I'm going to back. YOU'RE NOT DONE YET. >> OR NOT. HOW'S IT GOING? >> HEY. >> HEY BABY, y'all want to come in? >> Yeah. >> What y'all want to do? >> Can we stand out here and talk? >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's fine. >> So, what's going on? >> So, my girlfriend and I were cycling. This happened only like 20 minutes ago. So, here comes this white Mercedes hauling. Hauling. So, she's coming down and so like I do my hands like, you know, slow down cuz we had just passed all kinds of old people walking >> Yeah. >> in all of these areas, right? So, we're telling her to slow down. She screamed out if you throws me the bird up. You can still hear cussing as she's going by. She never let up. I mean, she was going 40 plus easy. She There was dust There was dust coming from behind the car. >> So, we just kept going and minding our own >> So, yeah, we said, you know, and Tiarra said, she's crazy and I said, she's probably drunk. I mean, we just We don't know that, you know, but I just said that. I said, you know, but who does that and cuz we've all probably had somebody go to slow down. You just do it and be done with it, right? >> Yeah. >> Yep. >> So, then Adam was in front of me and I was behind him on the bike. >> So, I said, >> watch out, she's coming back around. So, about, you know, maybe a minute later, >> I mean, we We heard her coming. >> right here, the car and I go, oh my god, she's coming back around. And I go, get off the street. And so, I had to pull off into another road cuz she was She was coming in fast. And, you know, what you I don't know, but I wasn't going to take a chance cuz we didn't have our helmets. >> But, we were just tooling. >> And he said, Adam, she's coming, get out of the way. And so, he jumps off >> Well, I >> with his bike >> Well, I I get way over to the side. She came up and cut me off and and right off my front wheel. Like, if I had If I'd have kept going, she'd have hit me. >> She didn't actually hit you. >> No, she didn't actually hit me. No. So, I had to go up and >> to intimidate us cuz we >> to intimidate. And so, she was screaming out, do you live on this street?" I said, "Ma'am, it doesn't matter where I live. where we live. You shouldn't drive like that." And she's just letting out cuss words, F you, blah blah blah. You don't You don't live on this street. You can't tell me what to do. And I said, "That's fine. I'll just get your tag number." >> And so as soon as we set back >> as we set back >> she pulled into a driveway and then >> backed up and then tried to And then almost tried to hit us again as she was backing up. >> But we moved out of the way. >> Yeah, we moved out of the way and she tore off on down the street. So she I would think she lives somewhere down Okay. You know, near the lake. >> Where all the kind of confusion is is it said something about a weapon was involved. >> Oh, no. We never said anything about that. It was in the car. >> Okay. >> Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. The car was a weapon. >> Yeah. >> Yes. >> This might sound like a silly question, but I'm going to ask it cuz the how the statute reads, were you scared she was going to try to hit you with that car? >> Absolutely. 100%. That's why That's why you >> That's why I was so scared. >> I know it sounded like a silly question, but per the way statute reads, did you have to be like in genuine fear that the car was about to hit you? >> Absolutely. Absolutely. 100%. >> Are you guys going to write a statement about it? >> Absolutely. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Yeah. >> want to go get the paperwork on that? >> Um this young lady has been read Miranda. She said that she understood her rights and she agrees to answer our questions. Um she claims to have no idea what I'm referring to except now she remembers that somebody gave her a bird, albeit for no reason. >> You asked me and I told you that someone shot me a bird >> Yes. >> on this road down here. >> Before that I asked you if there was any type of altercation or incident with anybody in the neighborhood and you said no. Uh excuse me if I'm a little upset. I'm sorry. Mis confused. Um so feel free to ask her whatever you'd like to ask her. >> So the person that is filing the complaint says that they were riding their bikes and got closer down to here. >> I live Yes. >> Yeah. And then they seen you flying down the road. They waved for you to slow down and then you sped by. Then they heard you turn back around. >> No. No. >> And then cut them off and try to hit them with your car. >> true whatsoever. That is not true. >> Why are you so defensive? I'm just trying to explain to you what I'm trying to explain to you what I'm trying to talk. You're just trying to override me and take control of the situation. That's exactly what it sounds like. >> Well, I'm not doing that. >> So, let me explain. Whenever you made the U-turn is what they said that you cut them off and almost hit them. And then you started yelling obscenities at them. And then they said that they'll just call the cops and wouldn't give them your tag number. In which time you pulled into another driveway and then as you went to back out, you waited till they got closer and tried to run them over. >> Not true whatsoever. >> sped off. >> But what why would I mean that's a pretty that's a pretty exaggerated story for someone to just make up off the top of their head. So, >> Did I come down this road? Yes, I did. Did I turn back around after he shot me a bird? And I went back there? Yes, I did. Did I turn into a neighbor's driveway? Yes, I did. And then I came back. Did I try to run them over? No, I did not. I would never do anyone like that. >> what when after you drove by and they gave you the middle finger and you made a U-turn to go back, what was your intent? What were you what were you trying to accomplish by doing that? >> The same thing you would do. What would you do? If someone did that to you. You're a cop, but >> Keep going in my because I'm an adult. And middle people giving me the middle finger don't hurt my feelings because if it did, I wouldn't have a job. People give me the middle finger