Heing bust my eyeballs. I And heing just beat me. Here, mother. Here. Here. Here. Here. You want to see? Do you want to see? >> Okay. I'm going to read something to you. Okay. >> For some manipulative wives, a false DV call feels like the perfect plan. Right up until the moment they realize that the cops knew that they were lying all along and that their sinister intentions to throw their partners in jail begins to backfire big time. Why are you putting me in cuffs? >> You're They're putting me in cuffs. You >> get away from me. >> Get away from me. >> Do not do it. >> I'm not doing >> I'm not I'm going to jail because of you. >> Here are times when manipulative wives realize that their false TV calls backfired. Starting off with a pregnant woman whose 911 call painted her as the victim until investigators began comparing every version of events. >> And he just came at me and choked me up against the freaking fridge. The whole fridge moved and [crying] and um and I got scared and I just told him, "Don't do that." >> She attacked dad, broke into his room, busted him here. >> Yeah, >> she's typically the primary pressure in all their incidents. Wait, what? What? Wait, why? Why? >> On July the 21st, 2024, Charlotte County deputies responded to a home after a reported altercation involving a pregnant woman, her father, and her husband. After separating everyone, officers learned that the dispute began over a minor disagreement and then quickly escalated. As they began taking statements, a very different dynamic started to emerge. >> She could come out and talk to you. She's got kind of physical, you know, >> she's she's someone that gets physical. >> Like I don't understand that whatsoever. >> Hi. >> Hey. Hold on. Hold on one second. You want to talk to me over here? >> Yeah. >> Central >> cuz I I've seen him first. >> We were having a dispute, man. And she has known issues back in the past. She deals with bipolar and you know she's been >> warded off and she's been pretty good lately. But lately um we have disputes and she gets violent you know and as a man you try to run from that you know you don't want to get mixed up with that but I went to the back she locked me out the house I was trying to go in through the back you could tell I opened the screen to go inside you know >> and I told her not to lock me again you know I did you know >> and then that's when I told her not to lock me up again and I got to her face which I did. Yeah. >> And then she felt threatened, which I understood, you know, and then I told her it's fine. And then >> she just got violent from there, you know. >> So by violent, what do you mean? >> Well, I mean like trying to push and punch, you know, and I try to hold her back or like withhold her back. She That's her dad right there. She got upset that she didn't call you guys, but he knows the situation. That's her dad, you know. That's her That's her dad. >> Yeah. So, >> and you all you all all stay here? >> Yeah. And I don't know what happened. She locked the door and then I heard a owl. I opened the door and then he was bleeding. So, I'm guessing he hit her. You know, she hit him or whatever. >> Okay. >> You know, >> has she has she been violent in the past? >> Well, yeah. You know, she has a history, you know, but I don't want issues. I don't want to press no charges. I don't want, you know, I did I did have to get physical with her. What I mean by physical, it's like pushing her towards her room and away from her dad, you know? >> Yeah, >> I got you. >> And it's with the kids and this just this sucks. >> How many kids you all got together? >> Two. And then on the way. >> Okay. >> And that might be part of it. You know, it's also hormon. But >> yeah, she taking medication or anything like that? >> No, but she should. >> So tell me again why the how the the argument happened? cuz it was she was upset over something and it was small like small like something small. It always happens with something small. It was something about cleaning or something like that, you know. >> And then we started arguing. So what I decided to do is step out the house so I wouldn't argue. I was standing next to the camera and I tried to go in. She locked me from the garage. She locked me everywhere. So obviously I was heated. I just wanted to get into my house. Yeah. I didn't want to hurt her but I was heated. Okay. Gotcha. back door. I have a the eye. I opened the screen. I just got a broom, you know, poked it open. >> Yeah. >> Went through the back and then I told her like, "Why you locking? Don't ever." And I got up to her face and and that's where it started from there. So I I I'll take part of the blame. But >> I don't want to press charges on her or anything. I don't know how she feels cuz >> So her being bipolar, not her mood. So at any point did you uh did you put your hands around her neck or choke her or anything like that? >> Well, when I had to pull her out of the room cuz she was grabbing on her dad. I had to pull her away and put her in the room so I can sit there and grab her like from behind. >> Yeah, probably. >> All right. >> I don't want to grab her around the belly. >> Okay, I gotcha. Did she fall or