Usually it's just a matter of turning the auto on for your light system. Um, some people get borrow cars, they don't know you got to turn on auto. So, he's got headlights, no tail lights. So, we're just going to try and get him to turn those on. 747 1039. >> 10:30. >> Yeah. 78 in Blake. It's a looks like a maroon and color SUV. Alabama 28. Alpha 26. X-ray. X-ray. November. I'm sorry. >> I just want to let you know you don't have any tail lights. >> I don't. >> No. Do you have Where's your light setup at? Um, right here. Oh, my lights are off. I'm so sorry. >> No, you're okay. Put them on auto. And if you keep them on, so you got daytime running lights. So, if you keep it on that little circle, it'll >> keep them off. Okay. I didn't even >> You may have like a little orange light. If you do that, you're going to have >> more daytime running lights probably. Um, that's your front headlights. Auto will keep your back lights on, too. So, if you just keep it on auto, you'll be fine. >> Absolutely. >> You're good. Do you have your driver's license, your insurance with you? >> Yes, it's in my wallet right here. >> Is this your car? >> Uh, it is. registered to my parents. >> Okay. >> Give me my license, please. >> I'm not going to write you any tickets. Okay. As long as your driver's license is good and you got I'm not writing you any tickets or nothing like that. Y'all won't even write you a warning. I'll just tell you about it. >> That's registration. I just insurance. That's going to be that next card right there. >> Sorry. All are a little You're good. Thank you. Perfect. Okay. All right. Hang on to that. I'm going to check your license. I'll be right back. Okay. Hey, are you okay? He's recording me. Are you okay with him recording? Okay, cool. Appreciate you. >> Do you want me to roll down my window? >> You don't have to. No, you're fine. I'm going to close this for you, though. Okay. >> 747. I'm code for 1027 through Alabama. >> 1027 >> one. All right. I got an important question for you. >> Yes. >> How do you say your first name? >> Kiki. >> Kiki. >> Yes. >> Is it Kiki? So, my name's Hawaiian. So, the way you're supposed to say is K. >> I'm not even going to try that. I'm not even going to try that. It's Hawaiian. >> That's cool, though. All right. I appreciate you. Just make sure you keep them on auto. >> Absolutely. >> If you keep them on auto, when it gets daylight, it'll shut off. >> I've had a bunch of issues with my car, so my stepdad was like, "Well, just make sure that you're turning them off." And I'm like, >> "Yeah, make sure you turn them on, too." So, um, no, I'm not writing any tickets. There's no warning. So, there's no paperwork documented in this. So, just I just want to make you aware of it. All right. Thank you. >> Have a good night. Be safe. >> All right. We're about to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle in front of us doesn't have a license plate on it. So, we're going to stop, see if uh the vehicle's registered, if it's got insurance, and uh just make sure everything checks out. 736 1039 >> 1039 >> 78 pulling into the Calvary Baptist Church on a red minivan 28. All right. >> Hey, sir. How are you? >> Uh, I'm officer Matt with the Ash Police Department. All right. Yeah. The reason for the stop is cuz you don't have the tag on. >> So, I'm assuming that's the bill of sale. >> Yes, sir. >> May I see you? Yes, sir. >> Thank you so much. >> I have the insurance problem on here. Is that all right? >> Yeah, that's fine. Do you have your uh driver's license with you as well? >> Yes, sir. I do. >> All right. >> All right. All right. Here's that back. I'll trade you. Thank you. All right. I'll be right back with you. All right, sir. All right. It's got insurance. I'm assuming he just bought the car cuz he just handed me a bill of sales. So 1027. We got 1028 B when ready. >> 1028 >> 2 736 1028 B negative 10 4. >> All right, Mr. Eden, here's your stuff back. Everything checks out. You go ahead and drive safe. All right. Have a good rest of your night, sir. >> YouTube. Say again, sir. >> You ain't putting me on YouTube, are you? >> They're just recording me, sir. >> You have a good rest of your >> All right, I understand. >> Yes, sir. You as well. >> Okay. Uh, we're going to a DV. Um, basically this, we get calls like this all the time. It's just a mom who's reporting a family member um who's refusing to leave. Um, and we're going to mitigate to make sure that nothing criminal happened. and there's no >> uh injuries and there's nothing physical. Um, but this is a call we go to all the time and we're just going to go make sure that everything's all right. >> So, I'm let say what I'm going to say to the police and then I'm going to leave. come nowhere. >> I'm going to take them to church like I was going to. >> Hush. Be quiet. >> Tell me what's going on. >> Um, nothing. There has been a little dispute. >> Okay. >> From um I guess my brother >> girlfriend and her and then somehow it spilled over on the phone to something else. >> I told my auntie that I was coming over here to talk to them >> about whatever is going on. Clearly, wherever the miscommunication is going, like I'm coming over here to fight her. I'm one person. It's how many other people in that house, I don't know. When I came over here, >> I guess she has called my cousin who came from maybe his house or wherever he is. And then he coming over here talking about how I'm bullying her and he's going to stop with. I'm right here. I came over here to talk to her, I said. And then he said that they called the police. And then it was, well, if you come up here, then it's going to be X, Y, and Z. And I'm like, I'm not coming up there cuz clearly she didn't want to invite me in. But since you call the police, I'll wait until they come. >> Say what I'm going to say, and then take my kids to the church. >> And