The reason I stopped you is you didn't move over when you went past my partner there. He and I both had our flashing lights on and you drove directly next to me and the lane next to you was totally open and you could have moved over as required by Arizona law to give me room, but you can't pass me in the adjacent lane at the speed limit 45-50, which is what you were doing. I don't like it when people put my partner's safety in danger. So, it doesn't look like you've ever been stopped by the Pinal County Sheriff's Office for anything traffic related before. So, what we're going to do is, technically, letter of the law, you're doing a criminal amount of speed. That doesn't mean I need to write you a criminal ticket, and I'm not going to. So, you're doing 69 in a 45, so you're 24 miles an hour over the speed limit. Anything over 20 constitutes a criminal amount of speed. But, we kept it civil. And then, you just have to have current proof of insurance. All you have to do is show the court. They're just going to dismiss that ticket as long as you were in compliance. Like, we get it.
