From Officer Scavone, who was shamelessly a female suspect. >> Have her pull away from me. >> [screaming] >> WHAT ELSE YOU GOT? READ YOUR ANYTHING WHILE I'M TALKING TO YOU. >> [screaming] >> TO OFFICER ZIELINSKI, CAUGHT STEALING a lady's underwear. Here are several moments when shameless cops thought no one was watching, only to be caught by the unblinking eye of a camera. [music] Starting with this cocky captain who had been harassing a family for months because he was convinced that he [music] would never be held accountable until everything was finally captured on camera. >> Sir, listen. >> I'm listening to you. I'm tired of listening to you. >> Okay. Just so you know. >> You have pulled me over for 3 months now for the same bull that ain't even there. >> Can you show 23 23%? >> I said 50% or more. >> I don't have to call my supervisor. I am a captain [music] here. I don't have to give you my badge number by state law. >> In Higginsport, Ohio, a family was pulled over by an officer who had allegedly harassed them for nearly [music] 3 months. He had stopped them multiple times over questionable reasons, repeatedly abusing his authority. But this time around, things were about to take a [music] different turn. >> We'll find out. >> It's so funny, too, cuz we were really like red by catches. >> Same old guy. >> Hey, how are you doing? >> How are you? >> [music] >> I'm sorry? >> I said, "How are you?" >> I'm doing all right. I believe I talked to you before about your loud exhaust, right? >> Yes, and I got it fixed. Thank you. >> Okay. >> I looked up Thank you for letting me look up the law on that, too. >> Okay. Loud exhaust and your tinted windows, sir. >> Uh the the tinted windows are under >> I'm sorry, sir. >> [music] >> Sir, listen. >> I'm listening to you. I'm tired of listening to you. >> Okay. >> Just say You have pulled me over for 3 months now for the same that I even there. >> Okay. I gave you >> It's under 79 decibels. >> This This traffic stop [music] is being audio and video recorded. >> You're being recorded, too. >> The reason I stopped you was the exhaust is hanging down. It's a defective [music] exhaust as well as the tinted window. >> I do have the window and nothing. >> Yeah, we'll check. We'll check your tint. So, right now, do you have your driver's license, proof of insurance, registration, sir? >> Um I do. >> Okay. I need that, sir. The state law requires that upon request of law enforcement officer, you do have to provide the documents. >> I don't want to talk to you anymore. I want your supervisor, please. >> I'm sorry, sir. >> I would like your supervisor. >> Seemingly aware he was overstepping, the officer refused repeated requests to call a supervisor or provide his badge number. What he didn't realize, however, was that every move he made was being captured on camera and that the world was watching. >> I need your driver's license, proof of insurance, and Thank you. I need your proof of insurance, too, sir. >> You already know that. >> A traffic stop is not harassment. A traffic stop >> It is when it's up 2 weeks later. I still got the receipt for it. >> vehicle violation is not harassment, sir. >> Mhm. >> I do need you to roll this window down a little bit so I can check your so I can [music] check your window with my meter. You can see right there. Sir, I do have a window tint meter right here. This will not let you do that. Okay. >> [music] >> It came with the car. Okay. It doesn't make it legal, sir. It says been This has been tested. State law requires 50% or greater sunlight. Right now you were showing 23% sunlight through your Try back here where it's not dirty. Sir, 23%. If you want you can clean this off and it will show 23 23%. I said 50% or more. Okay. I'll look at the law on that, too. It will show 50%. You're just out to get me. All right, I'm good. And I appreciate you videotaping this as well as I'm videotaping this as well. Oh, you're welcome. Now you will be in non-compliance. State law requires you to compliant. I I'm tired of being pulled over by you all the time. You actually signed documentation saying upon request of a law enforcement officer that requests your driver's license, you will provide that. I gave it to you. there is case law that states that upon request of a law enforcement officer to exit the vehicle, you will exit as well as anybody and everybody in the vehicle. That is case law. Pennsylvania versus Mims, ma'am. And I appreciate you taping that because it's on. Okay. Pennsylvania versus Mims says that upon request I can have you exit the vehicle. I don't know what's in that vehicle. For my safety and your safety I have I can ask you >> [music] >> to exit the vehicle. Okay? >> I need information. Okay, you're good till September this this year? >> Correct. >> I appreciate that, sir. So, again, so why did you turn your vehicle off? Was it because of the the defective exhaust or so you could hear me? >> No, I didn't >> You need to Can you go ahead and start your vehicle for me? >> Okay, it idles hard. Okay, see that's under 79 decibels. >> No, sir. >> I didn't say >> Sir, I did not stop you for a loud exhaust. I stopped you for a defective exhaust. That's different. Okay, I will be back with you. >> Yeah, right. >> Frustrated that nothing had stuck against the