On the early morning of January 27th, 2024, at around 3:18 a.m., a serious crash occurred on Smithville Road in Lumberton Township, New Jersey. Mary E. Lechford was driving a 2009 Subaru Forester, heading southbound on the road. From the opposite direction, Austin C. Collins was traveling northbound in his 2001 Honda Civic. Suddenly, without using any turn signal, Mary attempted to make a left turn into the driveway at 588 Smithville Road. At that exact moment, Austin's vehicle was passing through. The result, a violent collision. Austin's car spun off the road and crashed directly into a guard. The crash caused severe damage to both vehicles. Austin suffered serious injuries and required immediate medical attention while Mary sustained only minor injuries. Tensions quickly escalated at the scene. A heated argument broke out between both parties and according to reports, things turned physical with pushing and even slapping involved. Moments later, the police arrived. And now watch how Mary tries to cover up her mistake, how her story keeps changing, and what the police body cam really reveals. All of it in this video. 3404. Is this coming? Affirm. 1622 going up. Actually, ours is on the other side of the road. Like Yeah, like from the other side of the road. Here come this might be the state police. We'll see. Let's Google. I don't know how they did Did Roselli call for the state police? [Applause] I checked all three poles and all of them don't have any any numbering on them. I'm almost 100% positive these are our houses up until that one. He's looking at the uh he just pulled that boundary line up. Who? Uh the island. Where's the boundary line? goes. It's on the other side of this road. It's not this road. It's so It's actually This is going to be the best news ever. That there's a boundary. So, we have the house, but they have the road. Correct. 2745. That's the line. That's the line. Yeah. Anything inside on the interior is us. So, we have Aren't we on the inside? We're on this side. Oh, we have the room. Yeah, lines. Won't uh won't come out to do the test unless she it blows a zero or refuses. So, we need to get her back. Huh? We need to get her back and on the box. Britney can do the box. Britney's coming in now. She said she's not going to put any of her gear on. So she has no electronics or whatever. If you can sit with her or whoever is going up. Start the 20-minute observation. Correct. Yeah. Get So you guys get her back and start the 20-minute observation. You know what the 20-minute observation is? Yeah. Um all the forms for that are in the uh the room, right? They're in that drawer on that left hand side. All right. Just sit, watch her until Britney comes in. Make sure you down all your your gear, wherever. Yeah. Who's taking this? I I got the crash portion of it for now and we'll figure out we'll figure out I'll do the uh the case for well somebody cuz we're going to have to stay for a little bit on this one. So just fair warning if you're doing the 450 part. I mean you were standing there when I did all the testing and everything. I'll do a sub to all that. Okay. So just Yeah. Get her back and then you hang out with all that. I'll I can do the crash. It's not a problem. All right. I'm just going to check her vehicle. I don't I kind of don't understand how the crash happened but So she she was going into this driveway. Yeah. She was making a left without a turn signal is what the guy's telling me. He was coming down um north and when she made that turn, he didn't have time to stop. So he went into the guard rail. She went into him onto the side. He hit the guard rail right here and then bounced and then went back down in over there. Yeah. And landed down there. Tommy's notified for everything guardrail wise. But whose car is she in? She's also that that car her car is expired, too. Is that expired? Yeah. Well, it's Oh, I'm uh she said in um Leisure Town, Southampton. Yeah. Yep. Southampton. [Applause] Okay.