five times a day. Somebody gave me the middle finger yesterday when they were driving by me. You know why? Because the side of my car says police. And I'll tell you something else. I'm a grown man. People giving me a finger on their hand that they were blessed with by the god does not offend me. It doesn't hurt my feelings. It doesn't evoke an emotional response from me. So, I don't feel the need to turn around in someone's driveway to go back to try to accomplish something to prove that I'm a bigger man. I keep driving. I go on about my day. I do what I'm trained to do and live my life. And I'm sorry when if this is going to come out offensively, you're an old older lady. You are way more mature than I could probably ever be. And the fact that you feel the need to make a U-turn and drive and confront somebody for giving you the middle finger escapes me. I can't for the life of me think of why you would do that. And for you to assume that I'm just going to automatically take your side like, "Oh yeah, I would I'd make the same U-turn and go back and confront him." Also escapes me because that's not a reasonable response by anybody. That's not something that civilized people do. What does them giving you the middle finger affect your life? How does it ruin your day? How does it change the way that you're going to come home and enjoy your Sunday night? It doesn't. So, for someone to say that you did that and you've already admitted that you made a U-turn to confront them for some reason leaves me to believe that you're not being truthful. Just like the fact when I asked you if something occurred and you said no and then all of a sudden you start adding pieces to the puzzle. >> I'm I'm being very honest. I'm not being a >> not. This is not my first day at work. And if you want to yell at me, I can yell at you, too. >> I'm not yelling at you, but you're not going to talk down to me when you when you were not here to know the exact story. >> I've been doing this for 8 years. I don't have to be here to piece it together. Correct. Yes. 8 years. I don't have to be here to piece together a story. And I am very good at knowing when people are not being honest with me. It would blow your mind how good I am at that. >> I just told him the truth of what happened. >> conveniently left all that out the first time I >> I I DIDN'T leave anything out for you. I told him because to me him, I could feel like I could relate to him. >> So, okay. >> Because you were coming on to me a little bit strong. >> Right. >> Yeah, you were. >> Okay. >> You were. >> We call that deception in my line of work, too. >> Well, I'm not deceptive. I can promise you that. >> I disagree respectfully. Without trying to pass to try I I don't know what you were trying to do there. What was your intent for making a U-turn to go back and confront them? What what what were you trying to accomplish by doing that? >> Apparently nothing. Per you per you, nothing. I shouldn't have done that. I should not have gone back to him, but when the man shot me a bird, it pissed me off. >> I I like I said, I I agree with you on that, but Come on, be honest. What make you mad you? You can say what you please and I wouldn't >> I don't care. It doesn't change my life at all. He's not paying my bills. He's not >> Then I need to start I need to start living my life like you then. >> I'm if if it keeps you out of trouble, then you probably should. Because >> Cuz in the villages it's very It happens all the time. >> Well, you know, that's I think that's a choice that people make when they choose to live in an upscale community. That's That's That's on them. >> I grew up here. I'm not I'm not a Yankee that came here to live in here. I've lived here all my life. >> Never said >> My mother has a gun shop in Wildwood since 1973. I'm not a new I'm not a newbie here. >> I never said that you were. I never said that you were. I never even insinuated that you were. This is an upscale neighborhood. People are a little uh for lack of a better word, no offense intended, they're a little uptight. Stuff like that's going to happen. And like I said, I don't think it's very far-fetched, their story. They might be exaggerating a touch, but >> A touch they are, I can promise you. I would never try to run anyone over, believe me. >> Like I said, you you you still haven't given me a really solid reason as to what you were doing when you made a U-turn to go and confront them. You haven't given me a a a a thought process, uh what your intentions were, or anything. >> I told you that probably was a wrong move. I shouldn't have done that. That's what I said. >> I agree, but that again, hindsight's 20/20. So, what what was your thought process at the time you were doing it? >> I don't have a thought process. I mean, it was wrong for me to go back when the man did what he did to me. That's why I went back. That's my only answer to you. >> did you say anything to him when you drove by? I I mean, were you just I I don't I'm just trying to genuinely understand >> Whatever he said to you is what I said. >> I don't know what he said. I would I haven't talked to him. I'm asking you because I wasn't there. >> When he threatened me and he said >> you? Because you also left that part out of the story that's just now coming to light. >> YOU KNOW WHAT? I DON'T KNOW. YOU'RE TRYING to pick and pick and pick and I don't like that. This is the first time in the 15 minutes that you and I have been talking to me and you mentioned >> are we going here with this? Just curious. >> We're still trying to get your side of the story because you >> There's not a side of story. Long story short, he chased me he came here he went that way I went that way and I he I pulled into my neighbor's driveway, went down the street who I know and um he said I got your license plate. I said good. He said whatever he said I said [ __ ] you. But he shot me a bird first. >> So he chased you on the he's riding >> He didn't chase me >> That's what you just said. >> That's what you just said. Those were your exact words. >> [laughter] >> Literally. >> He did not chase me. >> he chased you on his bike. >> That's what you