All right. So, Dylan, come on in here. I'll synopsis of what happened. Um he's going to get accurate times, but the woman out on the structure out there. They say here they've been together in this room since 2:30-ish at 2:00 this afternoon. Um everything was going copacetic until about 7:00 30. When he was sleeping. Once Once we put this up, does Abacus sit in? >> Yeah. So, basically this is how they do it like a one-to-one. Yes. Um this is a camera. Doesn't record, but someone on the other end is observing her non-stop. Um he's going to get you the times that the alarm was triggered. So, the alarm is triggered based on when somebody's trying to get out of the bed. Um he saw her get up out of bed and start strangling her violently. And then they sent in people to separate them, and she's been outside ever since. She's quite confused. She doesn't understand why it happened. Can't provide a whole lot of backstory to it. So, we're going to ask her what triggered this to happen, you know? And then we'll go from there. Huh? And I got shot in the head. You got shot in the head? How long ago did that happen? 2013. Okay. Okay. No problem. It's okay. We'll figure it out. So, he's getting the times. And all we got to do is talk to her and see what she's willing to tell us. Um I'm going to go call SARS real quick because I don't know what's going on. All right. So, so talk to her real quick. Can we get their uh their names and info? Their face sheets, both of them? Thank you. Ma'am, what's your name? What? Sorry. Deborah? So, what happened? happened, Debra? All day since afternoon, she's been getting out of bed and screaming and crying and and the problem these are newcomers, these you know, they left at 7:00 the other nurses and stuff. And she all day and this morning I had a I had a a heart thing with my heart today. And then anyway, she kept getting up and the big getting on she asked me for $2 for vodka and then she asked me for money to get home. And I said, "Leave me alone." And I get down, "Leave me alone." And then all I did was I said, "You're an ass." And I grabbed her by neck, but I didn't pull her or anything. And then I just let her go and that was it. And then everybody came running in. He ran in saying that I was yanking on her and I wasn't. I just said, "Leave me alone." She wouldn't leave me alone. And that was the truth. I just had a heart attack today. They operated on me. Ask them. Oh that police. Please hold on. Didn't I? I just had a a heart attack. Today they just operated and everything in my life. Is this the first time you in the room with the same uh this woman? What? >> Is this the first time you're in this room with this woman? No, I was in the room with her all day. I'm saying is this the first time you're in the >> Oh, well I never seen her yet. Is this the first time you've interacted with this woman? I remember in the back, yes. I never seen her in my life. I never seen her before. So, you're telling me that you you two were just arguing today? Yes. And then she wanted money from me and then I just couldn't take it anymore. She said she wanted my walker and she wanted me to go home and I said, "Leave me alone." And then she kept kept hitting me in the arm from out here and then it didn't happen. So, I just grabbed her and I said, "Leave me alone." And that was it. I didn't pull her out or anything. So, That was it. But you did put your hands on her. I did touch her neck, but I didn't pull on it or anything. But you did put your hands on her. >> Yes, sir. Okay. I'm just going to talk to her. I have nothing to add. All right, so can I just play back something real fast? Yeah, absolutely. So, this came in about 7:00. Okay. So, what happens is when Wendy tries to get up, they'll alarm it. Okay. They're watching her. Okay. So, that was annoying her, the alarm. So, she pulled the curtains and [ __ ] idiot, you this, you that, you piece of [ __ ] So, I said I pulled the bed board and I said, "We need to get them for added support." So, the stretcher's there. Moving her out of this Yeah, okay. It was already in progress before we got here. Okay. That's where the stretcher is and we gave report and then as we're getting report to get her off this floor she took it. So, that's kind of how it happened. Right? Am I right? Prior to that, there was no What is your name? Um Lorraine. What's your name, honey? So, Wendy, can you tell me what happened? She started hitting me. Mhm. Were you two arguing today? Or talking at all? What one? I don't Were we arguing today? No, they were not arguing. There was no exchange between them. No conversation. Before that, before she started yelling at her, there was nothing prior to that. The only exchange before that was when they did walk over there like two times and asked them for $5. What is the name of this aid? Ava said Ava said it. Ava said it? Yes, or Ava Shore is Ava Shore video monitor. You're not in trouble. When did you get out of her bed? Uh she said that she did put her hands on her. She said she was arguing with her all day long. Okay. And uh she kept on asking for like money and other stuff like that and she said she had enough of it