police officers are often asked to
perform tasks for which they have no
training to do
in today's video
officers were flagged down by a person
who saw a raccoon that had been hit by a
vehicle
that person wanted the raccoon to be
saved
the officers that we responded to scene
called every animal rescue and animal
control facility that they could find
and nobody was able to help
so the officers had to be resourceful
and find a way to take care of this on
their own
that's what you're going to see today

got were automated lines um
there's like a hospital for this kind of
thing up on billingsley we could take
them drop it out
i called out the odnr and they tried to
transfer me somewhere to uh have someone
come out and put it down but he's out of
the office and the out of the office
number i called no longer in service
some kind of stuff

well we got a dog pool we're gonna try
to get that out here
we've got one of those dog poles with a
rope on the end we're gonna try to use
