Kiss you. >> I got one hand. Oh, my head. My head. Oh, yeah. The other arm. >> All right, I'll get the dog. No, please. >> They say dogs are man's best friend. But not when that man is a criminal. Canines aren't just pets. They're highly trained officers with teeth sharpener than justice itself. So, what happens when they mess with the wrong dog? >> Start. Okay. Come on. Let's go. >> Got it. >> Okay. >> My dog. >> Okay. >> Here are several satisfying moments when stupid criminals who tried to mess with police dogs ended up biting off more than they could chew. Starting with a teenage carjacker whose wild attempt to outrun the Lord took a painful twist. In his frantic bid to escape, he found himself before an unforgiving canine. WALKING on the ground. [screaming] >> On July the 24th, 2024 in Dayton, Ohio, police received an alert from [music] a license plate reader, someone who was cruising around in a stolen Cadillac. As responding officers closed in, it became clear that these suspects weren't planning to surrender quietly. What should have been a simple recovery was about to erupt into a high-speed game of cat and mouse across the city streets. Holy >> God, he almost don't like my car today. It's like the third freaking time almost got hit. >> Watch out. Watch out. Watch out. You're good. You're good. You're good. Watch out. Like [ __ ] breaking. Okay, you're good, dude. >> What are you doing, you stupid What do you think that means? What do you think that means? >> As a chase intensified, the driver of the stolen Cadillac lost control and slammed into a crash that ended the ride, but kicked off a whole new kind of chaos. >> Caused a crash and it is now subtle. It >> was good work catching up to it, finding it. Proud of you, Jimmy. That's what I do. >> Got one out. Driver's got a black sweatshirt on both. Go fast [music] >> right there. >> HAND YOUR HANDS. >> I'M NOT RESISTING. I'M NOT RESISTING. I'm not resisting. >> I'm sorry. >> I stopped. >> You didn't stop. >> Yes, I did. I say I got it. >> YOU DIDN'T STOP. >> I PUT MY HANDS UP. >> I found the suit. >> Me, too. Spread your legs, >> bro. I spreading my legs. What are you doing? >> Surely there's no guns. You clowns love to carry guns on the cars. >> Don't. >> What's your lawsuit going to say? You're going to stole your car. >> I stopped. >> You're going to mention that. >> Oh, we can. >> Absolutely. I can >> I stopped. >> You didn't stop. If you stopped, why is your car about 150 yards that way? While one suspect was calmly cuffed and taken into custody without so much as a scratch, same mercy couldn't be said for his partner in crime. His escape attempt earned him a very different reception. A face off with a K-9 that didn't believe in second chances. PARKING. [screaming] NO. Got it. I GOT IT. GET ON THE GROUND. >> WHAT? >> NO. >> YEAH, I'm fine. You stupid. >> God damn it. >> Dumb ass. Jesus Christ. >> God damn it, Ronnie. You hurt anywhere? >> Anybody hit you? >> No. Did I tase you? You bit by a dog. Okay. engine. >> He's fine. >> That vehicle was reported stolen and from what the chopper related to us, we were driving the vehicle and you guys came out of the vehicle and ran on foot. So, you're going to have couple charges on you, okay? And I'm I'll take you to JJC. >> Eventually, the suspects were charged with grand theft auto and fleeing and eluding an officer. Still on the list of dumb criminals who thought they could take on police dogs is another stupid criminal who decided to ignore every warning thrown his way and gambled with his life because he was confident that he could outsmart and outrun a canine. >> Attention the area police K9 suspect track police dog are under arrest. Let me find you. He may bite you. Need to give up now. LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS. >> We got contacts out. >> Good boy. Foss, get your hands out. On November the 20th, 2021 in Spokane, Washington, officers sprang into action, tracking down a hitand-run suspect who had up the stakes by also pointing a firearm at bystanders. When they reached his last known location, they called in the K-9 unit. And that was when the [music] game changed. Now the fugitive wasn't just hiding from the cops. He was up against a nose that never misses and a set of nice jaws built to end a chase. >> Hey, so filming what you guys know. Last seen jumping somewhere between these two houses. Don't know if it's north or south. >> Another neighbor said that a guy jumped 1823 cow spell that way. So you could be kind of going in an angle where your tracking team >> gray long sleeve shirt blue jeans black snapback hat. >> You want to check that uh is this your fur? >> Yeah. We want to just check any updates and see if they did put a a name in there. >> We're going 35 minutes. Let's go. >> If he's in the perimeter, he's good. If he's out of the gene, we're not catching him. >> They said it was about 15 minutes before they got >> So, K, did you say you had a suspect name? Possibly. >> Only name info we have is the registered owner who's a female. Okay, copy. We're about to start that track. Attention the area police K9 suspect being tracked by police dog war under arrest. When he finds you, he may bite you. You need to give up now. Citizens, stay in your homes. >> Tall fences on this side. Sounds like shorter fences on the other side. There's access to the alley. Okay. yard straight to the