She threw a fan at me. I shielded myself, and when the fan came down, it hit her 1-year-old son in the forehead. She went up to my son and just started hitting him on the side of the head hard as I was like, "You're not going to hit my son." >> He does what HE WANTS. HE SIT UP ON HIS BED. Just He on his bed. My son had gotten her face to ask for another banana, and she shoved him over. His head hit the glass table. >> So, how many kids total? >> She has eight kids. >> On April 19th, 2024, officers responded to a domestic disturbance at an apartment involving a married couple after an argument escalated into a physical altercation. The dispute reportedly began over disagreements about disciplining a 3-year-old child for bed-wetting, which then turned violent when one of the women allegedly shoved a child and later threw a fan during the confrontation, resulting in a 1-year-old being struck in the head. >> You guys can come in. >> Is this the gash that you're talking about? I mean, it's not even bleeding. Looks like a scratch, like an ugly scratch, but a scratch. All right, so what happened this morning? >> Uh my wife's son is completely out of control, so we >> Who's he? >> He's a 3-year-old. >> Which one? >> Uh she take him? >> Yeah, she took him with her. >> Okay. >> He's like to the point he does what he wants. HE SIT UP ON HIS BED. Just He on his bed and everything. Also, it gets me and her arguing because when my kids pee the bed, they instantly get a butt-whooping. They have to sit in their urinated bedsheets cuz she doesn't want to go do laundry with me or anything cuz I don't have a license, so she's the driver. >> Okay. >> So, I can't go to the laundromat for my kids, and she refuses to do it when they urinate on their bedclothes. So, they pretty much sleep in pissy bedclothes. But then today we was going to do laundry, and I said, "We might as well wait to do a load of laundry just like you say for my kids all the time because he's just going to keep peeing on it so because he's not He's just doing what he wants at this point." And she's like, "No, I'm not doing that. I'm not doing that." And I said, "Well, it's only fair you you do it for my kids. I don't like the >> And she got into a Then then what happened? >> I went to the bathroom to get out more laundry. My son had gotten her face [laughter] to ask for another banana and she shoved him over his head. >> Wait, wait, wait. Got in her face? >> Yeah, like he was like, "Could I have a banana?" >> How old is which one? >> That one. >> Okay, so he went up and asked her for a banana. I DON'T >> YEAH, and she instantly shoved him over. His head hit the glass table. >> Did he get injured? >> I didn't see nothing. I'm not 100% sure. >> So she pushed him back and he hit his head. >> Yeah, but she was full on aggressively. Boom, get out of my face now. I told you that. That's exactly what she told him. And then I came out because of course I'm going to defend myself. >> Yes. >> Like that was uncalled for. We're arguing about her son and you're choosing to enter my space. So then I had came out and I told her, "Don't put hands on my kids. We won't even put hands on yours when they're out of control." And she got up and she said, "Stay out of my face." Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. >> To you? >> Yeah, clearly I wasn't in her face. She was sitting down and I was standing up. >> What What's his name? So Jakarius is gets pushed down, he hits the table. Did he cry? Did he say anything? >> He was screaming as loud as possible. >> Okay. And those So then you come out and you're like, "Hey, don't touch him." Then she tells you get out of her face. >> Yeah, she got up, grabbed the fan, chucked it at me. Our son was next to me. It had bounced off me, >> So the fan grazed off you and hit him in the head. >> Yeah. >> Then what happened? >> I had pushed her at that point because it injured my one-year-old. And she had grabbed something and threw it at me. >> Okay, the bottle of something she threw them at you? >> Yeah, bruised my forehead instantly. >> And then she kicked you? >> It bounced off after it hit me, it like smacked him in the head right after. >> Okay, corporal. Made physical contact, right? DHS. >> Oh my god, my [ __ ] kids are going to end up being taken. Yeah. >> So the one-year-old over here has a little scratch on the forehead. She said that he got pushed into a this table and this is the fan, I assume. Yeah. So they just want to go over the concerns and any treatment options with you. And she said your daughter taking >> her somewhere? >> I don't know where she wants to >> Did you want a protection order? >> No, I just want it on document, just in case I do need a a protection >> Okay. >> No, it was it was fine. I can tell the police after like her child is doing awful stuff. Like he even had made an allegation one time of his grandpa touching him, and I called the police and everything. You think I'm going to find out his grandpa never touched him. He only said that to get his way. >> I noticed that son. >> Three, and he does he knows what he's doing, and he just keeps doing it and doing it. >> Time out. I'm just going to interrupt you here, cuz I have a three-year-old at home. They aren't that smart. I'm just going to be honest with you, and I'm not going to argue with you. >> to the doctors and everything. >> Okay, ma'am. I'm not What I'm saying, and beyond that, you said that he intentionally pisses the bed, he intentionally Those are things my three-year-old could not intentionally do any of that. He could maybe not