You're pull for lawful reason. Therefore, we have >> I'm not driving. >> We have legal reason to identify everybody in the car. >> What's the reason for me to >> pull somebody over? We can identify anybody in the car. >> No, you can't. >> Yes. We need to open the door. >> Absolutely not. You're violating my rights. You're about to violate my rights. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. >> Excuse me, sir. You're not do that. >> In this video, an innocent man was riding with his wife and kids when a cop walked up acting like every person in the car was already a suspect. The officer demanded ID from the passenger, even though the man was not driving, had committed no violation, and was not tied to any crime at all. When the man calmly challenged the officer's authority and asked why a passenger had to identify himself, the cop could not give a lawful reason and instead doubled down, insisting he could ID everyone in the car. The man requested a supervisor and refused to open the door, which only made the officer more aggressive. That is when the situation exploded and the officer yanked the door, forced the man out, and handcuffed him in front of his family while admitting he was not under arrest. The man kept reminding him that he did not consent to searches, but the cop went through his wallet anyway, just to find out he had done nothing wrong. Watch what happened the moment this officer realized his authority was collapsing in real time. What's going on, >> how you doing? >> Good. >> Okay. You're pull for lawful reason. In order for you to you have to suspect me of a crime or either in a in a possible commit a crime. I'm in the middle of committing a crime or I've already committed a crime. [snorts] That's the only way you can de right now. You guys have violated my life because I'm in a passenger seat with my wife and my kids and you guys are IDing me and having handcuffs for what reason? >> No, no, but but that no that's my right though. That's my right to not identify myself identify myself you guys unless I have committed a crime or you guys see me about committed a crime, right? You can identify anybody. >> No, you're wrong. Um >> I know it's nothing against you guys, but you guys will be hearing all >> from us. All right. >> All right. >> Thank you, guys. I guess it's a fail. We consider it a fail. They had me in handcuffs. I just got released from the handcuffs out of the >> out of the SUV back there from the cops. They released me and they had me in handcuffs and in the car because I did not want to show them my license, my ID apparently because and I'm in the passenger seat as you guys can see. I wasn't driving or doing anything wrong. >> This officer had no legal reason to demand ID from a passenger. Yet, he forced his way in, searched him, and handcuffed him in front of his kids. The man stayed firm, recorded everything, and made sure every violation was documented. This was not policing. This was power abuse and it showed the moment the cop lost control of the narrative.
