[Applause] [Music] [Applause] J so officer hul located a vehicle that investigations is currently looking for in reference to previous burglaries um located the vehicle um uh and the vehicle he just sent a text saying that the vehicle hold on okay um that he couldn't get prob calls to stop the vehicle when he was behind it he believes the vehicle pulled into McDonald's we're going to go see if we can locate it and get proba calls to stop it and then get an investigator outside or to us where they can talk to him about the burglars I'm trying to see if it's here we're going to go wait see if we can get it to leave so officer hul is at a nearby Hotel uh he's got eyes on the the vehicle from where he is uh we stationed ourselves a little bit to the east East so when the vehicle backs up to leave we'll be able to get behind it uh the front windshield is completely shattered and that's our PC to be able to stop the vehicle next vehicle your assigned call has been updated 7:30 30 10:30 now 1039 the colors snow Street on the silver four tours 1028 is Alpha 107 Mike Hotel hey are you my name is Officer re off Police Department reason I stopped you is your Shar should windshield oh yeah what happened I just have to know you have to know cuz you missing it's actually a story oh I know it's actually multiple windows it's actually a story okay look me and my wife went down to my uh mobile yeah well we went we actually went to gol Shores okay and uh we stayed in the hotel in Mobile did not know how rough mobile was I guess yeah were you in Mobile or Pritchard mobile okay it was down and uh she backed into somebody like like she coming out of the hotel parking lot just backed into him and she's like oh my God I'm so sorry whatever he jumped out of the car and was like what the [ __ ] had like a gun on his hip and he grabbed his tire iron and just started busting out our windows and was like pissed off like he busted out the back window man it sounds like you were in Pritchard and I was like and I was I was asleep in the hotel room she came running up there she's like oh my God call the police call the police and I was like what's going on and yeah so that's what happened to that and that happened about four or five days ago so we just got back wow yeah you got your driver's license PR insurance I don't have my driver's license on me but I do have ins okay do you have an Alabama driver's license I'm I should have got my Alabama okay give me one second I'll Bear right back 7:33 10:27 through Georgia the name dead of birth goad first name's Andrew middle name's Jameson last name nist November India Sierra Tango dead birth subject sh99 Bravo through gon Police Department sta property for T 79 contct the owner you step out for me you have any weapons anything on poke me stick me hurt me when you step out I'm ask you PL your phone on top of the car turn the face the car don't reach in any pockets I'm just going to patch down make sure you don't to be detained okay this the gas thing they not going to um they're not uh what call it going okay till they confirm that we're just going to we detained what do you have in Gess we stopped Mr nest for obstructed windshield um clearly doesn't even have a back windshield uh he's showing a possible warrant out of gadston but due to Manpower they cannot extradite or come down here or meet us to pick him or pick him up on the warrant so we're riding he does not have an Alabama driver's license he's been here for over a year the vehicle's registered to him with a pedmont address so he should have an Alabama driver's license but he does not so we're writing him a citation for no driver's license and a warning for his obst structured wind windshield uh he was released he's got a meeting with investigators Tuesday at 1:30 so officer McFarland uh just stopped this vehicle and we're going to go back her up just one he was like I don't know maybe 60 70 down 78 booking it booking it so I caught up to him down here he didn't use his blinker so I pulled him over it's just a kid says he got off of work at the exchange and just come here to get a drink and I guess he lives in Hopson [Music] City but the cars registered to his dad um I saw him speeding down down one of our main roads and uh when I caught up to him he didn't use his blinker when he made a left hand turn so I pulled him over for that oh six yeah [Music] probably hey can you put your mom on speaker for me is that who you're talking to can you tell her back hey I'm sorry this is office of McFarland from oord Police Department I just wanted to talk to you I ran his tag and it it it's coming back confirmed insurance I'm just going to let them get out of here but I wanted to let you know the reason why I he grabbed my attention he was doing an extreme High rate of speed on 78 and that's the reason why he caught my attention I got behind him he didn't use his blinker and that's why I pulled him over but I just wanted to let you know if he can continues to keep driving the way that he's driving at that rate of speed something bad is really going to happen to him yes ma'am so I'm I'm looking through the phone trying to find the insurance I know the number but you know I I didn't have a document I got it programmed inside the phone okay all right that's no problem just make sure when you do find it make sure that he gets a copy of it on his phone so if he does get pulled over we'll take photoc copies also okay okay I appreciate it thank you so much no problem I just want to least let you know why he is uh being just looked at a little bit more than uh a a blinker okay all right thank you all right you guys have a good night you too all right goodbye byebye you're not getting a ticket I'm not going to give you your first ticket you're only 16 you need to slow down you will die if you ever get into a car accident that high rate of speed okay hey man look man I was 16 I know what it feels like to feel invincible okay I get it but you do not want to get speeding tickets at 16 because your insurance goes so high and it won't drop until you're 25 I promise I know I promise I know I got enough speeding tickets in my life I know okay you don't need them so just slow down it ain't