He's at over 100. I got him at 108. Hey there, see your driver's license, please. All right, well I'm Deputy Sloper, work for the Pinal County Sheriff's Office traffic unit. Just want to let you know you're under arrest for criminal speed. I locked you in a radar at over 100 while you were passing all those cars. May I also see your registration paperwork and proof of insurance? Any reason for your criminal amount of speed tonight? Uh I was just passing everybody cuz they were going kind of slow there. Which is also known as the speed limit. Yeah. All right, that one looks like it's good till '26. Give that to you there. Hang tight for me. Everything here is got you on radar. Okay. Southbound. Uh we're stopped right now at the that mile post that's right in front of us there in green is mile post 146. >> Yes. Um so the next one to the north of us is 147. Uh that's where I locked you in at 108 as you were passing all those cars. Posted speed limit here is 65 for the totality of State Route 79. So because you're in excess of 85 mph and quite a bit above that, um the citation is criminal in nature, simply a criminal speed citation. All that that means is that you're obviously not going to go to jail tonight, but what you are going to need to do is appear on the day of December, which is a Monday at 9:00 in the morning. I want to try to get that court date changed to Wednesday or Thursday. You cannot. They only hold court on Monday. Okay. Uh all that criminal means is that you have it mandates that you appear. Okay. That's it. That's all it is. It's nothing nothing super crazy. Um it is simply the fact that you're you're so fast that it's uh that the judge pretty much wants to talk to you. Just need a signature [clears throat] there. That just says you promise to take care of it one way or another. Does not admit any sort of guilt or responsibility. Um as I stand here at your window, are there any questions I can answer for you before I release you back into the wild here? >> Uh no. All right. Hey, we have a this is a rough road for for speeders and >> years. and collisions. >> first time I've ever been pulled over here. >> Wow. Usually I only go 72. That 72 you would never ever get pulled over ever in the history of ever. Sometimes people are driving at the speed limit or right below and then I'll pass them. Yep, I get it. I get it. So I appreciate you being cool. Take care of that. You drive safe tonight. Thank you. There we go. That's way better. Hi, see your driver's license, please. I didn't even bring my wallet with me. Can you guys look at my name though? I might be able to. So you got to wear your seatbelt. We seatbelts are important. Uh you see that little blue marker on your dash? Yeah. You know what that means? Um >> Means your brights are on. You're blinding everyone. Wow. Yeah, so when you go like this, now your lights are off. And the reason that you're driving with your headlights on is because Um your headlights don't work. >> [laughter] >> They don't work or they off? There you go. Looks like they're on. Okay. Yep, but >> Okay, that's good. What they were is they were they were your brights are on. Oh. So now I also found out while I was stopping you that your plates are suspended. Suspended? Yeah, so may I see uh you don't have any ID on you? So I've no idea who you are. I don't know. I actually hold on. That app thing now. >> Yeah, the app thing's up. It is by the law not an acceptable Yeah, I literally have Wednesday I live right there at Wednesday at JC and then like a little loopy loopy around. Sorry. Cuz that back Well look, you have a little you have a little gun in your hand. Yeah, yes, it's matching tattoo and my >> very Casa Grande. Hey, that says ID card. I'm not from Casa Grande. >> That says identification card. Yeah, I took my my driver's test I I don't little thingy and so I couldn't do it, but I'm going to give you like the papers and stuff. So everything. So you don't have a driver's license. No, I don't. >> that just so I can get the like the Oh, yeah, here it is. >> Have you ever had a license? No, so I just was I was just I just got my I just did the little driver's test like the written test and I passed it and then as I was trying to do the I mean the driver's test, I didn't have a horn. So whose car is this? >> This is my car. Who's it registered to you? >> Yes. Okay. So since you don't have a driver's license, you you know you shouldn't be driving, right? And you know where they teach you what that little blue emblem means when you get your driving license and you go through driving school what that little with the blue emblem is? >> Oh well, I didn't really go through the driver's school. I kind of just took like the written test. I really didn't like I don't got no parents or anything like that, so sorry. It's okay though. I don't know. Do you have a license or a registration insurance? Yeah, I'm grabbing that. Hold on. Hey, all in. Here. Oh my goodness, I don't know what to put. Sorry. Look, there it is. We have all sorts of Yeah, great. I'm sorry. Yeah, I'm just I'm going through everything right now. I get it. I get it. She apparently just moved to Casa Grande, doesn't have a ID card on her and has never been contacted by us before, but has suspended license plates, doesn't seem to have proof of insurance, doesn't seem to have anything in order. So we issued some citations today and sent her home on foot. All right, miss Do you happen to have current proof of insurance for your vehicle? Do you have proof of it? Cuz your plates are suspended for lack of mandatory insurance. Okay. Uh well that's just I was in between jobs. I just I just started a new job so and I had to get this apartment. I'm just I'm oh my god. And they just probably cuz I ain't paid it um just this this recent month, but if I pay it, it should still be there, you know? But it is not and it's suspended And it's as of right now. >> Like how far is it? Mhm. Hang tight for me. Oops. That was on your car. Packers? Yep, that was on there. Those are the screws that held your license plate. Okay. >> So when your plates are suspended and you don't have current proof of insurance, you don't have driver's license and all that stuff, they suspend your plates. So what happens per Arizona state law is when your plates are suspended, we take them. And what that does is it makes you go to MVD, right? Cuz you got to have a plate. So and then when you go there, you have to show them current proof of insurance. So that's kind of how that works. Okay. So that is that's the road that we are going down here this evening. I picked the top ones cuz you got a lot of stuff going on. So you have to have a driver's license. Okay. Your plates are suspended and you don't have current proof of insurance. And if you get into a crash, you got to wear your seatbelt. Now, yes, you can get a uh citation for driving and blinding me with your high beams. Yes, you can get a citation for having that Packers thing on your license plate cuz it covers the word Arizona, all that stuff. But I didn't give you any of those. I didn't give you any of those things, so don't worry about that. Okay. Cuz I don't want to but you're still getting a bunch. And with no plate on here, you can't drive your car. Now we're on private property here, so so that's fine. I would say park this car. Just park it legally here. Okay. You live right down the road, right? >> I literally live in this apartment building right there. Okay. Leave your Yep, absolutely. So leave your leave your car. Okay. Um and then MVD is just right here. You know where MVD is? It's right there. You know I live there. >> It's right on Cottonwood right down there. So you can go there tomorrow, take care of all this stuff, get everything all taken care of and then you'll be good to go. Okay. So in here is your registration you gave me. There's an old registration. You can throw that one away because you're not an angel. You may be an angel, but your name is not Angel. Are there any questions about anything before I release you back onto the mean streets of >> [laughter] >> Casa Grande-istan? >> No, I appreciate you being kind. >> I got you. Thank you. Thank you so much for being so kind and You too. >> when whenever you get everything done, You stay blessed. I got you. I'm going to do it. I'll get Yes, ma'am. Thank you. Thank you.
