I've never cheated on this girl. I don't don't do anything wrong. I go to work, come home. So, what's the problem with me having my son and going somewhere, but it's such a control issue with her? >> And there's recently deleted apps every day. Punching the shower floor, he rips the shower door off the hinges, starts screaming in my face, I'm a stupid dumb and like our kids are seeing all of this happen. >> If you don't have anything to hide, let me see it. On June 6th, 2026, officers responded to a residence after a man attempted to take his young child from the home without the mother's permission during a heated argument and struck a cup of coffee from her hand when she tried to stop him. I'm Jack and this is unpopular. >> Hello there. >> Hey, he's not He's inside. I don't know what he's doing. He did just burn tires in the driveway. >> Where's your kid at? >> My son's upstairs. My nanny's upstairs. Are you Jacob? Blankenship. >> I am. >> Okay. We went to school together with Autumn. >> Hey, Autumn. >> Hey, how are you? >> What's his name? >> Um, Justin Hunicker. >> Do you know where he is in the house? >> I don't. Do you want me to try to go get him? >> No. Is he not right here? >> Hey, Justin. >> What's up? [snorts] >> Hey, what's up? >> We need to We need to talk. >> Okay, let's go. >> Okay, step over here. >> No, let's step out here. I don't want to be opened in the air, sir. And it's not y'all. Go ahead. Go ahead. But I know y'all scared. >> Okay. >> I'm just going to figure out what's going on. What's inside that you're worried about, Justin? What? >> You said, "Let's talk out here open in the air." >> Yes, sir. I'm very, very mad. So, I don't like to be in a restricted area. >> Okay. All right. Justin, I'm going to talk to you over here. Okay. Not going to run on me. You're not going to fight on me, right? >> So, we're here cuz 911 is called. >> There are allegations that have been made. So, we show up >> and we investigate. Yes, sir. >> That's all it is. >> But I put you in handcuffs. >> I understand. And I'm standing in front of you with a gun and a badge. >> I know. >> So, I'm going to read you this. >> What am I being detained for? Cuz you read my rights, I know what's going next. So, what am I getting? >> Well, just because I read you your rights. So, this is your right not to incriminate yourself. >> We're just investigating. And I'm want to make sure that you remember your rights because I have placed you into handcuffs. And I can see that a reasonable person might believe, oh my god, I'm under arrest and I'm going to jail. >> All this works. I'm >> You started connecting those dots. So, I want to go ahead and tell you if you go in a handgun, it doesn't mean you're going to jail. >> Okay. At any time until you talk to a lawyer. >> So, Justin, what happened? What's going on today? >> Woke up about 7:30 for like a week straight. Just cannot get along. Staying at my mom's house, coming back and forth. Last night, we resolved everything, you know, to an extent. We, hey, we can work on this. We can make this work. We're in a good state. Woke up about 7:30 this morning. My head was me. Absolutely me. probably from the stress that I've had all week. >> Okay. >> Go lay in the shower. I lay in the shower for probably 2 or 3 hours. Last night, someone was calling me from a no caller ID number. I have no clue who it is. Hell, I have no clue. I haven't done anything. I work. I've never cheated on this girl. I don't don't do anything wrong. I go to work, come home. >> Okay. >> I've dealt with insecurities this whole time, man. You know, so as soon as that happened, she said, you know, leave. We're not together. Blah blah blah. That's fine. Okay. But that is my son. He is going to stay here with the babysitter. She's going to work. So, what's the problem we may have in my son and going somewhere? But it's such a control issue with her, >> right? >> Right. So, she's got control. >> Let's get some basics in place and we'll start thinking through that. So, are y'all married? >> No. >> Uh were y'all married when you had him? >> No, we've never been married. >> Have you ever uh gotten your rights for the child? >> No. >> Okay. So, >> so she's playing the power game. You see? I mean, we have to play the cards. We have good. So, if you take these off, I'll leave. I'll leave. I won't come. >> I got you, brother. So, uh, so as of right now, she has full custody of the child, right? So, >> I know how this go. Come on. >> Hey, I'm still talking to you, Justin. I It doesn't mean that you're going to jail. I just I want to understand what happened before we got here. >> I told you and you telling me what's going on. We all know how this goes, man. >> I don't know. You got a crystal ball cuz I don't I don't know how this is going to go. >> All right. >> And you may