don't have any ID on you? >> I don't have like a school ID. >> Nothing. >> I'm sorry. Please. I'm sorry. >> Okay. >> I really couldn't. >> How about you? No. Well, none of you guys have seat belts on. Why don't you have seat belts on? >> Cuz you're not right. >> I have seat belts, too. >> I know you do. >> Okay. I was like, wait, I do. Now you you do have a seat belt. >> I swear I could not find the lights. I kept asking. I'm like I literally am sorry. I could not find them. >> Okay, man. What is your first name? >> Ta. T O N I A. >> T O N I A. >> So what's your first name? >> It's what? >> For what? >> For what? >> Yeah. >> Well, if I need to write you a citation for not wearing a seat belt, I can. I'm sorry. >> What's your first name? Lilia. Spell it. >> E M I L I O. >> E M I. Sorry, my flashlight's E m I >> L I O. >> L I O. And then roll down your back window and then talk to him. Okay. Ch. What's up, bud? What's your first name? >> Nion. >> It's what? >> Nion. N I Y A N >> N >> I Y A N >> A N. So, right now I stopped the truck. Um they went over a block with no lights on. Driver extremely nervous and the two passengers aren't wearing seat belts. So 48 to a supervisor >> traffic stop on Minnesota vehicles legally parked driver suspended in 104 to NTA and release. Hey Tanya, real quick. Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. >> Go ahead and step out. I want just have a conversation with you. Okay. >> Absolutely. Absolutely. >> So, do you know your driver's license is suspended? >> No. >> No. >> Suspended? >> Yeah. >> Oh my. >> Okay. So, you're getting a citation, okay, for driving on suspended. It is a court date. It is an arrestable offense. Okay. You have a court hearing July 17th at 8:30 in the morning. Okay. >> So, I'm not taking you to jail tonight, >> but I could. Okay. This is your citation. I'm not put the the infraction of no headlights or anything like that on there. >> Sorry. >> So, cut you a little bit bit of a break. >> I didn't even know. >> How do you know these gentlemen in here? This is my nephew. >> Your nephew? >> Uhhuh. And that's his best friend. >> That's his best friend. >> Anything in the vehicle I need to know about? >> No. >> Nothing illegal? >> Absolutely not. Not that I know of. >> I just just borrowed it to drive here. I promise. >> Okay. >> I swear to it. >> Okay. >> Thank you so much. >> Uh what I will have you do is just pull a little bit closer to the curb >> and then call for a valid driver or park it and walk home. >> Absolutely. We can walk. We are not that far. >> So, we're like literally two blocks. >> Okay. Okay, >> you gentlemen, I'm going then give you guys verbal warnings. You need to start wearing seat belts. >> Okay, I could give you both a ticket for not wearing a seat belt. Okay, I'd rather be talking to you than have your head through the windshield if you get into an accident. You're putting your life on this person's hands. Okay, so just wear the seatelt. >> All right, you guys have any questions? All right. So, she's then get a valid driver or you guys will then walk home. Okay. She cannot drive. >> We're watching. >> So, all right. You have a better night. Okay. >> So, I found out why the driver was so nervous. Um her driver's license was suspended. So, she was issued a summon to appear in courts for driving on suspended. Um, the two passengers were given verbal warnings to wear their seat belts. Um, and she'll have her day in court. So, we're going to check on a suspicious character. Reports of a guy basically leaving a bag on the ground. Someone thought it was suspicious. He went into the McDonald's over here. So, we're going to flip around and go see if we can make contact with him. Um, said he might have some mental issues. So, we'll just make sure he doesn't need any police services and go from there. All right, we're just going to clear this north three, which means we didn't find him. Um, we're going. Sounds like there's an overdose where someone's not breathing, not responsive. So, we're going to start heading that way. >> 30. Did you say he was [clears throat] breathing but not conscious? >> Not conscious, not breathing. 44. Go ahead. >> OD. >> So, >> basically, we've got a knock just not breathing. It sounds like the person is known to shoot up. So, it's going to be an overdose call. Um, when you when we say no, stop breathing, pretty much considered code blue at this point. Uh, dispatch will typically try to walk them through CPR, but it doesn't not everybody's willing or able to to do that, go through those methods. Um, it's we don't have a whole lot of information at the time. Just sounds like roommate found their buddy, not not responding, not breathing. We're a little ways off, so our partner and EMS will probably beat us over there, but we'll try to get there as quick as we can. >> 33. I can head that way. What are the way number 109? So, when you get to a red light and you're running lights and sirens, they don't know what laws to abide by. Um, they're like, "I don't want to run the red light with this cop behind me, but also I'm trying to get out of his way." Um, typically rule of thumb is >> 30 is one black. >> Yeah. Well, we're going to go ahead and shut it down. If they're code black, that means they are deceased. >> 131. Are you still 10 for about yourself? >> There is unless I'm need one more. All right. 