You did just get hit by a car. >> I went to prison for something I didn't do. Home invasion, attempted burglary, battery. >> Hey, big brother. Older brother >> and he had a gun. He pissed it with me. [music] >> [music] >> You fresh to death, man. You dripped out. >> So, we got dispatched to a report. Um, what they're reporting is that uh there was a disturbance and that uh someone got pistol whipped. Um possibly um victim was hanging out with a girl and her brother showed up and pistol whipped uh the victim. Um not too sure on everything. There's no reported injuries, but we're going to be close by and waiting for our back to show up on uh this call. >> Hi there. >> How y'all doing? >> Pretty good. Did you guys call? >> Yeah, I'm going to call my uh Oh, shoot. So, who got hit? >> Uh, he just he just left cuz we didn't he didn't think I was coming. I'm going to call him right now. >> Oh, >> all right. Y'all going to be on your way? >> Yeah. >> All right. He on his way. They literally stay like >> a block or two. >> So, what do you know? What What happened? >> I was at work and next thing you know, my little cousin called me. He said some girl, the girl he was with wasn't out the car. She called her baby daddy and her brother up there. our brother show up. He was like, boom. When he pulled up, he got a gun and he was like, "Don't shoot me, bro." Like, "Don't shoot me." >> So, I guess the dude like told him, "Put his hands up or whatever to end up running from me." >> Yeah. >> And they end up taking the phone. We end up leaving. So, we turn down that street. He stopped. Another car like stopped behind us. >> So, boom. They boxed us in. He get out the car. He got his gun on now. And while he got his gun, he pulled it out. He run behind like a tree. >> We try to like reverse and go down the other side of the patty. >> He run across the street with his gun. He get ready to shoot, but we already across the street. So we met my brother and my auntie them up at Quitre and we all up at Quitre. So we leave. We go get his car and we go get his car. His mama's credit card is gone. His phone >> real quick. Is is this guy who's in the front pastor? Did he do was he there when all this happened? >> He was there. He was there >> after boom. They was they was here at the house. They didn't see. >> Okay. >> And the only reason why he said he wasn't there is cuz he on probation. >> He don't want to get in trouble. So the dude like put his gun outside the car. We get in the car and we take off. >> They right behind us. Like I ain't even going to lie. Y'all check in. Y'all see us running red lights, everything. So my little cous like, "Go, go, go, go." So we >> boom. Next thing you know, they went that way. We went this way. He said that he's got it on him when he's in the car and he pulls up and he's get he puts it out the car. What's he do when he's putting it out the car? >> Well, he just like put it out the window. >> Is he pointed at it? >> Yeah, like towards our car. >> So, like if this was the barrel, is he pointing it towards you guys or is it down at the ground? >> No, towards the car. >> Okay. All three of them got the gun pointed at him. But he the >> he got pistol with >> cousin got Yeah. >> You could tell he got hit, but he was just like, "Bro, didn't even like >> Did you see the hit happen?" >> No. When he when they pointed the gun at you, what was going through your mind? >> Oh, I ain't going to lie. I said, "We got to get up out of here cuz we didn't have no gun." >> Mhm. >> What we going to do? >> I know it was going to sound like a stupid question, but why did why did you want to get out of there? >> Cuz I ain't got no gun. I ain't trying to dog. I got two kids. >> Okay. So, you thought you were going to die? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> No. >> Hey, man. How you doing? >> What up? >> Uh, are you injured at all? >> No. >> No. Okay. So, what happened? So, you know, we went to the Indian, >> okay, >> downtown and everything was cool. >> Everything is fine. She bring her sister, which I already knew what something was going on because when she got a sister, she started, you know, a little funny, a little weird, show out or whatever. >> Uh, so long story short, short, we went to India. Everything was cool. We didn't stay no longer than 5 minutes. We left. >> Okay. >> So, like, I'm taking you home. No, she was like, I want take me to like, no, I'm taking you home. >> Okay. >> Cuz you you drove me You drove all the way out here, wait 5 minutes. I mean stay 5 minutes >> or three. >> Okay. >> So long story short, she was like uh she like I have somebody come get me. >> This regarding Minneapolis, >> I parked where I was parked at. Don't know where I was parked at. I was like, "Okay, come tell them come get you." Whatever. >> So she was nitpicking or whatever. >> And then she called me and her saying words back and forth or whatever. >> And then she hit me like a slide. >> Yeah. >> I said, "Don't hit me again." >> Three times. >> But I'm asking her multiple times, "Get out of my car. Get out of my car. Get out of my car. Get out