be, "Hey, Justin, >> I need to stay over here and talk to you, okay? You're clearly upset. Have you Have you had this situation before?" Hey, but we go through this all the time. All the time. All the time. >> Well, hey, I'm, you know, I'm sympathetic to that. That'd be very frustrating. And I can see how it would be defeated. But I don't know you. This is the first time for me. So, I wanted to give everybody the benefit of the doubt and do my job. And if those cuffs are going to come off, I'm going to take them right off. Understand? >> Okay. >> Okay. Do you live here? >> Mhm. Someone do. >> Okay. Someone do. >> Where's your main place where you live? >> I get kicked out all the time. So, I really honestly couldn't tell. >> Cuz you're kind of couch surfing. >> Well, no. I either stay here or my mom's house. >> Okay. How long have you lived here? >> 3 years. >> Okay. Talk to me about what happened when you were having a What was her name? >> Autumn. >> Autumn. So, what happened this morning with Autumn? What? There was like a verbal disagreement. How did it escalate to the point where the police were called? >> Uh, when I walked out of that door with my son. >> Okay. You were going to take your son and spend the day with him, >> right? Cuz she's going to work and the babysitter's here. So, what's the problem with me having my son? >> Okay. But it really boils down to I will not show her my phone. So, or she's went through the whole phone. Hell, there's nothing. She wants me to come up with an answer of who's calling me and I have no answer for that. >> Okay. So, there there's a different argument that happened. She thought >> this is all about. Yeah. This is what the my phone. Somebody called me from private last night. I have no clue who it is. >> You wanted to leave and you wanted to get away from this situation. >> I wanted Right. Correct. I wanted to take my son. >> And then you wanted to take your son with you and spend the day with him. Okay. Right. >> And she didn't want you to take your son. >> Okay. I got you. All right. So, and then you you put them in. This is your truck right here. >> Yeah. Well, it's in her name. Everything's in her name. Yeah. You see? So, she's got it. It's good. So, if she needs me to walk from here, I'll walk whatever I need to do. >> So, nice boo. I'm going to be a long walk. How far is your mama's >> restaurant? >> That's a long walk, Justin. >> That's all good. >> All right. So, what's your son? >> The truck. And you were going to leave with them. And she >> didn't want you to go the whole time. >> She mentioned something about you you burning out in the driveway. I saw your tires look pretty slick, pretty fresh. What happened? She took the son my son from me and I did I did a burnout right there. >> Okay. Just had to get your frustration out. >> Yeah. I'm mad, man. >> Yeah. Where were they when you did that? Right. >> She done put him inside the house. Take my son, you know. >> Hey, Justin. I'm going to have you hang out here with this officer right here for me. Okay. Uh I was just clarifying some basics. So, you have full custodial rights over Archer >> and Vander. >> Okay. Hey, we can we can swap places that way. You're not blind. How long has he been living here? Um, I bought the house in October of 2023. So, pretty much since I bought the house. >> Okay. Just be standing here with you guys. >> Yeah, cuz I was >> I got you. Uh, what started the fight this morning? >> Last night he had a call that came in from like a no- caller ID and I thought that was really weird and I answered it and I said, "Hello." They hung up and I was like, "Okay." I was like, "Who called you?" And he's like, "I don't know. I don't know. I don't know." But we've had a history of like not being honest in the past. So then I thought this morning I was like, he's laying in the shower floor area like from whatever hangover he has. And I'm trying to give him Tylenol, trying to bring him body armor, whatever. And I was like, I'm just going to look at his recently deleted apps and just see if there's anything on there because all of this is in my name. This truck is in my name, that truck is in my name, this house is in my name, everything's in my name. >> And I'm like going through it and there's recently deleted apps every day of this week. And I'm like, okay. And he's on there for like hours at a time, you know? So I'm like, "Okay, can you tell me what apps you've been deleting?" And he just like loses it. Loses it. Starts screaming at me, punching the shower floor. He rips the shower door off the hinges, starts screaming in my face. I'm a stupid dumb. I mean, over and over and over and over. Loud and I'm like just very aggressive. And so I just kind of remove myself. He calls his mom. He's like, "Come get me. She's crazy." You know, just like all these things, all