And they were pushing me and he hit me and I hit him. They're pinning it on me because I'm the crazy one with mental issues. >> No. No. >> Don't Don't talk to me. Do not >> you let your husband me for 20 years. >> Not really. You can't do that. On April 23rd, 2024, officers responded to a residence following a report of a woman claiming she got into a heavy argument and physical fight after she made a joke about her grandmother's mental health. >> Sheriff's office. >> Hi. >> Hi. >> Hello, >> Deputy Franklin. >> How you guys doing? >> Not bad. >> What can we do for you? >> Uh, we got a call here about somebody arguing with Shondaanda. >> Right there. She stayed here. >> Okay. >> What's going on today? Oh, >> it's been an argument match, >> David. Between you and her name her and her and her and her and her brother and her and neighbor. >> Okay. >> Hello. >> Hi. >> Landa. >> Yes. >> Okay. Is there a bedroom back here or something? >> You mind if we talk in there? >> All right. Lashondaanda. I'm Deputy Franklin. Can you tell me what's going on? >> Um, so there was a fight. I thought my brother hit me, tripped over his feet. And then he got up and started yelling at me and tried to tack me over my phone. He went outside. I slammed the door, locked it so he couldn't come in. A whole big old fist fight between all of us happened. So I don't remember a whole bunch of it. I just went back in my stuff and I'm leaving. >> Were you hit? >> Yeah, I was in the face, but it wasn't, you know, I hit someone first. So self-defense. >> So who did you hit? >> You know, honestly, my dad, I think. I don't remember. Apparently I hit him, but he hit me. I hit him first, which was not what happened, but whatever. >> Okay. So, what do you mean by you hit him first, but not? >> Cuz they pushed I slammed the door shut and locked it and they got mad and they pushed me up against it and he came at me. So, I pushed him back and he hit me. So, I'm leaving. >> Okay. >> With my kids and I'm done. I'm not This is all done. I called. They don't want the cops called because my brother that's on parole lives here and he thinks he's going to go to jail. The reason I called was because I wanted to leave with my kids, not so anybody gets in trouble. So, but here he thinks I'm a [ __ ] So, >> you don't need any medical attention or anything. >> No, my face just hurts and I want to leave. I'm trying to get my stuff back. I do have mental illnesses and they try to use that [ __ ] against me while the cops are going to lick you up and you're [ __ ] crazy. Yeah, I know. I have to get my meds, too. So, >> what type of >> I'm bipolar. I have borderline personality disorder, I futility, and depression. I've been taking my meds. I'm sorry. >> Okay. >> I just want to leave. >> Okay. As far as your bipolar, is it one or two? >> Both. >> It's both. >> Yeah, I have both. >> So, you're kind of on this constant up and down. >> Yep. >> So, what's the arguments about? >> Because I live here and I take care of my grandma and just, you know, like >> doing stuff around the house basically. >> Okay. >> All right. So, what is going on tonight? >> Just start. Lean my daughter. She picks my mom. >> Okay. She has dementia. >> Okay. >> She called me earlier. There was a an argument yesterday with my son and her about sitting with her while my daughter took the kids to their sports thing. So, it kind of trickled over to today. >> Her and her brother were having to talk about it. She called me at work and I talked to her and I I just talked to her and told her, you know, just calm down. You know, if they're able to sit with grandma while you run the kids wherever so you don't have to take her, you know, that's fine, whatever. And then my husband and I ran to Wendy's and got some stuff for the kids to eat >> and got back and everything was fine. I got emotional with my mom, you know, that it's my birthday and that woman sitting in the chair doesn't even know that she gave birth to me and I walked outside and then I heard her start yelling and I started back in to find out what was going on and I I still don't know what was going on. She just was screaming and raising hell. I'm like, I'm not going to stand here and listen to this. So, I walked back outside. My husband followed me out and then I hear some beating on something. I don't know. So, I started back in. Her and my son were yelling, "Well, you pushed me and this and that when he was downstairs and he she must have been walking, you know, down the hall. You can't see through that door. So, if somebody's walking by and you open the door, you're going to hit him with it." Well, apparently that's the door