family, he moved on to yet another questionable charge. >> How old is the child in the backseat? >> Why is that relevant? >> I'm sorry. >> Why is that relevant? >> Because in Ohio any passenger from the age of 8 to 14 in any seat in a motor vehicle must have a seatbelt on. He does not have a seatbelt on. >> Okay, I didn't know that. No, I didn't >> I'm sorry. >> I didn't know that he had it on. >> Sir, it's a law. >> I didn't know I didn't know it was a law, yes. >> Okay, he does not have a seatbelt on. I hope you're recording this because he does not have seatbelt on. >> All right. Yes. >> That's child endangerment. So, you're being cited today for one to ten violation as well as transport [music] transporting a child failure to [music] be secured in a seatbelt. As far as your exhaust the law states [music] it's not decibel only it's a defective or modified exhaust. You can buy [music] any type of exhaust and put that on there, but if it's defective, if it's hanging down, it's called defective [music] exhaust. So, again, I don't have to show I don't have to tell [music] you who I am cuz it's on the citation. I don't have to call my supervisor. I am a captain here. I don't have to [music] give you my badge number by state law as well as our policy that says I don't have to provide you that, >> [music] >> but I will provide you that because it's on the citation. >> Is my information correct on that? >> I'm sorry. >> Is my information correct this time on that? >> Well, it's whatever's in the BMV, sir. This is automated through the BMV. [music] If there's a problem with it, then you might want to talk to BMV cuz everything on here is automated through BMV. >> No, I don't know where I got my address from though. >> sarcastic. Automated through BMV, sir. >> I'm just asking. I'm not being sarcastic. >> this to you. Here's your information back. Okay. You're being cited today for the failure to wear a child restraint in the back seat. It is payable. If you choose to show up in court, which [music] is your right to contest the citation, it's going to be February the 28th at 5:00 here in the village of Higginsport. If you have any questions after today, here's an information sheet for you. It has the phone number if you elect to do credit card by phone or if you want to go online to pay it. Either way, if you have any questions, you can call this number here, okay? >> Cool. >> Any other questions, sir? >> No. >> Okay. Have a safe day. >> In the end, the shameless captain issued citations for a window tint violation, [music] defective exhaust, and transporting a dependent without a seatbelt. Taking shamelessness to yet another level, here's the case of an ICE agent who was arrested for DUI with his children in the car. >> Uh I'm federal. >> Okay. >> I'm trying to get home. I got my boys with me. >> Who do you work for? >> DHS. You guys really trying to me right now? >> I'm just asking what you you look like you're impaired. I smell alcohol coming from you. >> Lane. >> Yeah. >> Come on, guys. We are both law enforcement officers. >> Lane. I get it. Do you have any kids? Own up to your mistakes, man. You're you're you're you're you're a grown adult. >> I tried my best officer. >> On August the 13th, 2025 in Monroe County, Florida, deputies on routine patrol spotted a vehicle swerving and driving erratically on the highway and quickly initiated a traffic stop. Behind the wheel, however, was a federal agent who appeared heavily impaired and disoriented. >> Hello. >> All right. Can you roll down the the back windows for me, too? Sorry, you got you got real dark tint. Hello. Uh Is this guy where where are you coming from? >> Miami down here to Islamorada and then back. >> So, you're coming from Miami to Islamorada and then you're going back to Miami? >> Yeah, I live in Miami. >> Okay. Do you know where you are right now? >> Yeah. >> What Where are you? >> We're at the overpass over here. 18-mile stretch. Overseas Highway. >> Okay. Where Where did you Where did you do today? Where did you go? Did you go fishing? Did you go >> Come on, bro. >> to a restaurant? But, you're you're you're about 100 miles off of where you think you are. >> I'm not. >> You are. >> the guy in the white shirt? >> That's the colonel. >> Colonel tell me I've got to go. >> Uh >> I'm federal. >> Okay. >> I'm trying to get home. I got my boys with me. >> Who do you work for? >> DHS. >> Do you have your ID with you? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. But, if I called them, they'd verify that you're a >> 100% bro. >> Okay. You don't have any type of credentials or anything to say you're DHS? >> Not on me, no. >> Okay. >> I >> bring my weapon with me if I'm if I'm >> Okay. But you don't have any weapons on you right now? