On August 21st, 2024, police in Point Pleasant Beach responded to a seafood market after receiving reports of an intoxicated couple fighting and causing a disturbance. Officers immediately diverted from standard booking procedures to transport her to a nearby hospital for a psychiatric emergency screening service evaluation.