these are your kids? >> This is my two kids and my nephew. >> Okay. >> We on our way to the church. I told them, >> you guys, you don't live here, correct? >> I don't. I told Monty I was going to come and speak to them. Apparently, I didn't know it was going to be all of this and then I was coming on here on the way to church to take my kids to vacation Bible school. I didn't know it was going to be when I get here, you locking the door and then he's pulling up and then it turns into a big >> altercation. Remind me one more time. Who is the the beef through? Who is that? Who's upset? Um it I guess it's something happened earlier between my cousin who lives here and um my brother um girlfriend and then she had told me about it. >> So you were just coming to talk to her about it. >> Well, no we had she had said something about it to me over the text message. >> Which one did the >> the cousin here and then my auntie was talking about it and I told my auntie I will just come cuz I'm not going to keep talking back and forth over text. I'll just come cuz stuff could get read the wrong way or whatever. I'll just come and talk to y'all when I'm that way because I live way out there. When I'm that way on my way to vacation Bob, >> did anything physical happen? >> Nothing. Just yelling back and forth. >> Even when he opened the door and said, "Cross this threshold and watch what happened." I said, "No, clearly you don't want me to come in, but since y'all said y'all call the police, I'll wait, give my statement, and then go take them to church." I got >> so uh that was basically just it comes out as as a domestic violence just because in Kansas um anybody over the age of 18 that was a family member or a bunch of other stuff um bunch of other state stats that we have um makes them family which makes it a DV. Um we go out to those calls. It's mandatory by Kansas State stat. Um, but in this case, it was just uh person I talked to. Her brother's girlfriend was having an argument with her cousin and she came over to talk with her cousin to kind of squash the beef and the grandma just wanted her to leave because she thought that she was coming over there to start a fight. So, it was basically just a big old verbal argument that has been avoided cuz the other party left. So, that that's it. So, right now we're going to a burglary in progress. CBS that the individual is breaking in into a house. That's all we got right now. 1316 caller said there's some females uh teenage females that get to the parking lot and they've got two kids that they want. 138 to 133. You got contact with them? >> Yeah, they're talking to him inside right now. He wants me out, fine. I'll leave tomorrow, but I'm not leaving at 4:30 in the evening with no place to go. Okay. >> You can take me to jail, I guess, cuz that's the only place I'd have to stay. >> So, uh, right now, Officer Mackey's verifying the eviction notice, see if it's valid or not, or if he needs to be served. And if he has been served, he has to leave the premises. If he hasn't been served, we'll have to serve him, and then he'll gather what he can and leave the residence. H nice. Well, since he believes it's his residence, it's not illegal to break into your own your own home. But since he hasn't seen that, that's probably why he was under the impression. So, right now, we're going to wait for everything to see what's going on with the the records on the eviction notice and see what the status is. >> Well, this is your notice. Okay. >> Okay. Okay. So, here's what we're going to do, okay? Either we can pack up a small bag and leave. We're going to document it, or we can go to jail. We can't stay here. >> So, you're telling me I just brought all my brought this groceries home? >> Uh-huh. >> That I just sold my blood for and that he can just put me out. >> Yes. The courts have determined that. And this is your service of notice. >> Where we going the trash can? >> No. >> Okay. If you want my ride, >> you need a ride anywhere >> to a shelter. >> Yeah. Unless you want to take me to jail either way. >> We can do that. I'm down here. >> Those are my options. >> You want to give your buddy a call you were talking to? >> Nope. >> No. >> Yeah. I'll put your backpack in here, sir. >> Yeah. Make sure I don't have a gun. >> No, I'm just going to throw it in there, man. You're good. [groaning] >> I don't have any weapons. >> All right. All right. I'm not going to prison for carrying a weapon. I promise. >> All right, sir. Go have a seat. >> Okay. So, uh, Officer Mackey checked the records on the eviction notice. This was his time to be noticed that he was evicted. I guess earlier he mentioned he didn't go to court for it, so granted them the eviction notice. Uh, he's evicted now. Right now, we're taking him to a homeless shelter cuz he has nowhere to live and no emergency contacts to help help him out in his situation. So, that's all we got right now. So, right now we're headed to a business alarm north side of town. It's one of the dollar stores. The alarm company is advising it's an audible alarm and the entry was detected at the front store entrance. So, this dollar store, we've had quite a bit of false alarms, but you can never assume that the next one's going to be a false alarm. So, we have to respond appropriately. So, we're going to be headed that way. We're not too far out. Make sure that the business is secure. Dispatch, stop 11. You show me off duty tonight. >> South 11. Copy. Good night. >> All right, we're arriving on this audible alarm. >> I'll be clear the property in 490 for booking. >> So far, pulling into the store. Pierce code 4. I'm going to go ahead and hop on out and make sure that the uh doors are all secure and that there's nobody actively burglarizing the dollar store. Open sesame. You ever watch that Spongebob episode? I was like [snorts] open