On May 29th, 2024, a vehicle owner took matters into her own hands by tracking her stolen car and confronting the thieves on the street. The situation escalated when the suspects drove the stolen automobile onto a city sidewalk and attempted to flee on foot. 22. There's an individual uh walking um up the boardwalk. Females over here >> wearing red pants in my car, >> black jacket. I was at work. I cracked my car down at home Vulcan and I had to flatten the the tires and I was had to chase them down. The girl ran that was driving. >> What she wearing? >> I'm wearing a jean jacket. No, she was wearing a Gum jacket. >> Black or white? >> She's black. She's short. >> I'm pissed off right now, y'all. So, I'm I apologize. This is This car is in my name. It is my car that I was at work. I'm still in the damn damn clock. I tracked my car. It was down on boat. Ma'am, I'm just trying to get the information real quick. >> I'm mad as hell. I'm >> So, which way did the female flee? >> That way. >> And if Yeah, do not bring her by me because I'm going to [ __ ] her up. I swear to God. >> I tracked my car. >> What the female tracked down the car? Where's my phone? >> It's a shorter female, black wearing a jean jacket. Jacket. Uh, she >> Yeah, my phone is right there. >> I got the car. The car was parked. >> The car was parked and I screenshot that. >> I am so [ __ ] mad right now. Like I am pissed off that I had to slam into my car to stop them. I flatten the tires. >> New Jersey registration. Yankee 18 Romeo Michael Foxtrot. Yankee 18 Romeo Michael Fox truck. New Jersey reg. That's the vehicle that was uh pissed the [ __ ] off right now. and um >> that it was a car full of when I first pulled up that it was her by herself. And that's when she pulled off, >> started flattening the tires and then I was chasing her that I had to crash into my own damn car to stop it and she came through here cuz I want to come down a damn walkway. Came through here and then it stopped. Jumped out. But I have a app so I tracked it. The thing was on >> Where did you come from? >> From work. I'm at work. I know like like what city, right? >> I was in T. >> Oh my god. >> And it took me 23 minutes to get to where my car was, >> which where did you find one? >> Oh my god. I screenshot. >> How did you guys get on the boardwalk? >> That it was on one of these streets by the water. >> And I'm so pissed off right now. >> I got it. >> Yes. It's a shorter female black with a jack. >> So basically what happened was she was at work all the way in T-neck. >> Her car was taken and she has like a GPS in her in this car. So she >> this is her vehicle. >> This is her vehicle too. >> She chased down like she literally came all the way from T-neck. They got on. She ended up finding the vehicle and then ended up here and actually deflating her tires so they wouldn't be able to go anywhere. And if they did steal her vehicle, the whole like passenger like it's it's completely like broken into >> anac store area. >> She said that they like fled down that way. That's it. That's all we got. >> And this happening today. this. >> We're directly right behind building uh where the construction site is with the gates right next to it. Right on the block. >> Well, he's coming over to you right now. >> Technically, yeah. And then she >> used her GPS to track the car. Yeah, she's by herself. You're by yourself, right? >> Okay. >> Where you at? Where you at? >> That other person that was walking, did you know? Did you Did you know her or you didn't know her? That person that was walking with the red pants? >> No. >> Okay. >> But that fat ass girl, if that >> is checking the area, she's heavy. >> Fat as hell. She's heavy set. She's fat as hell. She's short. She's I'm mad as hell right now. >> Does she have long hair and short hair? >> Short hair. I am so mad right now. >> I mean, you want you calm down a little bit? >> No, I'm trying to calm down cuz I left work and everything to track my damn. >> How long? >> Then I'm mad that car stolen or you just noticed that the car was just moving. >> No, I was at work. I'm doing 11:00 to 7:00 and like 12:30ish I did the uh checked my car car at >> and it said what is the street? It's it's it said like a S I one once one second because I think I screenshot it. >> So you haven't reported your car stolen yet? >> No. >> So was this car actually parked by your job when you were checking on it? >> What? This? >> No, this car. >> No, I drove this one to where you >> Where was the car taken from? >> This one should have been at my house when I left it there. >> Where? >> In Patterson 22. >> The vehicle has not yet been stolen. a while ago in Patterson. The