alley. >> We'll push just to see the fence this way so you pick it up and then go from there. Attention the areas can't police can suspect been tracking police you arrest. Need to give up now. >> The officers gave him a simple choice. Surrender peacefully or face the wrath of the canine. But arrogance clouded his judgment [music] and he decided to roll the dice. Now it was a gamble between his ignorant self [music] and the ever inquisitive nose of police canine. Stoper. Let's go. We want to go to the alley if they confirm the alley. We'll pop back around cuz this we ain't climbing this fence. Too much of a pain. Come here. Right here. There's a cut right here. Leave it. >> This is that yard here. Stop. >> He tried to hide, ducking and weaving through the shadows. That was going to be futile. For 15 intense minutes, officers and their four-legged partners swept the area like hunters closing in on prey. >> Anybody in this area, make yourself known. Is there any animals or anything? I see. Can't even tell what's back here. Let him go. >> I was going to see. >> Hey, right here. >> Here. Something. Hey, here. Let me see your hands. What has he got in there? Looks like a gene right there. >> That's definitely >> Let me see your hands. >> We got contact. >> Keep your hands up. >> Good boy. >> FS. Get your hands out. >> Keep your hands up. You're going to get shot. You understand? Spokane police. >> F them. F. Good boy. F that guy. >> F. Buddy. >> Good boy. >> That guy. Where's your hands? I can't see his hands one bit. >> I need someone to get >> in the yard. Somebody. >> Let me go first. Right here. >> Keep your hands up right there. Do not move. >> We're right here. >> Good boy, brother. That's a good boy. That's a good boy. K18, this is our suspect. Why don't you have medics come stage in the street force for a can contact [snorts] >> that ball cap says that was part of the description. Okay, >> he's got some sort of knife or tool right there. Good boy. You okay? >> You okay? >> Good boy. That's a good boy, Ken. Okay. Eventually, he was charged with firstdegree assault, three counts of hit-and- run injury, secondderee burglary, resisting arrest, and operating with a suspended license. Joining the infamous Hall of Fame of criminals who thought they could mess with a canine, is Bo, an iate ex-boyfriend [music] who figured threatening the cops with a firearm was the golden ticket to avoiding a domestic disturbance arrest. [ __ ] >> Drop the [screaming] gun. >> DROP THE GUN. >> HANDS UP. >> HANDS UP. >> HEY, POKEY. PERKY. STAY BACK. >> On April the 26th, 2023 in Campbellport, [music] Wisconsin. Officers responded to a tense domestic disturbance. A caller reported that [music] her 25-year-old ex-boyfriend, Bo, was outside her home, pounding on the door, refusing to leave, and threatening her with a firearm. When officers arrived, they found him right where she said he'd be. But the moment B spotted them, his temper ignited like a lit fuse, setting the stage for a storm of chaos that was about to erupt. We go some backyard, too. Pretty lit up here. So, if we come across the street, come up from the south side. Looks like we have some pretty good cover. >> Okay, there was some decent sized trees that we could maybe some [music] position for. I think it sucks the house is angled, so he might be on this side. Cross. Let's go back to see if we can see right there. >> Bo didn't just mutter threats to his ex-girlfriend. He also threatened to discharge his 9 mm firearm at the cops. So, the officers moved like chess players. Careful and calculating. >> This is a good spot. >> So, as soon as we move up, he's going to know we're here cuz we'll keep right back here for now. >> So, we're in position until we get the go time and then we'll move up to that corner. But until now, that's what I'm thinking. Stay here. This is a good spot. Does he want to send the dog? So, we're going to try. We're going to give him a phone. See if he Jesus Christ. See if he gives up. Once he gets his phone back, and if that doesn't happen, we're going to hit him with two less lethals and send the dog at the same time. Okay. When he sends it, we'll you can follow behind us, but we're going to be slow getting up to him. >> Yeah. Once once the dog's on the bite. Hey, once it's on the bite, burps will follow in behind us. We take him into custody. >> [ __ ] PARK THE GUN. THE GUN. [screaming] >> Drop the gun. >> PUT YOUR HANDS UP. HANDS UP. >> HANDS UP. HEY BY, STAY BACK. >> WAIT, WAIT. HANDS. HANDS. >> HEY, give us your hands. Give us your hands. >> Take it. Take it. >> Take it. >> Give us your hands. >> I I did. Take the hand. >> All right. >> I I can't do anything. Take it. Here. Good, >> man. You're good. >> Take the hand, dude. I'm not resisting. You're good. You're good. >> I'm not resisting. Take the hands. Take it. Take it. I'm not resisting. Take that. Take the hands here. >> Are you injured at all? Do you have any other weapons on you at all? >> Uh, I was injured, but I'm fine. >> Okay. >> Uh, I lost the clip. It's somewhere on the property. I don't know if >> you Okay. >> Are you okay? >> I'm okay. >> No more guns on you, though. >> No, I swear to God, dude. >> You're good, man. Hey, we'll work through everything. Okay. >> The gun's there, but the the clip's gone. >> You're good. >> I don't know. >> We're going to roll you onto this side. We're going to check your