my car." She wouldn't do it. >> So hold the car. All right. Cool. So when I got out the car, she locked my I was trying to get her out. She locked my doors. Okay. >> So I went back to the passenger side, I mean the driver side. And I was like, "All right, we seen in the car for cool 5 minutes or whatever." I asked her again, >> "Get out my car." >> Mhm. >> And then she was like, "No." And then she opened up my door and then I took her phone and I was like, "Get out my car." And then she opened up my door on that side. You can see the footprints on my window. She She was trying to break it. >> Mhm. >> And then you can see my window right there. She broke it. >> Okay. And so when she did it, I mushed her. I was like, "Watch out." And then that's when we end up fighting. And that's when she end up calling her brother up there. >> Okay. >> Hey, big brother. Her older brother. >> And he had a gun. He pissed him with me. >> Okay. Where'd he hit you at? >> Right here. But he didn't do no bruises or nothing like that. >> All right. You want to EMS or anything at all, man? >> No. >> No. Okay. >> No bruises, no nothing. >> You start seeing stars or anything? >> No. >> No. Okay. So, after he got pistol whipped, what happened? >> Then that's when they left. >> Were you guys chased at all? No. >> No. No. No one chased. Did you guys get a gun pointed at you when you guys were in a car at all? >> No. When he came, he had a gun. >> Okay. >> But he was just showing it just for show. >> Okay. >> I knew he was going to shoot it. >> Okay. How many times do you think she hit you? >> Before everything escalated. >> Everything all together? >> Probably like all together. Just before all that stuff happened. >> Where at did it hit you? >> Before she hit me one time. >> Where at? >> In my mouth. But no, none of that. >> Okay. And then that's when uh I told her multiple times to get out my car. She wouldn't get on my car. >> So who is she to you? >> A friend. >> A friend. >> Yeah. Before all this everything was cool. >> Were you boyfriend girlfriend? >> No. >> Do you guys ever have sex? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Okay. >> How much would you value the like windshield >> value? >> Yeah. Like how like to replace a windshield? >> No, I don't know how much it cost. >> You think 200 bucks sounds good? >> You just need an estimate. >> Just a just need a number. >> But I don't know. I mean, I I didn't bust it. Cheated. >> I got you. >> How much is your phone cost? >> What iPhone? >> 13. About 13? Probably. >> Pro Max. >> No, it's just a Pro >> probably like close to five. >> 500. >> Yeah. Three close to five. >> Yeah. So, right now, um, we're going to be issuing a pickup for her for the windshield. Um, meaning she's got a pickup for her arrest for destruction of property or destruction to auto. It's what it is. Um, I don't see any injury on you. I'm not saying that she didn't hit you, but I I'm not seeing anything to say that I can arrest her for that right now. The only thing that I have that I can say yes, she uh there's damage to >> What? What about my mom's credit card? >> What about your mom's credit card? >> The ticket. >> Okay. You didn't tell me about that. >> Mar, she didn't tell. I thought you just said you you told me about the credit card. >> Oh, I I thought I did. I'm >> Anyways, he she took I don't know if they came back or she was still here when me and him got into it, but my mama's credit card is gone. spoke to all the parties involved. Uh right now we don't have any injuries for the male uh to say that he got hit by the pistol uh or got hit by the uh his girlfriend. Um all that we do know is that for sure his car got damaged. So, we are going to be uh documenting everything and we are going to be issuing a pickup for her arrest um for a destruction auto. Um just because we're not issuing an arrest pickup for uh the male for striking him with the gun doesn't doesn't mean that we're the case is over. just means that it's going to pass along to a detective and then they're gonna take a look at it >> and maybe there's some photos or videos and from there we can expand the case. >> So, >> uh we got dispatched to this business to check the welfare of a female who was trying to report a car stolen and then walked away. >> I'm going to go treading since she was walking towards it. >> Yeah, I'll talk to the CP. >> Cool. How's it going, guys? >> Good. Hey, did you guys give us a call? Sorry, I just scared the crap out of you. >> Oh, boy. [laughter] >> Hey, so what was this uh lady up to? Like, >> I don't know. So, >> okay. I was taking garbage out when I was coming back. She hopped out of I guess it's a Yarus. It was a little silver car. She said Yarus. Sounds about right. >> Hopped out of the passenger side. Threw a empty water bottle down towards the sidewalk here. Stormed into the store. >> Okay. >> As soon as she came in the store, the person in the car took off. >> Okay. >> When she comes, my cashier called for me. >> Mhm. and said that the lady wanted to use our phone because she said her car had just been stolen. >> Okay. >> Now