37 now. >> 139. Can you turn off >> 139? Stand by. >> 31. I'm selling routin. I'm running 1037 now. >> Basically letting my partner know that I'm going to be running >> are you 104 >> regular traffic? >> Yes. >> Not here. So, the rule of thumb is that you're going to pull over to the right um and allow emergency vehicles to go by. Um but when we come to a stop light like that, um you can get gridlocked real easily without that light turning because nobody wants to to go through the red light with an officer behind them. So, you'll get people doing a lot of weird stuff, whether it's pulling to the left or pulling, you know, trying to just sitting there. Um they're they're not quite sure what to do. Um, so we just have to go through the best we can and and find alternate routes sometimes. So if there is there's emergency vehicle behind them and I get in the right lane like that, hopefully what I would expect them to do is make a right-hand turn. You can make a right-hand turn on red without any issues as long as it's clear. Um, I don't expect them to endanger themselves, but u to make way for an emergency vehicle if they can if they can make that right hand turn on a red and let me through and then they can reroute and go back and it might cost them a minute or two, but um not nothing critical. 31 23 >> 314. >> Hello. >> Anyone talk to you yet? You >> hang out right there or right here. I'm going to go So, we responded [music] to an overdose call um before we arrived on scene. A fire showed up and declared him code black. So, he was he was dead on scene. um apparent causes are overdose. So, we had to contact the corner, have her come out. Um due to respect for the family, our camera crew decided not to film. Um we had some people on scene that were who had found the the body and didn't quite know what to do. So, um unfortunately, that's kind of how things go. Um, that's a risk you take when you're when you're taking those types of narcotics, which is why I mean we really frown upon it. >> Try to get them off the street as much as possible. Unfortunate situation today. All right. So, right now we're getting dispatched to a autotheft in progress. A person's calling in saying there's someone actively trying to hook up and steal a trailer from out of their yard. So, we're going to try to get there in a hurry and catch him in the act. Sneak on in here. Hopefully, he didn't hear us coming. >> We'll get him. We didn't clear the house yet. We don't have fun in there. >> So, that door's open. This back door's open. You got that door for now, Jones? I'm going to go post up on this. Knight County Sheriff's Office. If anyone's inside this building, you need to announce yourself. Make yourself known. Knight County Sheriff's Office. If anyone's inside, you need to announce, make yourself known. We do have the K9 unit. We will be sending them in and you will get bit. Cell 17. Announcements made. Copy. Coming back here. It's clear back here so far. >> Coming up. Are these your bags? >> What's that? >> Backpacks. >> Black ones. >> Ask him if this is his >> Are they yours? >> That one? The strap on this one? >> Yeah. >> Which one? >> One to one. >> This one? >> Yeah. >> This one's yours. >> This one's not yours. And of course, you know, got Bonsson burners. This must be the Breaking Bad kit. I'm also making pottery. H. All right, let's go see. Yo, how are you going to drive this away? I'm going to call my friend again. >> That's a nifty. I thought you were going to like >> put your legs between there and push it like a Flintstone. >> No. >> What are we going to find in here, man? >> Nothing. Go ahead. This is >> nothing. Not even >> there. Straps. I got straps. >> Is there any >> tools? >> Smoking. >> None of that, bro. >> No needles. Nothing. You don't use I got to ask. I don't know who you are. >> All right. Any guns? >> No, sir. >> Just tools. All tools for this, bro. >> All right. >> Who lives here? >> Well, the prop the um my friend's ex-wife and them used to stay here. So, >> did were they owners or they were just squatting here? >> They were the owners, but I guess they sold the house or something. It doesn't. It's to >> How long you been sleeping in there for? >> I ain't never slept in there. >> You ain't never slept in there. When's the last time you were over here? >> Right now? >> No. Before this? >> Last night. You can't sleep over here. >> It's hot as [ __ ] >> Who's who else stays here? >> Nobody stay. It's nobody's house. >> Okay. So, why are you coming over here then