vehicle was taken from Patterson and the owner of the vehicle tractor to Hoboken. >> You have a IA. >> Oh, she doesn't have an ID. >> Like it's like a Sentra drive or some [ __ ] like that. >> Oh, uh, that's like by like that's like borderline like Clifton P. No, it said S I N T R A drive and it said whole book and I used that and I drove here with that >> drive. Let me Sinatra Drive. >> Sinatra Drive. I was like >> Sinatra Drive. >> Man, what was your date of birth? >> Yeah, if I see that girl, I'm going to [ __ ] her up. >> What was your date of birth? >> Um 1590. >> So this these are both goods. >> 12. >> Okay. Phone number for you? 94 interesting 777 >> 1362 >> and your address. >> We have to get one of the smaller tow truck. We'll be able to get the smaller tow truck on this >> cuz she can't drive this car. >> Well, no off the tires. Oh, yeah. >> Who who um she did? >> I did. >> Oh, you did >> to stop it. And these the dummies were still driving like >> how did you put how did you deflate them >> with my stuff in here? And you would think these dummies had stopped. >> No, >> they were still in the car. >> I don't even cuz when they when they pull right there I didn't even know that this stopped cuz they they kept stopping the car. So I was slamming into my own damn [ __ ] car >> and like man right right up there stopped like before the building. A person hopped out. >> Okay. >> Then another one hopped out. Then this fatty. Oh my god. I'm a [ __ ] >> Hello man. >> Hi. How are you? >> I'm just addy. Just come on back. I'll back. >> And whose car is that then? >> Both of her cars. >> Both of them are yours. >> Yeah. >> So, she was at work and she noticed that on her the GPS, the tractor that car her this car was being moved while she was. >> Yeah. Chevy. >> And that it wasn't moving that it was unblocked that it was on Sinatra Drive. >> Uhhuh. >> And I'm like, what the [ __ ] So I sat there for a second for like 20 minutes and it was still there. So I put it into my car and I drove him back. >> Oh, >> no. From Tene. >> And where was this car parked? >> It was in front of my house. >> In Patterson. >> In Patterson. When was the last time you saw it parked? >> When I left at 11:00. And this is like the fourth. But this is like the fourth time something like this happened. >> And you I know it's a silly part, but do you know who the people were? The girl, she looks familiar. I know her name. >> That is why when I see her, >> I'm mad. Excuse me. Let me calm down for a second. I'm pissed off. >> How do you I know I know you're upset and all that stuff and it's a lot of questions are asking you, but we're just trying to gather the story >> from Patterson. I mean, I don't directly know her like >> of her. You seen her before in Patterson? Yeah. >> Does she live in your area? >> I don't know where she is. >> You know her name by James or >> Shiron? your last name. >> Hart Grove. >> Chiron Hart Grove. >> Hard Grove. >> She wearing a jean jacket. Right up now. I don't know what color her she got. >> Was she by herself or was she when she pulled right here? Somebody hopped out. Then when she got further, another person ho hopped out. She was the last. >> Oh, out of the car. You're saying? >> Not my car. That car. That one here. >> So there's what? Three people total. >> It was like three or three. >> I mean like >> Did you see it males, females? >> I couldn't tell. Everybody was wearing a hood at her. >> What was the name of her? >> Chiron. Chiron. Yeah. S H A I guess. >> Hard. I'm sorry. >> Hard room. >> Like hard. And then >> And the glove compartment is completely broken into. >> Man, you popped your own tires. >> I did. I didn't. >> And the glove compartment. >> I pushed it down. You you pulled >> Oh, she pulled that >> cuz my my thing right here, >> my app, it lets me get inside the car and all of that. Like I can unlock it, but it won't let me start. >> And you hit and you hit the car. >> Yeah, cuz they kept stopping the car. >> Right. This is me doing dumb [ __ ] You're the registered owner of both these >> cars. >> I did. >> They they had and it looked like we in there and they had um >> no weapons, no nothing like that. >> No, they they had keys and it ain't >> Is this ski mask yours? >> No, I don't. >> Did you touch anything in here? >> Let's not touch it. >> Yeah. Yeah. Here. But when I sat down, I took a um All right. Thank you. >> Yeah, these was in there. These are not >> on. She said she you put that down. >> Yeah, she is unbroke. So once you like can't get down, it's just just going to fall. >> All right. Yeah, she popped up. >> Keys in here. >> Like keys that got like >> mace. >> I cannot find my house keys. >> I think