she's crying. I take her outside, tell her I can't use store phones, so I use my phone. Okay. >> I call you guys and I'm like, you know, first I asked her several times, are you do you want to call the police? What's going on? >> Mhm. >> Well, she stole my car and she's like crying, not making sense. And I go, okay, why were you in the passenger seat? >> Valid question. >> And she was like, well, they're not going to be able to get any information. So I go, "Is it your car?" "Yeah." "Is it registered under you?" "Yeah." "Well, then they'd be able to find out your information." >> "Okay, >> so do you want me to call the police?" I finally just call the police. She's still crying. He's asking information and I'm asking her name. She's not really giving her name. >> Okay. >> Or want to give her name. Meanwhile, she's like doing this scratchy thing and moving all around. And I definitely on something, >> tweaking a little bit, it looks like. Okay. couldn't locate her. Uh if she wants to make a report, she can call back at a later time. Uh she didn't want to stick around. So, we are back in service. >> Go night. Broad view. It's got a disturbance in which a male's exgirlfriend is blocking in what I believe to be his current girlfriend, not allowing her to leave. Police department. >> Hello. >> Did you call police? >> No. >> No. >> 31 numbers only. We didn't. >> Well, then I got the wrong address. I'm so sorry, sir. >> No problem. Police. >> Hello. >> We got a 911 call from here. >> No, we got a 911 call from there. About here. >> Oh, about here? >> Yeah. >> Okay. My >> Can you tell me what's going on? >> My ex came over to get her >> Uhhuh. And my girlfriend, well, not she's really not my girlfriend, but she's a woman friend of mine, she's moving, >> so she's staying here until she moved into a new apartment. >> So, she came over with an attitude and she wanted all her stuff. So, I just let her grab her stuff. She just vented out there in the yard. That's what everybody's complain about cuz she was out there B and that's all that happened. >> Okay. She she called and said that um your ex wasn't letting her leave. That's what we got the phone call. Is she not here? >> Oh. Oh. Oh, yeah. She did leave. Oh, yeah. Cuz she locked in. She parked she parked behind her. >> She parked behind. Okay. And that's what the whole thing was about. >> She was just getting her stuff. >> But obviously she was able to to get out. >> Well, yeah, cuz she got all stuff and she left. Oh, I got some water. You can step in. >> Oh, thank you. I appreciate it. But if if she's gone and y'all don't need us for anything, >> I'll give her a call and just make sure she doesn't need us. But >> seems like she's >> she she wanted to she wanted to have a confrontation, but the other girl stayed in the damn car. I thought she was gonna break my windows out at first, but she did. >> Okay. >> And that's the friend that was staying here. >> Yeah. >> Okay. She was trying. She was all up in arms and trying to have a >> No, like I said, my ex >> your ex >> was Yeah. Okay. >> The other one was in the car. >> Oh, I see. >> And she was she was going to the car telling me to get out. Come on. You know, and all that stuff. >> And that's what it was cuz trust me, if I if she had to do anything, I was going to call you guys cuz she's she's a drama queen. >> Okay. I mean, she let she moved out in January and it's June and now she want to just have a fit because there's a woman over here. >> When there was nobody here with me, it was cool. But now that there's a woman here, she want to act. We're done. I mean, that that's the end of that. >> Okay. >> And so she talking about, well, I still got a key. No, you don't. You got your own house, your own place. Whatever goes on in here is me, >> right? >> Got nothing to do with you. And that's what she trying to prove that I got >> Did she come over just to start something? Your ex? Well, she came Sunday to get her stuff. >> Yeah. >> And she got some, but she left a couple few items in here. And so, Yeah. >> I got you. I got you. >> Okay. So, she came over. She forgot some stuff. Your roommate that used to live here was here. Um, was it your ex blocked in your roommate uh with the car like just parked behind her? >> I didn't even know that she was out here cuz she was gone. >> Okay. >> So, then I guess when >> and then she comes in to get her stuff. >> Yeah. She came in, got her stuff. So, I don't know what she calling the police about. >> And then she's yelling at you and making threats, saying she's going to kill you. >> Um, but you you don't feel threatened. You're She's just blowing off steam. >> Mad. >> Okay. >> Mad. >> Okay. You You know, I got to ask. >> Hello. >> Hi. Is this Marissa? >> Yes, this is she. >> Hi. Did you call 911 earlier? >> Yes, I did. She ended up um leaving but after you know throwing TVs and stuff like that but when she left I went ahead and drove off too. So thank y'all for um coming. >> So we're out on that disturbance call. Um this calling party is saying that someone's blocking her in. We t contacted the homeowner. He said