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. So, what I want to do, I want to talk to you away from the kids. So, I'm going to ask you to step out of the car and we're going to walk back to the back of your car, okay? >> Are you serious right now? >> Yes, sir, I am. >> He seemed to believe that mentioning his position as a federal agent would somehow intimidate the [music] officers. But surprisingly for him, these deputies were ready to follow the law to the letter. >> It's okay. We're just going to walk back to the to the back of the truck and we'll have a conversation, okay? >> Yeah, well >> Okay. >> You're just doing your job. >> Thank you, sir. I appreciate it. >> So, if you just walk right right over here. >> Guys, seriously. >> Can you just come over here for me? Okay. Um so, you said you're coming from Miami going to Islamorada and going back to Miami. What are you going to Islamorada for? >> Guys, seriously, we Are we really doing this right now? >> I'm just asking you a question. You said you're going to Islamorada. What are you What are you going to Islamorada for? >> Lane. >> Yeah. >> Are we really doing this right now? >> Sir, I'm just asking you a simple question. You don't have to answer if you don't want to. But you said you're going to Islamorada, so I'm just asking what you're going for. >> Guys. >> How much have you had to drink today? >> About four. >> Four what? >> Four drinks. >> Like water, alcohol, beer, what did you drink? Kool-Aid? >> Are you guys really trying to me right now? >> I'm just asking what you you look like you're impaired. I smell alcohol coming from you. So, I'm just asking how much you had to drink to make sure you're not too impaired to drive that vehicle. Okay. How about this, guy? So, again, I think that you might be impaired. You You look Your eyes are bloodshot. They're kind of glassy. >> really? >> Yes, sir, they are. >> Show me. >> I don't I don't know how you want me to do that. >> Take a picture. >> Okay. We get We can do that in a minute. Um but the other reason why I think you're impaired is just the way you're walking. You were kind of stumbling a little bit. >> walking anywhere. >> Okay. And then also the way that you were seen driving, you're like kind of swerving and stuff. And then the the corporal tried [music] to pull you over and you didn't immediately stop. You stopped here on the bridge. He tried to stop you at a safer spot a little bit back there. Okay. Doing this. Okay. So, again, I believe that you may be impaired by alcohol and or some type of chemical substance which may inhibit your ability to operate a motor vehicle safely. So, I'm going to ask you voluntarily participate in standardized field sobriety exercises to dispel my belief you may be impaired. Are you willing to do those exercises? >> Yep. >> You'll do them? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, what I'll have you do uh you can just sit on the on the bumper of your car right there. You're a little bit taller. I just need to look at your eyes. >> My eyes look >> Hm? >> I'm SFST certified. >> Okay, so am I. I'm a recognition expert. Do you know what that is? Okay. Anyway, so what I'm going to have you do uh if you can uncross your feet and just put them like side by side. Perfect. And then your arms, if you could, just try to put them down by your side like that. Okay. So, what I'm going to have you do is just keep your head straight and you're just going to keep your head like aimed straight at me basically and then I'm going to look at your eyes. Okay? You understand? >> Yep. >> Uh are you diabetic? >> No. >> Are you epileptic? >> No. >> Okay. Do you have any brain injuries? >> I'm a disabled veteran. >> Okay. Have you ever had a traumatic brain injury? >> Yes, I have. >> Okay. Does it affect your ability to operate a vehicle? >> Guys, come on. >> Okay. Well, I'm just asking what your brain injury is. Ha- Does it affect you in your everyday life? Do you know what nystagmus is? >> Onset of onset of nystagmus, yes. >> Okay. But do you know what nystagmus is? >> Yes, I do. >> Okay. Do you have nystagmus? >> Guys, are we really doing this? >> Okay. Do you have any medical issues that I need to know about? Are you on blood thinners, painkillers? >> Lame. >> Yep. >> Talk to me. >> I'm talking to you right now. >> Don't do this. >> I'm just talking to you, man. >> You're trying to scare >> It's It's all right. Take Take a deep breath. If If you're If you're If you haven't drank too much to to not be able to operate a vehicle safely, then, you know >> Lame. >> Yeah. >> Come on, guys. >> Realizing the officers were becoming hard nuts to crack and that they didn't care if he was a cop or not, he decided to try something different. >> We are both law enforcement. I'm just I'm going through a divorce. Don't take my kids, man. >> I'm not taking your kids from me, man. I'm just making sure that you're safe to drive the car, okay? Do you have any other medical issues that I need to know about? >> I don't know. >> Just any medical issues that might >> Bad stuff go on around me. I've been shot >> It's all right, man. Take a deep breath. >> Don't tell my kids. >> I'm not You're all right. Take a deep breath. You're okay. >> I've been People have tried me. I just want to go home, guys. Come on, man. >> I got you, man. >> But we've Come on. We know what's up. We've been We've been down this road before. >> Problem is is that we're at this point right now. >> I understand that. >> And you know that I have to do what I have to do. >> I understand that, but my boys are everything. >> Okay. Where's their mom at? >> I don't [ __ ] know. >> Do they have anyone down here that would be able to take care of them? I'm not saying you're going with me, man, but you're you're all worried about this stuff. I'm just trying to figure out, you know, if if