anything or No, >> I mean I like pushed to the bed. Okay. >> You have a minute. >> Really fast. >> Yeah. >> I I talked to her dad. >> Mhm. >> She She's pregnant. >> Yeah. >> She's got issues. >> She attacked dad, broke into his room, busted him here. >> Yeah. >> She's typically the primary aggressor in all their incident. So, there's a history. >> Yeah. >> The deputies then spoke with the woman, but her version of the incident completely switched the narrative. >> I do think she's probably manic, depressive, or whatever you call it. You seriously may need a stitch for that. >> I'm going to shut this. All right. >> She'll be back. >> All right. So, what's going on? >> We got into it. >> I don't know what got into it. >> Like just arguing about cleaning up. He said, "I don't have to clean up right away." I said, "Yes, I do. I have a lot of stuff to do. I'm busy." and we're bickering and he got upset and he left. Round the car and he left and I guess he forgot his phone and he just came at me like he just came Oh, sorry. I locked the front door and so I guess he came through the back. I was in the kitchen and he just came at me and choked me up against the freaking fridge. the whole fridge moved and and um and I got scared and I just told him don't do that. Like don't do that. I was scared and I was just yelling at him and screaming at him and I was pissed, you know. And I said don't again to me. >> Sorry. Can I step over here? [snorts] >> I said don't do that again to me. and he was on my >> going through the house searching for his phone >> and I don't I didn't have it. I don't know where it is. I still don't know where it is. And um he walked out the door and he came back in and he did it again on the couch and choked me and told me to give it to him. Give me his phone. And all I had to do was give him his phone and he would leave. [crying] And I told I don't know where where your phone is and if you do that again I'm going to and then um I was looking around the house for his phone too because I just wanted him to leave cuz it was upsetting the kids. >> I got you. Um so how'd your dad get the uh the cut on his >> I don't know. There was a scuffle when I was I was ping on his room. He had the door locked. He was minding his business and I was telling him, "Can I use your phone?" Like he took my phone away and he wouldn't give it back. Can I use your phone and I was hitting the door hitting the door and finally he opened it and he had his phone in his hand and I was I was telling the kids are screaming. And I had one baby in my hand and he wasn't he wasn't he was like looking at me strange. He was looking at me strange and not responding telling me basically like no you're not going to call the cops. I'm like why? Like I'm scared. Just do it. Like I'm scared. And he wouldn't give me his phone and I was reaching for his phone and he we were pushing each other. We're pushing each other back and forth we me and my dad [snorts] >> trying to get the phone and all three of us were like pushing each other trying to get the phone >> and Yeah. >> Oh boy. >> And then finally um John gave me my phone back and that's when I called cuz they did not think I was going to and I was like I am like what do you think this is? So, is this your is this your what's your >> his fiance? Fiance. Okay. >> The father of my fiance. >> So So when he came in the So when he came in the back, what happened? >> I don't know how he got through the back. I don't know >> what happened after that. >> He just ran up on me and choked me. >> So he just ran up on you and choked you. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Like I knew why. It was because I, you know, I closed the doors cuz I was upset that he left, you know, and I closed the doors. I knew he was going to get into the house. It's not locked in the back. He could go through the garage, whatever. I was just done. I was like, "All right, whatever. Leave. Go fishing, whatever." But he was just wanted his phone, and I did not have it. >> Okay. >> As investigators compared the woman's claims with the closely aligned statements of her husband and father, inconsistencies began to surface, especially regarding how the injuries inside the home occurred. The focus of the investigation quickly shifted to figuring out who was telling the truth. >> Choke that >> right over my neck like pulling each other and >> I mean I don't >> on my neck choked me against >> two hands, one hand, right hand, left hand. >> I think one. >> Okay. All right. Um >> I don't want nothing bad to him or my family. I just wanted it to stop and I just couldn't believe that he would my dad was not calling you guys. Like I did not understand because I was scared. >> It was like he was ignoring me and I was like why aren't >> like clearly it was out of control. Whatever the situation was was way out of control and I want cuz >> Okay. >> Um so I mean here's the thing. We're getting two conflicting stories. Um, >> of course. >> Yours and yours and his and then yours and your father's as well. So, both their stories are matching. >> Well, that's what happened. I don't know what to tell you. Okay. >> Your child was with you when you were