on October 14th 2024 officers responded to ShopRite on reports of a shoplifting in which the actor was in custody of store security the individual identified as a 65-year-old male was seen placing items into a bag that was hidden inside a shopping cart and when security stopped him on his way out he tried to use an old receipt that included 12 items totaling $544 here is what occurred responding to shop R forting 900 Clinton What car what car we uh 107 107 it's going to be mea and Rodriguez 20 right how you doing man good cler all right so uh tell me what happened uh long story short the gentleman here um he has stolen in shop right before I did I got different store that was thrown out I have the beginnings of dementia and I had went to the doctors went to the judge judge threw it out [Music] not I guess I'm going to jail now my son's on his way how will he find me he could respond to headquarters 106 Hudson Street to the headquarters correct can I text him that did you tell him to me here yeah 106 story sure he selected meats and other items I I didn't need I didn't know I got that meat in my thing I don't I don't need it I just shoed the union four and then he begins concealing everything he grabbed from the top of his shopping cord at the [Music] bottom and then 346 is when he gets ready to be on his way out here you can see him here he can't go out through the entrance cuz the arm guard is there so here he pulls out a fake receipt out of his shorts it's not a fake receipt receipt oh not with the items that you selected then he walks out through an empty register and that's where we apprehended him outside at the left of it okay um do you have a list of the items that were in the cart yes the so he didn't pay for $95 and yes is your current home address yes but um I think for the mailing purposes they use the store address you have the phone number I wake for Wake for like wake like wake up w a k e yeah f e r n all right do you do you need any U medical attention sir my diabetes is way up high right now and PR said I'm just my mind is gone I mean I'm going for [Music] bra what you an ambulance no an ambulance yeah you said your diabetes was out of the roof yeah it's up it's way yeah all right so we'll just have him go there but he's still going to be placed underr M so can you stand up Sir I'd rather just turn around for me you do do it in the front CU of my arms or you do cups Just in take this table leave on the table there's going to be one male T5 what happened do you have anything that's going to poke or harm us in your pockets I have my no not really I don't think I have uh my keys and uh oh a shock much need to wash that's it that's all I have oh batteries I had to change it for my grandday tell me what's going to happen now um go to headquarters process IAL so if you don't then I might go on a summons I mean I I went through this and I I had to go to the I had it get it thing done and the judge threw it out your vehicles parked here yes my son's on his way though sure my daughter-in-law is coming is this a jacket let me no9 76797 6797 767 97 oh my bad that was sorry okay all right yeah we're good okay are you ready sir whatever you guys just stay your front of me pleas like I said on my feet all right I got you you got me yep now are you sure my son's going to know where to come yeah he'll know this I have to go for a brain scan tomorrow this is crazy I just had a stroke leing on the frame is [Music] right when did you have that stroke I have my stroke in June that I that's coming off body right before that and uh did and a p maker you want to go on that side well I appreciate you're not manh hand I am not a bad person it's not right just watch your head okay yes need a little just all right I'm in now then what is the procedure that I have to go through we have to do the paperwork [Music] okay [ __ ] hey thanks for being decent people it's how we doing this m yeah then I'm just going to need you to face that wall for me okay yep stay right here this you don't have to put your head on there [Music] but oh is that to tight yeah I'll fix it any all right we're going to go inside now just going to need you to face this wall now all right I'm going to I'm going to unhandcuff you and then you're going to put your hand on the wall for me okay this one put my hand under the one yep the other one too yep okay can I put my head in the um it's going to be real quick just got to pack down um you just sit down there can you take your shoes off we just sit here there yeah you can sit there you can I pull this down yeah put on tight hello hello what's your name know they said I shot but I don't the man was charged with shoplifting transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters processed and then released with a Summons in court date please share your thoughts on this arrest and don't forget to like share and subscribe [Music]