that she was hitting on. And then he opened it to see what was going on. And when he opened it, she apparently flew back. >> Oh, okay. And then she she's on meds and all kinds of but I don't know. >> I'm not going to assume anything. But anyway, she just you pushed me and you this and you that and it just escalated from there with a bunch of hollering and screaming and whatnot. And then he walked outside my son. >> Yeah. >> And she slammed that door behind him and locked it. And I went over and went to unlock it to open it back up and he came up behind me and she swung around and hit him. And then I'm trying to, you know, get in the middle and got her away. Got the door open and she said she was calling the cops and the kids are upset and I that's it's just a big argument. It's just stupid. >> Yeah. >> You know, I I guess tempers or whatever from, you know, everybody trying to chip in to make sure she's taken care of and work and kids and school and sports and, you know, everybody's going a hund different ways. And >> so where is your son now? He left to take uh >> they were working. Yeah. Him and his buddy had been working on their car. >> Okay. >> And he had left, >> you know, it it calmed down and everything got quiet and he left to go take his buddy. He was been having issues all day with his car and they were over here working on it and >> Okay. >> I I don't know which direction they went in cuz I was in here with kids and trying to calm the kids down. >> Did she hit you? >> I guess she >> Where did she hit you at? >> Okay. >> Do you feel comfortable standing up and talking? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. you don't want to sit down and >> I don't mind. I don't care. I I was just trying to pack something. >> It It's really up to you because I know I can understand as far as this whole entire dynamic, everything that's happened. I'm pretty sure you're feeling pretty agitated, which I don't want you feeling like just cuz I'm here, I don't want you to feel that you need me that constant agitation. Okay? I just want this to go as calmly as we can. I definitely want to know what had happened because in the end my whole purpose here is just make sure that everything's peaceful. >> All I did I said something jokingly because of my mom's birthday. I said something jokingly that was said earlier to my dad about oh cuz my brother said I don't get paid to watch grandma but you do. So I my dad's like oh you watch grandma while I take mom's room. I was like yeah but you know I get paid for it so it's my job right? I was just joking with them. And then that turned into a big old thing. I came back here, laid down. I thought everything was fine. So, I ended up going to Wendy's to get the kids stuff or whatever. Come back. I lay down. I go back out to my mom's crying. I asked what happened. She said, my dad said everything that happened today. And I said, and then he got all pissed off and got up to go out the door and I said, "Whatever I said to you earlier was joking." And I was kind of >> his brother, correct? >> No, my dad. >> Your dad. Okay. >> And I said, "Whatever I said was." And I got mad with him and he was don't you yell. And I was like, I wasn't yelling. And I just raised my voice cuz he was walking outside. >> I just went through almost jump. >> So he got mad. I don't remember what it was. I got mad. Tyler opened the basement door. I hit the basement door and appared me but I tripped over his feet. >> Okay. >> And then he like literally came at me, call me a [ __ ] Didn't even know what happened just because I kind of like pushed him cuz he slung the door open and I was already mad. She started crying and then my mom was flying back here. She wouldn't even listen to anything I say. just she's, you know, thinking that I hit Tyler and all this stuff. And I admitted that I was in the wrong. I I said, "If you didn't hit me, then what? Why did I fall on the ground?" Cuz it felt like Yeah. >> So it felt like he pushed me cuz that's how mad I was cuz I found that the door and apparently I jumped over his feet. Fine. Okay. And then when he he call me crazy and a stupid [ __ ] and he tried to attack me here to get my phone cuz I was on the phone with 911 and that's why I kept hanging up cuz they were trying to grab my phone for me. They were trying to keep me because they didn't want me to call because of him. >> Okay. >> And he said he was going to take my phone and break it >> and just him being on Pearl and everything. >> Yeah. And then me and my mom got in a little fight right here. I went out there and Matt put my son door shut cuz he went outside and I was like cuz he