A couple different people. >> My money's in your bag. >> Dealers are very careful with their buyers. But what happens when they realize the person they just sold to is actually an undercover cop? >> It's pretty obvious, right? We texted you, ordered some dope. You came here to sell some dope. Is that pretty accurate? >> To get my money >> and to sell dope? >> No. To get my money? >> So, there's no dope in the car. >> Um, there is. >> Explain to me how a girl such as yourself with a 3-year-old at 24 years old gets involved with selling. >> You were texting undercover today and it looks like he passed away from the dope that you sold him. Here are nerve-wracking moments when drug dealers realized they sold to an undercover cop. Meet 35-year-old Matthew Simichek, a drug dealer who trusted his instincts, just not fast enough when he realized he got busted by an undercover cop. >> You're under arrest. >> Okay. >> Who did you sell? A couple different people. That's my money in your bag. And now we're going to go search Ash's place cuz that's where you left from. It's got to end, man. >> On the 22nd of April, 2022, an undercover cop set up a deal with a man named Matthew in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. 15 g of for $400. From a distance, another officer kept a close watch as the exchange began. Everything seemed to be going as planned until Matthew's demeanor changed and he started accusing the buyer of setting him up. Through the wire, the monitoring officer heard the situation spiral. A struggle breaking out from Matthew, forcing the decoy into his vehicle, and tension spiked in an instant. That hesitation, he rushed to the scene to save his undercover colleague before it was too late. >> POLICE GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. POLICE. POLICE. HEY, don't move. Don't move. POLICE GET OUT HERE. GET OUT HERE. YOU'RE UNDER ARREST. GET ON THE GROUND. Police department. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. POLICE. You're under arrest. POLICE DEPARTMENT. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. Don't move. Let me see your hands. Hands. Hands. PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. >> I ain't going to do nothing. >> Don't move. >> Shut the car off. >> Are you injured at all, >> Matt? >> No. >> Are you sure? >> Yeah. >> All right, I'm going to roll you over. >> Oh, I didn't. What did I do? Stand up. What did I do? >> Investigator Manuso lacrosse police. >> I know. I know. What did I do? >> I want to make sure you're okay. >> Yeah. What did I do though? >> Step over here. >> Right there. Right there. Right there on the ground. On the ground. >> Hey, I don't know. >> That's right. >> Sounds good. >> Hey, there's no in the car. >> You're being detained. >> Why? Why am I being detained? >> You're being detained, Matt. Okay. Got anything done wrong? >> No drugs. >> Are you injured? >> No. >> Okay. Where' the other one go? >> No. Who was the person that they were with? >> Stay right there. >> I lost my radio in the car. >> You can check me right >> 26. I'm 95 one time with Matthew's my check front of shimmies. Matthew knew exactly what was happening, but chose to play dumb, thinking it would give him the upper hand. And it did. Just not in the way he expected and definitely not in his favor. >> All right, Matt. For now, you're going to go in the back of the car. Okay. >> Just a beep. >> Yeah, >> we're just going to hang on to this for >> nothing illegal in there. >> No. Fair enough. >> He's the one just smoking after in the car. Okay. >> Where's my stuff? Sit on the floor of the passenger seat in there. >> I know y'all ain't going to find no drugs. It's not heaven. So, >> I mean, it's got to be in here somewhere, right? >> We we we bought half. We bought the We bought it. But he this the informer said that. >> Now if that means the back of the house or if they're in his nuts, I have no idea. >> But he he could have most likely if he he thought he's been set up he tried to get the CI back forcibly into the car to give the nuts. And where's the CI gone? Can you come out for me yet? What' you say? >> I don't have any. I don't know. Misunderstand you. >> Officers quickly placed Matthew in the back of the patrol car, but before heading to jail, they gave him one chance to come clean. Instead, his arrogance took over until the truth surfaced right in front of him. And the look on his face says it all. >> Having these rights in mind, do you wish you speak with me about why we're here? >> Yeah. >> Okay. You're under arrest or sound. Okay. >> Who did I sell? >> Who did you sell? >> A couple different people. >> But my money's in your bag. >> Okay. Yep. >> So, I think it is. >> It is. Trust me. Why? Why? Why are we doing this again? >> How much is it? >> You'll read the report. >> Oh, I didn't buy. >> Okay. I'm not lying, bro. I I didn't know what you're doing here. Okay. I didn't feel like putting my hands on you, but when you're when you're trying to tell somebody to get in the car against their will, okay, that that scares me, okay? So that's why you're being under arrest. >> I was gonna >> You just dollars worth of Okay, it's on video. The person that just got out of the car right here and you tried. When are you going to learn to stop selling meth? >> You're under arrest. That's my money in your bag. And now we're going to go search Ash's place cuz that's where you left from. >> It's got to end, man. >> Without further ado, Matthew was taken to jail and charged with manufacturing or delivering methamphetamine. false imprisonment and misdemeanor resisting an officer. Matthew let his ignorance lead the way, but 20-year-old Elijah walked straight into a nightmare when a routine deal turned into a carefully planned undercover setup with $11,000 on the line. >> CHAIR'S OFFICE. SHER'S OFFICE. HEY, DAD. >> I have a family, man. This isn't what it looks like. >> Dude, this is horrible, man. What the >> I just got set up. This is soing messed up, man. Like, this is going to be a big charge. >> Yeah. I mean, it is what it is. >> On November the 8th, 2024 in Okchobee, a quiet setup to capture a suspected local drug distributor known as Elijah was already in motion after an undercover cop reached out to Elijah, posing as a buyer. And just like that, Elijah sent over the full menu, prices, and all, adding up to nearly $11,000. The deal was set right at Elijah's doorstep while backup units waited in the shadows. As the undercover car pulled into the driveway, Elijah approached with a brown box. Moments after the officer confirmed what was inside, everything changed and Elijah's life was about to be as if it was out of A MOVIE. >> CHAIR'S OFFICE. CHAIRS OFF YOUR HAND. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Get on your knee. >> Oh my god. >> Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. >> What the hell, man? >> Don't pull away, man. Come here. >> Oh no. >> Lord. >> Hey, is anyone else in the house? >> Anyone else in the house? >> Huh? >> Anybody else in the house? >> Who else is in the house? >> My dogs. Who else? >> My dog. >> Is your dad? >> Uh, no. >> Anybody else? Hey. Hey, don't pull away. >> No. No. No. No. No. >> Who's in the house? >> No. Can I please text my mom? I at least call her and let her know. >> Who's in the house? >> Nobody. Can I please >> Where are your dogs at? What kind of dogs you got? >> I got I got beautiful >> What kind of dogs? Lap little dogs. Big dogs. >> Um, her good dogs. >> You know what else is in the house other than some dogs? I don't change. >> Why? >> This doesn't I just want to >> There's nothing back here. >> Yes, sir. >> Like I said, I want to make this easy for you guys. This isn't disturbing. >> But can I at least call my mom? >> Talk about something back here. >> Come on, man. >> Have a seat, brother. >> Yes, sir. >> Dude, this is a private guy. >> Can you sit? >> Can you sit on that or no? >> Yes, >> sir. I don't want this. >> Just say, >> "Can I please call my mom?" >> Just a little bit. >> How old are you? >> 717. >> Okay. You're 20 years old. You don't need to call mom 715. >> Sir, don't pull away. >> Don't pull away from me. >> Have a seat. Now you're going to make >> Yes, sir. Yes, sir. >> All right. Knock it off. >> Sit right here. Cross your feet. Cross your feet. Sit right there. Try anything. Don't try anything, man. You're going to get hurt. >> Oh, hold on a minute. Right behind. Let's stand him up. That way we can get you. >> I got I got a knife in my pocket. >> You got a knife in your pocket? All right. Don't worry. I'll pick that up. >> Come here. >> I don't want that. What is going on? >> Just walk it. >> Yes, sir. That was a gift from my dad. do that to me. >> But I don't want to go for a long time. >> And all this is just >> you have gloves. >> No, >> that's not even mine. It's my friend told me to come to his house. >> Keep walking away from me. You're going to get hurt. >> I'm sorry. I just I'm stressing out, man. I got really bad. >> That was your friend. >> Huh? I don't know who that was. >> Okay. >> Oh, I was supposed to say my hands were dirty as hell. >> I didn't even get to wash my face and take a shower. Nothing. >> You're in handcuffs, buddy. What do you think? >> You have an officer. My family. My I have a family, man. This isn't what it looks like. Elijah's confidence collapsed into silence as the truth hit him. He hadn't just made a deal. He had just sold to the last people you would want to sell to. >> Here Sergeant's going to resell to you. All right. Elijah. >> Elijah. Elijah, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used on the law. You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have them present with you while you are being appointed. will be appointed for any question to decide at any time to exercise his rights and not answer any questions or make any statements. You understand your rights? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Um, who else is inside the house? >> Nobody. Would I be able to have my phone? Wait. >> Where's your phone at? >> That's that's on the table. >> Do you have a problem just doing the retrieving for you? >> No, I don't. Can I go like behind you like >> Sure. Is there any dogs in the house? They're really nice. They're really nice. Yeah, we're going. They're really Come on. Oh my gosh, >> dude. This is horrible, man. What the I just got set up. >> What do you want? >> Just sit right. >> Can I please get my phone? Where'd my phone go? >> I have it. >> You have it. Your mom's at the bus depot right now working. >> Mhm. >> The bus depot. >> Dad is a pirate island. >> What What does your dad do over there? >> He's a chef. >> I try to help my Like I said, I I don't I try not to do anything to hurt nobody. >> I know. I know. I know. I just feel sick, man. >> No, I got you. >> No, I just You know how it is, man. >> I got you, man. That's what I'm saying. Just just breathe. >> No, this isn't it's not it's not and it's not as you know crazy. Just just one thing at a time when you >> Yes, sir. >> We'll we'll get to calling your parents and stuff like that. Um but first I want to deal with kind of what's happening here in your room. The other stuff like that that I saw. Okay. All that stuff in there. The stuff that's obviously illegal. I mean, you already got this stuff, so it's not really any additional charges. Okay, instead of me going through the process of typing a search warrant and going through the whole house, do you mind if I go into your room and collect that and uh anything else that's illegal in there? >> I do. I do mind that that those rigs aren't illegal. I haven't even been able to smoke it >> rigs. I don't want your rigs. I have I am not taking a single one of your rigs. I want the like the bags of I want any more that's in there. Um stuff like that. I I'm not taking your rigs. I don't want a single bong or anything like that. >> I don't I don't >> I promise you I'm not going to take a bong. I'm going to take the bags and that I've seen in there and anything else in the containers. >> Hey, this just uh >> it's up to you. >> No, I mean you say it's no additional charges. >> As far as I know, I mean, unless there's something in there that I don't know about. >> No, no, don't write a search one. Just take them. Okay. Just take them. If if there's no additional charges on top, just take >> So if I go in there, right, and there's like like some additional that we don't know about that that we don't already got from from the uh transaction that you just did, >> you know. Yeah. So if there's like 10 kilos of in there, >> that's different. Okay. >> This is soing messed up, man. Like this is going to be a big charge. >> Yeah. I mean, it is what it is. I mean, it happened. You just got to deal with it. >> Yeah, but I I don't want to be in jail for half my life. Nobody said you're going to be in How old are you? >> I'm explaining. >> How long do you think you're going to go to jail for? >> Like 8 10 years. I don't want that. >> Probably not. >> What? I I don't even want two. >> Well, that's what I'm saying. You're not going for half of your life. >> I don't even want a couple years, man. >> Well, that's something that you're going to have to discuss with them. I mean, that and then, you know, you could always talk to us, too. And I mean, tell us where this stuff is coming from. And I mean, that might help you out as well. >> I don't know why, man. Like I did, I'm a really like sensationalist person. Like I care about the people I care about. You know what I mean? Like do do you care if I go in there and grab that stuff or and do you want I can grab your bait for you as well. >> Betrayal hit hard and as the pain set in, Elijah could only let his regrets slip out, laying the raw truth bare in that moment. >> I really don't want to search more officers. So yes, but but I promise you like literally he was clear my whole everything I had. That was the whole reason I just like I told That's why I don't even want to go through the process of typing it up to grab two bags of you know what whatever you going to leave. >> But I don't want you to process a search warrant either cuz my family doesn't need like you know I mean it don't matter. I'm not worried about anything. Even if you were to process a search warrant there's nothing you know I mean that's why I said he's literally clearing everything and he was helping me out like I thought I was going to make and what I was going to do with that. I was literally going to invest in like Vanguard cuz my buddy said he was trying to teach me stock marketing on Discord and [ __ ] like that. I was like saying so you can like learn how to like like you know what I He said, "I need at least nine grand to start to add up in Vanguard." And I told him like, "Once I get me and my dad were talking about this last night." I said, "Dude, once I get rid of all this," he's like, "You're done. You're done." I was like, I said, "Yes, I am." I said, "I don't want to do this." I said, "This is the life." It was kind of like that song with Warg and Nate Dog. That's why I got them studio monitors, man. Like I I saved up a lot of money, not from this, but like whenever I was a kid growing up because I've always wanted to make music and I wanted to get out of doing anything that was related like this because it wasn't anything I was aspired to be. >> I don't think you're a bad person or anything like that. >> No, I know. >> You're just trying to make some money. You >> want the computer? >> I just It's just everything that's there, man. It just sucks. I just don't want my parents to like get their house taken away or nothing like that. Like they've wor they worked hard for this [ __ ] Are they going to get evicted? >> No. >> No, that's not our intentions. Our intentions is just what it what he just explained to you. >> You know, we already got this stuff from you from you conducting transaction. >> I don't even want to do anything with this. Like I said, I'm I'm like I I understand what you guys do, man. You're just trying to get rid of this that it's that's here because that's your job. >> And my thing is I was just trying to get rid of it, too, cuz I was But that's not the way to do it, man. >> No, that's not the way to do it. >> You're right. Like I've been out there. I've been like working on myself and been trying to drink more water. That's why I've been dehydrated lately. >> Yeah. Did you Did you smoke anything today? Did you do anything? >> This is not going to get any more trouble. Just >> No, I know. I just smoked a joint, man. >> You smoke a joint early. What time did you smoke a joint? >> Um couple minutes ago. >> Okay. >> Not a couple minutes. >> Yeah, but you just weed, right? You didn't do any no shrooms or any of that stuff. >> No. >> Okay. I just so I know so in case anything yummy I mean I can get you get you medical whatever you need. Um but you're reading way too much into this and it really is. Um just just listen to us you know work with us and we'll work with you. All right. We're not we're not out here trying to jam people up put them in prison and on all that like you know what I mean? We're not trying to ruin lives. We're trying to save lives and that including yours. We have boundaries that we can work within. We can't go outside of those boundaries. Yes sir. >> So all you got to do is like I said just listen. This is what we're asking. This is what we're saying. You'll be surprised how I find out. >> Okay. >> You sure? >> You saying that? Trust me, man. We doing