his ex-girlfriend was over and uh she was throwing a fit. basically uh he uh was pretty uncooperative even though he was probably the victim of a couple crimes where she's making threats against him and um when he turned on his TV he says that's broken. You know, I tried to ask him if if she had broke it and he's uncooperative. Um then I call our contact or con calling party and she said that she had seen our suspect throw the TV um or throw ATV at least at uh a vehicle, but we were not able to confirm whether it's ex-girlfriend's property or his property. So at this point it's just going to be a suspect case um with as uncooperative as our victim is at the time. So, we got call for a citizen dispute. Confirm you've arrived. >> An issue between landlord and tenant. Uh the landlord is 88 years old. The tenant is a little bit younger. I guess the it got physical at some point, but not like super duper physical. Um Davis is already there. We're going to go find out exactly what's going on. >> 191. Hello. What is going on? >> He thinks he's a mechanic and he doesn't know anything. I was trying to >> show him I needed help uh holding a test light and I'm trying to figure out why we're having issues. His battery's dying and uh and the dash doesn't work. And I told him right from the getgo months ago, >> you got a loose wire under there. >> Okay, here here's my question. Why is this your responsibility? >> I fix things. That's what I do. I'm a mechanic. >> Okay. So, like there's not an agreement between the two of you guys fixes cars for rent or whatever. >> No. >> No. You're just doing it out of the kindness of your heart? >> Yeah. I do that. I fixed the place. I take >> I'm just curious. I'm just curious. I'm just curious. >> You [laughter] wouldn't believe what I What What happened tonight? >> I I I got I just blew up cuz it was obvious he doesn't know anything about cars. >> Okay. What do you mean by you blew up? yelling traffic. >> Okay. Y'all were screaming at each other, >> huh? >> Y'all were screaming at each other. Okay. Okay. >> Um, >> what about uh was it physical at all between the two of you? >> No, he didn't. He said, "You're out of here." And I did do that, >> but that was it. >> So, you did push him. >> Why'd you push him, man? You can't be pushing around an old man. Look, you got more years than anything. >> You got more years than I do. I know damn well if I got pushed I'd be stumbling and I know damn well if you got pushed you'd be stumbling. >> This is all I did just like that. He was leaning against the truck. I knew he wasn't going to fall down or anything. He's a big man. >> So what? He was just being a and you're like you know what this guy >> stupid. >> Yeah. I bet. I bet. I bet. But here's the deal. You still can't push people. >> At least I didn't hit him. >> That's true. At least you didn't hit him. At least you did not hit him. >> Just like that. >> Okay. Okay. Okay. Well, >> just hang out there for now. >> My pleasure. >> Can I get a [snorts] shirt? It's in my car. >> Look, man. I I'mma I'mma be straight with you, okay? I don't want you going over there. And to be honest, I envy you right now because I'm hot as hot can be. Okay. I would love to be in your position right now. I really would. >> Because I'm hot. >> It's hot under this thing. You Yeah, it's hot, dude. Oh, I thought being angry. >> Oh, no. I'm hot. >> Sorry. >> Alrighty, Mr. Phillip. >> Phil. >> True. >> Phil. >> 22. >> All right, Phil. So, I talked to Bill or William as as his ID states. >> So, he's 88 years old, man. Um, the only reason I'm gonna be honest with you, the only reason you're not going to jail for elder abuse right now is he has no marks. And you said that when you pushed him, it wasn't like to push him down on the ground and hurt him. It was like you were going somewhere and he blocked your your way and you you moved him out of your way and that was it. >> When I just so you know, when I went in there, he's got a revolver sitting on his couch that he reached for when when even I went in there and then obviously I gave him some commands to not do that. Um, my concern is if we leave here tonight because I'm I still got >> I'm staying in my car. >> Okay. I still got to pull a case for this. I'm I still got to, you know, obviously do my aspect of it. >> I have so much trouble in my life. I went to prison for something I didn't do. >> Home invasion, attempted burglary, battery. I did not do that. Three years. >> How much have you had to drink tonight? >> Uh, two beers. >> Okay. Just do me a favor. Just please, if you're going to go elsewhere, I'd encourage you to if you got a question. >> I'm just gonna sit there >> as long Okay, let me finish. Okay, if you're going to go anywhere, please do not drive. And if you are going to go somewhere, make sure you have a friend or family member pick you up if you just need a break for the night. Okay, I'm >> not going anywhere. >> I'm going to go talk to to Bill again. I'm going to tell him, don't engage with you. Don't argue. We're not we're not pulling guns on each other tonight. There's nothing worth dying over and verbal altercations are not illegal. But when guns start getting introduced in the mix and we have alcohol involved, that's that's like a mix that always goes really well. >> He doesn't drink. I like I said, I just had a couple. >> Well, I'm not saying he does, but he's got the gun and you're drinking. So, like you're both in the same situation. So, you throw all these variables in there and sometimes >> I was just trying to fix his truck and he just said, "What are you doing? Don't do that." You know, um when you work in a regular auto shop, you don't let the people come in, you know, to the shop to see what you're doing cuz it can be scary. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> See all those wires and everything? All right. >> Well, like well be with a crowbar needing to move it, you know, like in a to certain position so you can do something like that. You know, people go, "What are you doing?" You know, I freak out. >> Let me Let me go talk to That's what he was doing. >> I'm going to go for the same stuff. Okay. >> Okay. >> Can I get my shirt? >> Yeah. If you want to get your shirt, man. >> Okay. Come here real quick. Let me turn around. Your hands behind your back. >> I was going to get arrested. >> Well, >> well, things change a little bit. Okay. >> From Bill. Okay. >> What What's your criminal history like, man, if you mind me asking. Have you been convicted of elder abuse or anything like that? Nothing like that. Okay. So, Phil, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can't be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to have an attorney and have one present before and during any questioning. If you cannot afford, an attorney won't be appointed to you for your charge. Do you understand your rights? >> Not really. >> No. Okay. So, what it means is you don't have to talk to me if you don't want to. >> Okay. >> But I've already told you everything. >> Well, I don't understand. >> I'm going to be honest. I'm not going to ask you any more questions because you've already told me everything just like you said before you were in custody. Uh, my question for you is, where do you want me to put your knife? Cuz I can't have you bring it down to the jail. >> All right. All right. >> Is this your truck? >> Well, it's I built it. Uh, that blue car. Throw it in the window. >> I will uh I will have >> or just throw it on the deck on the deck there. >> Okay. We'll we'll throw it on the deck. I'll go get you into the uh cop car. Okay. >> Please don't w it. I've lost a thousand times, but I've always found it. >> This one? >> It's very useful knife. I've been using it forever. Well, then I'll tell you what. Okay. I will have the jail book it in. They'll probably wrap some tape around it. >> Throw it on the ground. I'll get it. >> Throw it on the ground. >> Throw it to the ground right here. >> No, I don't think that's the best idea. You just told me you didn't want to lose it. >> Well, I'll find it. I'm the only one that's here. >> Anything around here? Nobody comes here. >> Oh, I'm sure. Okay, so here's the thing. You better start puffing hard on that cigarette because I can't let you smoke it in the car. Okay, >> I understand. Well, at least I got one. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> The first time I ever got one. >> Got a cigarette >> as I was being arrested. >> Oh, I'll be real. >> Cigarette? >> No. >> I'll be real, Phil. You would asked me for a cigarette. I said absolutely you can have one. Believe me, I get it. I just quit. >> That's why I wanted to get my shirt cigarette. >> I just quit nicotine not too long ago. And that was one probably the hardest thing that I have ever done in my life. >> You go to prison and nothing. And I had to do it in the hole because they're trying to kill me. >> Yeah. Why were you in the hole? Not this one. This one over here. >> The the Chance Carden. Do you know his name? >> Uh I don't know that name. Where were you in the hole at? High Desert. >> Uh uh yeah, the prison. Uh Indian Springs. >> Indian Springs. Yeah, I've been to Indian Springs before. >> There's something I never would do. >> Lovely. We don't have a car. >> I would never do. Oh, >> okay. Well, this is going up here. >> Okay. Do you have anything on you that will poke me, hurt me, or stab me? No. >> Do you have anything any drug paraphernalia that will cause me to get pricricked? No. >> Or do you have anything in on in your buckets or anything that >> just my lighter >> I need to know about? >> Just your lighter and your wallet or anything. Whole weekend in jail before I see this judge. >> I was going to sleep in my car. Come on. >> Yeah. Just after putting the battery in. Actually, I was good 100 yards away from the car and I heard it. >> There we go. >> There was one time a woman >> hopped in there, my friend. Okay. >> And I popped it. >> Oh, it is hard seats. >> Yeah, I told you. >> I was asking if you didn't say yes. >> I said, "Yeah, of course they're hard seats." >> No, you didn't. >> I said, "You've been in a cop car before. You know what's in there?" >> Everything. I've