Michael Jones Jr. and Ronnie Lee Oliver
Jr. Before the pursuit, Steven and
Ronnie shot at the three occupants of
the truck they stole. The shots missed
one victim but hit the other two
occupants. One of them survived but was
seriously injured. However, the other
later died of his injuries. Both
suspects were charged with one count of
homicide, one count of armed robbery,
two counts of assault with intent to
murder, one count of carjacking, and
four counts of felony weapons offenses.
While Ronnie has not yet been sentenced
on December 6th, 2024, Steven pleaded
guilty to all nine counts. During his
sentencing, the murder victim's parents
delivered emotional statements, but
Steven showed no remorse as he lashed
out at the parents with a vulgar rant.
For all nine counts against him, Steven
was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