there's key. Sergeant, are those keys right there? Like >> right there. >> Where? >> In the middle. Right by the driver stick. Oh, no. that it just looks right. >> There's a key. It's not a key. >> Let me look at the key. >> No, >> that's not it. >> Mine's had No, mine's had a house key. >> So, you don't know what key that is? >> Do you mind if you check the vehicle? >> You mind if we search the vehicle? No guns, no nothing. >> What's that? >> You don't have to have to. >> Okay. >> You trying to find my house? >> Uh, sorry. You want me to press your hand through there? >> But tell them to bring the smaller truck >> so we can get it onto the boardwalk. >> Can they um Can I pay them to tow it home? >> You're going to have to call what is there? There's a few here. >> If you want if you want to tow to a specific place, >> you're going to have to tow it >> and pay for it yourself. >> Right. Right. >> So, but as I'm saying, they're going to come and tow it regardless. But if you want it to be towed somewhere, you're going to be that the one that's going to have to call them and let them know where it's going to go. They're going to want payment and all that stuff. >> Right. >> So, um what is the tow what tower? >> So, we'll we'll we'll get the phone number for them and we'll call this annoying. You said this is the fourth time. >> Like during the since since I got this this car like in 2022, >> the fourth time it's been stolen. >> Like literally, >> but the last time the car got got stolen, they done told me to download the app. So I did. So now um it is registered. So when it get missing, I could track it. >> Do you have issues with this girl, >> Matt? >> Tell me. >> I know I'm from Person, but nothing that like personal like she doesn't want to cause harm to you. You can't cause no harm to me. >> I don't know that girl in but mine is a problem now. >> MBA invest for a stolen car. >> You want me to do the >> Do you have the insurance info for both cars? My whole bag is that one should be in there. >> The insurance should be in the and insurance and registration should be in the vehicle. So, >> if you want to double check that. >> Yeah. >> I mean, we can put it. It's her car. Do you want to Do you want to go through your insurance or you going to hand this on your own? >> No, I'm going to do it on my own. >> All right. So, we're going to do >> We're going to document it as a as a as a a theft and a accident, but we're going to put nonreportable for the accident since it's your car. You got a fish on your own. >> Let me look them out. I got >> Hey, where? Let me get that. >> No map. >> I know we're hitting you with a lot of questions right now. When you hit your vehicle, where was like where did you actually go? Was it here or was it like on it was on the main road cuz it was two guys walking and they asked me, "Was I okay?" I said, "Yes." And it was on a main road. It was like near here cuz we was coming down and then they made a a right and then they made a left into here cuz we was near. They kept breaking and then I bumped into they must have came over. We came from there because when we was coming down and when they stopped I bump into it because you know how they have those spots like before turning point the they have like uh handicap spots and everything right there. They probably got on around there. >> Gotcha. So we're putting this on the I'm about to check to see if there's cameras back here. >> I saw a concier guy working so he may have access to my cooworker back here. >> 108 >> 108. >> All right. just let us know what uh tow it is cuz uh the female here, she's going to have to call them and uh she wants to have it towed to a private uh residence. >> We're still reaching out for someone who has the capability thingy. >> Oh, wait. My phone's in the car. >> I think she works somewhere over here. How how confident are you that this is the person that that was in the car? >> One second. Yeah, we won't. >> Is your job in Hoboken? >> Yeah. During cuz I might need to get the car towed to you to your job. It got flat tires cuz I'm at work. I'm still on the clock and I need um to get the tires fixed too cuz sitting it all the way back home. sitting it all the way back home is going to be a lot and then I'm going to have to get it. Girl, I'mma tell you um soon when I'm done. I'm I'm making a police report about to speak to a towing company and see how much they they going to charge. >> So I don't get a to um you know any auto body shops or anything like that. >> See, cuz nobody going to be No, nobody's going to be there to like show them. You know what I'm saying? or if I get it. Let me call an address cuz I need somebody to go cuz I I'm I'm still on the clock. >> Okay. >> So, I'm going to call you soon when I'm done there. >> Okay. >> And then whenever you get a chance to have your an updated insurance for both vehicles. >> Okay. This not updated? >> No, it's expired a month ago. >> No, it's a paper. This got to be old then. >> I believe it was it was either 423 or 42. >> Both tags are valid, right? Okay. All right. >> 36. >> Uh, that's for dis. >> Yeah, that's for >> 36. Columbus. We're going to be checking on one now. >> Hey, Bianca, they got anything. Of >> course. 