waistband. Okay, sir. >> Guys, my best you got to go find it. I don't know >> where it went. I'm fine. >> You're good. >> I've been bitten. >> Do you need an ambulance at No, I'm all good. Okay. Somebody was >> Maybe it's in my I don't know where the clip went. >> We'll worry about all that later. Okay, man. >> Uh there's no other weapons. >> You're good. No needles, no nothing. >> No, I suppose be careful from my back pocket. My bike key is in there. >> Okay. >> If you're Please don't lose it. >> You're good. >> Oh, I can't I can't take it anywhere then. That's the only key I got. >> This one right here? >> Yes, sir. >> I'm going to keep this one in your front pocket. >> That's the only key I got. K9 had launched on him like a storm after the calm and by the look of things that had led to Bo having a factory reset in real time. He had learned the golden rule the hard way. Never mess around when there's a K9 in the mix. >> Did the dog get you or was it just your jacket? >> Yeah, got me twice. >> Was it Did it go through or just your jacket? >> It probably probably went through, dog. >> Okay, I'm fine. I'm used to it. >> All right, boss. I'm going to roll you on your other side. It's fine. I'm going to check your other side. >> It's fine. It's fine. We're just making sure it's >> no round in the chamber. >> Well, the mag's right there. So, >> yeah, we're just making sure you're safe for our safety, right? We don't want anything else happening. >> It's fine. I I don't I don't got anything. >> Which arm did the dog get? >> My left right there. >> Your left. Okay. >> Uh by by the forearm by uh or the elbow. >> Okay, we'll take a look at it. Other than that, what hurts? >> Huh? >> Other than that, what hurts? >> Just the arm. Okay. >> Where is that holster? That side holster. >> There's no holster. >> There is no side holster. Okay. >> Oh, it's just >> What are you ripping? >> We're just cutting the coat, boss. >> My coat? >> Yeah. For your arm. >> Not the leathers. Not the leathers. Just the coat. Okay. You guys got to check that arm out. >> If it is, we can stop it. All right, bud. >> Don't cut the shirt. >> Don't cut the shirt. >> You got buttons on your shirt. You're good. >> We'll try and roll it up. >> Got it. >> Yes, he was. >> All right, man. >> Didn't go through, so you're good. You ain't even hardly bleeding. You haven't bleed at all. Okay. >> You want to tuck your feet in? We'll get you stood up then. Okay. >> So, bring your feet up towards your bottom. >> I'll just have you sit normally. Okay. >> Ready? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> There you go. >> Put this one down on the ground. >> There you go. >> There we go. You good? >> Yeah. >> Any injuries at all? You feeling >> your arms up bleeding? You're good then? Okay. >> Yeah, I can. Boy, can I pull my >> P your pants up? >> Yeah, >> we got you. >> Thanks for that. What's going to happen to my bike? >> I don't know the answer to that, man. I'm not in charge. >> That's the only thing I care about. >> The bike? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Like, >> where do you live? >> Can you guys like take it to the station or something? >> We probably can't take it to the station. Um, >> I don't want to leave it here. >> We'll probably have Shills tow it then. Okay. Then at least it'll be safe away from everybody else. Yeah. >> It's the safest place for >> Yeah. Yeah. It'll be Shills. It's in Camelport. >> It's a tow truck company. So they have it's basically a yard where they can >> you guys can't just ride over the way. >> No, I don't think any of us ride. >> Leaving it here. You don't want to leave it here. >> I don't want to leave it here. >> Yeah. So it probably better go in there. >> Let's get him in a squad car. >> There's nothing bad >> and then this way you can warm up a bit. Okay. No, no, no, nothing bad. Well, let's start walking so we can warm you up and we'll grab all the keys and your possessions. Okay, sir. >> Yeah, it's fine. >> Okay. And a phone. >> It's a little It's a little rip, but nothing crazy. Your leather's still good. Well, >> we'll toss that on. Where did the bean bags hit you? >> I don't know. I don't know. >> Okay. I think it was legs. >> Legs. Chest maybe. >> Okay. Leg. >> Yep. Just sit down. It's confusing at first. >> Damn. >> Is it warmer for [music] you? [snorts] >> A little. Yeah, it's fine. >> Okay. In the end, he was hit with a laundry list of charges, including first-degree recklessly endangering safety, battery, and threat to an officer, carrying a concealed weapon with a permit, and two counts of disorderly conduct. Bo will never forget that experience in a hurry, and neither will Floyd Roberts, a wannabe tough guy who was confident that he could mess with anybody, including the cops. And he ended up being humbled and humiliated by a canine. >> He just went inside the house and broke one of our big old $1,500 TVs. >> Well, he go to jail for that. He done set fires throughout my house and I've had the fire department over here twice. >> Hold him. Dylan. Dylan. Dylan. >> How many [ __ ] hands? >> I can't see. >> Give me the other arm. >> Give me your other arm. >> On January the 10th, 2025 in Palm Beach County, Florida, officers were dispatched to a neighborhood after reports of a psycho wreaking havoc. When they arrived, they dove straight into investigating the situation. But little did they know, they