there's someone else around here that, you know, maybe they could come drive the car if you think maybe you you drank too much to drive. >> Guys, no. >> No? >> They're my everything. >> Okay. So, no medical problems that are going to affect your ability to follow my finger? >> No. >> Okay. So, again, what I'm going to have you do is just keep your head straight, and I'm just going to have you follow the tip of my finger with your eyes, and I'm just going to go side to side, and then I'm going to go up and down, and I'm going to do a circle around your head. >> Do it. >> And I'm going to tell you what I'm doing before I do it, okay? I'm not going to touch you or anything, but again, I just want you to follow my finger with your eyes and don't move your head. Do you understand? >> Yep. >> Okay. Ready? >> Yep. >> As the officer administered the standard field [music] sobriety test, the shameless cop continuously interjected, hoping to appeal to his sympathy, but that also was a dead end. >> I don't know how easy this would be for you to do in flip-flops, or if it'd be easier in your uh >> Lane, I just want to get my kids home. >> I got you, man. >> Come on, dude. >> I'll tell you a true story. I went through the same thing 2 years ago. >> You divorced? >> No. >> I am. >> This. >> I'm going through a divorce right now. >> Look, man, you drank too much to drive a car. >> No, no, I haven't. >> You did. Okay? >> Let me get my kids home. >> You can't drive a car right now, man. Based on what I've seen so far, unless, you know, if you do good on this, maybe I'm wrong. Okay? That's why we're doing these, so that you can dispel my belief that you're impaired. Okay? Because right now, what I'm seeing, the the stumbling and stuff, I want to see if you can do this stuff. >> I'm not doing anything. I'm sitting right here. >> When I know, when you walked out of the truck at first, you kind of it it looked like it. Maybe I'm wrong, okay? But that's what this stuff is for, so that we can dispel that belief that I have that you're impaired. I can show you the one-leg stand if you'd like. Okay. >> Keep going. Guys, I'm going through a divorce right now. We're in the middle of this. Just My wife is trying to take my kids. Just give me a minute, all right? >> Okay. Okay, man. We It's either a yes or a no. >> Just give me a minute, all right, deputy? >> I I did give you a minute, sir, but we can't we can't stand here for for this long, okay? >> Lane. >> Yes, sir. >> I'm federal law enforcement. I'm going through a divorce. My wife is trying to take my kids. I'm just Give me a minute, all right? >> Okay. >> You know what it's like. You know what it's like to be law enforcement. >> long do you need, buddy? >> Just give me a minute, all right? Guys. >> If we give you a minute, are you going to do the exercise? >> I will do it. Hey, man. >> Okay. [snorts] Like I said, I just don't like us standing here in the road, man. >> either, but you know what? My kids are my life. >> I got you. >> No, you don't. Do you got kids? Exactly. Do you have kids? >> No. >> Exactly. So, you don't know what it's like. You know what? Call my supervisor. >> Okay. Do you want to do the exercises or no? >> I'll do it. But, you know what? What's homeboy doing down there? You know guys, come on. >> Make sure you don't get >> You don't want to get hit by a car or a bus or a whatever. You don't want to get hit. Don't want you to get hit. That's why we're trying to do the exercise that way we can >> Are you Haitian? >> That's nothing to do with my race, buddy. >> My question was, are you Haitian? >> It It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter where he's from. Okay. Look, man. I really need you to do the exercise. If you don't If you don't do it, then I'm going to say that you're refusing to do the exercise. I get it, you need a minute. I gave you a few minutes, okay? But >> Let me talk to your supervisor. >> Not right now, sir. >> Yeah. >> That's not how this works. You can talk to him at >> It is how it works because you guys are local. >> Okay, that's not a statute or a law or a policy or anything that we have. He's the second from the top underneath of the sheriff. Okay? He's the one that pulled you over. If you want to talk to him, we can, but right now I'm in the I'm in the middle of of an investigation and you're not going to talk to my supervisor in the middle of my investigation. When I'm concluded with my investigation, with whichever way that goes, whether it's you and your car driving away or you in the back of my car in handcuffs, if you want to talk to my supervisor then, then by all means, you can. But, when I'm in the middle of an investigation, it's you and me. No one else. So, this is this is the last chance I'm going to give you, okay? Do you want to do the walk and turn exercise? >> Yeah, I'll do it. >> Okay. >> Following his various failed attempts on completing the sobriety test, the deputies were left with no other option than to hold him accountable for his action. But, he wasn't about to go down without a fight. >> All right, Scott. I need you to come back here with me, please. I'm not going to do this in front of your kids, man, but you got to come with me. I'm not going to do it if Now, you put your wrist behind your If you're going to pull