this a long time. >> Like even a year would be a long time, man. Like, >> like I said, that detective that just went in there, that that's your guy to talk to. >> Mhm. Like I said, >> do you have a medical card? >> I was trying to get one. I've been going to >> But do you have one? >> No, sir. >> Do your parents have one? No, I like I said, I I usually like I said, I just trying to hang out and have fun. I try to go to like legal events like 710 Dab day and stuff like that because I know that they had medical cards like uh opportunities where you can go get get them cheaper there. It's just like I said, I haven't had a lot of money and I've been trying to help my parents out. I give them most of what I got just so and the thing is it does go to most of the house and the bills because we're trying to fix up what what's wrong with the house around here. >> Where do you work at? >> Huh? I haven't had a job. >> When was the last time you worked? >> I haven't had one. >> You never had a job? >> No, sir. I've I've always been trying to get one, though. I promise you. Like, even my friend Shane, like I was just talking to him a minute ago, cuz I didn't feel right about this. And I was asking him if he wanted to be behind me, but he would have been an accomplice. I wouldn't have been good. And he just had a kid, man. A search of Elijah's bedroom revealed even more man and psilocybin mushrooms carefully tucked away, adding to the growing case against him. Moments later, he was led out to the patrol vehicle in handcuffs. The $11,000 drug deal case now fully locked in against him. Mr. Paris tell you what you were doing. >> I'm not sure. >> You sure? They probably do. They talk to you about it though. You say your dad probably talked to you about it. >> I don't think he talked to me about it. >> Me, too. This is detective. He's your case officer. He's the lead on your case. This is a guy if you want to discuss something you want to tell. This is the guy you built. >> He's going to have the question. >> That's some boo boo right now. >> Oh, looks good. >> It smells good. >> Oh, yeah. >> That's like >> It smells like veggies. >> Yeah, that's what I was saying. >> That's why you call it boo boos. >> Yeah, I call like more like raify. That's >> Yeah, when I was a kid. >> Snickle fritz, man. Snickle prints. >> Can I keep my bag? >> It's easier for me to carry it like this. >> I know, man. But >> you can always get the bag. >> Can't you put it in the box? >> I like Wait, can I get a bag back? >> Yeah, you can get it back. >> Oh, okay. Like I said, I try to help my parents around here when they're gone and stuff like that. Like I don't live like a gangster, man. I just kind of >> I try to live pretty peaceful, you know? We got a hold on. >> No, you're here. >> I forgot we got it. You're here. >> Hey, let's start walking out there. >> Might have off camera. >> Okay. >> In the end, Elijah was charged with narcotics trafficking, sale of controlled substances, and possession with intent to distribute. Next is this 24year-old mother of a three-year-old who walked straight into what she believes is a routine deal, completely unaware that she had just walked into something far darker tied to a case involving involuntary homicide. It's pretty obvious, right? We texted you, ordered some You came here to sell some dope money >> and to sell? >> No, to get my money. >> So there's no in the car. >> Um, there is. and you were texted unreco today and it looks like you passed away from the that you sold. >> I saw down. >> On the 24th of July 2025, a meet up at a McDonald's turned into a staged buy with officers posing as customers to catch a local dealer in the act. But the moment she arrived and realized who was waiting, her reaction said everything without a single word needed. Put your hands on top of your head. Put your hands together. Don't lock your fingers. Step on out. It's okay, dear. I promise you. Hop on out. Where is it? >> Where is it? >> It's in my bag. >> Okay. The brown bag? >> No. In my book bag. >> The That one? >> Yes. >> The brown bag? >> No, my book bag. The book. It's in the book bag. >> Yes. >> Okay. What is your name, dear? >> Ricochet. >> Rche. >> Yes. >> Okay. Right now, you're being placed under arrest. You have any idea why you're being placed under arrest? >> Yes. >> Okay. All right. Your cooperation is going to go. >> It's going to be needed. Okay. >> Okay. >> Who? Let's get back here cuz I don't want your daughter looking at you with your handcuffs. Set in the book bag. Come over here. Let's go in here. Anything on you? You going to poke me, stick me? >> No. >> Okay. No arms in the car. >> No. >> Can I pull my lap, please? >> Yeah. Yeah. We're going to get to that. Okay. Have a seat. Okay. Who can we call for your daughter? Who's baby dad? >> Huh? >> Who's baby dad? Is he around involved at all? >> He's in jail. >> He's in jail. >> Yeah. >> Okay. where we can get a hold of mom. >> Yes. >> Okay, we'll get to that. I got to read you something really quick before we get going. >> She didn't resist the officer's move for a split second. She already sensed the trap had closed in. But as the moment settled and the discovery came to light, regret and embarrassment started to creep in. >> I'm going to jail. >> We're going to talk about that. >> I am though, sir. >> What's that? >> Am I going to jail? >> We're going to talk about that. I got to read you something first. Okay, >> Miss Rightight. >> Yes. >> Okay. Understand? East, right? That I read to you. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. So, I think the it's pretty obvious, right? We texted you order. You came here to sell some pretty accurate >> get my money >> and to sell? >> No, to get my money. >> So, there's no in the car. >> Um, there is, but I came to get my money. >> Okay. Who was texting you? >> Andrew. >> Okay. Um, what's going to happen now is we're going to figure out what's going on with your daughter real quick. See if we can't give up custody to your mom. More than likely we have to rule sixer. But I if your mom doesn't have a rule sixer >> it means like CSB gets you guys out there. >> The reason the reason for that is is because you're being arrested for trafficking. Okay. It's a felony. It's per our procedure. But as long as mom is cool and everything else like that, I don't see any problems why your daughter can't go. We I would prefer that she goes with your mom. And then what's going to happen is I'm going to take you down to the station to the sixth floor. We're going to have a conversation and I'll explain a little bit more about what's going on. >> Yeah. >> Sound good? >> Yeah. Can I ask you another question? Yes, ma'am. So, am I going to be staying today and night jail? >> Where exactly is it? >> It should have been in my bag. >> She said it should have been in the bag. >> Huh? >> She said it should have been in the book bag. >> In here. >> In this little thing. >> No, it should have been in there. >> In here? >> And inside? >> Yeah. >> Inside. Inside. >> Yeah. Like it shouldn't be in there. Okay. >> Watch your feet. We got this. >> Got it. >> Yeah. >> I know all this seems like scary and fast moving right now, but I promise you my my main priority is your daughter. Okay. I have to call CSB to get them involved. I will get mom's information. My my biggest wish right now is for daughter to go with mom. >> Please. The woman's mother and sister were contacted as officers focused on the safety of her three-year-old child. As a mother learned what was going on, no parent should ever have to experience what she endured. >> Is this your car? She said something about this is your car. >> She's back here. Talk to me cuz I promise you by the end of this you're going to be more upset with her than you are with us. >> I'm not upset with you guys. >> I'm not upset with you guys at all. >> Hey, take I don't want her over here. >> This is what I can say. All right. She's caught up in an investigation right now. That's and a pretty serious one. That's all I can explain to you right now. Okay. >> You guys taking all her possessions. You guys keep all her stuff. That's mine. >> Okay. I'm going to hand that back to you. >> Why? You got to do something with my car. >> What's that? >> You got to do something with my car. >> Yes. >> What you got to do with my car? >> You have to tow it. >> We're going to have to >> What do you mean? >> It's not a fence. OFF THE FENCE. >> I CANNOT NOT be without my car. >> Listen, you're going to be able to get it back. I promise you. Yes. I won't I won't >> Oh my god. Let me make sure I don't have nothing. She I just got off work and she was just running to McDonald's or wherever the heck she was going. >> I promise you. Uh this is what you're going to