were about to step into a ticking time bomb of madness, ready to explode before their very eyes. >> Why is this happening to me on my birthday week? >> Happy birthday week. >> What's What's going on? >> Can I help you guys? >> Do you know Adrien? >> Yes. >> She called us. >> Oh, yes. Someone came. This guy named Floyd came to our house. >> You got her phone number? >> Yes. >> You call her? Tell her to come outside. >> You know Floyd? Not really, but we've been having issues with this guy. >> Does he stay here? >> No, he doesn't. A Fredly, he comes and visits, but he comes and makes a horrible mut. He set two fires here. He set two fires in my backyard. >> Mhm. >> Oh, you live here? >> I live here. >> Oh, okay. Who else lives here? Adrian lives here. >> Adrian stays here. I I took them in. >> Okay. How do we know it was Floyd? >> She's going to tell you. Oh, >> okay. I'm just wondering. >> I'm just wondering. Like I'm trying to figure out, okay, he needs to be Marshall act. He needs to be Go ahead. Go ahead and do that. We need y'all to do that. Okay, >> Adrian, step outside. They're here. The police are here. They want you to step outside, but he needs to be marching at ASAP. >> You guys got to go to the courthouse for that. We if if we if we talk to him and he meets our baker act criteria, we can baker him. >> He meets the criteria. Why you yelling at me? >> I'm not yelling. I'm just giving you how >> I'm just saying but we have an emergency criteria. If for some reason he normalizes by the time we speak to him like I'm fine. They're they're the ones that crazy. I don't want I don't want to. >> And he don't Hold on. And he don't meet our criteria. Then that's the case. >> He just went inside the house and broke one of our big old $1,500 TVs. >> Well, he go to jail for that. >> I'm not I'm not going to baker him for that. >> He stole some [ __ ] He done tore up this man's tow up her car. >> He's going to get Bradshaw acted. Not not Baker. He didn't set fire. He done set fires throughout my house. And I've had the fire department over here twice. >> And this is beyond >> beyond everything. >> So, are you the home owner? >> I'm the person that owns the property that takes care of the property. I know the the the property person that owns it, but I'm the one that takes care of it. >> But she lives here full time. >> She lives here full time with me. I brought her in. My landlord said it was fine. It's okay. You scratch another person's back, you're going to scratch another person's back all day cuz he scratched my back and I'm scratching their back cuz they scratched mine. >> Okay. >> But just when the officers thought they were starting to piece things together, Adrien showed up and with her came a twist that revealed something far more sinister. >> So, we just need him. His name is Floyd Roberts. He needs to be his family wants it. So I can give you his mom's number. They say we can't do it. They got to go to the courthouse. [clears throat] >> But they need to just scoop him up. >> They're afraid of their own child. >> Who is he? Who is he to? >> He's He's just a dear friend of mine, but he's not who I knew him as. Does that make sense? >> Like this man. No, he's gone. He's just Hey, >> hey, young lady. >> You think this is a game? >> So, >> you want one of these to arrest young lady? >> Like, he broke our TVs inside. Like, and we don't have >> What happened today? >> Today? Um, well, in the last 24 hours, he lit fires here. We have fires there. We have fires in the back. Why? >> We don't know. >> Does he ever sleep? >> No. No. >> He just wants everything. Like if you don't do what he wants at that moment, >> he gets hurt. >> All right, tell us what why are we here today? Like he broke >> because I'm afraid for my family and he broke in and my mom's staying over there >> and he punched the TV or only TV she has to watch. >> You guys were home when this happened? >> No, he actually just came back. It's her birthday. >> My mom was home and she said that he got nuts and just started screaming and yelling and said, "I don't [ __ ] deserve this." You don't deserve what you've stolen from me. >> I need to have your stolen witness to that. >> That's fine. She doesn't mind doing that. >> Um here's his mom. His mom is more than willing. >> I would love to press alone. >> A lot of charges you stole from me. >> She can I want to press charges. >> Let's just Let's just stay on what happened today. >> Okay. >> Let's just stay on what happened today. So he broke in and then he punched your TV. >> Completely broken. >> How did he get in? I just kept the door in. >> Okay. So, like you broke the door down. >> We basically keep the door locked, but for some odd reason cuz mom, she, you know, has to get out most. You know what I'm saying? >> Mom watched him do this. >> No, she can. Oh, well. Yeah. >> No, she watched him do that. Not so much the door cuz she was in the bed. Yeah. >> But she watched him punch the TV. >> That's his mom's number. >> Her name is Donald Robertson. >> Cuz he doesn't have a phone number. >> He does. He has several of them. like multiple >> uh right now. You could pick one right now. He he kicked in the door at the window. You could see the damage on my truck. >> But what what does he drive? >> He drives all types of cars. >> Yeah. Like >> mom able to come outside or she's not mobile. >> She's not mobile. >> She's not