and she went up to her and said that she put her hands on her. Okay. What did she describe now? And she said she put her hands on her neck and then she said she didn't shake or anything like that. She said she put her hands on her neck and then next thing she knew she saw people coming. Okay. I have face sheets for both Thank you so much. So Wendy's her. Yes. And then Deborah is the patient outside. Thank you. You made a lot of new friends tonight. >> Yes, she did. Who are you talking to? We know Wendy. You're pretty popular, huh? You're staying out of trouble today, right? Wendy, how are you feeling right now? I'm not feeling like dizzy. Mhm. Did she uh when she put her hands on you, well what can you describe what happened? What She put her your hand her hands in the back of your head, you said? Yeah. On the back of your head on your neck or on your head? Knee knee her glove But I was just over there eating pizza and I come back and I packed it. Since I walked in What What are you trying to say, Wendy? Those blue gloves. You want him to put a glove on and feel the back of your head? >> Yeah. Why? What's on the back of your head? A bump? Or is that where you got shot? That's where I got shot. That was a needle, Wendy. We're not doing that now. Okay. That was probably what she did. I can see it from here. I saw the mark when you turned your head the other way. That's not That's not why we're here though. We're here for your neck. Yeah. How does your neck feel? Do you have any pain anywhere? Do you remember what happened? All right, we'll give you a few minutes. Maybe this is a little bit too much going on right now. I'm sorry. 3 minutes. Wendy has been here since 2:00 p.m. Oh, so both of them were She came in Deborah was here since this morning. Um she was in a procedure so she came back to the room at 4:15. Yes. Wendy is alert. She can be alone. She is But she was aggressive at Was there anything like scaly or flaky or anything like that on her body? Um I think she I'm not sure but I think she's also like um She's like dizzy and Like dizzy came like just history of drug use. Yeah, she I yeah. I'll start writing them on here. Get an idea how we're going to handle this and uh I know Parlow says not Parlow says the main witness. I'm going to take it from there. Just in the meantime, just start getting whoever was involved in this their info. Mhm. Cuz they obviously have other stuff they have to attend to. So I they can free up. So we're actually in the process of moving this patient down to whatever Okay. Are we okay to move her now? >> Yeah, just let me know where she's going to be, and if I have to follow up later, we can do that. Thank you. His uh title is patient observer. Okay. And if you want to uh this is called the Alaris pump. Alaris pump monitoring system. You okay, Wendy? You want to sip a little ginger ale or something? No? You okay? I wish I could, Wendy. I can't. You're a patient. You need medical care. Where do you live? So who came into the room to separate Uh separate them. I think she was already uh Ash. Did you come in the room or she was already off? You separated And like she was in bed and she was in bed. Yeah. So no So they didn't have to separate them? No. They were both already back in bed when we walked in when we heard the alarm go off. Okay. Who's the main nurse? I'm the nurse for B bed, and she's A bed. Okay, can I just get your Actually, I'm a manager, assistant manager. Okay. Is she the blonde? No, she was She had her hair in a bun. She just went to go get speak to her supervisor. The other blonde is our supervisor. Okay. Yeah, Raisley. She was the supervisor on call. Is she going to be on the same floor, or is she getting a or is she >> to move to 204B. Okay. You said the supervisor or nurse, Ashley, she just went to go grab something real fast? >> Uh, she went down to the safe room. They went with Raisley, right? To just give a brief report, you know. >> Okay. She should be back in about 10 minutes. Okay, thank you. I thought she was fast. I'll be here back and forth. So, no one separated them They already separated when they came into the room. >> Oh, yeah. Okay. Uh, excuse me. She's asking, is it okay to bring her to her new room, Yeah. or do you want to keep her here? We can We can meet her down at the new room. Yeah. We'll go down. 204B? Yeah, 204B. Got it. I need you to come back in the stretcher. We're going to put the the hook up to life hacks so we can see her heart rate, and then we're going to bring her to the area where I work at. So, her caller's name I got the nurses for both beds and I got the supervisor supervisor for the wings and contact information. Yeah, so you have like two supervisors basically. You have a nursing supervisor and who's the one that's Rainey Rainey? Or Rainey or whatever her name is. I have to get her I have And then you have the assistant manager. Who has the hair in the room? That's Yeah, okay. Okay. All right, I tower over here. I don't know about the gentleman. So, where are you from? I'm from the back room. You look familiar. All right. You live down here now? Yes. Okay. All right. What what part? Okay. Which one? All