away, then I'll do it in front of your kids. Okay. >> Don't squeeze my hand. >> All right, let's go. >> I'm not pulling you. >> Guys, >> Okay. I was going to I was going to do this away from your kids, man, but if you're going to pull away from me, then I'll do it in front of them. >> I'm not pulling away. I'm not even moving. >> Just relax, man. >> You're pinning me right now. >> You have anything in your pocket you're going to poke me, stick me, anything like that? Well, sir, I'm doing my job today. You go on the left side. >> Guys, Lane, why are you doing this? >> It's uh it's clear to the right. >> Yeah. >> You can go to my hood. >> God damn it. >> Just right up against my hood, sir. Do you have anything on you that's going to hurt us? >> No, man. >> Okay. So, Scott, unfortunately, right now you are under the you are under arrest for driving under the influence, okay? >> Lane. >> Scott, I believe you're impaired. >> Guys, don't do this. >> I believe you're too impaired to operate a motor vehicle safely, Scott. We're going to go to the passenger side over here. >> Lane. Why you What about my kids? >> We're We're going to have to figure that out next. >> Damn it, Lane. You have an infant back there? Guys, please, I'm going through a divorce. Don't do this to me. >> Scott, are you able to fit in there? >> Lane. Look, man. We wear the same Lane, just talk to me for a minute, all right? >> I got you, man, but I really need you to get back in the car, please. >> I get it. Please listen to this, man. Go to the divorce because Lane, come on, man. She's going to [ __ ] me, dude. Please, don't do this to me. >> I got arrested for DUI 2 years ago. >> Lane, I get it. Do you have any kids? Own up to your mistakes, man. >> You're You're You're You're a grown adult. I tried my up, too. Own up to it. You're going to sit in jail tonight. It's going to suck. >> Are you serious? >> Yeah. You're going to >> Lane. >> It's going to suck, man. It sucked for me, it's going to suck for you, too. It is what it is. Be a man. Suck it up. That's what everyone tells us. I know. I get it. Whatever. If you're a cop, whatever. >> I'm I'm law enforcement, dude. >> Okay, then stop talking and sit in the back of the car and stop Stop this. Stop this. >> What about my kids? >> We're going to We're going to take care of it. But first, you >> in there. Let me talk to your supervisor. >> Again, you can talk to him in a second. >> No. Not going in there without my supervisor. >> Okay. Let's go to the other side. Come on. Come on, man. Don't pull against me. Let's go to the I'm not moving, bro. Don't [ __ ] this. >> Let's go. >> Lame. >> Okay, I'm going Hey, come on, buddy. We're not doing this, man. So, YOU GUYS COME ON. PUT YOUR FEET IN NOW. >> STAND UP. >> STAND UP. COME ON. >> Stand up. >> Put your feet in now. >> No. >> Man, don't be a kid. Come on. >> Stop. Where are my kids? >> Stand up. Put your feet in. >> What? >> Put your feet in. Put your feet in. You don't want to make this worse on yourself. Come on. Come on, lame man. Let's go. >> You got to sit in the car, man. >> to jail for DUI, which you may miss them if you don't cooperate. You go to jail for resisting. It only makes it worse. >> Come on. Put your feet in, buddy. >> All right. Your kids will be fine. This will pass. >> Listen to me. >> No, sir. Not on the side of the road. >> Come on. Let's go, man. >> Okay. We we we got to sit down, Scott. Okay. >> God damn you guys. Lame. You really me, man. And I'm going to drink today and drove. You. You, piece of [ __ ] God damn it. >> For a pallet drunk federal officer who believed [music] his badge made him untouchable, he seemed stunned and unable to process the reality unfolding before him. >> What are you doing, man? Don't with my kids, man. >> I'm not messing with your kids. They're going They're going to go with their mother for tonight. They're just going to go sit at the station. Their mom's driving out to pick them up. >> God damn it. >> Look, I get you're mad, man, but don't take it out on me. >> I'm not taking this [ __ ] out on you, lame. >> Well, you told me a few times you hate me and to go myself. Yeah, you did. >> No, I didn't. >> Look, man, I'm not trying to be hard on you. I'm just trying to be See, you said it when I first pulled you over. I'm just doing my job. This pays the bills. It is what it is, man. >> Let me see my kids. >> Brother, I really do not want them to see you and the way that you're in right now. Right now, they're fine. They think dad's chill. He's just going to go hang out with us for a few hours. >> They're not. Guys, they do. Lane, I'll be cool. >> We can't We can't do that right now, man. I'm not bringing your kids over here on the side of the road. I'm not putting them over there. I'm I >> Let me go see them. >> We can't do that right now, Scott. >> Lane. >> We can't do that, man. >> Lane. >> Everything will be fine. You just go for the night. You everything will be cool off and then >> Go for the night? >> tomorrow you'll be you know. >> But dude, really really just think. You got to calm down. You got to calm down. >> Come on, bro. Let me see my kids. >> I got you. But you got to calm down, okay? >> Lane. I promise you, unhook me. Let me just go see my boys, man. >> Cannot do that, Scott. >> I damn you, Lane. >> I'm