thought let's take this outside. So I just saw the door shut locked it. So he wouldn't come in and then my mom got mad and went over there. My dad went by and they were pushing me and he hit me and I hit him and she hit I don't even know. But apparently I'm the one that attacked them. So that's my son's room. So I just want to leave and I want both my kids with me. That's all I want. She says my son doesn't want to go with me. >> So >> while you're packing things, I'm going to go talk with >> I got to take this out to my car. Ta. You want to carry your stuff? >> I'll help you if you need some help here. I can give you some light. >> So I just got my ID renewed. So here's the paper one. And then I have the I have the avoided one if you needed to. >> Okay, this should be fine. >> I got punched in the face and I punched back and then my mom So I don't know who punched who first. I just remember looking up and my dad was lunging at me. >> Mhm. >> So I don't know. They don't they don't think any of this is their fault. They they're pinning on me because I'm the crazy one with mental issues. >> Well, they didn't they didn't say anything like that that you're crazy or anything like that. Yeah. Oh, I'm surprised they didn't cuz that's usually what happens. >> So, when your brother, what did he do to you to attack you first? >> I got mad cuz my dad told me not to yell at him and he got mad at me. I have this issue with my stepdad. I don't want to tell you guys. >> It's okay. >> Last year, I came out and told my mom that he molested me for 20 years. Of course, they don't believe me cuz it's already So, every time I get mad, tell him I'm going to send you a message because there's no evidence I can't do. I still live here because I have no place to go. So that starts. So I got mad because this time I can't remember. I said I said I don't ever want to see you. I said you know what you did to me and you sit here and trot like you're hot [ __ ] You know what you did for 15 20 years. I got mad and I came by the basement door. Tyler's downstairs. He didn't know anything was going on. He opened that door and I just went like this. >> Got mad and I thought he pushed me. >> Yeah. >> I tripped over his feet and then he got mad at me and I thought >> Yeah. >> Yeah. And I thought he pushed me. And my mom comes and she's yelling at me and I'm like, he [ __ ] pushed me. And I thought and so my daughter's crying because she seen me fall. I was beat in a three-year relationship. >> I've been single for 2 years. So she seen me already being um Yeah. So that's what technically really started it. And then it just >> spiral. >> Oh yeah. Oh yeah. My face is on fire cuz I know I got hit right here. I can I can feel it. probably whatever I fell into when my brother tried to take my phone from me, which >> Yeah, >> I understand. He don't want to go back to prison or anything. I understand that. >> Yeah. >> Your son exited the home. >> Yeah. And then she proceeded by slamming the door >> and locking it. >> I stepped in to unlock it >> and then when I stepped over to unlock it, she went back to that the corner and then he came cuz she was grabbing at me. She was so he came to pull me back I assumed and then she reached around and that's when she hit him and then I just kind of was grabbing everything, you know, and um got her moved over here to the chair and then he stepped back in here. >> I don't want anybody to go to jail over this. I don't want her to go to jail by no means. It's not what she means. >> So here's the thing that we're standing at right now >> is that based on state in New Mexico, she will end up going to jail. So what? >> We don't want to pray. >> Right now it's battery on a household member, >> right? >> And we don't want that. >> But the thing about all this is that by the state of New Mexico, it's zero tolerance for domestic violence. >> So she is going to have to go to jail. >> No. >> On this. Now, that's not to say that just cuz I'm taking her to jail, that doesn't mean that she's going to be charged with it. Okay? Whenever things like this happens, we have to take action. We're mandated by the state to take action on this >> and that involves taking somebody to jail. Now, as far as once the jail time's over and everything, if you by all means if you're not wanting the charges to be followed through, you can always contact the assistant district. >> Maybe that story. I was the one that >> No, honey. We're not We're not doing that. >> She told No, that's >> I don't Nobody needs to go to jail. Well, somebody's going >> ridiculous. >> It's >> It's not It's I get it. Believe me, I live through domestic violence, so