103 for the space building. The cameras are currently down. We're going to make our way. See if we have other cameras available. >> So, this is just so I have your story straight. You're in T- neck at your job. What made you look at your car? Did you get >> I always look at it? I always look at >> So, you just randomly looked at it and saw that, oh [ __ ] it's not where I parked it. >> Always. Like, always, cuz it be >> So, when you were in Tene, you saw that the car was in Hoboken? >> Yeah. on Sinatra, whatever drive. >> What time was that? >> When I first seen it, it was like 12:20 something. >> 12:2 >> and then I left my job like 12:40 cuz I gave it like 20 20 minutes like is this thing bugging? Then I redid it and it was still here. >> All right. So 12:20 you first realized 12:40 you left your job. What time did you get into see the car? >> I don't even remember. It took me It was 23 minutes. My thing said when I pulled off to get here. So around 1:00 a.m. >> Yeah. >> Around 1:00 a.m. you saw where >> it was by by where where it was >> on Sinatra Drive. You know where though? Like >> the you know the skate park and all >> I don't know nothing about you see it was >> trying to think um the soccer field. Did you pass the soccer field on your right hand side like where on Sata Drive? >> I just seen the water >> that I just seen something like like this and it was like the cars parked like right here. >> That's where it was more like the center by the handicap. >> Yeah. It was probably by the uh >> right before the skate park. >> Yeah. >> All right. >> And and it was cars parked there. >> So is it like it like curved around a bend and came to a traffic light at the end of the other end? >> See? No. Cuz when I came up I came up that that way the car was right there. I remember smash that one. Smash that one. She was trying to drive a girl boy. whoever that was with the hood on. >> I did the next. >> So, it was parked and then they hopped in. >> Was trying to Yeah. When they was trying to >> There's a parking lot right across the street. >> I had my phone that would have gained access. >> I had to go on this building. They have any cameras back. >> Oh, no. See, and that's the thing with it like >> that it would just >> show me like like I'm now like >> where it is now. >> They won't show you the history. >> No. And that's where it should, but it would just like show like we are here. >> Okay. >> So that it wouldn't let me drive to it. But >> also ma'am, a couple more questions. Do you have both keys to your vehicle? >> No. But I was looking for that one. >> Well, the key did you have in your home or? >> Yeah, it's two sets. >> Both of them are at home. >> Oh, one of them one is home cuz the other one I lost it. >> How long did you use it? They probably use the key then, right? Cuz you can't get so far with a push start without a key. Let it cut off eventually. >> I have no idea. >> No, once it's started, you can run. >> But but you have to get it started. So the only way to start the key has to leave the car. >> Yeah. Or near the car. Yeah. >> If you want to try and start it real quick, see if the keys in there. 379 86 >> So the key is not in the car. >> And that was had to be like my dude come in so we could try and find out >> the camera >> a week before that >> around. >> So about almost two weeks ago. >> Probably like a week ago. You lost your key >> because it cuz I had to look for my second pier and then I finally found it. But I don't really drive that one unless >> I'm like going like a far drive. So I don't got to put miles on this cuz I don't really drive it. It's normally in front of my house. >> Did you Did you report your keys missing or lost? >> No. >> No. >> Or I let my sister drive it or something but I don't really drive. >> Does anybody else have access to any of the keys? my sister, but she at work and she only get it if like she acts to borrow and I give it to her. >> Gotcha. >> But you know for a fact all the set is at home right now. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. How do you know that? >> It got to be. >> Do you know that for a fact or >> if I go home and see it? But it should be. >> And then in this whole fiasco at no point you contacted the police. >> No. That I was under mission. So when I seen seen that I drove like it happened like 1 2 3. Got >> I seen it. I left work 20 minutes. I drove drove here 23 minutes. I seen them. We doing this whole little then they stopped here. Then now I'm here. Okay. All right. >> Now you you got a good look at the girl and that's how you know her. >> I see her fat ass. Sorry. I seen that girl cuz that was the only one I seen cuz the people she was with was wear hood. She was the one just wearing a um like a jean jacket. >> Mhm. Did it have anything like specific on it like a design? Anything like that? >> I didn't see. I just just just seen jeans. >> It have What about her hair? >> That it was just out and I think it was like a color cuz it wasn't black. >> Straight down. Yeah. Straight down. And it was like a color. >> Okay. >> 334. >> We spoke to the >> trying to get on the phone, but he gave us information. If anything, you can probably >> reverse it out >> onto the street. >> I just don't want to cause any more damage. >> Well, she would have to do it. >> That's what I'm saying. >> They after they drove they drove that thing, it was no literally you could smell a burn. >> It was It's nothing >> because you could slow roll it down the down the >> Yeah. >> What was the other we had? >> New Jersey. >> Okay. All right. All right. So did ask for the number so she can call >> phone number. >> Oh, you send. All right. All right. So we have the tow company. So call call them. Let them know that you're the one in Hoboken. >> Just my partner send it to me now. It's going to be one moment. >> And that you want Do you know the address where you want to tow to? >> Yeah. I'm trying to see right now >> cuz they're going to ask that and they're going to give you a price and all that. >> Right. >> I have it whenever you're ready. And then just so you know, the windows are rolled down. So if you don't have uh if you push the button, will it let you roll the windows back up? Sure. >> You need the key to do that, too? Probably. >> I think so. >> Yeah. You don't need the key to do that. >> Cuz if you just lose the window down in the middle of nowhere, right? >> You never know. >> When it's beeping, try and roll the window up. >> It's fine. 11. Yeah. >> Why is it saying use transmitter pocket to start? What does that mean? >> Maybe the like the actual key like a >> Yeah. >> Oh, >> yeah. This thing I don't really >> Also, did you go through your vehicle? Did they steal anything? >> I know. I I literally don't have nothing in this car besides chargers and the >> As far as you know, everything there's nothing missing. Yeah, nothing is in it. Two be missing. But this is a [ __ ] up night. Hold on. I got to call my co coworker back. >> Hello. >> Hey babe. What's up? Uh >> she may be with two other people. Two other people. Uh, she said the hair was covered for the most part, but it might be like a color. >> No, it was down. It was straight down like brownish cuz it wasn't black. Like brownish black. >> Um, how long would you say? >> Probably like to her shoulders. >> To her shoulders possibly. They got someone messing fish. Stop them. >> They're keeping an eye on him. She's going to send me a quick picture. >> Well, no, we can't do that. They got to stop. >> You want me to head over there and >> the person is with somebody? >> They're going to stop. They're going to do the stop. But you want >> Yeah, they got to stop. But then how confident are you in identifying the person? >> Oh, I can identify you >> 100%. >> 100%. >> Real quick. Okay, >> cuz there's three of them, too. So, >> three of them. >> So, the stop we're going to do what's called the show up over there. Let's turn off your car. Take your keys with you cuz we're going to transport over one of our patrol cars. Okay. >> Okay. I am so mad right now. Hotel with a female match. >> Oh my god. If it's that girl, >> listen, it may or may not be. You have to explain. We have something that may match the description. It may or may not be that person. Okay. >> If it's her, oh my god, y'all. I don't even want to see if it's her cuz I really want to punch her. >> I know, but we can't obviously we can't do that. >> I know. I know. I am. >> We're looking for her. I'll be honest with you. >> Did uh Did you have any altercation with anybody over a vehicle or anything like that? >> No, I didn't. >> Over by the pier. >> Me? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> I'm just saying visually, I mean, they said a a darker skinned female wearing a jean jacket. So, you're you're matching that description, which is why we're approaching you right now to speak to you. >> Um >> you didn't have altercation. You didn't have any altercation with anybody over a vehicle, anything by the waterfront? Anybody approach you like arguing with you over anything? >> No. >> Okay. Where do you live? >> In Patterson. >> In Patterson. >> Mhm. >> Okay. And you came down here solo or are you with here? Are you here with people? >> Myself. >> You're by yourself? Okay. Do you know anybody in the area? >> No. >> I come here every summer. >> Okay. You came down here how? In a vehicle or >> in an Uber. >> In an Uber. All right. So, where you heading now? I'm going back. >> Okay. Do you have any ID or anything on you that I can verify exactly who you are? You don't mind. >> Thank you. I'm just going to take down your information just to say that I'm speaking with you. Um, like I said, it's just it's a very vague description, but you just so happen to be one of the only ones down here like get into altercation with anyone. Mom, can you use a pen real quick? >> 36 with 20. So, um, typically how >> typically how it's going to go spot, >> we'll have the lights come on and we'll have the victim who's claiming, you know, gave out our description. She'll take a look at you and pretty much say yes or no. >> Okay. >> All right. Like she said, there's not many people out. You match the description, so we just have to stop you. That's it. >> Okay. Just keep your hands out your bucket, please. >> Thank you. >> Move our car first before we transform up. So, we get this other car out of here. What was that again? Let's have her move her car. Okay. All right. Like he explained to you, I mean, >> it could just be a complete mix up and just complete coincidentalness that you're the only one out here, but uh >> but I mean, it'll be it'll be >> okay. How long have you been in the area? Just wondering. >> About an hour. Do you know which pier you were by when you were by the pier? >> I'm not pier in the summer, but I'm not really familiar with, you know, like >> Yeah. >> What direction were you walking in? >> I was walking back and forth. >> Okay. >> Go basically coming from up going down. >> Yeah. like similarly there, but she works with people. >> Okay. >> What does she do? >> She's the chief operator. >> What's that? Like a like behind a desk basically? >> She's Yeah, she's Okay, let's go. >> Oh, dispatching. Have you ever been arrested or anything like that before in past or anything like that? Okay. Absolutely. Just curious. Absolutely not. Sorry. >> They're bringing her up. Heat up here. No. Yeah, that's Yeah, you can answer the phone. That's yours. >> Yeah. Yeah, I'm just waiting for the victim to come and identify. Huh? I guess And there'd be no reason why this victim would come around and say that she that you are the person that she saw or that you had anything with anyone today and Nothing with a car, taking a car that doesn't necessarily belong to you or anything like that? >> No. >> Okay. I haven't owned a car for 20 years. >> Okay. >> Like I said, the next part's going to go fairly quick. They do a driveby pretty much. She just looks up and down, says whether that's the person that she was involved with or not. >> Mhm. Like I said, the the description itself was just a relatively dark-skinned female, short with a jean jacket on. And and we come by and we see somebody who matches relatively the description. So that's why you're being stopped at this point. Not that this is the case, but did you have any issues with anybody in the past or anything that somebody may be trying to peg something on you or anything like that? >> I mean, I've had an altercation in the past, but not today. >> Okay. >> Something where you think somebody might try to say something about you. >> The guy that I was dealing with, his >> baby mama, right? >> Okay. >> So, >> but today I haven't had >> Has she ever done something like that where she's accused you of anything or >> All right. Not that I'm saying that's what's happening now. I'm just >> throwing scenarios. >> I have gotten threats about a few weeks ago though saying if you going to come to my house and everything, but I don't see how she would see that I'm in Hoboken. Like how would you know that? >> We did you post anything on social media? >> No. >> So, >> but those threats like the I'mma be at your house and stuff, have you reported that like to Patterson PD? >> No. >> Do you think she'll actually follow through with anything? >> No. >> Okay. That's why I haven't. >> But if you know that I'm in Hoboken, that's that's weird as hell. >> Like, how would you how would you know that? >> Yeah, it can't be her.