sorry. >> No, you're not. >> I'll wait for you to come in and then >> Lane. >> Yeah. >> I just want to go see them. LANE. LANE. >> [screaming] >> LANE. HEY. OPEN THE DOOR. >> WHAT, MAN? >> LANE. Put this up front, man. >> No, dude. The way you're acting >> No, cuz you got Bro. >> You're trying to like destroy the the sheriff's car right now. >> No, I'm not. You can cuff me up front if you're going to cuff me. >> Look, if you really still want to have your job after this, you need to stop this. >> Then cuff me up front. >> No. That's not our policy. Our policy is that you're handcuffed in the back. There's no >> me somewhere. >> I I am. We're trying to work out how we're going to get your And you're making it a lot more difficult cuz you're sitting back here acting like a child. Stop, man. >> Then put the air on. >> The air is on. >> No, it's not. >> Well, every time I roll the window down and open up my door, what do you think happens to all the AC? >> I get some air. >> Exactly. >> I get some air. >> Okay. Watch your head. No. Stop. Stop banging on the windows. If you want the AC to reach back to you, >> It doesn't. Lane. >> It will eventually. So, you'd rather have the window down like this? >> Yeah, I would. >> Okay. Fantastic. >> Lane. Talk to me. >> What? Dude, there's nothing to talk about. >> And there is. >> There's not, man. I'm not I ain't too happy about it. >> [music] >> The officer later admitted to assaulting the suspect even though he no longer appeared to pose a threat, but before the situation could escalate [music] further, the sergeant stepped in to de-escalate. >> We're allowed to do that, sir. Decent search on the guy. I'm all right. >> Yeah, I got all the stuff on him. You can You can search him again. >> Okay. You understand these rights? >> the rights. >> All right. Having these rights in mind, do you wish to talk to me or us? >> About what? >> About what happened here today? >> I was on the scene and I was looking through the window and before I knew it for some reason, like I was like in a dream, so I didn't realize I was opening the car thing and going through it. >> Well, you broke into the window, it looks like. That's it. What did you use? >> I don't even remember. Is there a tool that Yeah, there is. >> I stuck up in there. Why don't you talk to the firefighters for a little bit? >> So, do I have a broken collarbone? Is that what's on? >> I have no slight a problem here. I have really bad pain. It's missing. I can just walk out and get as many more as I can to go >> What went missing? >> So, what do we do now? >> You're okay. >> And then my message is over there. >> Yeah, all right. >> Okay. >> So, it seems like both of your collar bones are intact. So, that's that's excellent news. What what would you like from us? >> If we can't ID him, I can see if the jail will take him and just do a roll prints and photo and ID. >> Last time I tried that, they wouldn't do it. Bellingham has their AFIS hooked up machine thing. They want to know I mean if we're not They need one of us to be in the ambulance with him if he's going to stay handcuffed and in custody. >> Yeah. >> Can we take the handcuffs off him, then? >> Well, it's I mean, it's up to you guys if he's going to stay in custody or not. Cuz if he goes to the hospital in custody, then it's >> Yeah, one of us has to go. You can turn your camera off real quick. >> Yep. >> After the incident, the suspect was taken to the hospital while the sergeant and officer discussed the situation off camera. Another officer later reviewed the footage and reported concerns to the police [music] chief, triggering an internal and criminal investigation. Both officers were placed on leave. The investigation found that they had violated the law and department policy. Officer Anderson was fired and charged with fourth degree which he pleaded guilty to [music] and was sentenced to 24 months of probation, a $350 a as well as a 364-day [music] suspended sentence. Uh the sergeant retired before the investigation concluded. In yet another shameful act, meet Officer Zelinsky. He stole a woman's private underwear in the line of duty. On September the 12th, 2024, in Hertfordshire, England, 27-year-old Officer Martins Zelinsky was conducting a property search when he decided to indulge in one of the most shameless actions ever. An action he most likely would have gotten away with if not for the unblinking eye of a camera behind him. Following the incident, Zelinsky was charged with theft, as well as the improper use of police powers and privileges. He was immediately suspended from duty and ultimately sentenced to 4 months in prison. Still on shameless cops who thought that no one was watching when they get caught on camera. Meet Officer Justin Augustine, who was caught after driving under the influence and then brutally crashing [music] his cruiser. >> He needs to >> Yeah, Augie, come here. It's hot here in the garage. Uh [snorts] you got to put your weapons away. Come out here, we'll talk. You'll be all right. We're going to go down to a drug and alcohol test down at the hospital, you and I. And uh you don't need all your gear, so take your Uh are you all right, Augie? >> Yeah. >> You seem What do you Your focus >> divided on me. What's going on? You just nervous? Okay. You Are