Another detective uh tried to stop a vehicle and it uh took off from him. He's now in pursuit with it on the highway to seven. Interstate 10 crosses into Pinal County 71 mi north of the US-Mexico border. We're going to show you some of the issues we deal with every day that are related to border crimes. This is 71 mi and running. Well, that happens quite a bit, probably every four or five stops. You guys got BP coming? Yeah, I already called them. Awesome. Thank you. It started doing some erratic braking, looked like he was going to stop and maybe foot bail on us. Turned down a a road. Took us at a slow speed, kind of in a get us away from the roadway area, and then it doubled back and went back to the highway and went north where we it picked up its feet and we initiated the active actual pursuit of the vehicle. But then he turned in a neighborhood here and kept speeding through the neighborhood where he finally came to a stop in some poor guy's front yard, endangering a lot of people, all the innocent motorists that are on the roadway, could injure any of the deputies that are involved in the pursuit. It could even injure these persons that are in the vehicles as well, putting their lives in danger cuz they're not properly restrained if this vehicle were to get into an accident, could cause some serious injuries. So, glad it ended safe. Uh we have him in custody, we'll book him from the unlawful flight. We'll turn these subjects over to Border Patrol. This is a daily occurrence for us. Um it's always nicer when they pull over. It makes things a lot smoother and easier and safer for everybody, but we we occasionally get the ones that like to run.
