hey folks sheriff lamb here now i often show you videos about how we intercept fentanyl being smuggled into our communities i want to show you something that happens on a regular basis when we don't catch those fentanyl pills and it's a good thing that our deputies are carrying narcan for cases just like this deputy cho is on a traffic stop right now uh just outside the city of casagrande he's requested a backup once we get on scene we'll be able to clarify exactly what he's got they see them walking down the alley so that's when i made contact with them they went to this little daycare yeah and the owners over there got pissed because they got kids yeah you see these cars creeping around she has fitting all in her one one fitting outfit of course you have it in her purse in her inner bra yeah you want to get a i want to see if i would get a female over here to pat her down and get that fentanyl sometime during this stop she had it hidden on her person they came back to do a more thorough search on her seeing what was coming i think we were eventually going to find what she had she took it upon herself to ingest the fentanyl get her to the shape breathe in breathe it in breathe it in start breathing normal it happens quite often out here i would say most of our deputies we go through it quite a bit uh we have to resupply it uh to our guys okay breathe normal she's gonna convulse for a minute she's gonna hit her she's gonna get a sudden urge of energy every couple weeks or so somebody on a different squat is asking for more boxes in narcan it's a huge problem out here you know it is disturbing because they see this a lot without the community keep breathing come on breathe be careful she may throw up too she's gonna be okay yeah we gave her some narcan so whatever the adverse uh effects of the drug will be wearing off here pretty soon we got meds there we go that's the reaction i was looking for there we go there you go this one's got delayed reaction i've had them where they snap out of it just like that so i was thinking yeah i was thinking uh we're going to give her another dose but now she's it hit her having the narcan that we have issued to us you know saved her life all right have you done this before before as much as we do take it off you can see how easily and how prevalent it is out here in the community it's a little disheartening you know what i mean you see it but we deal with it so often that it's second nature to us i mean to us it's just another day at the job i mean no different than somebody delivering mail you know or whatever this is just another day now we're gonna keep doing the best we can to keep these dangerous drugs like fentanyl out of our communities and to anyone considering taking one of these drugs this could be your reality there are no safe drugs on the streets stay safe and god bless