care as much as you do about it, but it's a lot of him sleep pissing in his in in sleep. One, he should be wearing a diaper, I'm assuming. >> Well, no, he's fully potty trained. >> No, he's fully potty trained. My son is, too, but he still pisses in his sleep. There are cases of kids pissing the bed till they're 10, 11 years old, because they sleep so deep. I'm not going to keep wasting my breath. I'm going to get out of here. I'm going to go file warrants for domestic assault simple, and also criminal, or excuse me, child endangerment. Those warrants will be pushed through today, and will likely be active and in the system, if not today, tomorrow morning. If she's here, and you know she's here, and you know she's wanted, you're obligated to call and let us know she's here. So, I would suggest you tell her to turn herself in, cuz she can get you in trouble, too. DHS is your party to be notified, because there's a child an issue with a person that resides in the home with the child. Uh they'll be notified. I'm sure they'll be contacting you later today, try to set up a time to come out and meet with you. >> Bye, kiddos. >> Doesn't mean you can >> You'll be good to go in the morning today, okay? >> What's going on today? >> Me and my wife got into an argument. She got all upset, and I ended up taking my kids and I left. And she said that she called you guys, and I have warrants. So, I want to clear up whatever >> Where are the kids now? >> My kids they with my sister. She with >> what happened inside the apartment today? >> Well, we were sitting up in there. I ended up going to the store to buy the kids bananas. Well, I only had enough for a dozen of them, which is eight. We have, you know, we have eight kids, but two of them aren't eating. So, I ate a banana, you know, we had six passed out to the kids. I ate one, and I told him, my stepson, I was like, you know, there's not enough for you to get another one cuz it's not fair to everybody else. So, then, as soon as, you know, she went to the back room, he's all up I want to I don't want to be >> Hey, man, you're fine. >> Yeah, so he was all up in my face like this. I said, "Step back." I ain't push him till where he like hit the table or anything. >> Right, right. >> So, he ended up stumbling back. She got mad, came out of the room, and then she just started screaming and yelling talking about I'm enabling my son's behavior because he keeps peeing on himself. That's what the argument was over. My son kept peeing on himself, and she's like, "Uh you're enabling his behavior." So, she got mad, and she threw a fan at me. I shielded myself, and when the fan came down, it hit her 1-year-old son in the forehead. If you see him, you'll see the mark on his forehead. >> Yeah. >> And I said, "You're going to go to jail because I said you're you're showing domestic." I was like, "I don't want to be a part of that." So, I said, "I'm just going to take my kids and go." She got pissed off. She ran up on me, started swinging on me. So, then I kicked her back. I ain't going to lie, I kicked I kicked her in the stomach because I was trying to get her back. She's a big woman, taller than me, heavier set. I had to get her back. So, then when I kicked her back, she, you know, she got pissed off. She went up to my son and just started hitting him on the side of the head hard as [ __ ] I was like, "You're not going to hit my son." >> Which son? >> My my 3-year-old boy. And he's not injured because he just got hit upside the head, you know. >> Okay. >> like three, four times she did that. I was like, "You're not going to hit my son." Then she tried to shoot >> So, she just started taking it out on him? >> Yeah, she does that. >> you think she would >> Because when she gets overwhelmed, she she gets Okay, so it's hard to explain cuz it's just a lot. When I met her, she was in a terminating, you know, she was like they were like you're in a domestic situation, you're not trying to leave out of it. We're going to terminate your rights for your kids. >> Oh, okay. >> But then when I got with her, my GAL and my kids' guardian ad litem and my attorney, they fought for Savannah to keep her kids because they're like, "Either we're going to take away Alexis's kids cuz she's in a negative, you know, relationship, or we're going to, you know, give her her kids back." So, they helped Savannah get her kids back. But when Savannah gets overwhelmed, she takes her anger out on the kids, and I tried to explain that to her all the time, but she does she doesn't understand. So, when I came back when I dropped my kids off at my sister's, I came back and she's like, "Oh, you're going to have a warrant after you leave. You're going to do this and that." I was like, "No, I'm not." I was like, >> Did you think at any point that you might be best served to call us? I mean, you you said that she's >> I was trying to leave yesterday. >> Hold hold on. >> Sorry. >> I'm talking about today. You said that she just randomly started attacking your people. >> Yeah, I tried to leave and she got pissed off. >> And did you think that might justify a call to us if she's for your son wasn't even involved in it? >> Yeah. >> And she just starts attacking him and slapping him in the head? >> Yeah. >> Did you at any point think I should call the police? >> No. >> Tell them that she did this. >> Before that, I was trying to leave and that's what made her call you guys. And I was like, "You're toxic as [ __ ] You're trying to get my kids >> Cuz you know that her allegation is that you threw the fan at her and it bounced off