sesame. It's Patrick. [snorts] Feels like a little dirt bike or something. Is it? >> No. >> Yeah. Just trash. Well, it looks like everything's secure. Another false alarm over here at the dollar store. Six seven traffic parking David Nevada 8750 Charles one on a great Chevy traverse. Hello sir justice of the sheriff's office just stopping you. You're just going 62. I'm not sure if you realize that in 45. >> No, no worries. As long as as long as it's valid and up today, I should be able to check on the license plate. Uh if it's not, I'll let you know. So, let me just log all your information real quick and be right back. Okay. All right. You haven't had many tickets, so just a warning. Okay. Um, there's about 45 is all. So, >> yeah. Sorry about that. >> It happens. >> I was getting heavy on the pedal. >> Yeah, it's good. You're all good. I appreciate you. >> Awesome. Have a good day. Have a great day. >> Thanks. You, too. >> All right. All right. So, we're on our way over to a domestic, a possible domestic. Um, they're really not answering any questions. They just said that female and male arguing. Somebody said their face is messed up and they're not answering any questions from deputies. I mean, from dispatch. So, we're going way over there, figure out what's going on. Sheriff's office. Come out. Sheriff's Office. >> Move, dogs. Move. >> Sheriff's office. Where is he at? >> What? >> Where is he at? >> He's at Maros. >> Hey, is that where he's in my face? >> South one expedite. Please come here. >> He's around the corner. Where's around the corner >> in this same park? >> 800 Facebook. >> Her face is pretty beat up. She said he said he's over at Marcos's house just in the exact direction. >> What? What happened? >> Yes. said something. >> Must said something. Can I come over here? Let me see that. See your face. >> You just came in here or he came in here? >> He just >> What'd he hit you with? >> He hit me now. >> That's fresh. What happened? >> Careful. Do you need medics? >> What? >> Do you need medical attention? Do you need medical attention? >> Do you need medical attention? I'm not a medic. I'm a police officer. >> So, do you need medics? >> James. >> Hey. >> I didn't I know. I didn't know. >> Okay. Hey, I didn't No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. >> I did not do nothing. >> Don't be reaching in the back when I show up here. >> I'm trying to look for my air pump so I can go to work. >> K94, I got James detained. >> No, I need you to wait inside. All right. Nobody's under arrest at the moment. All right. But I'm going to I just have to read your rights just because you're in handcuff. All right. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can't be used against you in the court of law. >> You have the right to attorney have been present before during any question. You understand your rights. >> What's going on today? Why am I here? >> I know. I just I just came home. She sit there and start screaming. She's been drunk all night. >> Why'd you have a giant bash on her head? >> She barely fell. I wouldn't even hear. I just got I just got home and I'm going to work. >> You know what I mean? That's it. That's what she decided to call you guys because whatever. She's mad at me or whatever. >> K94. >> You guys are out here for the same stuff all the time. She goes happy on 911. I don't know that was she was she was like that when I came in the door. She just got back from the store getting beer for >> I walked in. >> She's denying medical attention. you stay with him for a second. >> I don't know what's in that bag, but I as soon as I walked out, he start reaching in the bag. So, >> stay back, bud. >> Just advising it comes back to Barbara at night. Trying to find her local Copy. >> Gina. >> Okay. What happened? I need you to tell me what happened. She has about >> You don't want to tell me what's happened or you can't? It's okay. What happened? Protect himself, right? >> Yes. So, what happened? >> Okay. Um I don't remember exactly so I can't tell you that. All I know is hit me. Lean down through me. And the room is >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Oh, dog just bit my leg. All right, Jame, you still sticking to that story? >> What? >> You still sticking to that story you told me? >> Story? Yeah, it is a story. >> Okay. Well, >> she she's drunk. She That's why I wasn't here last night. >> She's got prior to this. >> Did you hear anything? She said, >> Gina, >> no. >> No. >> The south one, you didn't come through. >> What subject's negative falling? coming later once we go over. >> Okay. Well, she had a nasty mark on her head. >> That's I was there when I got here. I just got home 30 minutes. I changed clothes and then I come out here and my tires flat. So, I went over there in the back to see if they had a pump. I didn't touch her. >> I never do. You can ask him. Friers on her. >> She got a nasty mark on her head. So, he's going to be gone. >> Sounds good. So, you're being arrested in my car. >> I want I want charge on her. Fine. >> [clears throat] >> I haven't searched the wallet or anything. Uh when I showed up, I had uh one female who I was talking to. She was visibly upset when I first walked inside. Um she has a really big mark on the right side of her, right side of her head. She said her husband pushed her. Um while we were there, the husband actually ended up walking back over. um start reaching inside of a bag, which is never a good choice when the cops are there. So, he's immediately detained. Um ultimately, he was placed into custody for domestic battery. She's claiming that he pushed her and she smacked her head on the ground and that's what gave her the mark. He's saying none of that happened. Uh but the physical evidence shows otherwise. So, he's going to [music] be in custody for that today. Let's go around. [music]
