On the evening of February 1st, 2023,
around 6:11 p.m., Officer Beetley
received a notification about a vehicle
registered in Georgia. The alert was
tied to an outstanding warrant from
another county for the registered owner,
Taiwan Kaine. Upon spotting the vehicle,
Officer Beley confirmed the driver was
Kane through the open passenger window
and initiated a traffic stop. This is
what unfolded next.
All right, sir. Thank you very much. I
appreciate that. Do you have your
driver's license on you or some way?
Pardon? I want to know what I got pulled
over for. I seen you switching lane to
lane. Sure. So, I want to know what I
got pulled over for cuz if it's not
nothing, it's it's not going to be that.
Um, what I need to do is just identify
who you are because what came up for no
reason? No, sir. What came up? Truck
driver. What came up? Sure. Are you the
registered owner of this vehicle? Yes.
Okay. So, something came up with the
license for the registered owner of this
vehicle. What came up with this license?
I'm a truck driver. I'm a CDL truck
driver. Sir, I don't want to tell you
someone else's business. So, if you can
just identify who you are, then I can
clear this up. Taiwan Kane. All right.
And I want to and I need your badge. Mom
and all that pulled over. It's 145.
All right. Thank you very much. All
right. Just stay in the vehicle for me.
I'll be right back. Okay. Wait.
So, he's recording and he is a big man.
So, I will probably need some help.
[Music]
All right,
sir. Can you please step out of the
vehicle for me? Step out for what? Yes,
sir. I need to talk to you on the
sidewalk. Okay.
What I'm stepping out the vehicle for?
I'm in Joan Creek. I already made my
card and everything in there. That's
fine. I just over the side for me. I
need to know what I got pulled over.
Sir, I need you to step over the side
for me.
I'm not putting my phone up. I just got
pulled over for no reason. What y'all
going to do me like? Sir, I need you to
turn. What? Y'all going to do me like
they just said I did the What? Y'all
turn around for what? I need you to put
your hands behind your back for what?
Cuz there we come from county that we
need to take care of county. Yes, sir. I
ain't never stop county. Sir, do you
hear this? Sir, I need you to put your
name. I'm not until I found out what it
is. I'm not I'm not. What y'all going to
do? What you going to pull out your
taser? You see him? Go ahead and go hand
out here. Tas me. Go hands on work.
Don't tase me. I'm big. You need to
listen. You need to listen to those
officers, man. Don't tase me. Listen to
the street. Y'all ain't got to be
aggressive. Listen to those officers. We
will tase you. I'm on the phone. Look,
you see this right? We will tase you.
Listen to the officers. Put your hands
first. Put your hands behind your not
even telling me. Put your hands behind
you. We don't have to until we get this
figured out. You speak me to a sergeant.
I'm right here. You need to relax. I
just got off from work. Relax, dude. Put
your arms behind your back. Ain't got to
be aggressive. Stop resisting. Stop
resisting. I'm not resisting nothing.
Yes, you are. Let me speak to a
sergeant. You're pulling your arms out.
Relax. You're pulling your arms. I ain't
dead. I just got off of work. Put your
arms behind your back. You going to
break my wrist? What? Y.
We ain't going to do that. Hit me. I'm
not even listen. I'm telling you. Hit
me. I'm telling you. Put your arms
behind your back. Call a lawyer. I just
got pulled. She was switching lane to
lane and when she finally got behind me,
she blew like Stop resisting. Okay. My
arm behind my back. Is it good? She not
going to break my arm.
That's okay. I'll put it right here. She
can see that I got a work. I'm a truck
driver. Put it right here. I ain't never
been in county. Sir, your hand. Thank
you. Hello.
Man, I don't know. I seen her going lane
to lane. I don't know. I seen her going
lane to lane and she pulled me over. She
got behind five different cars. She got
behind me twice. She got behind me
twice. I'm on
Mc
Shake Terrace. Shake rad blacks
everywhere. The same subdivision I do
trashing.
I
work out of which uh you real What's
your last name? Kane. I just got off
work. What's your first name? Taiwan.
Okay. All right. Well, the reason why
she stopped cuz we didn't get Oh, what?
I don't We'll explain it to you.
Well, but when you don't listen and
you're you're amped up, we understand
work and I seen the sergeant, right? You
got to understand. Look, I seen her. She
dropped high. She jumped behind me three
times. That's okay. She's allowed to do
that. Okay. She jumped back and forth to
see what she going to do. She got behind
somebody else to see what she was going
to do. Well, she she has to look to see
if it's you or not. She runs the tag and
it comes back that the registered owner
has a warrant. She's got to get up and
see that every day. I stay up the
street. I I couldn't tell you what these
police do every day, but I know what she
has to do to be able to pull you over.
You know what I'm saying? So, now we're
just going to confirm that this warrant.
Can I push my half onto my ear? Calm on
the phone. Which one? This one. Can you
push it in? Tuck it. Tuck your head
down. I want your ear. So, here's the
thing. Here's the thing. If the warrant
if they don't want you, we'll cut you
loose. All right. I don't even know what
they want, too. We'll we'll we'll know
what that is here in a second. We have
the details.
We only have basically what's on the
label of the war. We don't know
everything. Correct.
It was for what? Stalking. Stalking or
intimidation? So they said we don't know
the details that I can't wait to file a
lawsuit. But you know what I'm saying?
We don't know what the details are of
that cuz we don't have the paperwork in
front of us. All right. So we have to
confirm that. All right. I bet y'all got
the right person. That's what we're
trying to figure out now. Yeah. Going to
do a lawsuit. I'm embarrassed right
here. It going to be a lawsuit. Well, we
hear that all the time unfortunately.
Okay.
above the You want to camera? You want
to confirm his ID with
He already got
[ __ ] It's above the Okay.
something about Yeah. Confiring
something and they'll let me go
something I don't want. So if county
wants you, which is extradition, if they
want to extradite you, then we have to
deliver you to them. Okay? So that's
what we're waiting for. We're waiting
for county to say, "Hey, we don't want
him or cuz the warrant is good." You're
the sergeant, right? I'm here to listen.
Un loosen these. I can't I'm telling you
to un loosen it. I'm a big guy. Look how
tight these arms is. If I move my hand
any kind of way, it going to break. You
listen. You weren't very cooperative
when we were putting because what you
don't we don't have to give and afford
you the opportunity of an explanation
until we get you
secured. That's not how this works. I
ain't going nowhere. Can you un loosen
me close? We don't know that, man.
Sorry, but as loose as you can get. I
can't even. We already gave you two
cups. All right. So,
listen. I ain't going nowhere. I'm not
running. So, I don't know why you
holding me like that.
Well, your actions so far have have led
us to believe I What I'm going to run
for? Where I'm running to? Well, you
didn't you didn't really from this side
of town. I just stay over here. You
didn't really let us handcuff you, dude.
What you mean? I pulled over when she
blew out of me. If that's the case, my
car is faster than me. Every car out
here. Is it or is it
not? Come on, man. That's 550 right
there. Come on, man. Nobody ain't
running for nobody. I got CDLs. It's
however long the county takes it. It it
it usually is only a few minutes. So
once we get them calling us back saying,
"Yeah, we're good to move forward."
Then I asked the same question. I said,
"Is there any updates for us?" And she
said they haven't called back yet.
So the the posting on our on our side
says in Georgia
only.
So, based on my assumption is you'd
probably be going with us today. But I

that he was not physically combative and
ultimately followed all directives, he
was then transported to the jail without