that important okay all right you have a good night thank you appreciate it so I spoke with the driver's mom due to his age and to let her know that he was going as fast as he was so then she can actually talk to him later on and inform him how dangerous that speed is so after I was done talking to her me and officer Reeves talked to him and explained everything a little bit more in detail and then I cut him loose 735 1081 all right so we're pulling up on scene at a con l a person standing at the hotel called and said um here called and said somebody knocked on her door appear to be homeless asking for help so we're going to get out here and see what's going on with her make sure she's okay they had a similar call about a suspicious person's last night and it might end up being the same person gray hoodie okay is this it right here yes I believe so that's this other metal I guess loading up her other guy loading up check yeah hello Ox PD hey how are you not good what's going on can we talk to you for a second still a got a rod a rod yeah y'all deal with me all night last night okay to your house yeah he we we can take you somewhere the thing is we can't know what my address is where do I live I want know way too much information but but well we're trying to help you got to give you a ride out of the city and get you home and the the thing is we can't just take you to another city and drop you off at a gas station cuz people are going to call there and then like at Hein then hein's going to be mad at us for doing that so we don't want to do that but if you give us an address we can take you to the address if he ain't going to take me there then I guess I'm walking okay I mean that's not really much help you I guess okay I mean we're going to we'll try to help you but if you're denying it I mean there's nothing else we can do you need to walk there you're welcome to mind if we R your ID yes sir yall can do that watch what's your name Grace Grace Kelly watch that's your last name is Kelly Grace Kelly okay do you have an Alabama ID or no no I mean I want to say I'm homeless no I got you I mean I do but I don't have a license say what's your date of birth um I just never replied where are you originally from here from Alabama okay 735 1029 name no I got you so how'd you end up in Oxford just curious honestly I came up here because I want my steps my boyfriend SK his birthday yesterday okay I came to Walmart so I got stranded and now I'm just sitting here like I never made it there they're probably wonder where the hell I'm at I don't know any numbers off my hand I guess he's going to make a phone call see if we can't do something can't guarantee it but is it ma' your name's Grace Kelly is that right yeah yeah we are oh really want J don't tell anybody that's your mama yeah it's awesome she's so rich you know she could she could probably call anybody from me right now but guess what she don't give a [ __ ] and what's her name again she don't give a [ __ ] no me what's her name your mom's name what's her name are you being funny no I got an officer on the phone that was asking about you you just said it did did y'all get calls on her last night I think we should record this and put this out there I'm going to sell this to the news why n judge's daughter hey sorry H sorry cold can't even get a ride can't get any support help from her family I just flattened an 8year sentence we are okay uh no basically I'm not selling drugs I'm not selling myself I'm trying to do what I'm saying I mean if I was selling drugs and doing wrong I don't think I'd be like walking right yeah no I I got you the harder somebody the harder somebody tries out here to honestly do right in the world man the system is is very flaw yeah it think about you're homeless and you're starting now let's get this on camera okay think about it somebody's homeless right so they're sleeping in the woods okay number one they can they don't have proper hygiene so how the hell is somebody supposed to walk into an establishment and be respected and given a job when you can't physically take care of yourself right thanks no shelters that's an opportunity y'all got a homeless shelter here no unfortunately we don't oh no I'm just I'm getting this for for the for the uh recording okay so someone say why don't you go to a shelter what shelter let's call 911 to get you some help well look hey last time and then we'll leave you alone did you say you have an address in heing you you would like us to give you a ride to my personal address it's my boyfriend's house I mean is he okay can you show if you can show me something where he's okay with you come in there my sergeant I can give you a ride man I ain't shown nobody nothing I want nobody have a good day okay all right we'll see you be careful all right all right try to help somebody out and they're not willing to all work with us we tried to help do what we did do what we can do tried to give her a ride all right well that was uh yeah she sent me a message and told me and I guess so wait is it really yeah I thought no it's was that was that was that um oh yeah all right so we got a call for a suspicious persons in the area um she's just walking around no crime has been committed she hasn't done anything illegal we just got out with her see if we could give her some help she uh denied our help so we we'll try to give people rides if we can right if calls permitting things like that but we need a specific address to take a person to because we're not just going to drop them off in some other city so another jurisdiction has to deal with that we don't want that happening us we're not going to do that to another another Police Department um she refused to give us an address to take her to she said she had a place in hefin but she she refused to give us an actual address so at that point there's nothing else we can do so uh I'm sure we'll get more calls on her throughout the day but if we do we'll get out with her and deal with it then so ma'am officer tombs and officer Gunner badge number 737 Toms and Gunner yes ma'am y get that F two yes ma'am now you know Toms and Gunner Toms and Gunner [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]