right, you're from the area. I had a It's a a heart attack. Hey. And then what's the other one? No, it's a stroke but I think it was more cuz she went in here and he went down to He did? And then he came in here and he had my heart and he would something to poke it with something with something else another All right. All right. So, they're moving her to the second floor. She She admitted that she put her hands on her. All right. She said that she was annoying her the whole day. Okay. Um she's not really with it. All right, that's fine. I feel about it. Yeah. Um Do you have any wounds? I'm okay. No, no, I just I mean, according to Carlos, the guy that was watching it, you know, I grabbed her by the back of her neck. So, what happened to her right now? That was what he reported. Um So, I got my hands on her. I didn't shake her and I feel like that's She She didn't mean to put her hands on her neck. She said her neck. Oh. She did it again. She basically said she was really lucky because she was annoying the [ __ ] out of the other guy. So, I'm going to ask Do you have any any any injuries at all? You have to use the bathroom, Wendy? Okay, I'll let them know. I have injuries. I'll talk to you after. A little red on her right side of her neck. Um You doing all right? Yeah. Where are they? Do you have any pain? Do you have any pain? Yeah. All right. She uh she was She was shot. >> Okay, got you. Were you Were you in any pain in your back? Uh Wendy's just going to need assistance. She has to use the bathroom. Bathroom? All right, we'll get the nurse in here right now. All right. She has to use the bathroom. Okay. Thanks. No, she just told me that. Her back is She not listening. The uh the nursing staff said that like they have to keep her on on track because like she She asked where she was and she kept asking for money and that's what Yeah, that's what she said. She says she's asking for money. Asking for alcohol, vodka. And this one just got here. Yeah. And what So this one Where is Where is this one from? She came She's from Pittsburgh. So she I have to say she's from She's from She's here uh by Anaheim. She was here And this one is from Anaheim. Dude, she She told me she was in rehab but Yeah, that's it. Yeah, I just Yeah, yeah, I'll I'll get it. They need to deal with that. She was here since last night. She was here since 2:00 this afternoon. Yeah, we'll go we'll go over that. You understand that, right? They're This isn't No, cuz they have no prior contact or no relationship at all. Just people that are living in the same apartment. Doesn't make that a domestic situation. Uh-huh. It's where they met. It's where they met. Address. Uh-huh. Where they met. Address. So temporary temporary living house. Yeah, it's kind of a residence. You can't treat it as a residence. You know, you need somebody to say anything. It's like a shelter or something. That may be their temporary living house. It's not considered a common residence. Even though a lot of people are there. Or extended period of time. It's that's kind of a gray area, too. I know some guys who would treat that as a as a domestic situation but that's not what it that's not what it is. Domestic violence in a boarding house. No, intended for. I'm sorry. Sorry. She is present or former household members. That's Yeah, I mean if you really try to split hairs, you could make it domestic into a lot of different situations but It really wasn't the first for you. You know, Yeah. Even though we were treated as that. Mhm. But it's not what the law is intended for. It was to protect people um that have been in a relationship or have a familiar relationship. People are No, it's if you go on one If you go on one date with someone, it's considered Huh. Yeah, that's that's That's That's not a That's not a definite That's what they I just remember that in passing that they I would look at the I would look at the You have to look at the relationship. I would look at what's being reported. Yeah. It's something something that It's not urgent. Mhm. immediate attention. Ashley, Are you uh the supervisor nurse for the wing or are you the assistant manager? >> nurse manager. Assistant nurse Assistant nurse manager. So, she's not like under like 24-hour care even outside of here. Uh she's alcohol withdrawal. This is her She's always here. She is like Yeah, she is, but she was answering questions. So, She's able to function like somewhat. I honestly, I don't know. I don't really deal with her that much that way. Or she is I mean, her dad was a patient here. So, I I don't know what she meant with her dad. That's what she told me. She was telling me her dad is 51 and she's 54. No. So, I don't >> He was just He was just here. I'm not sure if I would assume it was her dad then. Um I think she was found wandering or something. Wandering. But yeah, that or something. But no, really what happens was cuz she is alcoholic drugs or alcoholic drugs that's a monitor up in the room. Yeah, monitor up. That's what she has it So, it's going to put it in at 7:00 so you can blame this all on me. So, I put it in. So, B bed every time A bed would try to move, it alarms, let us know like run