on December 15th 2023 the Orange County Sheriff Office was called to the scene at Disney World for reports of a potential theft at the theme park the following shows the body-worn camera footage of what happened during the incident so the story is a party saw somebody that had ears that they lost a long time ago so they went to grab it and they got to like a little scuffle the party that took the ears started walking away and apparently threw away the ears I don't know threw away evidence or whatever and then kept on walking and that's how we came the party that stole the ear said that they also got pushed by the second party he should so the individual stated that these were ears that they had lost a long time ago so out of the B this person's like those are mine and try to snatch it sounds like she ay on whoever was wearing the ears guys stories AR in all right so this is one party where's the other party they're supposed to be on their way they're left before us I don't know where they were he cuz y'all are the first ones we saw come out sorry sorry all right so that's one party the other part in you talk to no I'm going to go talk to them well she might be a victim too a batter but if she started she walked up to her and yanked [ __ ] off her hand then she was defending herself sorry that's just what I would do snatching something from me you in the face is she in there no he's I all right what's going on what happened we were on the Buzz Light On The Buzz Light you're Ryan yes okay my daughter got off turned around oh crap I left my ears on the on the ride okay her and Mom get get it together they run back over there try to get back over there to get the ears this lady comes out she's got the ears on and everything oh I bought these a year ago last year they're did they've been discontinued for like three four years now my daughter has her Lounge fly with the gingerbread everything that's her whole aesthetic what she had on and she kept laughing as she kept laughing She's Walking Away laugh haha you'll never get those back so she comes back over there my daughter comes back crying me she like she got she took my ears and she laughed about she know she had them and she wouldn't give them back I went over I'm like hey you stole my daughter's ears she's a kid are you serious and she was like I didn't feel anything I grabbed the ear and I pulled it over okay and then she's like no those are mine I'm like you didn't buy these These are hers here's her backpack and everything to match it all this stuff was together she's like no no then her husband comes over he's pushing and shoving he's pushing her out of the way pushing me trying to get to me I'm like dude stop and they're like just let it go just let it go so they're taking they're running off doing everything I just dropped I'm like you know what let him have it I don't care I want to leave and he I walked off so the gentleman pushed you out of the way how did he push you to I was trying to get forward and he kind of shoved me with one hand like get out of the way to go after him do you have any bruises and he's like you feel okay do you need medical no and then he pushed you correct yeah okay did he how how many times did he push you just the once okay was it one hand two hands or just like he I don't even remember at that point I'm like dude I'm not about to play this game you know it's my daughter my daughter standing right there with the backpack on and everything okay he's like it doesn't matter I'm like dude it's the same thing uhhuh your your wife's got on Mickey Mouse sweater with red and white stripes on it don't even match this all of a sudden she has this so who was it that snatched the uh PI from your daughter that she didn't stand my daughter took and left him on the ride and then she got off the ride with okay and she saying she had him when she came in the park and say I'm like I don't know at that point I'm like whatever how much time had gone by so so y'all got off the ride and you're daugh a realize they hadn't even finished going completely around cuz we went back to the cast members and that's when your daughter was like Hey I forgot my ears yeah and did you guys try to go back to the ride or that's where I saw come off and that's when you saw the young lady come off with ears on and my daughter approached her and said you know where did you get those and she's like oh I got him last year and she started laughing and looking at her daughter and that's when my daughter like walked off and our how old was your daughter how old is your daugh she's 16 okay you so the that the female was the one who said hey I got these last year started laughing at her and walking off and that's when she stated you're never getting these back where's your daughter now I have no idea they're in the park somewhere and I'm not bringing my children into this they're they're at a party it's Christmas theyve waited all year for this they are having a hard time because we're not with them okay all right so we're not I Hey listen I understand she wants money to pay for the years we'll pay for the years we'll go back to our room and we're leaving in so right now right now nobody is accusing you of anything any crime or anything like that right I know there's a lot that happened before we got here and a lot of people are probably saying a lot of things but I don't care what any El said right whatever happens before we get here it's our job to figure it out so if anybody told you that there was a crime or that you're being accused of anything just don't even worry about we sitting in we're sitting in a place in Disney I've never thought I understand that and most people don't come on vacation to Disney and expect to be in the security office talking to sheriff's deputies but sometimes things happen and we get called Disney spends a lot of money with the sheriff's office they pay for us to be here um so then when we're called we kind of have to do do our due diligence we do our due diligence and we just we're going to investigate it to make sure that everybody everybody's voice is heard and everybody you know everybody gets to as of right now we're just trying to figure out what we got party is they're they're in the room just on the other side there okay start intervie start interviewing that side so we can get this ball rolling man I was just saying if anyone no we hav we had no chance how you doing you guys need her in or me out guys call what's going on hi um well prior to the incident happening his daughter had come up to me we were getting off we were yeah we were um [Music] what is it the we're going U coming off the Tron um ride uh we didn't get on cuz we we had a queue thing and she came up to me and she asked me like hey where did you get your ears and I told her I'm like oh these are old I'm like these are past seasons was that your daughter or someone else uh no another the the other party the other party's daughter um I'm like they're uh past season they're I'm like I think they're last year season I'm like God I bought him in the store I don't remember if I bought him here um I think we bought him at the outlet last year okay um and then we just went on our way uh we got on the space ride for Buzz uh we came off of that then we went to go check out um the dance party the dance party and while he was at the dance party with my little one um my do my oldest daughter and I want uh to go get a snap and when we were coming back from the snap we were meeting them up um I guess he the dad was starting y like stared to yell like I heard hey but I didn't think he was talking to me he literally came behind me and snatched the ears violently