That's going to be a firm. I'm not going to jail, am I? Someone who's listening, right? Did you go to jail last time? Come on, let's walk to the car. How long are we going to be? It's the same as last time. Come on. Can I at least tell them? I'm going to tell them right now. Come on. No. Please. No. No. Mom, I'm getting arrested. Come on. What? I'm getting arrested. What? I'm getting arrested. She's under arrest for domestic violence, sexual assault. She hit you with the phone. You said you had a complaint. I didn't say she hit me with a phone. I said she grabbed my hand. Oh, it might have been the phone. On the evening of March 3rd, 2024, police were called to a home in Colts Neck, New Jersey for a domestic violence incident. The caller was Faith Oho, a mother who had just gotten into a heated argument with her daughter, Elizabeth Callahan. Elizabeth had returned home after spending time with her boyfriend, but as soon as she walked in, Faith confronted her and demanded to check her bag and pockets. She suspected Elizabeth might be carrying illegal drugs. Elizabeth refused, saying the bag contained personal items and that her privacy should be respected. What started as a disagreement quickly escalated when Faith reached out and tried to check her daughter's pockets herself, Elizabeth reacted. She struck her mother's wrist with the cell phone she was holding, causing visible swelling and red marks on Faith's arm. At that point, things had gone too far. Faith called the police. Elizabeth was arrested shortly after for simple assault. To see more videos related to Elizabeth Callahan's past incidents, check out the full playlist linked below. 75 181 Hi. Hi. How are you? Good. And um the grocery store hasn't been working for a little. So, my sister hasn't been working. It hasn't. So, yeah, I tried it anyway cuz sometimes it does. And then um I hear my sister calling cuz I guess she opened the front door. And then you guys And then my mom and sister open the front door and they're like, "Yeah." And they're like, "Oh, we need to check your bag." And my sister's like, "I need to check your bag." And I'm like, "I'm I'm sorry. I'm sorry. All right. Can't hear over your mouth." Yeah, I'm just going to It's like a new L's going to try out. Side in it instead of regular. It's just like an extra, you know. No, I got you. There's nothing illegal about that for several weeks now outside clothes in here. So what she she was mad cuz she thinks she has you have weed in here. I have weed and alcohol in here. Literally I just have this [ __ ] that I want to keep between me and my boyfriend. Like I get it. You don't want your mom seeing your lub. I wouldn't want my mom seeing that either. All right. So So what happened then? Like she came inside. Then what happened? No, I I got it. I got it. In the middle of Did you guys get in a fight or what? No. Would you not open that cuz that's where you got all your drugs at? Yeah. Okay. probably like I have mouthwash and like the rest of this [ __ ] in here is just so moisturizer. I'm not worried about that. Just open up that bag for me. I don't give a [ __ ] what's in it. I just want to make sure you don't have a freaking gun in there or something that's going to shoot me. Okay, that's No, I don't have a gun. So, what happened? So, you came home. Your sister let you in cuz the garage door is not working. Yes. And then he's like, "Oh, show us what's in your bag." Like, "First of all, you're not the parent. We're not your sister." Yeah. I was like, "Just get the [ __ ] off." Like, like, do you know? And then I come I start to go into the kitchen to put my shoes in the mud room. And then um I turn around from the mud room. They're like all following me cuz I guess they think I'm hiding [ __ ] in there. Were you gone for a while or something? I literally walked to the mud room and put my No, I mean before before you came home today. Were you gone today? Oh, yeah. I I left the house maybe like 8:45. Okay. Today. Okay. All right. Yeah. And then um Oh, when we were in the kitchen. Yeah. My mom started grabbing all my pockets and like trying to like like open all my pockets. Like I know there's [ __ ] in there. Did you guys hate each other at all or no? Um I did. Basically when she would like grab my pocket I was just I was just like get off. I was like get I was like get off. I was like yeah I guess I did it. Okay. Are you are you hurt at all? No. I'm just [ __ ] sick of coming home dead [ __ ] sober. Nothing and just being like you want to get off your phone maybe so we got two police officers in the house. at home and I mean I just seriously I come home my sister's demanding [ __ ] of me and my mom's [ __ ] grabbing me like like oh we have the rules it's like okay a I got home from an hour Uber I haven't peed I wanted I'm 22 22 okay I had just walked away from the stove actually no yeah I had walked away from the stove I was going to the front door because the one dog was coming down the front