if no one stays here? >> Because my friend told me this trailer right here is particularly his. He said you can have it. >> Dude, why got burnt into this? >> That's just a spoon. >> That's Yeah. Does that look like burnt onto there? >> That's dirt. >> That's dirt. That's not dirt, man. >> That's definitely not dirt. >> What's that? >> You can have that. It's also nice. >> Huh? >> It's a what? >> Acrylic. Like if you paint. >> Why do you have it? >> Is it crushed up pills? >> Oh, >> a what? >> Acrylic. >> Acrylic. >> Yeah, if you paint. Oh, I thought you said for paint. >> You a painter? I ain't found no paint and stuff yet. >> I don't know, man. That's a little >> What do I think it is? What would it look like to a cop? What would you say? pain. Huh? [laughter] >> Possibly you do, man. >> No. >> Huh? >> That's dope. >> That is not dirt, dude. The rest of the spoon is clean as whistle. Not even dust on it. >> Well, we we going to find out, man. We going to find out. You want to come find out with us? All right. So, basically this subject is saying a friend or a friend of a friend said, "Hey, there's a trailer over at this house and it's mine. You can have it." So, he comes over. He's trying to hook up the trailer and was going to take off with it. Um, we ended up doing a records search on the property. Can't get hold of any owner. No one's lived there for a while. So, at which time that raises our suspicion. He's probably not supposed to be on the property. It's probably burglarizing it. So, he gives consent to go through his product or his backpack. I found a spoon with what looks like residue of So, we'll test it if it tests positive. We'll be looking at charges of possession. We also found a white powdery substance. He's trying to allege for a painting project, but it does appear to be consistent with what could be. So, we can also try to test that as well. Right now, I'm going to break off a piece of this residue that looks like it's melted into the spoon. We'll put it in the test kit for and see if it tests positive. Makes it easy. He already had it in a spoon for me, so I was able to pour it right into the package. So, we agitate the chemicals, break the middle one, and then the third one should pop blue if it is. And there it is. So it matches the same color. So this is a presumptive positive for So what that means is this says yes, but it'll go off to a lab where they were they will do more extensive tests to confirm that it is in fact. So this test right here is going to be for uh it's similar to the other one. You'll put a little bit of the product in here. the pump ampules except for this one will it'll have different colors so you just got to match up the colors. He said it's what did he say it was something acrylic for painting >> painting? Yeah, >> it might be nothing, but I'm like >> C1. >> Explosion, >> baby. C1. Yeah, >> it didn't turn any color, so probably not. You [laughter] >> going home early tonight? Sweet. You're going to have to stay till 6. Hell no. >> You're gonna have to stay till 6. >> Have you done a PCS before? >> No. >> No PCS. >> Uh uh positional control sensors. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, that's enough for sure to test. So, already been tested. So, you can just wait. I mean, it's probably just going to be right around one g or 0.1 g, but all right. So, basically, we tested the substance inside the metal spoon, and it came back presumptive positive for there was enough on there to scrape out and substantial amount that he's going to get charged with possession of a controlled substance for. Um, he will also be trespassed from this property. Nothing's really going to happen with the >> theft of the trailer, which was the initial call because we weren't able to get hold of anyone and he hadn't actually tried to take it off the property yet. So, he'll just go to jail on his drug charges. >> I've never been pulled over in one of these before, so I don't know how that goes. >> Okay. I just mean as far as like how I engage with you guys, you know what I mean? Normally you guys >> same thing as driving your car. So, same interaction. So, um do you know why I'm stopping you? >> I do. >> Why? >> Unfortunately, because >> is the reason why it's been expired for 4 years? >> Uh yes, sir. >> What is that? >> Um well, first of all, I just left from the the DV place here. >> Uh not obese. >> Uh uh the the the I can give you the card. It's the the um the resource center, but they have the no abuse place over there. >> Uhhuh. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. >> I don't drive around at all. I know that I am at this moment. I know that's not appropriate. That's why I tried to pull over and make sure that I was trying to be as compliant, not try to cause any problems, >> right? >> Um been staying in BLM. I'm trying to be as compliant as I possibly can >> because I'm I'm in a situation where >> I don't know what I do without this and it's just not a great situation. >> Mhm. >> Um >> yeah, I know I'm not in I'm not I'm not I don't feel entitled to anything here, sir. You know what I mean? Um >> just being honest with you. I don't try I I don't drive around. I don't try to travel around or anything here. >> I appreciate you. Um, I just had to have that meeting because they've been waiting already for two months about my birth certificate. So, >> I'm already at two months about my birth certificate. They told me to at least try another month longer. Um, >> and uh, apologize about getting emotional, but I'm super I've been terrified about this because I don't want to get stuck out here in this heat and >> Oh, getting towed or something? Huh? >> You getting towed or something? >> Well, yeah. I think that that's, you know, that's my my my big fear. >> Well, good thing is we had discretion, right? So typically when I saw people and this is their only this is their only you know conveyance and their home. I'm not going to typically tell your your home away from you unless there's a absolute reason I need to. Right. >> I can guarantee you sir if there's any discretion afforded to me here sir see me on the streets with this thing at all unless I have for some reason have to go to meet with my TV counselor. >> Um do you have an ID at all or anything? >> I do I do have an old it's an old expired one driver's license. >> That'll work. >> Yeah for sure. Yeah. Do you mind if I >> No, you're good. No, no weapons for my peace of mind. >> I don't have any weapons. I don't do any drugs. I don't drink at all. So much drama going on in California. I need to add my account. You know what I mean? >> Got you. >> So, let me just Sorry to get out of sight. >> No, you're all good. >> But it is uh honestly, even dealing with the other deputy, I'm so used to LA and >> how arly aggressive that's why you see me kind of >> Yeah. >> There is no such thing as discretion. the discretion is you know how >> right >> that's going to get you in trouble so I really appreciate >> I got you I tell people in a small town we're as long as you're cool with us we'll work with you a lot more than >> here is the paperwork that I have on it >> okay >> that and then I do have a letter from a family member that I was supposed to get like I got reconnected with this strange family and they were supposed to be helping me out to family property out in Colorado I just kind of got stuck here so I don't know if that helped at I when that accident happened. So like they gave me You'll see there's it's really weird. The title got signed and there's a bill of sale. >> Yeah. >> They wouldn't hand me the actual title for 10 months. So I couldn't ever register it. >> Well, it's it put you at ease at most. If you get anything today, it would be a citation. >> Okay. >> So >> like honestly like my my biggest heart attack is just losing this and being stuck here with the weather that we had last week. It's I don't know. >> Yeah. It is hot to do. >> Yeah. So, no, like I said, right now based off everything I'm seeing, your honesty and everything like that, at most what I'm looking at is possibly a citation. Um, >> and honestly, I have no I fully respect that. Yeah, >> honestly, I fully respect that. >> And when did you when did you come out here? >> Um, honestly, I got out here to to to Nevada September 10th. >> Okay. >> Um, and then it was just kind of got into, you know, this weird situation with my family where they were supposed to be getting me out to a ranch that's in my name and has been in Colorado for a long time. a lot of paperwork and stuff with that. >> Yeah, there's a trust in a probate now. I'm stuck here. And so, yeah, I'm just trying to do the best that I can with the research. >> Okay. So, stopped this RV. He went past me. Um, what caught my attention was his >> plate was hanging down by one bolt. Um, and then it had a sticker on it from California that looked to be an expired sticker from several years ago. When I checked it, it expired in 2021. talking to him for a minute. Sounds like he had a bad situation. He said he was getting away from in California. He's been out here for uh like 9 months. Um but this is his is home essentially. He just left one of our resource facilities we send people to that are homeless um to get help and resources. So he's been upfront and honest about all his stuff. He does not have any of the required documents for operating motor vehicle though. But given his uh situation and what he's telling me and everything like that, I'm going to check his history. At most, he might get one insurance, one ticket for not having insurance. Um then I can probably cut him a break on the rest of the stuff since he's uh working on getting everything together and is honest about it. So, we'll check his make sure he has no warrants or anything super crazy and then go from there. So, so really not as bad as you thought. So, here's