mobile. >> Absolutely. Taking in everything that they had just heard, the officers decided to see the destruction for themselves before making their move. And with every step, it became clearer that they weren't just dealing with a disturbance. They're about to face a whole new level of insanity. >> If you see him coming down the street, just holler. All right. >> So, the fire caused over there. >> That's right. >> This was on Tuesday. >> Yeah. And he just decided to just ruin everything cuz we're rebuilding this place. We don't. >> Where does mom live? >> Where did he kick? >> Come here, baby. >> Right there. >> Kicked it open. >> Kicked it open. We finally had it locked. I realize this is like not looking great, fellas. But we're doing everything that we can to just Come ahead. You're more than >> Mom's in there. >> Yes. Mom's all the way to your right to the back. With the evidence ready, it was time to confront the psycho. But he had vanished like a ghost swallowed by the night. By dawn, fate gave officers a second shot. There was Floyd, darting through backyards, frantically digging through the dirt. Fully aware of his mental state, the officers didn't come alone. >> Come over. You're going to get dog bit. Come over here. YOU'RE GOING TO GET DOG bit out. Come over the fence. Come over the fence. Come or you're going to get dog back. >> We're not coming. You got over come back over. Come over. Come over. You're going to get dog. Come over. You're going to get dog. I'm giving you command. Come over here. You're going to get dog. Sheriff's office. You see your office? Come over. You're going to show us where your back is down. I don't know where you are. >> I don't know where you belong. Show me your bag. down. Hey, where's >> No, no, no. Let's go. For reasons only his twisted mind could justify, Floyd decided to play games with the officers, testing their patience like a fool dancing on a livewire. Then, in a flash of reckless bravado, he made a decision he would come to regret for the rest of his life. >> Wait, wait, wait. Hold him. DYLAN, get the ground. How many [ __ ] hands? I kiss you. >> I kiss you. >> I got my hand. >> Oh, my head. My head. >> The other arm. >> ARM. GIVE ME YOUR OTHER ARM. >> GIVE ME YOUR OTHER ARM. Give me the other arm. >> All right. I'll get it. Ducky. Ducky. Ah! What did I do? What did I do? What did I do? What did I do? >> My head. I can't see. >> I can't see. I can't see. >> On this side. I can't see. I can't see. I don't have anything. What did I do? What did I do? >> I don't have anything. Sit. Why? Sure. >> I don't sit up. >> What did I do? >> Bottom knee legged. Bottom leg. >> Let's go. >> Your butt. >> Oh god. Oh my god. What did I do? >> Someone call us. >> Oh my god. >> Someone just hit you. >> What did I do? I can't see. Can't see. Oh my god. Oh god. >> If we have an available unit, I catch you back on. It really looked like a zero cop coming into the shed. I don't know if there was his or just the owner left there or what? >> I can't see. >> Check it out. >> Can someone please put my dick in my pants for God's sake? Go aside. We need gloves. Oh my god. What the [ __ ] is going on? You guys >> told you to stop. Who? >> Sheriff's office and you said no. We took off and now look at you. >> I don't know who you guys are. I think people were trying to kill me. >> What's on my head? >> I'm fine, guys. I'm worried about hanging out. >> Look at my face, bro. >> Look at my face. You see it? We got the EMS coming. EMS. Thank you. >> Wow. Take that. So I take that blood out here. Take the blood out of here. >> Oh yeah, I smoke. We obviously for obvious reasons. >> For obvious reasons. >> What the [ __ ] did I do? >> Double lock his uh cuffs. >> Can you guys tell me what I did? Why? >> We're going to get to that in a second. Excuse me. Calm down. We're going to get that in a second. Blue motor tag. this off. >> No, I got hand sanitizer. My hands are dirty. So, I just put my pants. >> Yeah. In a minute. >> There is no pants there to put it in. >> Oh, yeah. No more pants. >> What? >> They got torn up >> by who? >> I don't know. You're running. >> You don't know. I was running. You guys got fans. Are you filming this? over the fence the ship that he was making circles around. So, uh we needed that fence. Otherwise, if it's if you can't head over the trail in the northwest corner back, >> we got EMS coming down. >> I can't tell they yet. >> Where? >> They're coming. >> Where? >> From their station. I don't know. If you would have stopped and hopped the fence, we wouldn't be >> who you are. [ __ ] introduced yourself. Hey, I'm the sheriff Floyd. Stop. I'm Floyd Roberts Jr. None of you [ __ ] said that. >> You just said, "Hey, I'm the sheriff." Stop. When I saw him moving around, he didn't seem to move towards it specifically. He just kept making those circles. I don't know if he is or not. >> He had fancied himself psychotic enough to outrun both the cops and their canine, but he just learned the hard way never to mess around with police dogs. having that's [ __ ] Don't worry about it. I got an attorney for y'all, too. I can't wait. This is good. I've been waiting on this day. I've been waiting on this day. You [ __ ] whoop my ass for no reason. I hope you got cameras. reach out and let you know whatever >> this had a cup of coffee get air gun. >> Yeah, it's an air gun. >> [ __ ] me, man. My mom's a