the video for today is going to be an
incident where officers arrested a man
who had felony warrants
in this case the warrant was for
aggravated burglary and assault there's
a couple of things that i would like to
point out about this video
the first being
this was an arrest that was made because
the officers had plain clothes officers
in the area
so in this case officers driving
unmarked cars not wearing uniforms were
patrolling the area they located this
man who they knew and knew had warrants
and called uniform officers in to make
the arrest
one thing i'd like to point out is that
the officers in this case were very
familiar with our suspect
i went through his criminal history
and in 2008 he was arrested for breaking
and entering and theft
in 2015 he was arrested for felony rsp
which is receiving stolen property
in 2016
he was arrested for drug trafficking and
possession of drugs
and then he had this warrant which was
from a case in 2020 for aggravated
burglary and assault
i started going through his misdemeanor
arrest and there were honestly too many
for me to go through
one thing that i'll point out
about this list of cases for his
misdemeanor arrest
is that all these cases that have a tr
in them those are going to be traffic
stops and traffic tickets
what this is an indication of
is a person who is known to commit
crimes the officers are aware of him
and they're going to proactively stop
him
when they see him and if he's committed
offense they're going to issue a traffic
ticket another thing about this video
that i'd like to point out is the
relationship between the officer and the
suspect and some of the conversation
that they had when they were driving to
headquarters
i left a little bit more of that in the
video than what i normally do
because i think a lot of people might be
surprised by the conversation
with all that being said