that. So, your California license is still good. You just don't have it with you, >> right? But, but yeah, but I can't register my vehicle here without having >> a copy of it. >> Well, that and having an address and that's what they're helping me out with having that so I can at least get it registered and legal, road legal here. >> Okay. Two things. I got one warning for you and then one ticket. All right. >> Respect. Appreciate it. warnings for the registration. Um, this one you don't have to do anything with this. Just shows that I gave you a warning, told you about the registration, you know about it and it's in our system. Okay. Um, the only one I have to give you is Nevada law says anytime we stop someone who's a resident without insurance, we have to give you a site for not having insurance. If you have no prior conviction for an insurance citation in Nevada, the law says their court's required to reduce it to $100. I tell people that because there's a total fine on here that people usually freak out. Um, >> yeah, for sure. >> Yeah. So, just make sure you go to court on that date, talk to the judge, let them know your situation. If you don't have insurance by then, also ask not to abuse, see if they can help you out with maybe some insurance. In the meantime, maybe take it up to the Power Line Road up there. You know how to get up there. >> Um, they've been telling us that BLM is not going to mess with anybody on Powerline Road. >> Um, that way they have pretty much a general area of everyone that's just camping out. Okay. >> Um, so >> yeah, I've been up there, but I've been just cutting to the right just cuz honestly there's some shady >> 100%. like just started coming up to my coming up and talk to me and >> yeah, you got to be careful up there. >> Second day it's like yeah so you know randomly this guy just pulled over and gave me I'm like all right cool man I'm gone a >> lot of weird people up there. >> So right now we are getting dispatched to a residential burglary alarm. So these type of calls are kind of priority one. We want to get there in case someone's home and you know make sure no one gets hurt and no one's actually breaking into the house. We get a lot of burglaries, especially in this neighborhood cuz it's nicer homes. Uh right now we just have it's just an alarm. So, usually the alarm companies will call us and say, "Hey, there's an alarm going off." Uh, if it was actual homeowner there, they'd be giving us more information like description or what if they have a suspect or anything like that. A lot of times, especially on windy days, we get a lot of alarm calls because the wind will shake the sensors on either the door or the windows. So, a lot of them end up being false, but you never know till you get there. So now we're getting another residential burglary coming out as well. So this one they're saying there's someone currently in there. So we'll continue to ours just in case even though cuz there could be someone in there too. Even though I think we just passed that one south 20 is arriving. >> Let's see. So, it's probably this one where the garage is open. South 20 clear for a Arizona plate. >> How's it going? Frank Tom Zero 768. All right, you guys doing work. >> Oh, they always do when alarm calls >> air. Homeowners are here. >> Hello. >> Hi. Sorry. >> How are you? >> I got the call >> from the alarm. >> Okay. >> So, I hiked it over here and >> and uh they just didn't get my message. >> Ah, okay. Who's who's the homeowner? >> You guys. Okay. >> Right here. >> All right. So just >> we just pulled up. We were gone. >> Gotcha. >> Over at Desert Radiology. So >> I got the key. I got everything. >> All right. Well, you beat us to the punch. >> Yeah. >> She forgot that the landscaper was coming by today and was going to be getting into the garage, so she had the alarm set. So when he opened up the garage, it triggered the alarm and he doesn't have the code to shut it off. So a neighbor across the street has a key to the house and knew the alarm passcode. So, she got here before the homeowners did and shut it off. And that's how most of these go. But I did have one yesterday um burglary where the homeowner said they had cameras inside the house and on the outside. And they're like, "We can actively see three people inside the house." Um but they were most likely listening to the police scanners cuz by the time we got there, they were gone. But when we reviewed the surveillance, we could tell they were in there about 10 minutes before we got there. So, so you never know. So, as we were pulling out of the gas station here, we spotted a uh Honda Accord, ran the plate on it, >> and the vehicle returned stolen. So, we're waiting for it to go mobile again, and that way we can go ahead and uh conduct a vehicle stop. Um, and we also have a perimeter set up just in case this vehicle uh leads us on a pursuit. K92 DOS, >> it's that vehicle that's parked in front of