[Music] [Applause] Hello, I'm Sergeant Pannis, public information supervisor for the St. Louis County Police Department. This critical incident briefing is intended to provide you with information about an officer involved shooting that occurred on March 30th, 2025 in the 10,700 block of Page Avenue in St. Louis County, Missouri. As part of our commitment to transparency, we will show you relevant video footage, evidence, and the law enforcement response to this incident. Because this investigation is still active, our goal is to provide you with a better understanding of what occurred based on what we know up to this point. This portrayal is not intended to draw any conclusions about whether the officers involved acted consistently with their department's policies and the law. The St. Louisis County Police Department conducts thorough use of force investigations, which typically require detectives to interview multiple witnesses, view numerous hours of video footage, and analyze a significant amount of forensic evidence. Investigations involving uses of force could take several months to complete and remain active until all the facts are known and the investigation is finalized. A word of caution. The images you are about to see may be disturbing and you may hear strong or coarse language. When a police officer uses force to arrest a suspect or to defend themselves or innocent victims against an attack, it can be graphic and difficult to watch. Viewer discretion is strongly advised. I'm Lieutenant Colonel Jerry Lore, Commander of the Division of Criminal Investigation. On Sunday, March 30th, 2025, St. Louis County Police Crimes Against Persons Detectives were requested by the Overland Police Department to investigate an officer involved shooting that occurred in unincorporated St. Louis County. At approximately 7:45 a.m., an Overland Police officer made an investigative stop in a gas station parking lot in the 10,700 block of Page Avenue. The stop was the result of an alert notifying officers of a white 2015 Chevrolet Sonic wanted for aggravated battery to a police officer in Caseyville, Illinois. Officers on scene approached the vehicle and ordered a passenger and the driver to exit the vehicle. The passenger complied. The driver, however, exited the vehicle and attempted to evade the officer. The officer wrestled the driver to the ground. During the struggle, the officer fired his service weapon, striking the suspect once in the arm. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot injury. You are about to hear relevant police radio traffic of the officer's response to this incident. Can you run a plate for me? Go ahead. Victor Henry Paul here.