nurse. She can take care of This is insane. Holy [ __ ] I got >> the >> We can transport him if you want him to or you can take them or you can take them yourself. He doesn't need to go over there. Honestly, we don't have anything that that reason why we need to transport them. So, if you want to, you can. Yeah, we can. >> Okay. >> If you if you don't need he needs anyway, so we're going to take him too. >> Okay, that's fine. I think he just needs info on him and then I think >> Okay, cool. And then I think Does he have to sign a release? >> I got my attorney for y'all sign or whatever. >> Don't worry, Mr. Harris. I'm coming for your [ __ ] ass, buddy. >> Did you fight me or shoot me, [ __ ] >> We're going to drive him to Good. Appreciate it. I mean, >> yeah, if you guys don't want >> [ __ ] identify yourself, [ __ ] I've been shot at, stabbed, all kind of [ __ ] [ __ ] You understand? >> Okay. [ __ ] >> I don't want to stay with me. Put your hands behind your back. >> We're not taking the dog off until you put your hands behind your back. >> Y'all are hurting me on purpose. >> Matt, nobody's hurting you on purpose. Okay. >> Yes, you are. >> On February the 3rd, 2024 in Fall River, Wisconsin. A routine patrol took a sharp turn when a deputy spotted a vehicle with an equipment violation and initiated a traffic stop. The moment the deputy approached, the driver, 40-year-old Matthew, made it clear that he wasn't there to cooperate. Although it seemed like a brave decision, it was a bad one, considering that there was going to be a well-trained K-9 in the mix. >> Good. How are you? >> Your vehicle sounded really loud when it went by. >> I have no idea. >> Okay. I told you what it was. >> Any reason that you can't just talk to me? I'm not going to open your door cuz I'm telling you when you went driving by it sounded like your vehicle was rattling and it was loud. >> Can you just talk with me and I can get you on your way? >> What's What's the issue? >> And I'm telling you because your vehicle was rattling, it sounded like there was a defective exhaust system. >> Okay. I can hear it literally rattling right now. >> Where did your ID fall? Can you grab it, please? Vehicle's moving. 33 42 to 57. Can you head out here and roll down the windows? >> Just just same last name, first name, Matthew, comment spelling. >> Can I just talk? Can you just Can you just crack the window a little bit? >> Have you had exhaust issues? >> No. >> Okay. Well, I just happened to notice when I was driving by, you went driving by and your vehicle was loud. Well, there's some type of rattling it sounds like over in here. And then there's obviously your engine. Can I just ask why you don't want to roll the window down? I'm sorry. I can't hear you. You have a copy of your insurance. Deputy proc now number 3342. I'm recording you as well, sir. >> Just one second. Okay. His stubborn refusal to roll down his window or step out of the car sent red flags flying high. The deputies, sensing that something was off, decided to call in the K9 [music] for a free air sniff. And that was the beginning of Matthew's undoing. Check. >> Hey, how far do you want me to push this guy that's just not rolling down the window? I know what that is. Go. Come check right here. Come check. Here. >> The K9 gave a positive alert, instantly granting the deputies [snorts] probable cause to search the vehicle. Meanwhile, as the dog worked its magic, dispatch confirmed another bombshell. Matthew was on probation, bound by conditions to stay sober and steer clear of any controlled substances. With the evidence stacked up against him, it was time to get him out of the vehicle. A task that was proving to be easier said than done. >> 3357 positive came out of loop. >> Is there anything illegal in the vehicle? >> Okay, I understand that. But I have we have to do our job, sir. Do you truly is there anything illegal? >> Okay. All right. Well, then can you step out of the vehicle for me? Look, I don't want to break a window and force you out or anything, sir. >> What's his first name? >> Matthew, right? >> Matthew. >> Hello, Matthew. Deputy master, do you mind stepping out and talking to us? >> Exhaust is rattling. >> Well, you're going to have to step out at some point, okay? We're giving you a lawful order to step out. Otherwise, you're going to be placed Okay. Okay. Here's the deal. So, the dog alerted to the car. So, we're going to search the vehicle. Okay, sir. Listen for 2 seconds. Okay. So, the dog alerted to the car. If there's nothing in the car, >> 3325, can we have either Columbus or Florida? >> And if there's nothing in there, you'll be on your way. But if you refuse to get out of the car, we're just going to place you under arrest and you're going to go to jail whether or not there's anything in the car. Okay? So, we're giving you a lawful order to step out of the vehicle. Okay? You're going to end up going to jail if you're not going to cooperate. Okay, Matthew. Then step out. Your window is going to get smashed and you're going to be pulled out of the car and you're going to go to jail. Get out of the car. >> Affirm. We have one on the back right there. >> Matthew. Matthew, your window is going to get broken and we are going to pull you out. I'm not asking you again. This is a lawful order. Get out of the car. Otherwise, you're getting placed under arrest. Last option. Not giving you any