the ice machine. Do you got eyes on it so I can uh have a better park? >> Last one. Same for I think 13 is going to be your second down there with you. Copy. Yeah, he's just north of my location. They should be okay. We got some two people going in. They're doing something in there. I think they're gambling. Probably gambling maybe. All right, we got someone exiting, right? Vehicle's reversing out now. I'll advise them direction of travel. >> Jones, it's heading out your way. Looks like it's going to make that northbound turn. Black basin. Moving up. SHOW ME YOUR HANDS RIGHT NOW. SHERIFF'S OFFICE. Hands up right now. >> One at gunpoint. Show me your hands right now. Put your hands up on the vehicle right now. >> What's the matter? >> Go. >> Hands behind your back. >> Yeah, you got it. >> Shut up. >> Okay, baby. What did I do? >> What's going Why you covering me? What the [ __ ] I just forgot something inside. >> You got anything that's going to stick beside me? Poke me? >> Um, no. Dude, >> let you know what's going on in a second. All right. >> All right. >> You ain't got nothing on you that's going to stick me static, poke me. >> No, no. >> Maybe I got a pocket knife on me. >> Pocket knife. Okay. >> Yeah. What the is going on? >> Let you know in a second. >> I got a lighter in my hand. >> What's up? >> A lighter in my hand. >> Okay, it's all good, brother. Just hold on. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say may be used against you in court. You have the right to the pres of an attorney before and during any questioning. If you cannot hire an attorney, we will be appointed for you free of charge for any questioning if you want. You understand? All right, here's what's going on. When did you get this? Um, >> I borrowed it from a friend uh to come out here to help another friend. >> Okay. What friend did you borrow that from? >> Um, I think his name is Benji. >> Benji? >> Yeah. >> He let you borrow this? >> Yeah, I have the keys and everything. >> How How long ago did he let you borrow that? >> Um, yesterday. >> Yesterday? >> Yeah. He told me uh I could borrow it and bring it back when I was done doing what I needed to do out here. I came out here grabbed some stuff that I >> Okay, so that vehicle is stolen >> out of Metro. But But here's the thing, Heather, too. So, you were about to leave. >> Yeah. And I forgot to I forgot to >> And you probably saw this gentleman right here. >> No, I was looking for my uh >> So, you gota you got to see how that looks suspicious as hell, too. >> I I I thought I left something on my counter because it's on my car. Okay. >> So, I was going back and there see if I left it on the counter, but I don't think I did. >> Okay. >> Was it cuz you had a warrant? >> No. Uh Metro ran my name uh two weeks ago and he told me I had a warrant. They didn't arrest me or anything. >> The same what? >> The correct person on my return. >> Oh, return. >> Talking about your return, bro. That means like your DMV return. Like who you are. Oh, >> make sure you giving us the right name. >> I did, didn't I? >> I don't know. >> Really? This person? >> I've never dealt with you. >> Yeah, you have. >> Yeah, you have. >> Bro, I deal with kids. I'm a school resource officer. I don't deal with this kind of >> You have an ID in here? >> Okay. All right, Heather. Here's the deal. So, you're going to jail today for possession of a stolen vehicle? Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. >> Well, all my stuff's in the trunk. Can I Can I have somebody come up here and pick it up? >> No. Whatever's in that vehicle I own. Like that's >> I I don't know whose stuff that is, man. >> Could be the same person the vehicle was taken from. >> There's nothing in that car when I got it. >> There's nothing in there when they stole it. >> I didn't steal it. How How am I going to steal some of those? Give me the keys. >> We're going to >> How am I going to steal it when they >> Jones? Do you want them in the back of yours? >> Excuse me? >> Yeah. >> How am I supposed to steal some of them when they give me the keys? >> Dude, they gave me the keys. Like, >> why is it stolen? I don't know. >> I don't know. I don't know. I haven't >> I don't know either. >> Like that. I'm blown away, dude. Like, >> you bro, you think I would have drove a car out here if it was stolen? Like, come on. I'm not that >> I don't know you, bro. I don't know you. >> Okay. Well, I'm telling you right now, I'm not that. >> All right. >> Like, I'm not going to. >> We're going to go ahead in the back of this gentleman's vehicle. Okay. >> So, why would I stay out here? >> There's no [ __ ] reason why I'm asking you to go to jail and you end up finding something on you, they're going to charge you for it. Okay. They always do. >> Okay. Go and have a seat. >> Check the little pocket right there. >> Where? The little pocket. The little pocket in my shorts right there. The little pocket. You see the little >> Yeah. All right, man. >> All we know is we run the vehicle, it comes up stolen, you're in possession of it. The moment you see me, you take off backwards. It kind of looks a little sus cigarettes. That's it. Like, >> but you understand that's not normal behavior for a human being to do it backwards in reverse. I've seen people do it all the time in this in the parking lot. Like when they forget something. >> Not me. >> I've been here for 2 years. You're 30, bro. Like I got you beat by by 28 years. Like I I see people do that all the time. Like I didn't think it was a big deal that I cigarettes. >> Like I don't I I don't know why that's a crime. I don't know why it's a crime to be in a stolen vehicle. >> Yeah, but how am I How do I know that dude didn't set me up? Like >> how do I know that? How do I know he didn't get anything to for whatever reason? >> All right, man. Come on, bro. Someana a lot of paraphernalia. I had his cigarettes here. There he goes. I'm backing up for them. Come on now. Backing up that fast for your cigarettes, man. You must be feeding. I'm just uh So, right now, we're going to go ahead and search the car and inventory it. Uh the car is going to be towed away, and the rightful owner is going to be contacted and advised that we recover this vehicle. I don't know what's Dude, there's like two, three phones in here. So, I don't know whose stuff is who description. I don't even know what this is. Prescription ripped off. Oh yeah, I ain't going anywhere, >> man. He saw you and he was like, "Hell no. There's always something in all these phones. Crazy. Yeah, I got nothing in this vehicle. Just a bunch of clothes. All right. Right now, we're going to get the tow in or out. Come pick up the vehicle. There's nothing really of any concern. We're going to see what those pills are in there. But, uh, other than that, we'll return the vehicle to its rightful owner. And uh Osborne's going to go ahead and go to jail today. >> What's up, man? >> Can I uh have somebody come get my clothes at least? Cuz it's all I >> Yeah. What kind of What clothes? Which which ones you use? >> Red Devil bag. >> Okay. >> And then there's a a bag that's like a like like a reusable like bag. >> The Burlington one. >> Yeah. >> All right. That in my shoes. >> What I'll do is I'll Which ones are your shoes? All the sh everything in there is mine because I didn't know I didn't know this this was going to happen. I'm I'm >> I don't even know what to say or do. I just talked to that guy this morning. >> Okay. What I'll do for you is I'll get your bags. All right. And then I'll book them in to the detention center with you and that way when you get released they'll uh release them with you. Okay. >> I I could have a property release if I need to. Right. >> Yeah. Yeah. They'll be booked in with you. So like whenever you leave they'll leave with you. >> So you'll have them up there. That's why I'm I'll take them up there for you. I might not leave. >> Well, I mean, at least you'll have your stuff. >> I mean, yeah, >> it's better than going to the toward. >> I would appreciate it. >> I got you, man. All right. >> What's up? >> Don't you have to have consent to be recording me? >> Uh, they're in a public place. >> I If you're in a public place, it's okay to record whoever you want. >> Yep. >> Is it really? >> Yep. That's why you see those videos of those people that are always recording. >> Yeah, but they get in trouble. They people act like they're they're getting them in trouble. Freedom freedom of the press, man. So, we ended up sitting on that vehicle for a little bit and uh conducting some surveillance on the vehicle. It was a good about 25 30 minutes before Heather came back out to the vehicle and kind of was like testing the waters a little bit, you know, seeing who's out there, if the cops are still around. She ended up going back inside and then about 10 minutes later it came out and you know probably thought it was good to go. So she got in the vehicle, backed on out and was headed um to the north exit of off of black and basin at the Circle K where she spotted Deputy Jones who was blacked out in his vehicle waiting for headed to exit onto the roadway. Uh when she spotted Deputy Jones, she threw it in reverse and backed out of there like a woman possessed. I'll tell you what, she was flying through the parking lot and went ahead and backed on into that parking space. So, that's when we were able to approach the vehicle and apprehend her at uh gunpoint for the possession of the stolen vehicle. So, Heather is going to jail today for the uh possession of the stolen vehicle. The vehicle has been picked up by tow and it's going to be taken back to their yard so uh the rightful owner can possess their vehicle back and hopefully remove it out of the uh stolen vehicle database is what we'll do next. So all is well. We got another stolen vehicle off the street which is good. >> [music] >> Heat. Heat.
