world but what happens when cops uncover truth that turns this belief on its head here is one case where cops uncover an unthinkable truth was the on March the 31st 2022 officers found themselves in a high-speed Pursuit that would push them to their limits what started as a routine custody dispute had escalated into a dangerous Chase with some really high stakes just when the officers thought they [Applause] water the victim's in the passenger side the suspect's vehicle had crashed into a retention Pond however as more officers arrived at the scene they were met with a realization a was trapped inside the submerged car hey take go in the midst of this chaotic scene they discovered Pamela Cabrera the suspect floating on a tire in the pond but his officers pulled her to safety they began to realize that the situation was far from a happy ending the little girl was nowhere to be found and there was no sign of her yet undeterred they continued their desperate efforts to locate and rescue series of unforeseen consequences Pamela's own words reveal the details of that faithful conversation 911 what's the location of your emergency I don't know the the exact address I think it's going be and spoke with her unaware that inquiry about visitation rights would soon reveal a web of deception okay so there's no court orders for any kind of custody orders or anything listed in Duvall County under your name or under her name so what does that mean it means that I don't if I don't have any paperwork there's nothing I can do anyway okay so and they're not even here so what is it you wanted me to do and they said that you guys can make that happen me have the court order well but they're not even here but you don't have a court order and if you do have it you don't have it here that I can see it so I can't pull it up in the system cuz it's not a Duvall court order so do you live in Lake City still no where do you live now I live here where in a shelter okay um so the paperwork that you do have for your court order is where is it at the shelter no the um the case manager has that the case manager is in Duvall no she's in Tampa she's in Tampa was the was the paperwork filed when to her visitation rights for her 5-year-old the and guardian were apparently not home the officer then left but it wasn't long until the police were called back she temporary all right let me talk to currently homeless the guardian later identified as Cabrera's sister explained that Pamela was only allowed supervised visits due to concerns about her mental health all right Pap work okay it's up to newborn and she sped off okay suspect so technically like cuz I was standing right there it was fine but she just put her on the car and sped off do you know if she had any weapons been drinking dur um I don't know if she had any weapons and I don't think she's on any but she is pregnant I don't know if that matters she's um I think like four months pregnant okay no where are we going to go where I don't know where she went I don't know anything she just took off okay got officers coming to you as fast as they can back at the crash site the officers began a frantic search for the and her mother racing against time to locate them none of them imagined that a woman who claimed to love her and wanted custody would end up causing such making the situation even more distressing to the
