continued to just refuse to even even acknowledge me at that point he uh he kept talking on the phone now with a clearer understanding of what happened the uncle apologizes on his behalf ashamed of with a a minor in the car you know she's still she's still 17 um I will say this at this point the the the female's mom doesn't want to do anything at this time with him driving intoxicated cuz he could look at another a charge of uh contributing to the delinquency of a minor cuz she cuz she still is 17 the passenger in the car a 17-year-old girl becomes part of the investigation as well officers consider potential charges for the driver related to contributing to the delinquency of a minor but at this point you know she doesn't want to do that um and I think again a little bit of it too I mean the girl like the girl had some weed and all that um but I mean nobody nobody was charged with anything like that the only thing he got charged with was no so he did get so I it wasn't from us um because the other person I had there was a Florida Highway Patrol uh a trooper and he um he was assisting me on the traffic stop and they took over the they did a DUI uh investigation and they did charge him with it again he did refu he did refuse to blow and all that um so again his license most likely probably just be suspended um and he may have to to do like a course or two but that's that might be it um but the only thing he got from me was just resisting uh resisting an officer with without violence which is a misdemeanor if he would have done anything more it would have been a felony but it's I only it's only a misdemeanor at this point the teen is officially charged with resisting an officer without violence his license faces potential suspension and he may have to create the illusion of sufficient funds to cover checks the checks often stolen or altered or cashed quickly before the fraud can be detected so explain to me one more time you were saying they were putting money into the account so what they do is they have an account with us right so they deposit cash in and then they get checks tables to them and they they must steal the checks or whatever cuz they get they have different ones and they go around so they put money and say let's say she deposited $900 today or whatever right so what they do is they come around and they cash these checks because it looks like they have enough to cover the check so they cash the Jack they pull all the money and then they're gone and they just and they hit all the branches in the area all of our branches um and um they have different checks now this isn't a Region's check so I don't I don't know but hang on he's um hang I'm trying to call him so he he called the other Branch so he knows hang with us so there's like a ring them or she does okay yeah so they like have like a ring of people and what they do is they deposit like cash and they account like 900 bucks okay they got multiple checks I don't know if you would see this when I can show you a picture I couldn't print it any better but they went she went to Cortez Road at like earlier today at like 12 1:00 today and she had a different completely different trck for $743 so what they try to do is they say what's my available balance oh I have $900 in there so they know they $900 sometimes Banks don't know any other and what they'll do they'll cash the check against the $900 saying that they have we're we're kind of wondering though how they're do you have any idea this young woman unknowingly or otherwise is part of a larger operation targeting Banks across the region I mean is does this Sharon Jones report this check stolen or is it a I mean is um well Lisa Francis is calling me because there's a different check that she had so it's a completely different person yeah so I don't she's going to give me the details on that one and is that one a branch me I haven't verified this one yet but um hang on me you so surren as an account with okay she's claiming she check so at least the the branch manager cuz they always look like almost like the same handwriting has somebody same thing um yesterday that came in they hit they hit all of our locations so they hit three or four locations with three or four different tracks they were trying to get us to cash it and then they pull their 900 out and then they fire during the commission of a felon that's what I oh my what on M so you've got CCW fire so you're trying to add you're going to have like five fon why are you trying to make it work got uttering concealed fire alter Cal I thinkon with things take a darker turn and it's clear this young adult is in deeper trouble than she may realize she didn't I mean we'll look it up I think that's what merely possessing it while committ cuz she's not using it it wasn't used you know it wasn't part of that so there's no well what are we waiting on now he's calling C I mean we can probably go ahead and lo out yeah I can't I can't run this I was going to try to run it um I have a question 61 so being that I've never been in a situation before and this I know I'm doing it so I take responsibility for even the gun is crazy like this is not very because I have nothing to do with that and yeah I'll take responsibility but like there's no way I can get out of it because it was in my purse but something on you it's going to be another phony charge okay the teen is arrested and charged with uttering a forged instrument and carrying a concealed firearm these charges carry significant
