When the man calmly asserted his rights and refused to identify himself without a lawful basis, the officers immediately escalated the situation, pulling him from the vehicle, handcuffing him, and detaining him simply for refusing to comply. But instead of backing down, he continued recording, demanded a supervisor, and exposed the flaws in the officers' understanding of the law.