need. Okay. >> I need to get the rest of my stuff out of there. Please I put my my or maybe I don't know. My mind I'm just combining >> here. Listen. Listen to me. Look at me and listen. Okay. >> I'm going to get you the registration cuz you'd be able to get it released today. Look at me. >> I'm going to have to pay for this. I don't got the money. Oh my god. >> I'm I promise you >> we were on our way to my son's seven. My seven her brother just turned seven. That's where we were on our way to. >> There's nothing in here that's mine. She can't fit my car. >> Well, what we found in the car, dear, is that's why he's checking. >> There was stuff in my car. >> Oh, yeah. Some nasty stuff. Like I said, I I can't really discuss much about it, but >> Are you serious? >> I I'm This is >> There's a lot of stuff. >> This is a serious situation. >> Oh, I know. All is very serious. My cousin just my cousin know how serious it is. >> Oh my god. She's saying where is she going now? She can ride with us or she's going to ride with me and you can put her in the car seat we have. >> We got her tablet. >> Call your dad. Let's call you got to go with this lady for >> awesome. So the hope is what you want to do. But the hope is is if you guys can follow down this this this experience is as short as possible. >> I know it sucks. It's a sucky situation all around. >> Get some information from you. Okay. >> Child protective services stepped in and took the child into temporary custody as the woman was escorted to the police station for questioning, completely unaware of the darker reality she was about to face once the full details of her deeds came to light. So, we talked a little in the car, right? I think when we came up to the car, you kind of knew what was going on. What did you think was going on? >> I had just got caught up texting thinking I'm texting some the person I was supposed to get the money from and delivered to her and I wasn't. >> Who was texting you? >> It was supposed to be Andrew. >> Andrew, you were texting. And what was Andrew asking for? >> Um, a a 20 bag. >> 20 bag. And what do you understand that to be? >> What? Um, yeah. >> Explain to me how a girl such as yourself with a 3-year-old at 24 years old gets involved with selling. >> So, it really was like a last resort. I feel like I told you, my baby dad is in jail for 12 years and that plays a part in everything I really have going on now, like with me being on papers and the theft charges and stuff. So, I just went into a depressive like mind state and was basically just trying to figure out how to make some extra money real quick and stuff like that. >> When's the last time that you sold it? >> It's in my It's in my phone. I don't remember the exact thing, but it was a couple days ago. >> So, you didn't go into his house? >> No, not No, not recent. I have not been inside his house. >> Okay. >> I think I think I did step foot in in his living room for like two probably like 2 minutes. >> Who is that? Is that you? >> Yeah, that's me. >> Okay. It's a pretty nasty stuff and it's killing people out here. Do you realize that? >> Yeah. >> Why are you doing it? >> So, like I said, I I haven't been doing it. Like, I don't I don't really have a real explanation, but except that I just need the extra money. Like, and I I don't I just my head is all over. I can't even give you a straight answer on that, sir. I really can't. Like I said, I just been trying to get some extra money in my pocket. And he he hit me up out of nowhere. Like it was pretty weird to me that he even hit me up after um a month had passed by and he owed me. >> But he asked for you had some you were willing to sell to him. >> I was correct. >> Just the name of somebody. >> Correct. >> Um well Andrew is >> he died. >> He's dead. That's why I had his phone and you were texting him on the cover today and it looks like he passed away from the that you sold him. >> I sold him. >> You were the last person that he asks for a fusion pulls up. You walk inside the house, you're on camera and that's the last time somebody's hurt. His mom ends up fighting dad 2 days later roughly about. So this is a pretty serious situation. Like serious. >> And y'all think it's me. I think it's for you. >> I know it's >> it's from me. >> I know it's from you. >> I don't want this for you. I really don't. You seem like a really nice girl taking care of her three-year-old daughter, you know, that's just trying to make fast money, but these are the consequences when you try to make fast money. >> Staying here. >> Yeah, you're going to be staying here. >> You have to help me, sir. >> 100%. You're out here selling this stuff. >> I'm not even My god. >> Hear me out. Listen to me. I can't believe you just said look at me and listen to me. >> I don't think you are out here trying to sell this poison to everybody because it's fun, right? >> What looked like a harmless transaction quickly twisted into something with consequences she could not escape. And in the end, she was left to face it all alone. >> I can't get house arrest right now or nothing like no supervision. >> We'll probably go to court tomorrow morning. Like I said, I'm not going to charge you for the involuntary right now or the corrupting right now. I'm just going to hold you on the for the trafficking, the possession, and whatever the judge wants to bond you out on, the judge will bond you out on. You can get a bond. I'm doing my due diligence and not charging you with involuntary and corrupting right now. I feel like I have enough to do that right now, but I think that's unfair for me to do at this moment till I figure out some other stuff. Is there anything else you got to say about this situation? I don't know what to say. I just I'm so irritated cuz every time I try to do right, it's always something that stops me. Like, >> well, when I when you hear about that, when you hear about Andrew being dead >> from an overdose, what how does that make you feel? >> That makes me feel sad. I I feel so many type of ways right now >> because I mean it seems like >> um no officer >> what what I'm saying is hear me out is you know in the text messages he's always like hey I'm sorry thank you >> he was so no he was so sweet when I see him the other I said you look good I said you look great like oh my god >> so why didn't you when you see him when you see him looking good >> he I >> why not I have you thought to yourself like you know what I can't do this to this man? >> I I officer I swear I I that you have I I know you don't know what type of person I am or who I am but I am that type of person before I even start texting him and got involved with him. I said, "Oh, you're too handsome and you too like you're too nice to be doing this type stuff. Why are you doing this?" And he he he said it was the way he came up like growing up and stuff like that. I don't I didn't want to do that. I don't >> Well, how did you even get messed around with Andrew in the first place? >> Cuz someone introduced me to him like a while like years ago. I don't even remember who someone introduced to me to Andrew years ago. And then he never texted me like or anything cuz they say he was a mechanic. And then he said, "Hey, do you know where I could get so and so?" The first time I talked to him, like I said, it was about my car. I never even had none of that stuff. Then he said, "Do you know where I could get so and so?" And he kept texting me like months apart. I don't want to sit here and try to pretend to be your dad, but you got some figuring out to do. You still have your whole life ahead of you and your whole daughter. >> I know I have to deal with this. That's like >> Well, yeah. You're going to have to pay the consequences of your actions 100%. Like that's that is the reason why I'm here. It's the reason why I do this job is to hold people accountable for things like this. >> As a case settled, she was charged with corrupting another with drugs, trafficking in possession of a 24year-old mother felt remorseful, but not 20-year-old Kamari, a teen with active warrants who remained unfazed and unapologetic after an undercover bust brought everything crashing down around him and two others. >> Oh, both y'all down. Get down. Get down now. Get down now. Both of y'all get tags. Show me your hands. >> The backpack that I cut off your back. >> How many? >> You got two. You have a possession of a co um no bond and then you have a failure to appear for a driving wall license suspended. You sold me on the 13th last week. >> Okay. Well, you're going to jail for for two felonies. Okay. On November the 26th, 2024, Florida detectives set their plan in motion, targeting 20-year-old Kamari Green, who was already wanted on two active warrants after an undercover buy