it that >> Let me go outside, make some phone calls really quick. Okay. >> I don't want anybody I don't know what she wants. >> It sounds like I don't think all she wants to do is leave, >> right? >> And that's why that's why we were telling her like I I was told the I'm sorry, I don't remember her name. The lady officer, you know, I don't know if she's on her meds, off her meds. She's been up to the behavioral health. >> Yeah. She was telling me that she thought this swim bipolar went into >> a couple times. She's been up there. >> Okay. >> And I, you know, she gets all I rate and then, you know, we tried to get the kids >> and I told her, you know, you I don't I don't even want her driving like that, let alone driving with the kids. >> Let me step outside really quick and then I'll come back and and we'll kind of discuss a little bit more. Okay. >> I just want to leave. I want both my kids and I want to leave and I don't want to come back and I'm trying to. >> Is your son the one in the bedroom? And my mom says he doesn't want to go, which is fine cuz I could come back and get him, but I don't want to have to come back. It's just dumb [ __ ] It's been happening since last year. Ever since I said what I told you, all that. >> Yeah, I like this bed. This is neat. >> Yeah, it's like a bunk bed almost. >> Yeah, that's awesome. >> Under it. >> That's awesome. So, speaking with my sergeant, um, unfortunately, we're going we're going to have to take her for the night and I can I can see where you guys are coming from as far as not wanting anybody arrested and even the fact of you going to the extent of saying that wanting to recant the statements. It's just as of right now, we do have probable cause on that charge and with, like I said, with the state of Mexico being zero tolerance, we have to take the action on it. I apologize. It's just right now in my position my hands are tied as far as this goes. >> Can I tell you something? She lives hospital. >> Was that she needs to go to the hospital more than she needs to go to jail? She's on a desk. She's she's been there. >> Are you talking regards to the behavioral health? >> Just the behavioral health mental staff. >> Okay. So, at the jail, they do have a whole clinic as far as inmates and needing like medical attention, whether it is behavioral health related or if it's physical related. So, that is something >> based on all of the facts and everything, you're going to be going to jail tonight. Okay. >> For what? >> For hitting hitting your stepdad. So, >> you hit me, too. >> Well, I need you to put your hands behind your back. Okay. >> No, I'm not. Can I at least say bye to my kids? I'll I'll let you say goodbye to your >> No, that's [ __ ] He hit me, too. >> I'm sorry. This is This is >> No, I know. >> Don't Don't do Stop. >> Stop. Stop. Stop. I do not. Stop. >> I just Why are you running away? >> No. Stop. >> No. Stop. Don't you calm down for a second, please. >> I'll let you calm down. Stand right here, though. >> Why me? Really? He molested for 20 [ __ ] years and he gets all three. Really? You're stupid [ __ ] bastard. >> Not going to talk like that. Okay. >> No. Me. Hold on. Okay. Just let me get this out. I'm not trying to yell. We don't need to yell. >> Oh, I do need to yell. >> Yes, I do. >> No. Can you walk me to my kids, please? Just so I can give them a hug. >> No. >> Please. I will stay here. Will you just let me hug my kids? >> Listen to me. >> Please listen to me. Taylor, you need to go inside, baby. Come here. >> No. >> Give me a hug. You're okay. Come here. >> You're okay. Come here. Just cuz he's >> Okay, that's fine. >> Please. It's okay. >> Okay. And he's not going to jail for hitting me. >> I'm not going to We're not going to talk about this right now. >> No. Like, go, Tayen. Please. >> It's okay. Can I walk to the door so I can put her back in? Please. Please. You guys can walk behind me. Please. Let me tell you something. >> You were you just try to run from me and I charge you for additional >> No, no, no. Please don't. Let me just walk her to the door, please. >> Just let her walk so we can talk because I really don't want her in front of her. Please, I do not want >> I don't I just want to walk her to the door. I won't go in. Just to the door, please. >> We've already told you no three times. >> Can you just try to run from me? And that's that you that's an additional charge. You just try to run away from me after you've been giving them off. And >> it's okay. No, >> you have you have to go inside. >> No. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> No. >> Hey, you have to. They won't. They won't let you. >> No. >> Hey. Hey. Let them walk you inside. Please. >> No. Please. >> You. >> Please. Hey. I love you. It's okay. >> I can't. >> You're okay. I Please. Just let me. Please. Please. I beg you. I won't run. I won't do anything. I'll go with you guys. Just let me walk her to the door. >> How do I know that if I You're not going to >> No, I'm not. I'm not. I promise. Just you guys can walk behind me. Just let me walk her to my mom. Don't want separation. >> No. No. I I will open the screen door and let her go in. >> How do I know that? I can't I can't trust you because you just tried to run. >> I won't run. I promise. >> Okay. Well, I'm going to wait for my backup. >> Okay. It's okay, baby. I will walk you. >> I will walk her. >> But stop, Kaitlyn. She's got really bad separation anxiety, too. And I I can see that. >> Come here. You guys can hug it out on the wheel. >> Hey. Hey. Look at me. Mom's going to go and it'll be okay. I promise. >> Hey, you have to stop. >> Yes. You got to stop and you have to be bigger. Okay. I'm sorry that that this happened. Okay. >> Do you really? >> I really have to. Okay. >> No. I don't want you to go. >> I have to. >> No. It's just a daughter and a little boy as well. >> Boy and a girl and they're okay here. >> 5 years. He's been here for 5 years. >> Okay. So, let me go and give you my card with the case number on it >> and I can call them >> and then you can call the district attorney. >> I don't know how this works. >> She'll go poor judge. Judge will tell her these are the charges and this is what we're going to be doing. And then she'll get another court date. That's when the pre-trial and things good. Um, do you mind coming out and getting the granddaughter? I guess she snuck out, so >> Oh, I have to. If you give me a minute, I'll walk you to the door. Okay. >> Grandma Grandma's going to come out here so she can help you. Okay. >> I love my mom. >> I I'm your mom, but right now I need to talk to your mom. Okay. >> This is [ __ ] >> I get hit and I go to jail. >> Okay. >> No, don't talk to I'm done. Okay, you guys can take me. You guys can take me, but I'm not saying anything. >> That That's fine. And >> I'm not listening either. >> You have every right not to say anything. >> No, Mom. Don't [ __ ] talk to me. Do not you let your husband molest me for 20 [ __ ] years, which you don't believe. But yeah, I'll go to jail because I hit him, but he hit me. >> No, no. I have any >> Can I make this worse on your daughter? Okay. >> Will you please take I'm fine. >> Let your daughter go with her. >> Hey, stop. It's okay. >> Hey, it's okay. Call the DA in the morning and we don't let no charge. Right. >> He's giving me the information. Don't say anything. I don't want to press any charges. >> Don't go to your grandma. Okay. >> I don't have >> I'm not I'm going for one night. Okay. Okay. >> I can't leave. >> You're going to be with brother. Okay. >> No, but I didn't leave. >> Yes, you can. You can do this. Stop you. Come on. >> Come on. >> Stay with you. >> You can't go where I'm going. >> All right, Londa. Let's just go and let her go. Okay. I don't want to be more traumatizing on her. I'll walk her over there to your mother. Okay. >> I'm going to walk her I'm going walk you to Nie, but you have to go. Okay. >> Yes. It'll be fine. And you have to go when we go get mama. >> I love you. You love me, big girl, though. Okay. Okay. [Music] >> We'll see her tomorrow. Okay. >> Grandma. >> All right. We'll see her tomorrow. >> I'm going to get not going to jail >> from the officer. Okay. >> Let's walk this way. >> All right. >> Can you give me a minute? >> Yeah. So, let's walk this way cuz I don't want your daughter to see. So, all right. Put your hands behind your back. >> No. Put your arm behind your back. >> It's going to be fine. >> No, she's not. Okay, let go. Let go. And I will. I promise. I just go ahead. >> Put your hands behind your back now. >> Put your hands behind the back. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. >> You're going to do what we say. You don't make the rules. Stop. Stop. Will you wake up? >> Turn around. >> Hey, please. Please turn around. >> Please. I will turn around. I will. Please. >> Do it right now. >> Please. I know. I know it's scary. Okay, I I I I can see how this is bothering you. I can tell that you want to deal with your mom, but right now, the way that she's acting, we can't have you with her, okay? We need you in a very, very safe place, but she's inside. >> And listen, you can >> listen, she'll she'll be fine. I'm going to take good care of her, okay? I promise you I will take good care of you. >> It's part of our job. Okay. >> You