you under the influence of anything, Augie? No, good. I hope not. I I do. >> Initially, Augustine claims to not be under the influence. However, that would quickly change [music] when he began to realize the magnitude of the situation he was in. >> Where's your vest at? >> I am >> You don't have it on you? Okay. All right. What else do you got on you? You got pocketknife, huh? >> I'm done. >> What's going on though? Tell me what's going on, bud. >> I'm done. Truck 411 >> Do you want to go with me and take the test, Augie? You're refusing it? You don't want to do that. >> I'm done. >> Okay, so what does that mean? All right. Are you under the influence of something, Augie? What's wrong with you right now? I don't understand. >> I'm done. >> Okay. Are you going with me? >> No. >> So, you What are you going to do? >> I don't know. >> Can you call somebody to come get you? >> I don't need to. >> Well, I I'm not going to let you drive. >> Yeah. >> Huh? >> Yeah. >> Yeah, what? >> What? >> I'm not going to let you drive. Can you call your wife? Seriously, Augie, can you call your wife? >> I ain't got a wife. >> Okay. All right, let's go out here. All right. Don't don't play this game with me, bud. I'm trying to be a I'm trying to help you out here. >> You ain't doing [ __ ] >> Well, I can't do stuff. I'm just doing what I got to do, Augie. It's my job. If you want to leave, go ahead and leave. All right, let's go. Let's go. Come on. Augie, don't do this, man. It ain't worth it. It ain't worth it. All right, I'm just doing my job. I'm just asking you to relax, okay? >> Okay, and I understand that. I understand what you're saying. All right. I just don't want you to do it like this. All right, I'm not trying to be a prick. I'm not trying to be difficult. You got to understand, it's it's my job, dude. All right. So, don't treat me like that. If you want to be done, I understand that. >> [snorts] >> Moments after telling the officer he wants to go home, Augustine's mood did a total 180, making the situation even more tense. >> Augie, are you okay to drive, brother? >> Yeah. >> Seriously, I'm worried about you. >> Yeah. >> All right, well, get going then. Do what you got to do, all right? >> really fine. >> I'm fine. >> Augie, >> I'm not >> you need to get it You need to relax. >> You need No, I What? What'd you say? Who is this? You just wrecked a cruiser. It's not the end of the world. >> That >> I know it's not the end of the world. We can do this, Augie. If you just go down and take the test like we're asking you, if you do that, then we can at least get that cleared to where you can come back to work. >> Officer Byron tried his best to convince Augustine to act up reasonably. However, it seemed like he had already made up his mind. >> Seriously, Augie, I'm trying to help you, bud. >> What? >> Huh? What'd you say? I don't know What'd you say? >> No, but >> What do you mean? Stop. Alcohol and pills? What are you talking about? Huh? Okay. All right. All right, Augie. I I get that, but so I can't let you drive home, all right? >> Yeah, I can. >> No, you can't. >> Yeah, I can. >> You said you're stopped. How are you going to drive home? >> I'm not I'm not like I'm not like I'm not like >> What I I'm Help me understand, Justin. >> You flipped them >> You talking about just in the head? >> You >> Huh? We don't need to do this, Augie. We don't Why are you doing this like Why are you doing me like that? Huh? What have I done to you for you to do that do me like that, man? Seriously. I am honest to God being serious with you. What have I done to you for you to treat me like that? Huh? What the I don't know. I didn't wreck the cruiser there and then have to ask you to come down to take the test. >> Realizing that the officer had [music] him dead to rights, Augustine decided to admit being drunk. >> Or did he? >> I've been drunk. >> Huh? >> I'm drunk. >> You're drunk right now? >> No, I've been drunk. >> Been drunk when? Today? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, you don't think you are now? >> No. >> Okay. Well, I can't let you drive the car home and tell unless >> What are you going to do? >> What am I going to do? Is that you're going to do this? You're about to get yourself arrested, bud. You're I mean >> For what? >> FOR WHAT DO YOU WHAT DO YOU MEAN what am I going to do? I can't let you drive. So, you try to get in that car, I got to stop And then you're going to start fighting with me. What is that going to do? Huh? Seriously, Augie, I'm Why are you doing this to me? I didn't do anything to you. Okay? I didn't do anything to you. Let's go back in here so we can figure this out, Augie. Please. You know I got to call Jason, right? Are you going to coop- but just cooperate with me. Augie, I You know huh? I know they are. And I I understand. Can you call your wife and have her come get you, bud? >> Officer Byron was finally able to convince Augustine to cooperate. During his short interrogation, it was clear to see how wasted Augustine really was. He was having a hard time sitting upright, even almost falling off the seat from [music] time to time. In the end, he was charged with handling a weapon under the influence and operating a vehicle while under the influence. And now we move on to another shameless officer, Paul