was arranged at his own residence. The moment finally came with every present cop on edge, bracing for whatever was about to unfold. That's Target. Let's got the warrant right there. Let's go. The warrant. The black right there. Let's got the warrant. >> Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get off the ground. I'm going to chase you. >> Oh, both of y'all down. Get down. Get down now. Get down now. Both of y'all get tased. Show me your hands. Keep your hands out like an airplane. >> Keep them all out. Do not move. >> Stay down. Stay down. Do not move. >> Get your hands. >> You guys are under arrest. Tell them. Stay there. >> Shut up. >> Shut up. >> All right. Both of you put your hands behind your back. Swallow your back. >> Put your hands behind your back now. >> He's getting compliant. Okay. >> Wow. What the Maybe a van would bear. >> Anyone else in your apartment? >> Turn over and sit up. >> Okay. What? >> Anyone else in your apartment? >> I don't stay here. Huh? >> Is there anyone else in your apartment? >> Apartment on the second floor on the left. >> You don't stay here, sir. >> Is there anyone else in there? >> I don't stay there. >> And I've been watching you all. >> Have you been watching me all day? >> I've been watching you all day and I live in there right there. You were there. >> 60 seconds ago. >> 60 seconds. That was crazy. >> Is there anybody else in that apartment? cuz we're about to hit a search warrant there. >> Uh my brother and his his baby mother. >> There's multiple people in the >> apartment. Brother and female at least at least a couple of adults in there. >> Glad you guys got here. >> Almost missed it. >> What do I have a warrant for? >> What do I have a warrant for, sir? >> Where do you want him at? >> Stand up. Stand up. >> Put your What the [ __ ] >> You want to sit there with them and watch them? We're going to hit the place. >> What are you guys getting the place for? >> They have not been searched though. >> I need them searched. >> How many other people? We got old there. How many kids are there? >> There's only two people in there. >> Yes, sir. >> Any kids? Any animals? >> No. Uh, two cats. >> Okay. No dogs. >> Are there any guns in here? Any guns in there? >> Uh, no. Not right now. You know, you sure? >> Positive. >> Okay. >> Hey, let's see. Did you pat him down real good? >> Two adults in there. Was very uh not sure about the whole weapon thing. So, should be no animals other than cats, no kids, but when we asked about guns, he I I would venture to say based on his response, there are weapons. >> Kamari and his accompllices, Tyrell and Tyrone Holmes, were detained on the spot as officers moved in with a search warrant. Caught in a moment when nothing made sense. They stood there stunned, leaving them processing a situation that had just slipped completely out of their control. >> You're over 18, right? H >> You're over 18, right? >> Yeah. My mom had some background. I don't understand. What does that got to do with going? They >> have a search warrant. >> Talking about search warrant. I don't There's no other way to say it. So, >> we're selling what? Like can I stand up? So if you want to show the screen, I'll check it. Go have a seat. >> He's going to do it on you. >> You want to feel this pocket too? >> Yep. He's going to do it. I just want I'm just doing of your waist real quick. You do these. >> Yeah. That [ __ ] is crazy. Y'all too. >> I'm not sure if anyone >> was on the radio. Uh, was there kids in the house or No, we're just adults. >> Should be just adults. >> Yeah. How much money you had in your pocket? >> $30. $50. I >> think it's 50. Two 20s and two fives. I'm going to put it in your bag. So they sent y'all over here all like this for a warrant for >> So you have a warrant? Well, we have a search warrant for the apartment you've been in. So yeah, >> for what? >> Selling drugs out of it. >> Y'all just happened to be outside when we were serving it. So What did you just say? >> I said that we have a warrant, a search warrant for the residence and you guys just happen to come outside when we were serving it. >> And you have a warrant out of Orange County. I think two >> warrants out of Orange County, I >> think. I'm not sure. It might just be one. Yeah, >> it was definitely the thing. Which one is this supposed to agent come to talk to you guys? You'll be able to call your mom just now. Right now, >> when I get to jail, am I going to jail? >> Seinal count. >> As detectives secured the apartment and cleared out the remaining occupants, officers outside began searching the detained suspects. With folks like them, there was almost always a chance that they had some incriminating substances on them. >> So, this is going to go to the jail with him. So, I'm going to search it. >> Yeah. my my phone to my brother so you can call my people. >> We'll we'll figure that out. Yeah. Is your brother inside? Is that what you're talking about? >> Yeah. >> The backpack that I cut off your back. >> That doesn't count for that. That's not what that works. Yeah, >> bring all the people over. All the garbage back over. >> All right. All the stuff that was in your pocket, I'm putting in the front pocket. I don't know if you want to grab his phone. >> Yeah, >> that's your phone. The purple one with the cord. >> You want to take him? Yeah, I'll take him over there. Yeah. That's his stuff up there. >> Is that illegal? >> I think that's illegal. >> Detectives searched the apartment while Kamari and his accompllices were questioned outside, trying hard to act unfased. But behind those calm expressions, regret and remorse were already starting to surface. >> Mr. Green, want to step in for me? >> Come over here. >> What's up? Just sit right. Yeah, right there, man. Appreciate it. All right, Mr. Green. Um, never met you before, but I know who you are. Um, >> how do you know? >> I got >> Yeah, the warrants. Um, >> warrants. >> How many warrants? >> You got two. You have a possession of a code. Um, no bond, and then you have a failure to appear for a Dragon Wall license suspended. Um, so they are active. They are extraditable. I think one's out of Orange County and one's like Hillsborough or something. I >> I took Howard or Columbia County or something. >> So, they're going to exit me into Columbia County. >> I think they'll finish the the local charges here. >> Um because you are getting charged with some other stuff and I'll tell you why. Um but then and then I think the local charges will will go into effect first and then you'll worry about the warrants. You know what I'm saying? Um and and if they are >> what will go into effect first? >> The the local stuff. So, if you charge anything today, I think you had some in your backpack. Um you'll get charged with that and then um and that. So, um, do you know why you're in handcuffs other than your warrant? >> No, sir. >> Okay. Um, and this is the time I'm going to let you know if there's anything in the house that you, you know, that I can tie to you, you're going to be charged with. Um, you're also going to be charged with sale as well as possession with intent, the pound that you had on you. Um, that's obviously not the the prescription that you get from the I know you have a card. You said, >> "How do I get from self?" >> Uh, so you did sell uh to me actually uh last week. You're the two the two boys, your brothers. I facetimed you, got you on recording, telling me you're sending your boy out. Met him over here. You gave me the address. That was me. I'm a cop. Um, so for that, which is a felony, and then possession with consent, which is another felony. Uh, you're also going to get unlawful use of a two-way communication device, which is basically using a cell phone to commit a felony, which is what you did. Um, I got the text, you know, and I'm just being really, I'm not trying to be I'm just telling you straight up what the charges are. Um, obviously we're a unique unit. We're not the normal cops. You know what I'm saying? We don't we don't have patrol cars. We drive unmarked. We wear masks. We buy from people. I know, but you know, um, we have the the unique ability to allow you instead of, you know, getting charged with the stuff I'm going to charge you with to to cooperate. I know it's not popular on on the street, you know, oh, snitch snitch. But if I was in your in in your shoes, I would I would be looking out for myself. You know what I'm saying? I know you have information on people that were interested in. I'm not saying you have to do it now. You could do now if you wanted to, but if you don't want to, if you hire an attorney in the future, whether it's a public defender or if you get one assigned to you, which you will. If you if you don't hire a private attorney, tell them that you want to work with the unit of Sim County. You know what I'm saying? Um, and then we can set up a meeting, closed doors, you know, you know what I'm saying? No one knows about it. Me and you, your attorney, my attorney, the state, you know what I'm saying? Um, so I didn't look in the backpack. Is it just the weed that they found? Like the pound or whatever? >> Yeah. Is it >> just some weed? Come down. Is there anything else in the bag? Like scale or anything baggies? Okay. >> Is your wallet in there? No, sir. >> As if the evidence already recovered wasn't enough, the search of the apartment revealed something even more incriminating, escalating the case further. >> You mind getting all their names, too, and stuff? I I've been reporting. I haven't talked to anyone that's their name yet. Talked to Destin. Uh Dustin, the far right, Jade, the pregnant lady, and then Gine. >> No, I'm saying this guy. Do you know if he's a convicted felon? >> I don't even know how that is. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> There's a backpack up in the closet with all of his paperwork and a signal zero handgun. >> I ran it. Yeah. It's not stolen, but it's in the closet. >> Um there's also just paraphernia. >> Can you check for conviction for all then? Cuz if is it in view like >> No, it was in the backpack in the closet. >> In the closet. Okay. >> In that backpack. >> Make sure um um Dustin Howard, he that's his bedroom. He that's his bedroom. I don't know if he's to picture a felon. He said he's been arrested and he was a juvenile. So >> Okay. Destin Max starting to write everybody down and maybe have a >> question. Yep. >> Who's that guy right there? >> Mario Green. He has the two warrants in the PC. >> And now I know who he is. The guy next to him. >> He's the one that I have the sale on. He came out. I don't know his name yet. I haven't talked to him. And then him and the one to the right. The brothers that look similar. The one I was talking to. >> Those are brothers. Those are the ones that came in. >> We don't know what name. >> Yeah. I haven't talked to him. I'm about to talk to the last guy. So >> yeah, cuz I I asked if everything in there is his. He said yes. But now apparently the wallet's not his. The wallet's his. He's telling me he's Tyrone Williams. >> Ty. Oh, Tyrone, the one with the gun found. >> This one here. He's telling me he's Tyrone. >> Is that where the gun was found with the paperwork? >> Oh, that I don't know. >> I think he just showed me one with Tyrone with a gun on it and a backpack. >> So, >> is that that guy there? >> Uh, they're brother. Uh, that might be that one. They're they're brothers, but he has his hair fluffed like that and he doesn't. So, I'm going to talk to him now then. I'll let you know. >> Sir, you want to come over here? >> Oh. Appreciate it. >> All right, man. What's your first name? >> Tyrell. >> Tyrell. Okay. What's your last name? >> Holmes. >> Holmes. Okay. Is that your brother? >> Mhm. >> He looks like you. Is it What's his name? >> Ty. >> Same name. >> No, not the same name. >> What's his last name? >> Holmes. Same last name. Not the same. >> So your name? So what's your name? >> Tyrell. >> Tyrell. And his is Tyrone. >> Yes. >> Okay. I'm just trying to make sure I've never met you before. Um, >> yours is Tyrell or Tyrell? >> Tyrell. >> Tyrell. Okay. Tyrell. Um, you and your brother, where you stay at? >> Nowhere. You >> stay nowhere. >> Mhm. >> How long you been staying here? Cuz they've already told me you stay here sometimes. >> Sometimes. Long. >> I get you. How long you been staying here? Sometimes. It's not a trick question. I'm just trying to see how long you been how long you been here. Cuz if there's stuff up here and you haven't been here in a while, then I'm not going to charge you with it. >> I ain't got no answer for you. >> You ain't got no answer for me? I don't even really have nothing to say to me. >> Okay. Do you want to You requesting an attorney? You don't want to talk to me? >> I want to go sit down. >> I get you. We're just talking. I'm just trying to figure out why you're here, why you're in handcuffs, and if if you're >> I'm trying to figure that out, too. >> Well, you don't You just said you don't want to talk to me. You just kind of >> Y'all just need to figure out what's going on. >> Okay. Tyrell, >> I don't want to talk to y'all. Took me to jail for some [ __ ] >> Took me to jail. >> Not you, but y'all run together. Look at y'all. All these masks on. They were the unit. You Hey, Tyrell. You sold me You sold me on the 13th last week. >> Talk, bro. >> Okay. Well, you're going to jail for for two felonies. Okay. So, you don't want to talk? Fine. And whatever's in the house, I'm going to charge you with it cuz you live here. So, >> that doesn't need >> Yep. You sold me drugs, you're going to jail. So, if you want talking about >> Yep. So, go over there. I'm done talking to you. >> Yep. Stop talking. Shut your mouth. Sit down. Sit down. >> Sit down. >> Yep. Sit down. >> Yep. Stop talking. Uh, I haven't talked to you yet. You mind standing up for me? >> Appreciate you. Tyrone, do you mind standing up for me? >> Need help? I got it. >> Appreciate you, man. Talk to your brother, Tyrone. Tyrone. >> No, I'm Tyrone. >> Tyrone. Tyrone. Okay. What's your last name again? >> Holmes. >> Holmes. Same as him. You guys are brothers. >> We brothers. >> Yeah. You guys are twins or one's older? >> Uh, you're older than >> You're older. Okay. Yeah, you guys look spitting image. So, >> yeah. >> Um, >> how long you been staying here? >> Um, honestly, I don't know. >> Couple weeks maybe. >> Yeah, probably like that. Yeah. >> Okay. Yeah. I don't know exactly. I was just wondering if you like just moved in. You've been here 10 years. You know what I'm saying? >> No. No. Been here. >> Um, so I've talked to every single person. I'm not like behind you. They all said they live here. Whether it's a long time or short time. >> Where do you stay at in the house? Cuz I need to know if there's something illegal. You know, you're not going to do it right now. >> I don't stay anywhere specifically. Yeah, I lay on the floor. >> So you're everywhere during the morning. >> You in the master bedroom? Are you in the living room? You know what I'm saying? >> I don't want to talk. >> Okay. You don't want to talk? >> I know. I stay on the floor. >> On the floor. Okay. So there's the whole floor of the apartment. I Anything in the apartment I'll charge you with. That's what I'm trying to see, man. Ty, >> I'm not trying. >> All right. I'll tell you. I don't know nothing. I don't even want to talk. >> You've been arrested before? >> No, I don't even want to talk to you. I know my rights, but I just don't want to talk. >> Well, you're getting charged with sale. You sold me drugs over there on the little green truck. That was me. Um, so you're getting a felony as well as a um paraphernalia, which is misdemeanor. >> You did. You and your brother did. It's on video. >> That's okay. >> Yep. The truck next to me was two cops recording it. So >> um you told me that's how we This is because you and your brother. >> All right, let's go sit down. >> Y sit down. >> With overwhelming evidence stacked up against them. The trio slowly realized that they hadn't just been caught. They had been victims of an undercover drug bust with no way out, regardless of how tough they tried to act. So, just to let you guys know, this whole thing is because of these two guys. So, um and him, but these three are responsible for this. So, if you're going to be mad at someone, be mad at them. Okay? You hang out with people that do stuff like this, this is what happens, okay? You got a pregnant lady here in handcuffs. So, you know, this is the only normal guy out of all them two are the only normal people. You guys just want to run your mouth. It's not tough. We're not impressed. We don't care. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Well, you're you're you're acting tough and we don't care. >> Even, bro. Y'all just pissed. I mean, all right, but >> get pissed off. You three are for sure going to jail. I've already told you your charges. >> We'll take you when we want to take you. You three are going to jail. Um, and obviously I don't think you're going and you three um, you know, not for sure, but I don't I don't think you're going to jail, but it's possible. You know what I'm saying? So, just sit tight. Ultimately, Kamari was charged with possession with intent to distribute use of mobile phone to commit a felony, while the trio were charged with sale of the controlled substance. Onto another intense case where we have Gabriel, who thought he had escaped the cops the first time while being totally unaware that the second run would end completely differently after he made the same move again. >> Told you we'd get you. What's up, Gabriel? >> On October the 5th, 2022, officers responded to an unverified tip about a possible narcotics deal that was potentially escalating out of control. The officers decided to raid and bring the suspect to book. But unbeknownst to them, the suspect had a plan B after seeing the cops. Hey hey Charlie Young. Seeing that the suspect had fled, the officers decided to abandon the pursuit, but did not abandon their duty to capture narcotics peddlers. Later, they deployed a K-9 unit, which would later help to uncover the mystery. The K-9 discovered the suspect's vehicle, which was towed to the police department for further investigation. Everything returned back to normal, but one thing the suspect failed to notice was that the cops were working behind the scenes. For two months, undercover officers had monitored his activities, and now it was time to set a trap for him. Thinking he would meet a buyer, he was greeted by cops. >> Hands up. Hands up. Hands up. >> Don't move. >> Told you we'd get you. >> What's up, Gabriel? >> Don't do it. Don't move. >> Don't do it, dude. >> You're going to get yourself hurt, man. over not a regular heartbeat with the family. >> What's up, Gabriel? >> Come here. Come on. >> Your car, dog. >> Let's go. >> You the girlfriend? >> Oh, it's my niece. >> It's your niece. Let me >> Let's go, man. >> It ain't worth it. >> Hey, not worth it. I don't know exactly how they're >> Don't try running, man. >> You think you're going to out? >> During the arrest, the cops found illegal items in the suspect's possession. However, after realizing that he had been caught and had no possible way to evade the officers like last time, he seemed to comply, thinking the officers would grant him some favors. But he was in for a shock. >> Can I talk to my niece real quick? >> We released her. She's not being charged right now. So, >> I know. I just want >> Well, we can let you make a phone call. Whoever you want to call when we get denials. >> She's just standing right here. Can I just >> She already left. Well, she's over here. But no, we can't we can't let you talk to her. I'm sorry. >> Even with you guys listening, recording. I know. I'm sorry. Just It's like policy. They don't want >> Can you ask her to call my brother? >> Yeah, I can call my girlfriend. >> Yeah. Your girlfriend and brother? >> Yeah. Yeah, for sure. >> For sure. >> You got a lock over here, bro. >> I have never knew that. Yeah. I never knew there was one back here. >> What the >> Are those all right? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Hey, is this your Cheetos? >> Those are hers. >> Hurse. Okay. You have any food in there? Donuts you want we can bring with you? Those are hers. >> No, nothing in there. >> Okay. Nothing. Okay. Okay, the red. Just the red bull. Okay. >> The suspect thought that his fake cooperation would warrant him some leniency from the officers, but he was very wrong. They always say karma is unforgiving. And now it was time to face the consequences of his actions. Let's go to however you want. >> Yeah, you can. Um, we're going to read you your rights. Uh, but I just got to get just basic information first. Your full name, last name, all that stuff. Okay. Uh, give me one second. We'll let you make phone calls. You can >> call them memorizer. You need to get them. >> All right. So statement rights. Before you answer any question or make any statements, you must fully understand your right. Number one, you have the right to remain silent. Number two, this is not admitting any guilt. This is nothing with guilt. Okay? And I'm even saying this is nothing admitting guilt. This is just us giving you your rights and you just advising that yes, we gave you your rights. Okay. >> You don't want to sign. Okay. I'll put refused. Okay. Refused. I'm going to sign. Okay. And my partner is going to sign, too. There's going to be charges from today from with your uh is that your niece in the car? Okay. Um for everything that was in that car. Okay. We charged on that. Um we may also go after your girlfriend because she was in the car from September. that September incident. We may also go after her because we've attempted to contact her and she refused to come in. She refused to get pick up the car. So, there may be charges with her. I don't know if she's is she like a medical student. Does she do anything in in the medical field? Are she a nurse or something or no? >> Oh, you don't have to. That's fine. >> After realizing the gravity of his situation, the suspect appeared to be deep in thought, realizing there was no way out other than letting the law follow its course. Why don't you call your lawyer? Tell him where you're at. Let him know what's going on. Tell him know what what happened. >> Um I'm sure he knows because he he talked to my partner. >> Your lawyer knows the charges, >> right? He talked to my partner three or four times >> and we suggested you come in and you didn't do that. So, um yeah, here if you want we'll uncuff you. We can um have his number and you can call him. Okay. >> I need you need a number. Okay. >> I'll be okay. You Are you okay in the contact people? >> Yeah, you can contact. We'll get you food. >> Finish. You can't bring that. Finish that. You can uh we'll get you food. You'll get food. So, we'll get you'll get breakfast and uh lunch and dinner. >> So, um I couldn't find a coffee. We can get He's going to get a meal. They're coming with food. >> They're coming with food. When they come, they'll give you a cup. All right. It shouldn't be long. >> You'll get You'll get food. Some to eat, some to drink. >> All right. In the end, the suspect was charged with fleeing, possession of paraphernalia, delivery of controlled substances, unlawful use of a weapon, and battery upon a police officer. Still on drug dealers realizing they sold to undercover cops is 27-year-old Patrick. He thought his operation inside the store was untouchable until the moment he realized the customers he'd been dealing with weren't real customers at all. >> Patrick, put your hands behind your back. In early 2023, detectives received a Crimes Stoppers tip regarding drug sales at the Treasure Coast Square Mall in Jensen Beach, Florida. The tip implicated a 27-year-old named Patrick, who decided to launch a side hustle within Zumi, a store where he worked. Patrick was selling hallucinogens and other unconventional items to customers of all ages, contrary to the store's approved merchandise. Undercover detectives engaged with Patrick, purchasing hallucinogenic mushrooms from him on two separate occasions. However, Patrick's booming enterprise would soon face a sudden downfall on September the 1st, 2023. Up, >> man. >> Patrick, how are you, buddy? >> What up, >> Patrick? We're going to be back. >> Explain everything in a second. Okay, >> you're set. Mine's double off. You got him. I got him >> here. He's my >> Hello. How are you? >> Where's his black backpack? >> What's up? >> He's got a black backpack. Is this his? >> This one's his. >> I'm just going to double lock these on you, okay? So they don't walk up on you. Okay. >> We'll win everything to you here in the middle. All right. Do >> you have anything in your pocket that's going to stick me, hurt me, anything like that? Oh, none of them else did. >> Do you uh Where's your black backpack at? >> My black backpack? >> Got it. >> Got it. >> The officers proceeded to search his backpack, which held many secrets. Their search revealed a plastic ziploc bag containing mushrooms that tested positive for psilocybin. Despite Patrick's calm demeanor, the gravity of the situation now was evident. >> Nothing else on your shoes. >> What's up? Uh, probably would. Yeah. He'll be able to make phone calls too when he gets to the office. >> Just walk out. >> Thank you. >> Oh, that's a show. You >> all right? All right. Guys, we're just going back to the office. >> Yeah. >> Can you pull a police service call for Zoo? He's white male 1015 51 to SID. >> He was transported to the police department for further questioning where he denied any involvement in drug sales. However, what he didn't anticipate was that the officers had all the evidence they needed to incriminate him. They had thoroughly done their homework to gather the evidence. >> What's your name, dude? >> That's right. >> You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a border of law. Obviously, we're here cuz you got yourself in a little bit of work. >> Mhm. >> All right. Do you have any idea that I don't know if anyone explained anything to you yet or anything? So months ago, we got complaints of you selling mushrooms, weed, just stuff to not only people coming in