On March 16th, 2025, officers arrived at a local supermarket following reports of a shoplifter fleeing the premises. Here's what occurred. Right over here? Uh who's uh who's trying to steal? The lady with the long hair. Not that one. She was She's over there by calling the police. She's talking to them. Okay. She scanned some stuff and we like wait for her receipt. Checked everything. The things that she didn't scan are right over there. It came out to like $102, which I believe over 75 we needed to call the police. So that's why we did. Uh and that's all. So So it was over over $100? $102.62 I believe exactly. $102.62? Yeah. She had a Florida ID. It's a legit ID. Like it's an identification card. I wouldn't even be able to tell if it was. So they just got a copy of it. So you guys want us to to to to charge her with a certain offense today? Well, you got to ask the manager. He's right over there. Yeah, I would double check with him. Earlier she was fine. She was fine. Like she went off on her own. We shopped. She did her own shopping. I did my shopping. In the store she called me and she was like, "I'm going to the register. I'm going to pay cuz I want to go outside and smoke." I went and got Dino Nuggets. And I was like really slow. I asked the guy, well he left on a skateboard, but he helped me cuz I didn't know how to do it. I just moved here from New York. How to do a self-scan thing. And then the guy told me she quit. She stole. And then all of this is like a shock to me. Like I did not expect this whatsoever. I'm like I looked at the guy like, "Who would want to steal at this hour at night?" I'm walking out and I was in complete shock cuz it's her. I got you. Now now is this behavior new or has it happened before or She's always had a little behaviors, but stealing is something new to me. No, I get you. Now I'm more concerned with her her mental stability. Me, too. So cuz she So you think this is new, her being really like nervous? I think that that's something new, her being nervous. Do you believe she should she should see a doctor today? No. No? Okay. No. I don't think she should see a doctor. I don't think she's like Does she she prescribe medication? Not that I'm aware of, no. Okay. So she hasn't been diagnosed by a doctor, right? No. Not with medication. Not with medication, but she has spoken to a doctor in regard to her mental health. From what he told me, yeah. Okay. Okay. All right. So, again, um just come to our police department. We're just going to ask you guys to wait outside. We'll release her. She'll be able to come back outside. She'll probably give you guys a call, see where you guys are at, and we'll let you guys be on your way, okay? If anything changes due to her her her mental health, um she she might be transported to the hospital today, okay? So, we're going to ask her a few questions, and we'll see how that turns out, all right? Yeah. Regardless, we'll come outside and let you guys know, okay? Thank you, guys.
