This guy just wants to drive fast. Just stop somewhere. Turn that down. Why are you driving like that? That's a question. That means that there's then I ask you a question then an answer comes back to me. That's how conversations work. Why are you driving so fast? >> I'm trying to get home. Stomach hurt. >> You got a tummy ache? So, the first time I saw you, you were at 66 in a 40 and you are driving, changing lanes, tailgating, like you are just driving too fast. You are You're just everything about watching you drive is bad. Besides that, you never use your turn signal. It's like it doesn't even work. I mean you might be low on blinker fluid, I don't know. And then you have this giant crack across your entire windshield that looks like a map of I-10 across the United States. And you don't have any ID on you. >> No. >> See your registration paperwork and current proof of insurance. >> A few moments later. >> All right, give mom and dad a call. When you find your paperwork, hold it out your window for me. Stay in your car, okay? There's absolutely no reason to drive the way that he was driving, as aggressively and doing everything that he did, like literally just cuz he's going home. Absolutely not. Unbelievable. Okay, so first thing I saw you, like I said, 66 in a 40. Technically, you're doing a criminal amount of speed cuz you're 26 mph over the speed limit as you're weaving through traffic. Obviously unacceptable, right? But doesn't look like you've ever been stopped by us before. So, I didn't write you criminally, we just wrote you a regular speeding ticket. But you have to have a driver's license in your possession and you got to have current proof of insurance. So, those are your citations. You're getting a warning for criminal speed and a warning for that crazy cracked windshield. You have to get that fixed, okay? So, you have no mandatory court appearance. If you want to, you can appear at the Casa Grande Justice Court and say, "Nope, that wasn't me. Frank's crazy." You can try that. See you see how it works out for you. I'm going to give you that to you there. As I stand here at your window, are there any questions I can answer for you as to how or why anything has happened here today? >> Uh yeah, my turn signal? >> Yep. >> That was up there? >> Everywhere. Every time that you change lanes, you have to signal continuously for 100 ft before you change lanes. You can't just like signal and turn. You didn't even signal and turn. You just Does that thing work? You got to check your blinker fluid level. Yeah, it looks like it works. Just got to try it. All right. Signal, slow down. Appreciate you wearing your seat belt. Drive safe. Is there any reason that you are like 6 ft off the back of my car? You were You were so close to me that my cameraman who's right there was like, "Oh my god, she's riding you so close." And then I looked in my rearview mirror and I couldn't even see your headlights because you were so close to me. If I would have tapped on my brakes for any reason, you would have ended up in my backseat. All right. So, I'm Deputy Slope. I work for the Pinal County Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit. It's my job to pull over cars that have the possibility of driving like they're going to cause a collision. It's kind of what you did. See registration paperwork and current proof of insurance. >> I just started driving. This is my mom's >> Just started driving. Is this mom's car? >> Uh yeah, this is >> Mom has set you up for success. She did very, very good. All right. I'm going to I'm going to be back here. So, if you're new to driving, let me just throw a a hint a driving clue out there that if you're so close to the vehicle in front of you that you can't see their bumper, you should probably give some following distance because that's how cars rear-end each other. And that's how close she was to me. And she's like, "I just started driving." I'm like, "Well, the only way you're going to learn is by having someone stop you and tell you to stop doing that." So, that's where we're at now. I think I'm going to give her a break and I I don't really know why except I uh I mean, she's new, she's young. And like she might just not understand how dangerous following too closely is. She'll probably change her driving behavior simply being stopped by me. She might not need a ticket to get that point across. So, I'm going to talk with her a little bit more and if I'm satisfied that she's learned her lesson, I'm not going to give her a ticket. All right, miss. I'm going to give these back to you. Will you not follow cars so closely in the future? Yeah, make sure you give a little bit more distance. What? Oh, no, no, no. It's more than that. So, your car is about 12 ft long. So, roughly about like that, right? It might be a little bit longer, but so, you want to give at least at least two car lengths and the faster you go, the more distance because the longer it's going to take you to Just I'm Give a little Give a little bit more room. Okay, good good luck with everything you got going on. You too.