of her and struck your other child in the head. >> No, I did not. I swear to god, I did not. She's lying. She threw the fan at me and she got mad cuz I killed him myself and the fan fell down on her 1-year-old son who was standing underneath me. And I said, "You're going to go to jail because you just hit me, you know, you just threw the fan and it hit me and left a mark on his forehead." And then she tried to say to my mom, she When I was talking to my mom in the house, like telling my mom, "Oh, I smashed her son's head against the glass table." I was like, "Now she's saying I smashed his head." Like that just sounds [ __ ] crazy. >> Yeah. >> What am I doing something like that and I have my own kids to worry, you know, >> Yeah. >> to worry about. >> Do you have any any chance you recorded any of the disagreement this morning or >> She also threw my phone against the wall and I can show you that it's broke because she threw it, you know what I'm saying? >> Yeah. >> Like I don't have no reason to lie to about nothing. >> Well, >> And if you go in the house, you can even see that the pan she got pissed off and she also threw the pan and the water on the floor on the kitchen floor. The whole floor is soaking wet cuz how she acts, you know? >> Yeah. >> And I had to go out the back door because after she hit my son, I was like, "No, I'm getting I don't have time for this. So, I went out the back door and that's what she was on the phone with the operator. She's like, "She's trying to leave. She's trying to leave." And I was like, "Yeah, you are being stupid in my stadium, dude." Yeah. >> The one in the house. >> Yeah. >> So, if I'm reading it right, there's There's nine kids in this house. >> And this is throwing this in real quick so you can bless us. The apartment manager pulled me aside. She said, "I'm not sticking up for either one of them, but I can tell you the one out here always leaves." She leaves trying to diffuse the situation. She said, "The one inside is the biggest problem." >> seems much more >> Yeah. >> like under control, self-control, like like aware and and Savannah was just a ball of emotions. >> just she goes from our point of view, Savannah has always been the problem. >> So, you have three children? >> Yes, I do. >> She How many does she have? >> and her, we share a son and a daughter together. >> Okay. >> So, I had the daughter that's with me right now. And then I had my two my three-year-old daughter and then I had my three-year-old son. >> So, how many kids total? >> She has eight kids. >> No wonder you guys are stressed out. >> Well, it's not really me. It's really her, honestly. She just been stressed for the longest. >> How long have you guys been together? >> We've been married since October. We've been together for about a year and a half. >> Has it always been like this? >> Like this? Like to where CPS got involved? No, not really. Like she's been in a messy relationship before, which I think that's why she called you guys cuz she wants to make herself look like a victim. >> As always, she likes to get people riled up and herself. >> And I ain't throwing no fan at her. You I don't even demonstrate where she was standing and everything. She was standing right there by the pillar, by the by the kitchen. The fan was sitting right there. She picked it up. She threw it at me and her son was standing right next to me. I feel it myself and the fan fell down and hit him right here on the forehead. You'll see that little mark. >> I saw the the mark on his forehead. >> It might have been accidental, but it's wrong. What you You throwing the fan and it hitting him on the forehead is wrong. You doing this in front of your kids is wrong. And if she got mad cuz I said I was taking my kids and she she got mad cuz I was taking my dog, which is her dog, too. She's like, "No, that's my baby." Okay, well, she don't need to be around her toxic lips. I'll be damned. No. >> Well, I mean, it's already it's been reported to DHS today anyways. I mean, I think DHS is kind of probably going to tell you both that you guys being together is not >> Yeah, no. I'm separating from her. I'm just going to let her gravitate out that apartment and then I'm going to move cuz I don't want to be in no domestic cuz I'm not >> What are you guys going to do about the two kids that you share? >> If she lets me see him then that's cool. >> Can I talk to you and then maybe you can relay it to Savannah and then >> Yeah. >> In short, we're not arresting either. >> Okay. >> Sgt. Reese says there's no injury to either of the parties. There's no ability to validate whose statement is accurate. >> I'm going to peek before you do that at the call notes make sure there isn't any wild allegation from Savannah that wasn't repeated or that contradicts what she told dispatch. >> Okay. >> And make sure her statement, you know, her story changed which you had would put her in the hay. You're giving different varying statements. Even if everything was healthy with that many kids that to care for at your I mean >> We have different parenting styles. >> No, I I I would imagine. She said something about the the three-year-old not doing or being allowed to do whatever they want and pee the bed and I'm like >> Yeah, my >> Kids don't choose to pee the bed. I I pissed the bed till I was 12. Not cuz I wanted to. >> Right. >> They found out it was a medical issue that I slept so deep that the urge to pee was not enough to wake me up. >> Well, I was telling her like maybe he's been through something traumatic and he's not ready to open up about