walk, okay, with our two daughters and the other dog was going crazy wanting to see her. So, Elizabeth and Stephanie came in. Then I followed them. She was here. This was Elizabeth and I said, and her uh that plaid fleece was unbuttoned because she hides. I mean, you already know about the alcohol abuse, right? Come here. I've never been here before. I've never met you. I think she had come here. And I just said, "Hey, please come here." Oh, I was just showing you where we were. And I just said I said, "Hey, wait a second. I want to see I want to see what's in those fleece pockets cuz I can see that there's How old is she? She's 22. Okay. And I know I know that there is marijuana and nicotine. There has been She's allowed to possess both of them legally. Not in our house. She's not. Okay. Well, that's house rules. No, no hitting, no crunching. No. I'm just saying it's it's an issue. I'm not saying it's not an issue in your house, but what's that from? Just now that scratch. Oh, I got a nice bruise going here. Okay. So, what do you want done tonight? Does that hurt? Do you want a first- a? I don't want a first aid ambulance, but this hurts. But the bottom line is I know that there's I know that there are drugs. Nicotine and alcohol are both drugs. Okay, I don't disagree with you. And so the bottom line is and I am ridiculously allergic to nicotine. Okay, she has been vaping, if that's the right language. Um, vaping nicotine. I've asked her for several weeks now to do it outside. Okay. And last night she was so high on marijuana, smoking it through the pens, okay, and doing the nicotine that she was actually I thought she was going to carve her eyes out while sitting on the couch and then running upstairs for more. They were pink, puffy, swollen. So, and I know that she's she's had reactions just like Stephanie and I have since young. The bottom line is I wanted all I wanted to see and I told her I'm not taking it away. I just want to know how much you were bringing into the house tonight. So she was coming back into the house from being out. She's been I didn't get home today until 11. Yeah. So she's been gone for approximately 10 hours for the best my knowledge. I'm just trying to understand. So she was coming back in. You were just checking what she was bringing back into your house, which is her because on keepsakes us up all night on Sunday, you need to know that on Sunday I was the drive down to somebody to I don't know what all drugs this kid's on, but a brand new acquaintance friend from the site ward. I drove her all the way down to the Long Branch. 3 hours later, I had to pick her up and God knows how many drugs came in then. M but last Tuesday and Wednesday I didn't call you. She was drunk as hell night. She couldn't almost the train tracks. But I mean, but the bottom line is So when did that happen? When you were trying to stop her from Yeah. Just she asked 5 minutes ago. My sister takes her phone as not as I asked I said I want to see what's in her fleece. She tried to book it that way and I said it was unzipped and I said I want to see it. I went like that. I didn't touch her. I touched the pockets. So, what what do you want done tonight? How can we come to a resolution on this? As far as I'm concerned, you can charge her with a simple What's the minimum? A simple assault. What is it? Yes, that's correct. Add it. Okay. She's already got two. Okay. Let me talk to my partner and see what's going on. Ma'am, stay over here, please. Oh, so no. I was just going to I No, I just wanted Elizabeth to know. I understand you can make it right. She can either wait a second. She can either go over here. Oh, sorry. Sorry, sorry, sorry. Sorry. I just don't want to I just don't want to escalate anything. You know, that's She's going away with one of her guy friends. And I know the drug dealer from high school. She's doing that next week. So, she can either agree to go to a facility, okay, for a month, okay, or I'm pressing more charges. I'm I'm I know. See, Pat, really? Do you want to get off your phone? Just maybe since we have two police officers in the house. You can't be mad at mom when I was the one that called, right? We just No. I mean, I just everything. I mean, you were right here. Can you guys just agree to stay in here? I'm going to talk to my partner. I just don't want you guys to intermingle and escalate. No, no, no. All right. Thank you. I appreciate it. No, no, no. I appreciate you. Sorry. I just It's all I don't know what else to do to get basically. I'm sorry. to her being drunk and wants to see what's in her bag. She wants to see what's in her pockets and she just wants to be left alone. She's like, "My mom, grab my key." And I was just like hitting her with my phone like this trying to get her off. Yeah. What happened the last time we were here? The last time you were here? Yeah. I can't even remember. There's so many times. 