officers responded to a disturbance call at the home of Judge Shirley Strickland saffold who was caring for her grandson however the caller was none other than her daughter Sydney saffold who had soon become the suspect in the case I how are you please your eyes can you cancel the M she on the phone say again can you cancel the MS well you're bleeding and you got scratches on I'm fine okay all right can you cancel that yeah hang tight where's your mom at thank you all what happened she hit me caught me got baby at for she didn't come into late I screamed at her about coming in late she got mad and okay all right did she hit you in your room your right eye I don't know is it I know he looks right ey could be like where'd she hit you at right here okay all right and then what happened after that then I stop her back all right um she's really intoxicated I know she is so you were babysitting your grandson mhm and I told her to be home on time okay and she went out and got drunk okay I popped her okay all right I did I got you an argument quickly escalated leading to Sydney punching her mother in the face in defense Shirley pushed her daughter to the ground and struck her back Sydney blamed her mother for the altercation but things were not going to be that simple we're going to go in talk with your mom uh there's one officer in there talking and I'm going to get a couple statements from you is that Mark across the top what happened you have a Mark here and you have a Mark here I haven't noticed them I'm not sure okay can you go over what happened he's just angry okay well I went to a fundraisers this evening and I came home and then she was angry okay what what you're inspired she was on the phone when I arrived mhm I don't know who she was on the phone left and out of a bar with a drink in hand when they tried to confront her for the open container violation she refused to cooperate setting off a chain of unexpected events please seriously I just want to go accusing him of cheating I know you're having a rough day we observe what happened and unfortunately you have to come us you're going to be placed under arrest for domestic P simple I am yes okay