more options. You're going to go straight to jail and your car is getting towed. So, step out of the vehicle. >> Okay. Well, step out of the car. We've given you plenty of chances. Okay. The supervisor is monitoring the situation. >> I asked your supervisor. I want you to find >> Matthew. We're just asking for your cooperation. Well, you're not entitled to that right now. Okay. We're >> Matthew, can I step out of the car? >> Can I explain something quick? It's going to get searched. Okay. If there's nothing in here, you literally get released and you go on your way with a warning and then we just all go our separate ways. If you don't get out, then you're going to have to go to jail for obstructing. >> I got 961 in plain view, too. So, back seat floor. They both have labels on them. >> Just >> Okay. Can you hear the exhaust rattling in the back? >> Oh, yeah. I can hear it from here. >> As the deputies moved in to puncture his windows, he made a desperate and split-second move. One that would definitely exacerbate the situation. >> Window punch. Last option to step out of the car. Okay. >> I already tried them. to supervis 57. Vehicle taking off 1080. >> Vehicle taking off 1080. >> As a chase hit full throttle, Matthew lost control and crashed off the road. But instead of surrendering, he made yet another dumb decision. This time, this move was an invitation to the most unforgiving pursuit of all. The relentless jaws of a canine hot on his trail. 357 foot bail. >> Stop running. You got to release dog. Get on the ground. You're under arrest. Take off. Still, get on the ground. STILL, STOP FIGHTING. LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS. >> LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS. LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS. HE'S GOT A KNIFE. He's got a knife. >> LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS. >> I GOT my hands down. >> Put your arms out like an airplane. I got my hands off. >> Put your arms out like an airplane. Lay on your stomach. Do it now. >> Lay on your stomach. I'm not taking the dog off. Put your hands behind your back. >> Get the dog off. I can't. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> We're not taking the dog off until you put your hands behind your back. >> I'm the dog. Good boy. Ro, give me the arm. I got two on you, sir. Just you got to just cooperate with me a little bit here. >> 3357. We're 1085. >> Cooperating cooperating. I'm not fighting you. >> I know, but I'm going to get him secured. >> Kuddle. Sir, what is all hurting besides the canine bite? Are you okay besides the dog bite? >> No. >> What is hurting? >> My legs. >> Okay. What happened to your legs? Roll over to your right side. You able to sit up. Come on, boy. >> Where's my glasses? >> Where are your glasses? I don't know where your glasses are, sir. Did you lose them? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Where the dog? >> You lost them with the dog. Okay. >> I think they're right there. >> Where at? >> I don't know. >> I don't see them. I'm looking for them and I don't see them, sir. Okay. >> Well, I'm just killing me, man. >> You want to sit up and start walking back to the squad cars? >> That'd be fine. Let me not pick up that house. >> You got to try and help you up somehow. >> Did you search his pants? >> I haven't done anything yet. What do you got in your pants? >> I don't know. Looked like he was throwing stuff as he was moving. So, we'll have to go back and check. >> Be honest, man. This all would have been taken care of with just a ticket. >> Look at my glasses real quick. Seriously, I We'll come back and look for them. >> See them? Can we just look for a minute? >> Honestly, I don't even recall what they look like. >> We need to get our swabs out of the road. So, we'll come look for them in a minute. This was your >> Give me a second to look. >> No. Come on. >> Finally, Matthew got his long awaited dance with the canine, and it was a performance he wouldn't forget in a long while. In a matter of seconds, his arrogance turned into agony. And he learned firsthand what it really means to tangle with a police dog. >> Is this pocket >> on the outside? No. On the outside. The outside of the code. >> Nothing else on you, sir. No weapons? >> No. No weapons. >> No other narcotics of any sort. >> No. What's going to happen to my car? >> It's going to get towed. >> My wife's car. >> EMS is on the way to check it out. >> Have a seat. Watch your head. Right arm. Right. >> Left. >> Left arm. Left arm. >> Left arm. >> We'll hold off on the seat belt. So, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. >> You have the right. I'm just >> [ __ ] hear you. >> Anything you say can be used against you in court. You understand those rights? >> Yeah. >> You want to answer some questions I have? >> We'll see. Maybe. >> Is that a You'll answer them if you feel like it. Otherwise, you're not going to. >> Yep. >> Okay. Why'd you run? >> I was scared. >> Scared of what? >> Scared of you guys. >> I was nothing but >> every time I get pulled over, I get >> Dude, I was nothing but nice and clean. Every time I get pulled over, you guys, last time I was pulled over, I was given nine felonies, 12 misdemeanor, and I got off on all of them except for two, which was bull because I didn't do anything. Last time I got arrested, they charged me with a DUI. I beat the breathalyzer, I