got an identic. >> You got an identical memory. >> I remember. Identic. >> Identic memory. >> All right. All right. Well, at least you know you can uh you can't use the bathroom in the back of this car, right? >> I'm not going to try to. >> I hope you don't. Let's let's get you in here so we can get you out of here. Okay. >> Get that seat belt out of my way. >> And the signs hurt. >> Yeah, they they they they're not they're not the friendly ones. >> All right, my friend. Pull your knee in so I don't mess your knee up. You're >> good. >> So, uh Mr. Phil is being arrested for elder abuse uh with or down or not down he's being >> south 12 status >> he's being arrested for uh battery uh and on a elder per elderly person. He's going to jail tonight. Um he as you can see he fullheartedly admitted to everything. Um but yeah he he'll be spending the night in jail. So hopefully this doesn't continue to happen when he gets out. He seems like he has no care in what he did. So >> So I just got assigned to a custody interference between a mom and her baby daddy. She uh said she was in the shower 10 to 15 minutes, got out and her kids were missing. Frantically called 911. We spoke to the father and he let us know that he has the kids, that they're fine, they're safe. This has been a ongoing issue between him and her. I guess uh they called last night and she made some claims about him stalking her through his Bluetooth. Not sure if there's uh any sort of mental health conditions going on. He's claiming there is, but um she's frantic about her kids. We're going to go and talk to her and let her know that her kids are fine uh and answer any questions she might have for us. Sheriff's office. >> Oh, hello. Hello. >> I got a camera crew with me. Is it okay if they come? >> No camera. >> Okay. No camera. So, we went and talked to the to the female um in relation to this uh custody agreement, custody disagreement. Um she's claiming a lot of stuff that the male said was untrue and that she had no idea where her kids were. Um the kids are okay. It's a 50/50 custody agreement. So, they both live together. Dad took the kids out for, you know, whatever reason. Said he's going to be home later. um they're having some issues between them as far as uh agreeing what happens with the kids and their in their care and as far as her care. Um she was not very happy with uh his behavior towards her. Um typically in situations like this it's it's pretty civil that has you know stuff that has to get taken care of through the courts. Um, so we gave her all her avenues and and uh different agencies and uh resources that she can use to assist her with this. And uh she'll have to take that up with the courts tomorrow, which she said she's going to get taken care of. Uh not really much we can do other than wait for any sort of paperwork that comes out of the courts for it. So we'll we'll uh see what happens with that in the future. We are going to a vehicle unlock at Sam's and that is the only location that we were told. So, I'm going to drive around and hope to see somebody standing by their car that looks like they need help. So on the vehicle unlock, we give that service to individuals in the city because it's really expensive to get a locksmith just to open up your car. So we provide it for free and uh it helps a lot of people out cuz we have a I think I found it a ton of people that forget their car keys in their car. Yeah. Yeah. 729 10:23. See, saw someone looking like they were uh in need of some help. Oh. Oh, perfect. This is going to be easy. Hey. >> Hey. I'm sorry. >> Oh, don't worry about it. >> The windows cracked a little bit and I don't know if you like to pull this up or not. >> Yeah. >> I just No, no, don't worry about it. If I can get you to sign one of these. It's just a waiver stating that if anything happens, we're not held liable, but I don't see that being a problem. Just print your name there >> and then on the X and sign on the X. That makes This makes me so mad. I >> It's okay. >> Squeeze a grape. >> Yeah, I was just on another one and I told the guy I'm glad that he has the old pull-ups >> because it's so much easier to get those. From now on they will be a key in my [laughter] a spare. >> I have a little hook on my purse. I usually put on there. >> A book. >> A hook. >> Oh, a hook. Okay. >> Right here. >> Oh, okay. I'm going in my house because you're filming. That's why I'm screwing this up so much. I appreciate it, though. >> Okay, we're going to we're going to keep it rolling. Okay. >> Yeah. There you go. >> Thank you so much. >> Oh, yeah. No problem. Of course. >> It's okay. >> Okay. Okay. I don't have a a remote. >> It's okay. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> Yeah. Not the best place to be sitting. So after we unlock it, we have a sheet that we fill out. So it's just logged on what car that we actually unlocked and in case there is someone that actually calls and complains about damage, which is the waiver is for um that they know exactly who went out there and what type of car it was and what the issue was. So, other than that, it was super quick and easy. Had the little pull tabs and uh we're on our way to the next one. Uh right now, we're headed to a vehicle accident. Um they said it occurred in the roadway, pulled off on the side. Uh not reporting any injuries, so it's just going to be a report call. She was leaving this parking lot. >> She was leaving the mall parking lot and I [snorts] guess she just >> All right. You the only one in the car? >> Yeah. >> Then I'm going to assume this damage right here is from it. >> What? >> This damage right here is from the wreck. I'm assuming. Okay. I like your uh thing on your dash. And then just in your words, what happened? >> I was right there waiting. And when I looked, it was no cars. It wasn't no cars coming down and it wasn't my cars coming up. So, I pulled out. >> Okay. >> And when I looked, she was coming on the side of me. >> I'm guessing she was coming from either Jack or somewhere in that area and just pulled out and didn't see me. >> Yes, ma'am. She said she was coming from Jack's. >> But when I looked, it was a red truck sitting there. It wasn't even her car. It was a red truck sitting right there. He didn't pull out the >> Okay. >> Okay. And you were the only one in the car? >> Yes, ma'am. >> And you're okay? >> Okay. >> So, uh, sounds like we have a vehicle versus pedestrian. It's going to be close to I20 on Leon Smith Parkway. There's a couple calls coming in. One of them is a vehicle accident with injuries. The other one is the vehicle accident, hit or run pedestrian. So, we'll uh head out that way pretty quickly and see if we can't get a hold of the situation and see if we can't help anybody out. >> 71 call 188 conscious. Directly in the Maza. She failed at a vehicle that's walked off under travel 762 advising that for comment. >> Well, my they said I 20. I don't know, man. Hey, do you want to hang out here with this? I guess they're two separate things. >> That's what the firefighters said. That's where they're heading, too. So, me and him will go over to >> Okay, >> the I guess the pedestri hit and run pedestrians on the other side. So, >> it's just all the same stuff. Hey, they said that this and then the vehicle versus pedestrian are two separate things. So, I'm going to go over there. Y'all want to deal with this? >> Okay. >> So, from my understanding, there was two separate incidents all within the same area. The vehicle accident was on this side of the on-ramp. Uh, spoke some firefighters. Apparently, the vehicle versus pedestrian is going to be on the other side of the on-ramp. So, we're going to head over to vehicle versus pedestrian and let officer Evitz and Officer Tucker handle the vehicle accident. >> It's going to be ala bravo delta. >> Okay. Is he down that way? >> Yeah. >> So, from my understanding, the male that got hit by the car One single power >> still walking down the roadway. This may be him right here. Doesn't look like he's in too bad a shape. >> Which is on 431 and then uh uh the car hit me uh on the right uh elbow and ran over my foot. >> You okay? >> As far as I know, I'm up and walking. >> All right. >> But >> could be worse, right? >> Could be worse. Yes, sir. >> Okay. Um, >> we got our medics right here if you want to want to head this way. >> What What car hit you? >> Uh, I don't know. All I All All I know it was a black car. >> They just left. >> They just left and kept going. >> You got your driver's license with you? That way I can let them know you're okay. Do you want to go to the hospital >> to get looked at? You did just get hit by a car, so it'd probably be safe to get checked out. >> Yeah. There. This is what I'm going to do, too. There's cameras all over the place. I'm going to do a documentation report saying somebody hit you. We're going to see if we can't figure out who ran you over and and then potentially sign warrants if you want to. >> Is that something that you'd be interested in? >> I mean, >> I'm going to document it no matter what. So, you can have some time to think on. I'll let you talk to them and I'll run through it with you again. Okay. >> All right. Give me one second. >> Looks like the guy that got hit, he seems okay. Of course, I mean, when you get hit by a car, your adrenaline's rushing. You never know what kind of internal injuries he may have. So, he's talking to EMS. He lives in Hollish Crossroads area. Um, which is >> five or six miles east of here and a good bit off the interstate. He's coming from Oxford. So, he's got a good trek back. So, >> it's my hopes that he goes to the hospital. But what we're going to do is at minimum, we're going to do an INO. We're going to document the report. We're document the incident. Um, and with all the cameras that we have here in Oxford, hopefully we'll be able to identify a vehicle that hit him. um and potentially sign warrants to have that person arrested for leaving the scene in an accident at minimum. Um but with the the hitting him there there may be more charges that we could add on to that. Uh it's kind of a severe issue when you hit somebody and leave. >> Where did he say he was hit