these things. Then he goes to leave and he I I hear him. you cannot take him because he's like in a manic state like do not take him. And I come downstairs and I have my coffee in my hand and he slaps my coffee out of my hand and it just goes everywhere. Breaks a coffee mug and that's when I call y'all. >> All right. Um >> but that's not the first. >> Yeah. Do you have any prior court orders in place? [clears throat] Nothing like that. >> When he grabbed your son >> Mhm. >> you told him that he has no rights over the child. You have the main rights. >> I didn't say any of that. I just said put him down. >> Yeah. So he he wanted to take him. He said, "Put him down. You're not giving him permission to take your son away from you or this house." >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> And then he put him in the car and he was like, "Call the cops. Tell him to get me. I don't give a Then he like backed the car out a little bit. I don't know how you blow smoke with a diesel, but he blew smoke everywhere and there's skid marks in the driveway. Like you can see that." Yeah. And he's like, "Tell him to come get me. I'm going to park this in the middle of Shorter Avenue, which you can probably hear all this on the D dispatch call." And he just like like man like like manic. I don't know how else to describe it. And I'm just standing here trying to >> uh what room in the house did he slap the mug out of your hand? >> In the garage. >> In the right down here. It'd be okay if I went and looked. >> Mhm. Yeah. I mean, he grabbed the mug and cuz he knew y'all were coming and he threw it in the woods over there. >> Officers learned the two were never married and that the woman had full legal custody of the child, meaning the man had no legal right to take him without her permission. >> Yeah. Right across here in the woods. >> Um over the privacy fence. >> Over the privacy fence >> like way out there. This is coffee. >> Okay. >> This is coffee. Like I was standing right here and he slapped it out of my hand. >> You were not wrong. That was definitely coffee and creamer. Okay. Uh do you know best of your knowledge? Has he had anything to drink or taken any this morning or last night? >> Last night. Yes. A lot. I have no idea what all he did. I do know he's drinking. I do know he's on Adderall. I do know he's been smoking weed. He gets like these cratom tablets from the gas station. >> Okay. >> Those are not good at combined with meds or alcohol. >> Yeah. I'm not sure like what all >> did he already have Archer in the truck when you called 911? >> Mhm. >> So, dispatch wouldn't have heard that. >> All we have cameras. We have camera footage, but it's on his phone. >> All right. Hey, Justin. I promise we're figuring it out. It just takes a while. Emotions are high. You get it? Especially when it comes to our kids, right? >> Sure. Absolutely. >> Uh during the argument that you were having with uh Autumn, >> did you slap a mug of coffee out of her hand? >> No, sir. I never touched her swing there. I was moving away from her the whole time with my child. My >> child. Why is your coffee all over the basement? >> I have no clue. You want to ask me about that broken window up there and ask me how it happened. >> Sure. >> Okay. Sure. Threw her cell phone through it. Like I mean, man, you have no clue what I'm dealing with. So, I don't know what the up with coffee in the floor. I hadn't had no coffee this morning. I promise you that. I'll be a lot perkier than this. >> Okay. So, she's saying that you guys were having your argument, right? And that she had her coffee and that you were getting angry about the situation. >> That is true. >> And that you smacked the coffee out of her hand. That's why it's all over the floor. And then that you threw the mug away. >> Okay. >> Did I mean, did that happen? Just be straight with me, man. >> And even if it did, is that a >> You know what I'm saying? Like, is that why over spilled coffee? >> No. I ain't done. >> I'm done. You're right. I'm done. I'm done. >> You're right. You have you have no obligation to talk to me if you don't want to. >> Thank you, sir. >> All right, Justin, let's go ahead and go then. I'll walk you down. >> What am I being arrested for? >> Here, let me get you around this rock and let's walk down. I'll talk to you. I don't want to fall. We're going to go to the back real quick and I'm just going to check your pockets and then you're going in this car here. Okay. >> Yes, sir. So, one's going to be for the interference and custody. Uh, she has full custody. If she tells you no, then you cannot take that child with you. >> The house. >> So you took your child. Well, I mean, you still want to talk to me. You said that you didn't want to talk to me, but I'm willing to talk to you about as you meant >> to the