Fenchek, who showed up to work after having a little too much to drink. >> Paul, would you be willing to submit to a field sobriety test? >> A field sobriety test? >> You going to bring me to jail? >> I don't know at this point right now. He's just He just got here. >> Okay, back driving. >> Paul Fenchek. >> Team. You don't realize it. >> No, I've already read it out. >> Perhaps. >> On July the 31st, 2025, Officer Paul Fencik attended roll call at the San Antonio Police Department South Patrol Substation. But his supervisors, a sergeant and a lieutenant, [music] noticed something strange about his behavior. >> What's his name? His name? >> Paul. >> Yeah. >> Oh. >> This is Officer Allison with the DWI unit. >> Uh-huh. >> I've been wanting to They got warrants >> that you're working on right now. >> Um authority of the chief's office. So, [music] uh he's just going to talk to you a little bit here. Just listen to what he's got to say and we'll go from there, okay? >> Okay. >> All right, Paul. At first, I'm just going to read you your rights, okay? Before we ask any questions, it is my duty as a police officer to advise you of your rights and warn you of [music] the consequences of waiving these rights. Do you hear me? You have the right to remain silent. You have the right to make a statement or not make any one. Any statement that you make will be used as as evidence against [music] you in a court of law or at your trial. You have the right to have a lawyer present to advise you in a court of law or at your trial. You may have a a lawyer present or if you're unable to afford a lawyer, the court will appoint a lawyer free of charge at any time that you want. If you decide to talk to anyone, you can. You can talk to uh stop talking to them any time you want. You have the right to continue talking but may be urged by any stage of proceedings. Paul, do you understand your rights as I've read them to you? >> Yes. >> Okay, Paul. Would you be willing to submit to this uh field sobriety test? >> A field sobriety test? >> Yes, sir. A standardized field sobriety test. Would you be willing to submit to it? >> I wasn't driving. >> Well, evidently you have been driving, I guess. So, uh that's where this is coming >> I was in the parking lot. >> Yeah. So, yeah. I guess there's video of you driving. So, but it is what it is. So, basically, this is the question that he's posing to you right now. So, it's up to you. You know, I mean, you see where this is going right now. So, it's it's just your [music] decision to make. >> Are you going to bring me to jail? >> I don't know at this point right now. This He's just He just got here. So, we're just This is all just starting like right now. So, >> What's up? >> What happened? >> I don't know. He doesn't know right now. That's >> I just need to see if I just need to evaluate you. >> If I refuse, I go to jail? >> I don't know. We'll find out. All right. >> Thank you. >> [music] [music] >> Nobody wants to be here, Paul. I promise you that, but we do have to make a decision on what you want to do. >> Well, I can't refuse. [clears throat] >> It's It's It's your choice. >> If I refuse, I go to jail. >> You couldn't refuse the breathalyzer test. At this point, what you do is all up to you. But right now, This isn't administrative stuff, so >> This is all you. This is all you. >> Yeah, at this point, Paul, you're just realizing that you're in this situation, and it's it's really officer Alston. And again, like I said, nobody wants to be here, but you're Here we are. So, moving forward, and it has nothing to do with damage, you you you either want to participate with the field sobriety test or you don't. But it's not It's not a supervisory issue at this point. >> The strong smell of alcohol was enough to raise alarms, and soon a patrol officer was called in. Paul's stunned expression made it clear that he, of all people, was never expected to be caught on the wrong side of the law. >> I know. No, I'll bring you out. Read it out. Are we going to do this part or >> Yeah, I guess. >> Well, then I mean, what am I going to do? >> I That's your decision. >> Yeah? I have no choice. Well, so I can come in. >> Go follow your sergeant. >> Yeah. Okay. >> [groaning] >> All right, Paul. Can you stand right there? >> Mhm. >> Feet together, arms by your side. >> Mhm. >> Just maintain that position until I tell you to begin, okay? >> Okay. >> Do you have any health conditions, anything like that, epilepsy, diabetes, anything I need to may may need to be aware of? >> No. No. >> You don't have anything like that. You've never been told you have anything going on. >> No. >> Okay. >> Paul was subsequently asked to perform sobriety tests, which he miserably failed. And what started as arrogance soon turned into visible defeat in front of his fellow officers. >> Okay, Paul. I'm going to have to do the uncomfortable thing. I have to turn around. >> Finchik was arrested after recording a blood alcohol level of over 0.15, which is twice the legal limit, qualifying as a class A misdemeanor [music] DWI. Officers also found an open beer in his patrol car and a cooler of unopened cans. The 18-year veteran was charged with [music] driving while intoxicated while on duty and was booked into Bexar County Jail and placed on administrative leave.