said. Those I promise you as sure as I stand here before you, the exact words that came out of your mouth were that he chased you. You guys were going the same direction and you said >> chase me. He was making the loop as he did in that way and I was coming to my house here. >> Just so you know, so you're aware, so you can't say that you weren't warned. This entire conversation has been recorded on my body camera and it's absolutely unequivocally going to say that you just said he chased you. >> He did not chase me. >> Then why would you say that? >> Like I said my words mixed up. He didn't chase me. He came this way he went around going back out of the loop. >> Okay. So again I >> He did not chase me. >> Okay, I understand. I We cleared that up. I'm just going to ask one more time because again I still haven't really gotten an answer. What What were you doing when you made the U-turn to go drive by him again for the second time? >> For the When I came here to go back for the I'm going to call it the first time here to there was because he shot me a bird and that's why I went back that way. >> I understand why you did it. I don't understand what you were trying to accomplish with your >> I apparently have nothing. Apparently apparently nothing. I I don't have an answer for you. You keep asking me the same >> Because you haven't given me an answer. >> I don't have an answer apparently. >> Okay. Fair enough. All right, turn around put your hands behind your back you're under arrest. >> I'm going to back >> You're not GOING TO FIGHT. >> LET ME OUT. LET ME OUT. LET ME OUT. >> TURN AROUND. >> STOP IT. I'M SITTING ON MY FLOOR. >> PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. >> STOP IT. LET ME OUT. LET ME OUT. >> TURN AROUND. >> I'M sitting on my >> Get back up. You are not coming over here. >> I smell I smell like [ __ ] Let me take a bath, please. >> No. >> Nope. >> Let's go. >> Go. Walk. >> Come on. >> What did I do? >> Go. >> Can't she have her phone, too? >> I just let me check the tension on them. >> Well, you were under arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Now you're under >> I didn't know that. >> Now you're under arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and resisting an officer without >> [ __ ] What? >> Yeah. When I tell you to turn around, put your hands behind your back and you take off running and try to fight us, that's a crime. So. >> I didn't try to I don't have anything on me. >> Hang on. Hang on. I'm going to loosen this one up just a little bit. Lean up against right here. Lean. Lean. There you go. >> A deadly weapon? I I I've never >> I've said I've seen her. Do you have anything in your pockets or on you? >> I don't know. >> Okay. So, we're going to have a female search you here shortly, okay? >> I have nothing on me except [ __ ] and that's what I'm embarrassed about. that. >> Okay. >> Make sure you don't have >> I'm going to have to take her pants. My knee's wet. >> It's aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, right? >> Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and then we're we're doing resisting. >> Oh, yeah. >> Without violence, correct? Okay. >> Uh I ran her >> We're not going to I'm sure we're probably not going to be able to get the license plate for the car. So. >> They seem to be very confident with what the license plate was. >> Yeah, I just uh uh we'll just have them have them add the car cuz she said she I guess they own three Mercedes and two of them are white Mercedes convertibles. So, she said. So. >> That >> Just so you know, and I'll do a supplement too, obviously, but I asked her post Miranda, I was like, "Have you been on a drive recently? Have you been out? And she said, yes, but she said she couldn't give me an approximate time. And then she said it was within the last 2 hours. That's all she said. And she couldn't be more specific than that. And then um I asked her, you know, was there any type of altercation with someone walking on the road? She said, no. And then she started building up to it, well, some guy shot me the middle finger. And then when you got here it turned into, oh, well, I turned around to go confront him. She won't tell us why. Now she's telling us that he chased her and then she's telling us that he didn't. So. Um I don't know, but yeah. >> Yeah. >> That's uh that's that. >> So, we're all going to just wait for the her the statements. I guess she'll send me the >> Yeah, just >> statements. >> Just go to the jail and I'll have I'll make sure she sends you a picture of the statements. >> Sounds good. >> What will they do when I get here, both? >> So, whenever we go in >> Yeah. >> Um hopefully they have a female cuz they're going to search you cuz I'm going to let them know that we didn't get to do a full full search of you cuz we didn't have a female with us and but with us fighting on the ground with you. We didn't feel anything anyways. >> I would never fight anyone. I just had to go number two bad. I've been taking this medication for hemorrhoids and that's why I went inside. >> Hey, here's But here's the deal. As soon as we said you were under arrest that was when you bolted. That's not a good way to start that conversation. Let her step over right here. >> Please don't hold that against me. That's personal. >> I don't hold nothing against you. Okay, so before we go in there, I'm going to ask you the same thing I ask everybody before I take them in there. You don't have anything on you in you? >> No, nothing. Nothing. >> I just ask because you if you bring contraband in there they can go add another charge. So. >> No, I have nothing on me. >> Okay. >> In me except maybe a suppository and that was way earlier this morning. >> Got you. >> Nothing. >> Okay. >> If you want to um take her straight to the back and pat her down in the shower area so she can swap clothes. >> Okay. >> All right. Take this with you. >> And I can get rid of these clothes? >> I don't want to get rid of this shirt. >> Okay. >> I I literally can't get rid of them, but when you go to leave, because of what is going to happen, only then I can copy something else from the lady at the door. >> Okay.