it, you know. >> of things and and if a kid just is potty trained and then goes resorts back to all of a sudden not being potty trained, that's usually more of symptomatic of being touched inappropriately or something like that. But but a kid pissing the bed is not at all anything to do with like discipline or trust me, I was the best like my dad will tell you, extremely disciplined, did whatever I was told whenever I was told, but I couldn't wake up. >> Other than that, uh you didn't sustain any injuries, did you? >> No. >> During Okay. >> I just shielded him. I mean, the whole time I just shielded him myself because I I don't want to hit her because I knew I was going to go to jail. And that's what I tell her all the time, I'm not going to hit you back. I don't want to go to jail. I don't want to lose my kids. >> So, we're just doing a report reference everybody's side of what happened today. Like you said, it has to be reported to DHS just because, but that doesn't mean that >> was just on the phone with one of my workers. >> Okay. >> She had talked to my DHS worker. >> No, DHS is going to I just talked to them. They said if we stay together they're going to work on it with him because they know they they they see what I was trying to explain to the other cop. Like he does stuff intentionally and yes like as you would think as a three year old he won't have that mindset but like when he knows he'll get away with something like he goes to our job sits at our job cuz he got kicked out of daycare cuz he intentionally punched a little girl in to leave to go to aunt's house. >> Yeah. >> So and that's what he got for now he sits at our job. He thinks now if I just sit in my bed like he could be up for an hour and he'll just stop being inappropriate. Yeah, he'll just sit up and just pee on himself. >> [laughter] >> And you know he's awake cuz he changes his clothes immediately. >> Got you. Okay. >> And that's what the other cop wasn't understanding. He just kind of had an attitude he was like, "You know what? I'm just leaving." and I was just like, "Okay. You're not like listening to me." >> Well, you guys have a lot of kids all around the same age and >> Yeah, that's also why it's hard with his behavior is because now all the other kids are starting to act like this and >> Yeah. >> it's very hard. >> Right. So relying DHS isn't always a bad thing, right? I mean everybody freaks out. >> I've been asking DHS for help. >> Yeah, and so this is a perfect time to be like, "We are stressed. We you know, we need help. We need resources." >> she's scared to ask for help cuz she thinks it's going to become it's going to come back on her. >> And we we said that or we said, "You know, you guys got a lot going on and you guys live together with all the kids >> and then you work out and I walked away because the first thing that came to my mind is last time this happened my kids was yanked out of my hands. >> Yeah. >> And it took three years to get them home and that was only six months ago I finally got them home. So for them to potentially have to be ripped from my arms again >> Yeah. >> it's going to break my heart cuz that's only six months I got to replace [laughter] that three years. >> So, I don't know if she's coming back up or whatever, but try and keep things calm. If you guys get pissed off at each other again, just separate. Now, it doesn't say forever. You're like somebody goes for a walk, somebody goes to bedroom, just >> That's what I did and then that's when Zequoriyus started screaming because he was pushed and I heard the table move, so I instantly like knew you just pushed him into a table. [screaming] >> Right. >> Whether you meant to shove him against the table or whether you meant to get him out of your personal space, either way, you just said, "Oh well, you should have got out of my face." I just wouldn't have done that to her own son. So, I think that's why we reacted. >> Okay, I'm going to get out of here. All right, good luck to you, hon. >> Hi, are you Alexis? >> Yes. >> Hi. So, the reason I'm here today is >> Is that her son? >> Yep. Uh you guys got to an argument over a fan on the ground and then he was uh hit in the head with a fan by one of you two. Uh we're going to have to charge the two of you and you and Alexis with charges on both of you for that incident. So, today you're just being charged. You're not going to jail today. That's all. If you're cool, I'm going to do it in front. Do you have any questions for me? >> Um can I call my mom? >> Um that's a good question. >> I just wasn't quite sure. Do you agree with me leaving or anything? >> Yeah, I do. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> Yep. I got it. JUST TRYING TO GET MY PHONE. SO, you and Alexis are being charged for the incident that involved where you guys were throwing items and he got hit during it. Um so, she She was taken over for that and uh she was charged with that um and then you're going over for that as well. >> What? The same incident that they said the EMS said there and said that it was a nail scratch? >> I I I know that's right. I legitimately when I told you it's another detective's case, yeah, it is. >> Accusing me of hurting my child that has seizures and fiance. >> This whatever this is coming from. >> That's why I'm taking it out of my pocket. >> Okay. >> get out of my pocket, but I will >> Yeah, I'll turn it into your property. There's anything else on you that can't go into the jail? >> We're just walking all the way >> Both women were arrested and charged with DV and child endangerment.