and out of the store, but also the juveniles. Okay. Does any of this ring a bell at all? >> No. >> You don't sell anything? >> Mhm. >> Nothing at all? >> No. >> Okay. Is that what you're going to stick with? >> Mhm. >> All right. So, you had a black bag with you today? >> Yes. >> Is that your back bag? >> Mhm. >> Do you know what was inside of it? >> Yeah. >> What was inside of it? key. There were mushrooms inside of that. >> Do you use mushrooms? >> Yes. >> How much mushrooms do you use at a time? >> Uh, I micro dose them usually, but about a grand >> now. What if I told you that we've been buying from you for a bit? >> Still, does any of this ring a bell? Like you've been selling, we've seen you, we've dealt with you. >> Okay. >> Do you want me to elaborate? Like refresh your mind a little? >> It's a little blurry. That's you in the store. >> Mhm. >> That's you during a deal that we did. >> Mhm. >> Okay. Do you have that outfit? >> I do. I just found it. >> Yeah. So, once again, that's you. We know for a fact you deal. >> So, do you do it to like help yourself with extra money, with financially, or help people out or what's the deal? >> Um, yeah. I just I don't do anything bad. Nothing that bad. So, >> and I'm not saying that you're a bad person, dude. >> We get it. Like, hey, you give a little here, take a little there. It's for extra money, right? What I'm trying to understand is number one, what the actual reason is for you to sell it. I'm not saying you're a bad dude. Like, you know, you don't look like Apollo Escobar. Like, are you? I might be confused. Does anyone at the store know that you do for extra money or >> No. >> No one else is involved with it. >> Mm-m. >> How much did you sell at a time, dude? >> Not much. >> What's not much? I mean, you had what? How much did you have with him? Anyone? How much do you have with him? >> 30 g. >> 30 g. >> 30 g. >> I mean, that's typically how much would you sell that for? >> Not much. >> What's not much? $160. >> Really? >> Mhm. >> That's a lot for $160. Like $160 is pretty cheap compared to what I thought an ounce of mushrooms would be. >> Partially for the money, but at the same time, mushrooms for a lot of people are medicine and they help a lot of people with a lot of issues. So, I don't really need too much money. So, >> how much would you get that for that? You could sell it for 160. >> How much would I get that for? >> Not much. >> What's that much? >> 50 60. >> At this point, realizing that he had been caught, he started to open up to the officers. However, he soon discovered that this was not going to earn him any leniency as he initially thought. >> How long have you been selling the mushrooms for? >> Like a year. >> So, you just started selling one the last two months at Zooies, but you've been selling it for a year overall >> about. >> Where do you typically get it from? >> Okay. >> Like locally, at the mall? >> Yeah, an old friend. >> Well, you don't seem like a bad dude, man. It's just one of those things where you got caught up. Yeah. >> How much uh mushrooms do you think this dude has that you usually get it from? >> He has I'm not sure. He usually has like chocolate bars, but it's mainly weed that I get from him, but I've stocked up a long time ago on mushrooms. So, that's why I kind of >> I used to used to take more myself, but after like a really bad trip, I didn't I stopped taking them as much. It was mainly for me at first. >> Mhm. >> Just to kind of stock up cuz they're hard to get. >> Yeah. The dude that you get at Port St. Lucy. >> Mhm. >> You said he has bars. >> Chocolate bars. >> The the stuff you had today wasn't chocolate bars. >> Oh, no. That's what I said. He usually has chocolate bars. I had done it a while ago. >> So that was from a while ago from that same guy. >> Yeah, those are pretty old. >> Okay. All right. Just give me a second. >> Dude, let me just ask you though. So obviously, not only do people, tourists, whatever, just come in and randomly ask you. >> Mhm. >> And you just kind of give it to them. What about like like kids like juveniles? >> Oh, no. >> You don't deal with juveniles? Cuz >> I try my best. I mean, I don't ID people, but >> like cuz the issue that like I said, the whole reason this started is because kids are getting banned. >> I've never sold mushrooms to kids. >> Well, juveniles. I mean, in the teenage years, I don't know if you'll be able to tell the difference. >> I mean, like I said, I don't I >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Have you ever had anyone tell you that they've had a really bad trip or anything off the stuff you gave them? >> No. >> Never. >> But you've had yourself first. >> Well, I took way too many. >> How much is way too many? Um, it was about 14 grams. >> You took a whole 14 grams just to ate them. >> Well, it's called I mean it's called I don't want to go in the whole specific. >> No, I'm curious. That's what you just learned. >> It's called lemon teching. Uh, basically if you grind up the mushrooms and put them in lemon juice, which is citric acid. Citric acid effect reacts to the psilocybin in the mushrooms, which um it makes it it basically doubles the dose, but it shortens the uh trip. So whereas the trip might you take 7 g, the trip might last 8 hours, if you limit 7 g, you're going to trip way harder, but it'll only be for like 2 3 hours. >> [ __ ] >> Yeah. >> So what do you do? Do you like shut everything off and kind of just meditate? >> Well, that time I um I did it com I was in a really bad place at the time. Um so I I did that. I did it in the dark in my bed and um you know I like time travel. It was it was scary. The officers raised the issue of selling to juveniles, but Patrick was not willing to admit to such allegations >> where someone can get to it or try or kit or anything like that. >> Your plans to ever do this again >> to sell and stuff like that? >> Yeah. >> After if I get out of this? No. This is my >> like you said, unfortunately the uh what really was the I don't want to say bread and butter cuz that sounds like a terrible way to put it. But the the most unfortunate part about this is that we were getting complaints that kids were getting hold of this and that kids were buying it. >> And when we say we say kids, but we people under 18 years old and you know just well as I do like it's hard to see like or tell old somebody is sometimes like that. That's why I'm very curious about it cuz most people I mean they're all seem to be adults to me. That's why I'm very confused. >> Yeah. >> Especially the mushrooms is I have a very even when friends of mine ask because I do have people know people are 18 and close. I tell them I do not give mushrooms to children. >> Yeah. How how tall are you? >> I'm 6'2. >> 62. How long have you been growing a beard? >> Um it's been a while. Six plus years. >> Yeah. Six plus years. How old are you? >> I'm 28. Turning 28. >> 28. Okay. So, I mean like when you were in when you were in high school, did you have fisher? >> Mhm. >> I have a fish. And >> no, I definitely understand. I definitely understand that. >> You probably you probably could walk into a gas station like pop beer. You know what I mean? >> The funny part is that when I was underage, I never got IDed. And as soon as I became of age, I got ID. >> Usually how it happens. >> Yeah. It was very, >> you know what I mean? Like it's it's hard. >> No, I definitely understand that. I will say I have been very advocate for with anybody who ever asked me that I do not give mushrooms. >> I I believe that I don't believe you because as somebody who like I said tripped too bad. I understand that it could severely mess up your mental state. >> Um >> yeah, like I said, we're not we're not saying you specifically went out and saw >> No, I listen for I did this. I fully understand the ramifications of my choices. I do. >> But however, if I could say one thing, I always made sure that mushrooms never went to kids. >> Of course. Of course. No, I I actually say, man, does uh like your trips when you go on a trip, is it like always the same or is it something different each time? >> I would say so. I've only that one time was the only time I ever saw anything that wasn't there. All the other times it's usually just, you know, things are just kind of moving and colors are moving. >> Like on that seven show kind of. >> Yeah, exactly. Like, you know, you look at your phone and everything's dancing around. It's usually pretty fun until you abuse it to the point where you take way too much. >> Like I said, I saw like crazy demon clowns and stuff that time travel, right? Like >> Despite his explanations, Patrick faced felony charges for drug possession, distribution, and unlawful communication with his bond set at $12,000.