in there so she doesn't fall. So, and we're alarmed to call her maybe [ __ ] [ __ ] US US US whatever. And then I was like, all right. So, I call this called day board who over the room. I'm like, can you do me a favor? You got to get B out of here cuz we're on observation floor. So, when he's observation was an impatient so she could definitely go above other beds at the hospital. She moved down to second floor. I physically brought the stretcher here, had the heart monitor thing for her to get out. We're giving you a report >> Thank you. We're giving report downstairs. And I saw her walk in the bathroom, monitor went off and then she had her choking and but what he did say, She was starting to walk too. She was walking in the bathroom, I saw her then. And I guess when she went Yeah, this one. And when she walked against the back, she probably caught her. But she actually was just had a full heart issue today too. So, she should chill out. So, she was like nasty to all the nurses all day too. Be bad. Well, somebody somebody actually witnessed this. Um so, the monitor the monitor that's a video monitor. But she is a I mean, and she wouldn't even say like call So, it's something that she's just going to have to she's going to have to But she kept she was saying, call no trauma, I'm going to kill you. She was like, I don't like get him out of here. You're scaring her out of here. Find another room for her. So, Yes. Yeah. But she uh Yeah, but she don't like wait. If she could actually get up, she could actually get up. That's why there's a monitor there too. But I mean, she's Actually, can I just get your last name, please? Tell me what you think. So you guys have the you guys have the the the details of what happened. What do you No, it's just a scratch. That's more than No, it's just a simple assault. No injuries sustained. Is it Is it permanent at all? I don't I dropped you in the hallway. I think you could say that she was attempting to cause No, I think it was injury. You know what I'm saying? I mean, you know what she was going to happen. Yeah. It's not going You know what's going to happen if you grab somebody by the neck. Yeah. You know, it's not like a punch or a shove or a slap, you know. What was she What was she trying to shut her up? That's what it sounded like. I don't She was just like I couldn't take it anymore. Yeah, and how did she She's like I heard she kept on going off all day. She kept on asking me for alcohol and money for alcohol. And she was like fed up with her talking to her. Yeah, so that's like shut up. Kind of thing. Yeah. So the dressing staff can have a number. Yeah. Uh anybody else is in for that we need? I just need the Who's got the nurse manager? I need the supervisor. Yeah, I need the blood. She had like a little Um that we would need to photograph. No, it was just like a not even an abrasion, it was just red. You know, on the one side, but I don't know if she was grabbing me afterwards or something like that, you know. But it looked like it's excited. Listen, if you can't get a guy this this woman put her hands on somebody else. Yeah. I prefer that. I would she She has to understand it's not Yeah, I know. Well, if now she doesn't admit to us that she does it, I what um what can we do? She had a DT, right? Simple assault and DT. It's not a crime. Um What what what can we do? We don't have We have We have to sit She didn't want to press charges. So, how do we handle that? And the video do- it doesn't record. Even if it did Even if it did Even if it did Video video video doesn't satisfy take doesn't satisfy you in person with what doesn't take place you witness anything. So, absent an admission you don't witness it doesn't happen in your presence. What do we How do we handle that? If it's a it's a DT simple assault. What do we tell the What do we tell the detective? She's still on the scene. So, we can't sign any complaint on her behalf. She She can sign a complaint on her behalf. So, what do we do? Tell them this. She has to come in the headquarters. No, she can't. We can do it on her behalf. Yeah. If somebody's physically able to go to our headquarters, yeah, we can assist them. But but from what she is physically doing it. Yeah, not right now. >> She's not right now. Right? But she's wandering, so what I would do based on that information, ask her to just do it later. Mhm. Ask her to just told us that this woman is not able to get around. I would Explain to her that you're not able to sign sign but if she wished to she could I would advise her that she needs to come to the station since I can't see her maintaining it. I don't know if I can be able to explain who I am unless she is too drunk. She just said that that's her number one problem. That's it. But if she's going through alcohol withdrawal she's going through the shakes also. So, she's not able to do it because of it. But I mean what what what what if she needs some sort of special for the nurse, then that's fine. But it doesn't happen in her presence. You don't have any admission. One of the few things we can't sign a complaint. Video doesn't doesn't satisfy that. So. In this case, she admitted that