sergeant. Okay. Well, here. Let me get you in the car real quick and then I'll roll the window down and get the AC started. You turn around, sit down, and then I'll get that window open for you. She said there's probably in the car and she has consent to to the search. Let's do that. >> The woman showed officers phone video from a prior confrontation days earlier in which the man could be heard yelling and refusing to hand over the child and said she had dozens of similar recordings which officers instructed her to submit as evidence. Get the away from me, dude. That's what get the out of my way, man. Please get out of there. >> And like our kids are seeing all this happen. >> And that was Wednesday. >> That was Wednesday. >> I have one from this morning. >> You can tell me what apps you're deleting. I want you to tell me what apps you're deleting. >> I told you. >> Let me see your phone. I can look at that check. Let me see your phone. If you don't have anything to hide, let me see it. >> I don't think you want. >> Let me see it. You're not taking What do you want? What do you want me to do with >> achieve just like I said your [ __ ] Let's calm down. Okay. >> You're not taking him. You're not taking him. >> That's the I was going to say that was the coffee. >> Is this a video or recording? I got you. >> And there's like 50 others of those that I have. >> I [snorts] got you. Um, I'm going to send you, it's called a community request. Um, it's how we collect evidence. So, I'll send you a link and you just follow that link and upload whatever you want to that. That'll be part of the evidence for this case. For today, I'm going to take him to jail for interference with custody and simple battery. >> Okay. >> Okay. Anything else we can do before we go? >> No. >> Okay. Let me make sure I got a good phone number for you. >> You didn't find anything? >> No, just his medication. >> And you didn't pull that. Could you pull that middle? Not the middle console, but like up under the cup holders. >> You pull up. Yeah. >> Oh, that's right. Yeah, there there'll be a >> like you can pull that whole compartment up. I saw him do it the other day. >> Nice. Watch your number for you. Do one more look through there and then I'll go and transport it. >> Some Agatha Christie nonsense. Are you the only registered owner? >> Mhm. >> Okay. Well, then uh I would not give him the keys back. >> Yeah. >> Or communicate any expectation that he's allowed to use it anymore >> if that's what you want to do. Let me go ahead and transport. That's the block with it. Okay. >> Okay. >> My phone, my wallet. >> They're in the back with your They're going in with you. >> They might be charged. Can you tell me that now? >> Yes, sir. Interference with custody. >> Sir, I didn't. That's what I understand. If I left, I would understand that. So, that's fine. So, grabbing them and taking them against her will, putting them in the truck is is still the same. >> Okay, man. I got you. You have your day in court. That's totally fine, man. Hey, Justin. A quick question before we go in. Uh, an officer found some Adderall and Zens and she uh Autumn said she use Zen. Are you prescribed aderall? Is that yours? No, >> but I do. I mean, I Zen. I do, but I don't. I got you. Is that your aderall? >> Not that I'm aware of. You know, so I don't take Adderall. So, >> is there a reason why Aderall would be in your Zen? >> I don't know. Maybe some reason the coffee's on the floor. >> Help me connect the dots, man. I'm not playing stupid. I just, you know, I This is a hard situation. You >> I don't know why any of that's in there. I don't know why, man. I was trying to leave with my son. That's it. I'm not trying to cause no problems. So, the coffee, the aderall, windows broken, like >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. spinning out in the truck being I did do that. I I told the other officer I told I told him I did. I said after she took the my son away from me, I was going to leave solo and so I did a burnout and then I went back in and said, "No, I'm not leaving. I'm not I'm not leaving without my son." Never left though. Never left that driveway. Never left that driveway. So that's fine. I mean, you know, like >> I [clears throat] I'm I'm want to argue with you in the Sally Port and I'll give you the dignity and respect not to do that, but Justin, just letting know you don't have to leave the property for it to still violate that statute. Okay? It's it's interference with that custody. And that's that's the crux of the situation. That's why we're here right now and why we're doing all that. Here, let me get you out so this guy can get rolling. You'll step to this light right there. After finding a broken coffee mug matching the woman's account and reviewing her statement and video evidence, officers arrested the man.