at? >> Crossro said he was hit on the arms and the foot. >> But what what intersection? >> Right in this area. Oh, on the on. >> Hello. >> Well, the lady the lady that hit you stopped. So, I'm going to go talk to her and we're going to we're going to have a conversation about this. Okay. >> Yes, sir. >> All right. You be careful. All right. >> Yes, sir. >> All right. >> Okay. So, the lady that hit the guy, uh, she's down at the Friendship Community Center. So, we're going to head down that way, get with Sergeant Mcichel and Sergeant Brevette, and talk to her. All right. So, we're heading down to the Friendship Community Center. the lady that hit the man on I 20, uh, apparently she stopped down this way and decided to call and let us know. Uh, so silver linings is that at least she did stop. It just took her quite a bit of time to stop and then call. Uh, so Sergeant Mcichel and Sergeant Gravette have been down here for a minute or so, probably talking to her, getting all the information. I'm just going to try and get a >> recap from her perspective for the report and >> we'll figure out why she decided to keep going. 747 1023. >> Hey. >> Hey. >> Are you okay? >> I'm scared. >> Oh, I'm sure. >> Shaken up. >> You have your >> Yeah, he's okay. He's going to the hospital. But >> why was he standing in the middle of the road like that? >> Was he standing in the middle of the road? You know the exit ramp right there by the ext or the on-ramp >> when you um right before you get to the top of the hill, he was right there kind of not in the very middle, maybe towards the bottom and it was really dark and he was there before you could even react and I >> Okay. >> All righty. >> Shaking right now. >> I got you. You're not in any trouble. We just >> I mean I would not forgive myself. I knew I just flipped it. >> He Well, I was talking to him. He was standing up walking around. He doesn't seem like he's in too much pain. So Sorry, I'm not the most organized. >> You're okay. And then whenever you get that um if you got your insurance, I'll see that I'll have to I think I have the hard copy. I know I have a digital copy. >> Digital's fine, too. I just got to get a few numbers off of >> Okay. >> Did uh when you hit him, did that damage your mirror over there? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> You probably already told this officer, but where did this happen at? So when you the on-ramp right there by the exchange um right there. So before you at the top it's well lit but down there at the bottom it's really dark. Yes ma'am. >> And he was just standing there in the darkness. I mean there was no time to react. Just enough time to swerve and my mirror clipped him. >> So I went back. >> So you tried to avoid him? >> Yes. >> Yes. >> All right. And he was in the middle of the >> right in the middle just almost like he was just standing there. So, I went back a couple of times like to see if he's okay and then I see the emergency vehicles. I was going to call regardless, but my first instinct was just make sure he's okay. >> I didn't see him there. So, >> did it seem like he just hit the mirror and >> Yeah, I I didn't feel like the car hit him. It really just felt like the mirror and the dispatcher said it ran over his toe. So, >> yeah, he was complaining of foot pain, I believe, but he he looked like he was going to be fine. >> All right, so this is what's going to happen for the damage to your car. There is going to be a report done. Okay. >> Um, it's a vehicle accident report. >> Um, it'll have all of his information in there. It'll have your information in there. >> There won't be any insurance information for him because he was not driving. So, >> um, I would highly suggest afterwards you can contact your insurance company. You can get a copy of the e- crash report, the vehicle accident report from the police department Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 4:30. Um, it's free of charge. You don't have to pay anything. Um, if you need it, talk to your insurance company. Sometimes they will get that for you. >> Um, but just communicate with them. But, uh, do you need an ambulance or anything like that? >> No, I'm fine. Now that I know he's okay, I'm I'm good. >> Okay. All righty. So, talk to the lady that hit the gentleman on the highway. Um, she seemed pretty shaken up about it, but [music] uh, she's okay. She's got a little bit of damage to her vehicle on the the driver side mirror. Um, essentially people are not meant to be walking on the interstate. Uh, the state does not allow um, pedestrian foot traffic on the interstate. So, according to her story, she stated that he was walking down the middle of the on-ramp. If that's true, um, if the insurance company's able to verify that, um, then she would probably not be at fault. Um, but who's to say? That's up for insurance companies to decide. But so far, all is well, that ends well. He's going to the hospital for an assessment. He didn't seem to have any serious injuries, just obviously. Um, and she [music] seems to be okay, and she's heading home. >> [music] >> Heat. Heat.
