county sheriff mark lamb and i'm deputy chief matt hendrick and thanks for joining us on another episode of behind the bars [Music] we got a two for today this means we got a couple videos for you because they're similar in nature this one's these are called fighting cuffs a lot of people think just because you got cuffs on you can't fight uh trust me people can still fight in cuffs and i haven't seen either one of these videos so uh as usual i'm coming in completely blind this unit we're in now is what our our george right this is george united oh and they're coming at it he came running out so this guy has status and he has to protect his status so a lot of times what happens is if he's got to show every one of these inmates that you see up here now looking out of their windows that he's in control of this pod unfortunately he's not in control of the pod the officers are in control of the pod he pays the price by going in handcuffs but he's still gonna keep trying to fight he has to save his face yeah now he is this is our george unit so these guys don't have contact with each other because they're extremely dangerous they've been put in here for con now they put cuffs on him and he's doing it again now this is the same this is the same guy i'm actually probably in this unit right now with them during this fight um he is a high-ranking official and um in a criminal street gang and so once again he knows everybody's watching they're gonna message all of their buddies all of his homies all of his fellow gang members they're going to be getting these messages oh he's holding it down he's holding it down well he's being held down he has to do this once you are a are a professional criminal this is what you have to do it's an expectation oh look at there i see somebody that's the chief headroom there i am right there so this is actually um you see this camera view is actually remember how in a few episodes ago we showed one of the sergeants filming with a camera that's what you're seeing right now because they're interacting with these very high profile and dangerous inmates so they have cameras on them anytime they're moving around yeah and as you can see we're prepared with that camera right away we have standing marching orders that go along with these type of inmates that have this type of security required and he wants everybody to see as he's walking out he wants all the other monsters in there to see look at what look at me i fought the deputies this is an opportunity where you once again get to see my incredibly trained staff do their job we want you to do the same job for us right we're hiring come be part of the pcso family and thank you for joining us on another episode of behind the box [Music]