beat the road test, and I beat the blood test. They didn't drop the charges for 2 and 1/2 years. >> Okay. So, moral of the story is just based on your past, you were scared, and that's why you decided to run. >> Yeah. >> Okay. What are in the vehicle? >> Just >> how much? >> I don't know. You got most of it. >> Okay. >> Good. Yeah, we're good. Wouldn't roll his windows down on a traffic stop and told him we were going to break the window if he didn't roll it down and get out because we already had PC to search the car for a positive K9 alert and he just took off. >> Any other? >> No. >> Okay. When's the last time you smoked? >> I don't know, 10 minutes before you guys pulled me over. >> Do you feel high right now? >> No. >> Do you feel like the using maybe impaired your decision-m right there? >> Probably. >> Probably did. I appreciate your honesty. >> We already had spikes under the tires, so he lost his rear tire right away, but was still doing over 90. They took off running through this field. We found some drug parah >> in a little bit. You going to be willing to do field sobriety testing? >> Sure, but not with these handcuffs on. I can't even walk with these handcuffs on, man. >> No, no, I completely understand that. Probably not going to do much of the other test. >> My arm is killing the out of me, man. >> Sit back. >> I'm not going anywhere. >> I know. I'm just going to close the door again. >> In the field, we're going to have to walk it again and see if he threw anything else. But all right, EMS is on the way for a dog bite. With Matthew in custody, the officers turned their attention to his vehicle, and that was where the truth came crawling out. A quick search uncovered exactly why he had tried to elude >> the trunk. He's got all sorts of product in the trunk like >> Nobody's hurting you. We're not touching you. >> You're hurting me when you push me up in the car. >> Okay. Well, we don't want you to fall out and hit your head. Did you eat a bunch of stuff before you bailed? >> No. >> Can you stick your tongue out for me? Open your mouth under your tongue. Can you open your eyes and look at me for a second? Can you open your eyes for me? >> So, he said he's going to pass out. He has a dog bite to his left arm. He's been using some type of as well. We're not 100% sure on what, but All right, Matthew. I'm going to have you hop out. We're going to walk over to the cot. Okay, one step at a time. Take it easy. >> I'm just being honest. Please don't put the dog on me. I'm not doing anything. >> He's locked up. >> Pass out. >> Yep. We're almost to the back. >> Almost there. >> You're fine. You're good. >> Matt, stand back. >> Come on. You can do it. >> You going to be cooperative if we take the cuffs off? >> Yes, sir. I'm not going there. >> All right. >> Yep. I'm just taking it off. When all was said and done, Matthew was charged with operating while under the influence, vehicle fleeing and eluding an officer, possession with intent to distribute THC, resisting and obstructing an officer, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia. As dumb as Matthew was, he was nothing compared to the gangster [music] whose string of bad decisions got him a one-way ticket to encounter a canine. An experience he would never want to relive. >> GOOD BOY. START THAT MAN. START THAT MAN. START THAT MAN. OF IT. THE BALL START my dog off to get that. >> Okay. >> Okay. I'm sorry. He's bing my arm. >> Yeah, I know. You have a gun on you. >> I KNOW. I GOT I GOT CVS. OKAY. SORRY. >> OKAY. I'M GETTING THEM OFF. >> ON March the 17th, 2024 in Orlando, Florida, what began as a simple patrol escalated into a high octane chase. An officer trailed a vehicle into a gas station after spotting an expired temporary tag. Before he could even make contact, the driver hit the gas and sped off. Without hesitation, the officer issued a bolo alert. And moments later, word came through that the same suspect had circled back to the exact gas station. This time, the officer wasn't ready to let him slip away again. Still continuing southbound OBT from Silver Star and I missed six. >> The officer missed him again and the chase roared on. After nearly 10 minutes of high-speed madness, the driver's luck ran dry as he plowed straight into a tree. But instead of giving up, he made yet another not so brilliant move. It was a desperate gamble and one that he had soon come to regret. >> That one running westbound. Correction. Eastbound. Bravo Mike. White shorts, gray shirt. Over here. Over here. Here. Here. Make sure that's on. >> Watch your hand go. >> He picked the wrong opponent to mess with and found out real quick just how bad that decision was. But now it was too late. The canine had already taught him a painful lesson he'd never forget. And there was no turning back the hands of time. >> I don't even know why I did all that [ __ ] >> Yeah, that was stupid, wasn't it? >> Get your fingers out of your wrist. What do you want me to do? Uh, can you call the ambulance? What? I run away. >> His string of bad decisions had turned what could have been a simple traffic ticket into a full-blown felony. But after his runin with the canine, the lesson hit deeper than any bite. Humbled and sore, he had suddenly found his manners now more cooperative than he had ever been in his life. >> What's your date of birth? >> March 6th, 1998. Whose car is that? My girlfriend.