57 from 69. Can you please give me a 10 two as soon as you can? Hello. Hello. Hey. So, uh, daughter came home. Uh, mom was in the house. Daughter apparently goes out, drinks, does drugs, does all this stuff, smokes tobacco, whatever. Mom doesn't want her bringing those stuff into her house. So, uh, daughter's 21, by the way. Uh, mom doesn't want her bringing into the house. So, when she was walking in the house, she wanted to check her bag. She said that she went to grab her bag. When she did, the daughter hit her hand with her phone, the mom's hand, and she has a red mark and complaint of pain, and she wants her charged with simple assault. And the daughter admitted to doing it. Okay, I bring back for injuries. I don't have a camera or nothing. [Music] Okay. Well, thank you. Last time I brought you to crisis, do you think that when I brought your mom's med last time, do you think that helped out? Is that when I went to the psych ward? Yeah. No, the psych word was terrible. Okay, that did not [ __ ] gave me trauma. They didn't let me take my birth control or my almost 30 Lyme disease pills a day. They didn't let me take any of that. It was [ __ ] traumatizing. Okay. It was right before that though. When you were in like the ER. What? When you were in the ER there, like beforehand. Oh, yeah. Then it was fine, right? Yeah. It wasn't that bad. I mean, sitting there isn't always fun. Yeah. No, no. The psychord is I [ __ ] actually think I had trouble from that though. It's not very nice in there. That's scary. Scary. I love you, dog. I love you. All right, guys. Okay. Yep. Okay. Sounds good. Yeah. She's got a She She said that she did it. She said she hit her with the phone. Yeah, she said. So I went to grab her shoes like that trying to open up the same thing here with the phone and she has a red mark and she said her hand hurts. So she's going to be a 41. Okay, I'm going to bring her on. You don't put shoes on? I realize we don't. What? Why? Cuz it's wet outside. It's wet out of here, right? Oh, where are we going? Oh, do I have to wear those? Can I wear shoes? Where are your normal shoes? What shoes? I wear slides. Where are they? Do you want the slides? Yeah. I don't know. Why do we have to go outside? Cuz I won't talk you out there. Oh, sorry. Can I go with Yeah, I just put on those. Just put the shoes on, please. Come on. It's the same [ __ ] as Where are the slides? Your sister got the slides back. Okay, perfect. No, that was perfect. We can't go past this. All right. Well, they're the comfiest. I'm so myself putting on sneakers when So, listen. It's the same [ __ ] as last time. Your mom got on a fight, right? We didn't get into a fight. You hit her with your phone or whatever you hit her with. I see the red mark on her hand. All right. You cannot arrest me. Turn around. I know. Turn around. You're being arrested for domestic violence. Okay. Are you serious? The same [ __ ] as last time. Are you Are you serious? 69 County, 75 as a female, 41. It wasn't. I was sold. She was grabbing me and I just didn't want to be touched. How is that? Can I get your life? How is that? That's going to be a firm. I'm not going to jail, am I? Someone who's listening, right? Did you go to jail last time? Come on. Let's walk to the car. How long are we going to be? It's the same as last time. Come on. Can I at least tell them? I'm going to tell them right now. Come on. No. Please. No. Mom, I'm getting arrested. Come on. I'm getting arrested. What? I'm getting arrested. She's under arrest for domestic violence, sexual assault. She hit you with the phone. You said you had a complaint of I didn't say she hit me with the phone. I said she grabbed my hand. Oh, it might have been the phone. Yeah, she said she hit you with the phone. Oh, good. I'm We have a duty to arrest in that point. Okay. Well, wait. She's not going to jail, right? Aren't you just a charge here? Hold on. We want her to stay at home. She's going to be processed and everything like that and then we'll see uh we'll see what happens. Make sure you bring her back here because you don't understand. You did this be not you, but back in the fall the first time that I called 911, it was my brother's birthday, September 15th. You guys drove her to the number one house that even my mother who was 91 that day told you don't dare bring her. You guys brought her to Howell to Olivia Deandre's house. So, I'm going to tell you what happened. Her parents are heavy drinkers. I'm going to tell you what happened. She was Can I explain? I understand. I completely understand where you're coming from. Bring her back here, right? So, we're we have to go through the process. She might not even get released tonight. She might go to the county jail. It's not up to us. It's up to the state system. Am I allowed to uh Will you allow me to say goodbye or something? Or I have her phone. Stand by. Just stay here for now, ma'am. Please. Yes, sir. Well, wait a second. Where's her bag in her place? It's inside. Do you want her to take it with her? Absolutely not. I don't know what's in it. Leave it here. I just got her phone. I'm giving her a phone. I know. But listen, it's it's the same [ __ ] as last summer, right? So, what we'll be home in an hour? Yeah. Good. You ready? Is it actually going to be working this time? Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. Yeah. No, it should. Is he going to bring me my phone? Yeah. 75 to 69. You good for me to go 103? Stand by. Elizabeth, I'm just going to grab your phone. Just hang on. All right. Oh, wait. It's her phone though, ma'am. Does the credit card have your name on it? It has her name on it. Then it's her credit card. I see. Well, that's Yeah, you're good. She let me say hello. I mean, or will you let me say I don't want to right now cuz it's just going to escalate the situation. Can I just say something from way back? Can you just like walk me to the He's He's leaving already. Oh, ma'am. So, okay. So, here's the deal. Which jail are you talking about? Well, first she's going to go to Colts Snack and then we go through the process of going through the complaint system where we generate the charges and then it goes into the state computer and they generate based on a scoring system, based on her past offenses and everything like that, if she's going to get committed to the county jail, if she's going to get released on a summon. Okay? Okay. So, we won't know until we go through that whole process cuz there are two right now. You are the victim. I need to photograph those. Do you want to come back with me in the car or do you want me to come back here with the camera? Uh, I'll come with you to the car. Okay. Whatever you want to do because you can come back to our headquarters with us and we can photograph from there or I can come back right in town. Right in town. Yeah. I'll be in route 10. Okay. Do you also want to apply for a restraining order or anything like that? In fact, against my daughter. No, sir. Okay. I just I have to offer you this stuff. I understand it's upsetting. I have to offer you this stuff. It's my job. It's a protocol that we have to go through. I understand it's very hard, but you call the police. We have a duty to intervene and and and and we have to do our job, ma'am. I understand. I sympathize with you and I apologize that stuff like this happens, but No. No. You know, so do you want to come back with me or do you want me to come back here? I I'll do whatever you say. Whatever you want to do, it's up to you. I mean, no, I can Is it better for you if I go to the station so that you have your proper lights and machine? Either or. It doesn't matter. I can take the camera anywhere. The camera's mobile. Okay. Uh, but you don't have the camera, right? No, I have to go back and get it. That's what I'm saying. So, since you have to go back and get it and then I can take you back. Am I allowed to follow you so that you don't have to come all the way back here? That's perfect. And then Yeah, that's perfect. I'm sorry that I'm in my pajamas. And what? You want me to drive him? We have to go down. He has to photograph my hand. Yeah, I I'll drive him. Okay. In the van. All right. So, you'll meet us down there and I'll be down there when he's there. Yes, sir. I'll office to my first name. Nick. Yeah. Nick. I mean, sorry, Faith. At the old State Squad building. I wasn't I'm getting my shoes. I asked you to put the I'm sorry, sir. You want to meet me outside? I'll meet you at the Yeah. Okay. I'm sorry. I'll get in my car. I'll turn it around. Okay. We could also call you if she's getting released or what's happening. just to give you a heads up of what's happening. Be so kind. Yes, I will pass it along. No matter what she says. So, I'm leaving at I'm leaving at 8. If it's before 8, I'll call you. If not, I will definitely pass it along and the officer that's handling everything will call you. Okay. So, this this automated system will call you regardless if she gets admitted to jail and released from jail and everything like that. Is that here? There's a I mean, we've only lived her 32 years. So, we have like a couple cells in the back, but she'll go to the county jail and freehold. If she goes to to jail, if she goes to jail tonight, she's going to go to freehold. And then basically, is she going to be with more? I mean, okay, look, I don't It's separated males and females. Okay. Cuz I really think we need to have another R. No, it's separated males and females and everything like that. And then usually what happens is the next day she'll see a judge. The judge will then review her case. A superior court judge, not a not the colon municipal judge, the superior court judge will review her case and they'll basically say if she's going to stay in jail to await trial or if she'll get released. Is the is that superior superior court? Yeah, that's that's down in the county jail in the in the Okay, I near I work near that. Yeah. Is the super sorry. Is the superior court judge going to see the two charges from the fall that we actually would have been in court with on Friday, but it's been postponed another month. Yeah. Yep. So, she'll see that or he whoever. Yeah. Yeah. Whoever. Yeah. I don't know. They I don't know who. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't I don't know who either. Yeah. Yeah. They'll see that and it's all taken into account. Uh then then they make the final determination. Who determines what happens tonight? The the computer system. So basically what happens is when you get charges brought against you, it's all done on an online system. It's through the state. So it's a state server. You go on type out the charges. It it and then you put the person's information in and it on a one to five scale. It's based on like past charges, recidivism, all that kind of stuff. No, she's all the way in the in the sail. In the cell in the back. Then are you ready for this? This is going to be an answer to prayer because you know what? The only way that we can get her help is for her to go to superior court. She she's most likely going to go. More than likely. If if if I could guess, I would say she's probably going to go. But like I said, it's up to the computer system at that point. Yeah. Because only the superior we I only just found this out like a week ago. Yeah. Apparently only so because we were supposed to go to the municipal court. Nothing can I mean I don't understand how the law works sir. I understand how you work. I spent over 10 years as an active duty officer in the Air Force. Thank you for your service. Um, but what I have literally just learned is that because the other charges were municipal, cold snack, nothing can happen. But apparently, I don't know if this is true or not. I can only say I hope so. If what you just said is true, but a superior court judge can actually mandate her going in for treatment. So, a municipal court judge can as well. Oh, yeah. They can. They can mandate treatment. They can't. Oh, yeah. No, they can. We our judge has done it before. Has sent people for mental health evaluations and drug treatment programs and everything like that. Yep. Do these charges ever get dropped? What do you mean? That's up to 22 years old. It's up to the judge. Everything's up to the judicial system at that point. Over 20 hours. Yeah. Everything will be taken into account by the judge. Like I said, I don't know what they choose to do at that point. So, like I said, this is Did she have a sweatshirt? I think she had her flannel. Did she have her flannel with her? Yeah, but that's what's got the nicotine in the pockets. They emptied everything out. She doesn't have anything. She's got a couple hundred bucks in that phone. Yeah. Well, that's going to get taken in the property and handed over to the the corrections officers at the jail. Nobody takes it. Yeah. No, it all gets stowed away at the jail. I think we better throw up. Are you okay? Do you want an ambulance or anything? No. Okay. I have to ask you like like I said no sort of thank you is what I meant to say. No, I understand. No, he was a very busy night. So like like I said if she is going to jail if she's getting released tonight. Okay. So just initial right here stating I explained everything to you there. Yes. Multiple times. Can I say that? I'm just trying to be full right here. Yep. I'm just trying to be fully uh transparent with you. I understand it's upsetting. I'm sorry. No, I'm So do you need more time with this? Are you done with this? I can give you time if you need it. Give me another minute. Well, I think that this is probably You want me to give you like five more minutes? Irrelevant now. Well, what I was saying was she needs help. She's an alcoholic, a substance abuser, and needs to be in a treatment facility where she had learned scoping kills from horrific I was going to put horrific traumas, but I also have your pen. No, I'll give you five more minutes. I don't want you to rush it. Okay. All right. No, I just But is it It's only supposed to be about tonight, right? What happened? It can be about anything you want it to be. It's your statement. Well, I'll give you five more minutes. Okay. And then this is your copy of what I just gave you. Okay. There's some more blank forms here if you need them to. Okay. Thank you very much. I'm really sorry. No, it's okay. That's what we're here for. I'm really Please just tell her. I didn't know. I mean, we did I don't I didn't know. Listen, this is how it was supposed to be. I understand it at this point. It is what it is and we just got to move forward. We don't know. Is she allowed to call her attorney? Yeah, that's on her. Whatever she wants to do. Do you want me to give you that phone number? Because if you take her phone, she won't. I can give you I'll get you a post-it note when I come back and you can write it down. Okay. And we can give it to her. That way, she has it. Okay. Yeah, I'll get you a post-it note. I'll be back in 5 minutes, though. I don't want to rush you. Okay. Thank you.