off he started yelling at me he's um prior to that and then he snatched the what did he tell the that that I was that I stole them and I didn't know he was talking to me until he he snatched them off my head um we were sitting down on one the benches yeah he was they were sitting down and I was literally walking to him and he was just like yelling at me saying that I was that I stole the ears from his daughter and I'm like what are you talking about I'm like these are my these are my daughter's ear and he said no these are uh these years are four years old I'm like okay like I'm like I bought this is my purchase this is not your your daughters um and then his daughter his wife started yelling at me too um saying that I stole them and I'm like no I didn't and just the fact that he was very violent about it and like not even approaching me like normal person and asking me like that's why we're here cuz he was he one he like literally stole him off my head violently two I would never even like that's disgusting taking someone else describe violently how did he did he just like quick or no he literally was yelling at me and he literally just like yanked them off my head you say anything like well like just yank I didn't even know he was talking to me honestly and you and you were there when it all Happ I was sitting down and she was standing up right in front of me we were like all we're planning did the the rest of the night and after she took off after he took off the ears what happened after I got up and like what are you doing like I conf him and and we like walk we went like about 20 ft and my and when I reacted I remember my kids so I went back with my kids and she went following the guy I went to get a cast member okay did you at any point do anything no I didn't I was after that you only yell at him and stuff and his daughters came up to me me that I stole them and then they were apologizing because of it I'm like no I'm like you don't do that like you don't act like that have you have you seen them before no I don't even know who they are okay I saw the girl so this will be your first encounter with that I don't even know who that they are like 10 minutes prior the girl had asked me like hey where did you get your ears before that I had someone else ask me hey where did you get that bucket from M like I went to the stand do you remember do you remember where like when or where you purchased it from I know you said it was like the outlets or something dis outl the um Premium Outlets like like it's the principle of way he like approached the whole damn situation I don't care about no [ __ ] 8 ears yeah just the fact that you violently came up to me and like snatched him off my head scaring my children correct you know what you what would you like done tonight we came for the party yeah we came for the party one I've never gone through the before so so pretty much what it means is for us on the on the Sheriff's Office side not the Disney side okay on Sheriff's Office side what you're alleging is some random person came to you yelled at you yeah approached you ripped front like face to face he literally from behind behind and committed a crime so what I need to know is do you want to press charges do you not want to press charges do you want to write a statement I press chares because of the way he approached the situation do you have your ID with you yes do you have your ID with you I didn't just give him all the information the side's done already I think I have a picture yeah you can grab a picture of me you have handcuffs placed on you you go to jail or we do what we call file with the state attorney's office we document everything we print out a charging affidavit we send it in our office mail to the state attorney's office couple weeks later the state attorney gets it they determine what the what the true power cause is and the true facts are and they go from there and then they decide whether or not they're going to file charges I mean we don't live in the state I understand that no I understand that um and that's I that's all I know that's all the options we have I I don't know what route my Corporal and partner are taking um if I knew I would tell you I'm just trying to be as honest as possible and give you guys the opportunity to document your side yeah it is what it is at this point I I mean I know what you're thinking it's going to come down to the big scary black guy was and it's going to be racially motivated y that's where we're going that's exactly what we're I I don't know you from the next person I I don't have any opinions of you I don't have any opinions of them do you want me to start writing or no I I just feel hey just don't worry about anything up at the top um start here uh print your name and then just give you know a synopsis of what you've told me and my partner um sir if you would like to write one to I encourage it I encourage everybody to you're going to make it there's no way we can come back and this point in time why does he have to be arrested because at this point in time your husband's going to be charged and I can say you're right here with robber snatching what's a felony it's laying there in the park somewhere we never took anything it's laying in the park what kind of cre so what you're being charged with Disney Cru yes that's on they fall under a different window I think I don't know well I so that I don't know about that I don't know about because I know Disney California does not we don't honor their trespass warnings if they're trespassed from Disneyland so are we going to be from Disney so your husband's being trespass from Disney for how long that I do not know that's going to be up to Disney so usually for a year um and then in a year you can usually uh contact security and guest services it's laying on the ground in the park somewhere so ultimately that really doesn't matter the the crime of robbery by sou Nation only requires you to walk up and and take something from somebody was like we took it he hit it I ma' I understand no this isn't fair you didn't do anything you were trying to protect your kid so what I can tell you you is that my my partner did a very thorough investigation consulted with both my Corporal and my sergeant we've called our our our division uh criminal investigations we've called our division Captain everybody is on the same page with this um everybody is is is on board and agrees with with what we've found out how do I get to how do I get to court how do I what time is he to get AR rained in the morning so that we do not know that's going to be with the jail staff when they book him into the jail um they'll give him his time Fort and all that stuff all right let's go ahead and walk through BL door sir you need to say anything to her all the stuff get the kids do what you got to do what is that mean know what I need my I will need my license and wallet give me my license and wallet you want to take your cell phone you can you want your phone too that way you can get numbers and that way you can call your wife and whoever you need you can get there get on this [ __ ] so as soon as you get the opportunity to use a phone call your wife have her call a bons get the process started right cuz once you're booked you have a booking number in B now I don't know if I don't know if I'm saying anything to you that you even care to hear but it's a sh situation and you know again it's it is we we made a lot of phone calls we called a lot of people and very thorough I know you guys kept asking how long is it going to take and I didn't know because they were making a lot of phone calls that that they were trying to figure out the