she That didn't happen in her presence, obviously. Um you know, if there was a video, it wouldn't make a difference, but she's admitted it. And that she is one of the exceptions to be in person requirement. So, it's not a complaint. So, what are we going to put this on? Uh I'd be simple so simple assault. Simple assault. You put on a simple assault warrant. You already want to just go and put it on a You're right. I don't know if you want to get into this, but I have it, I think. Yeah, it would be nice, but I'm not going to make make it make more work for ourselves when we don't have to. Yeah, just for the sake of Yeah, so I have a I have a um I have a um a book in the car. We can do it right here. She has a book. I mean, you can serve her with her complaint. Let her know that she's going to have to come to court and and uh answer for her uh obligation. The biggest thing is I was here before you. I started to get a part of the story, and I know how that can be when you're the one that has to take the report. So, I'm going to ask you now, do you understand everything that happened so that you can write this report? Cuz if you don't, now is the time we got to figure something out. I think I got every I think I got it I think I got more from talking to her also. >> Yeah, yeah. But, you know, but I just know sometimes when we're like the second and third person here and you end up with the report and get a little like that. Yeah, and get a little weird cuz then when you sit down, you're like, oh [ __ ] All right, so I don't want that to happen to you. So, if there's something that you have a hard time, like maybe there's a little gap missing of some sort, identify it now and let's fix it. I just need the uh I just need to the supervisor and also the uh the Wait, security was uh getting us the exact times of Yeah, he said some If you're if you're if you're the primary that's going to be taking a report and you're at a call where there's different people that need to be spoken to, do your best. If if you have the ability to talk to all parties involved as opposed to him talking to one, somebody else talking to the other, and you getting the information from them. Right, that's very typical of a domestic, right? We separate the parties. There might be kids involved that we interview, right? So, you know, you have the guy that's with the suspect telling you what happened. You have the victim. Yeah, we'll get you one, but stay stay in your bed so the alarm doesn't go off, okay? Did you see how long? This is important. How long did How long? Not long. I think I'm sure we can get a pretty good idea. Wendy, sit back down, okay? The alarm on the bed's going to keep going off. I will get you a snack, okay? Did you separate? Did you silence the alarm or did they do it up there? No, I didn't do it right now. Jim, she's getting a little uh anxious. 7:31 was the time that uh Carlos said 7:31 and 7:30. I swear. So, this is the first alarm? Carlos. The first alarm went off. And >> That was her going into the bed. Yeah, okay. Or I think Wendy's the one that has the alarm, right? Yeah. Okay. So, she must have been doing what she's doing right now. Oh, the other one went off? No. Okay. So, it looked like the first alarm went off, and then I guess the alarm Yeah, yeah. I can see. So, we need What was her name? Raisin. Yes. Raisin? The The patient? What's her name? Raisin. Raisin, yes. Is she coming back up here? Do we know where she went? She went to go give a She went to go give a report downstairs. All right, but do we know where the patient went? She went to go pee. You want Raisin? For her. Yes, please. We just need her uh She could even if she wants to just talk to him on the phone if you get her directly. We just need her information. Are we missing her? Yeah, we got to ask her about the patient now. Um I can take a quick look, but I'm not I wasn't told that. I thought we tried to piece the thing together. Thank you. Hi, ma'am. Alex, can I just I just can need your information real fast. Hold on. One second. Hi. I'm just dropping off some paperwork to the new patient over here. Oh. All right, can you say your first name? Deborah? Deborah? Deborah? Hi, Deborah. So, this is a summons for a simple assault. Uh do you remember me, ma'am? We were upstairs. Yeah. Okay, so listen. Because the actions were I'm giving you a summons for a simple assault, okay? So, you're going to have to uh go to court, okay? Okay? So, I have the date down here. It's uh fi- It's next month on the 15th, okay? At 8:30 in the morning. Who's pressing the charges, the cop? I I'm I'm a officer, ma'am. Officer Dywsaki. I was upstairs with you before. We were talking. All right, but who's pressing the charges? So, we are. This man. The cops are pressing the charges? >> Yes. So, the court date is on the bottom of the summons, and you'll have to appear there at that time, okay? All right. Okay. >> also a number on there. If you can't make that date, you got to call them and let them know, otherwise you can have a warrant out. All right. All right. Thank you. All right, take care. Bye, Deborah. It's going off. So, they all came in matching shirts.