already said it. >> We're going to have to go inside. Okay. >> It's all right. Mommy will be back. She'll be back. Okay. >> You can't do that. You can't do that. >> Please. Hey, stop. >> Put your hands in front of her. >> Okay. I'm not restraining. Stop. Please be honest. >> Yes, you are. You're going to get additional charges now. >> No, I I promise. I I was just going to say, okay, I will. Don't stay. >> Stay right there. >> You're not going to tell me what to do. >> I was just moving her closer to your eyes. That's all good. >> Okay. Promise. >> Hey, wait. It's okay. That's all. >> Okay. If I pick her up. >> Yeah. >> It's okay. It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you. Okay, let's just go inside. >> Okay, >> listen. It's going to be okay, Taylor. Okay, >> I really want your mommy. I know. Just take some deep breaths, okay? Your mommy's going to be taken care of and she's going to be in a safe place, okay? I promise. >> Come here, Pig. Blanky. All right, let me go check on them and I'll be back with the card. Okay. >> Hey, please don't hang on to me. I will walk. I promise. >> Okay. I'm I have to by policy. Hold your arm. >> I'm sorry to. Okay. I'm not just disrespectful. Okay. I You have manners. >> Well, I I >> Can you just give me a minute to cry for a second? I'm not having a good time. Need it just for a second. I'm not trying to run around trying to you guys. I'm sorry. >> Just take a breath. >> I'm bipolar women, too. So it's like and I've been through domestic violence and grandma arm. I'm so sorry. I'm usually very well mannered. I'm Michael and Joe. Are you going to be taken to the mental hospital? Cuz I don't know which when I need more to tell you the truth. And I'm very sorry for disrespecting you. I I'm not promise you I'm not. >> I think you're I don't think you're a bad person, Londa. >> I'm not I'm not I don't get in trouble. I I went to jail for missing years ago. like I don't get trouble and I am sorry if people suspect me sir for reals I'm honest I'm not >> I appreciate it but apologizing doesn't take back the fact that >> I know it's so diff and you thought that you can control the scene but that's not helping okay whenever we feel weaker for each person perfect and our purpose is to do a jump >> and I made it harder and I'm sorry >> I should know this [Music] I get mad over here. I already I can't give her a hug or nothing. Not right now. Just give me a hug. >> I'll just go right down here. I'll explain it to you. Okay. >> Of course. >> Okay. >> I love you. Well, tomorrow you'll see a drug. We'll come get you out. All right. >> I love you. >> Love you, too. >> I'm not trying to get out. I'm not trying. I promise. You >> want me to help you? >> I'm not trying to get out. Okay. Do you want me to grab your phone >> or you >> It's in my car, but you can just read it. >> Okay. >> Just I can't do anything. There's no point. >> I'm not kidding. >> I mean, there was a whole chaotic scene that happened here. Okay. >> Just me and that's part of them. You know what I mean? >> Yeah. And I can I can understand that you want to give her a hug and everything, but we've already had an altercation with her out here. Okay. She's already been riled up to the point to where she wasn't cooperative with us. So, the only reason I'm I'm not allowing you to give a hug is because I don't want to her to ramp up more. Okay. >> I I understand that. >> And I've already talked to your parents and explained to them that just because she's going to jail tonight doesn't mean that the charges are going to go through. Mom is always able to just go ahead and dismiss it, which it sounds like you already know that as well. >> Yeah. Yeah. I've been Yeah. You got a lot. >> All right, ma'am. So, here's my card. >> It has the case number on there as well. Okay. Okay. >> Um, like I said, if that's what you guys are your intentions are going to be, which it sounds like it is, >> just go ahead and call the district attorney's office and then you can give them that case number and then nobody will speak with you on it. Okay. >> Okay. >> Did you see laughing gas? >> I said no. I saw a laugh and dance. >> Oh, >> I got to Okay. I'm short. So, >> get it. >> I'm good. Okay. >> Except this one's a little too tight. >> This one right here. Okay. So, I can actually get my finger through there. So, that's actually >> Okay. So, maybe let's just go with the It's usually whenever the way you sit. >> I had it like this on that little hump back there cuz >> that a lot of people make the mistake of is they kind of they want that room so they can roll their wrists and then they do kind of tiny. >> Yeah.