getting the phone from your dad. >> Uh-huh. >> Your hand. >> Are you right handed? >> Yeah. So, is a scratch on your pinky from what? Top of your forehead towards your pinky. >> Oh. Oh. >> Deputies found no visible signs supporting the strangulation claim, while the only confirmed injury was her father's sustained during a struggle as she held a child. As inconsistencies mounted, officers had enough to act and the situation quickly took an unexpected turn. >> I did not want my dad to get hurt and all of this. >> All right. >> Put him in. >> Yeah. >> Wait, what? Wait, wait, wait, wait. Why? Why you right now? >> I did not hurt anyone. >> Well, here here's the thing. You know you know when you started banging on the door and fighting with your dad and your children? >> I was not fighting with him. I was knocking on the door asking for help. >> You already told us you were pushing each other back and forth, right? You had your child pushed me. >> No, >> that's not what you said. >> I got pushed. >> I was reaching for the phone and I got pushed off. >> You have a child. You have any responsibility that you are right. That's why I'm for you guys. You're right. >> You have your business like that. >> So, she's going to she's going to check to make sure you haven't got any weapons or anything on you. around >> you have products or legal items. >> No, >> I don't do a favor. Take a picture of her neck. >> Kids is all they wanted. >> Okay. Well, we don't we don't do that business while we're holding our kids. >> I don't have my own. >> I have You understand what I'm saying? >> I was scared. >> Do you hear what I'm saying? >> I'll go get my phone cuz I got to upload them anyways. So, Hey, buddy. Let me get some uh >> let me get some [music] pictures of you. All right. >> For what reason? >> Central >> for the uh investigation. >> What investigation? >> Domestic. Do the uh the babies breastfeed or anything like that? >> No, they're both bottlefilled right now. >> Okay. >> Well, one of them is bottle filled. >> You're capable of taking care of them. Okay. All right. All right. She's going to be going with us. All right. >> Huh? >> And what's going to go on from there? >> Uh, she'll get uh court date and well, she'll have first appearance, then she'll get a court date >> today. What's going to happen today? >> Uh, she'll be going down to Charlotte County Jail. >> Here, you want to you want to stand up? Let me get some pictures of you real quick. >> Oh, you're going over there. >> Okay. >> Coming to Australian Drive. No one under the influence. >> Listen, man. It's not your It's not your fault. You know, >> I don't know. >> We can only do so much. [snorts] >> All right. Uh, you want put your hands down like this? >> All right. Palms facing up. >> Okay. >> Can you close at 60? >> Show a closeup of the face. All right. I appreciate it. >> I think I'm just going to have it come to char. >> I hope I don't look so horrible. [snorts] All right. Your hand shut down. Then let me get a picture of that. >> Was it is he in your car? >> Okay. He was doing the vine form and >> can >> and then I can just um so just pretty much do the message for for him >> against the we'll get a waiver for the jack. Yeah. And then try >> not neither of us want this for each other if I like what >> 105 also be advised and are going to be >> Why did you lie? >> Tell them the truth. >> Tell them what happened. >> They're arresting me because I was holding the baby. She going with me or put her in a car for right now. Any car. Be quick. >> I know. Just tell him the full story. >> If you say one more word, I'm going to add additional charges. Do you understand? Go that way. >> The pregnant lady was arrested and charged with battery on a person over 65, domestic battery, and neglect without great bodily harm. Moving on to Lynn Dear King, whose visit to a police station quickly to register a complaint exposed her own emotional instability and her sinister plans to get her husband arrested. >> I hope you get one day aing daughter, a sister, mother. I hope you get one day that they beat him. >> You think you're going toing take me home? You're a piece of >> That's what I do. >> And she spit on my hand. camera under arrest. >> On April the 16th, 2024, at around 6:00 p.m., Lynn Dear King arrived at the Bartlett Police Department, claiming that she needed to report following her husband's decision to pursue a divorce. The visit quickly shifted from a report to a tense encounter, exposing more chaos than credibility. >> And as Tracy or the what what the what? Oh, what's her name? She's sergeant, officer, lieutenant, something. Uh Tracy, she's got two kids, stuff like that. I also called her yesterday to ask for a female officer. >> Once again, you guys me. >> Why do you need a female? I'm trying. I >> really called an hour ago. be here by 6 and you'll have a female officer because you guys >> we don't determine what determine when 911 calls come out. Ma'am, >> I wasn't a 911 call. >> And that's why I'm here. I'm the available officer. So, I'm here taking it. If you don't want that, I can't I can't become a female. >> I don't know what to tell you. >> But I asked them if I could have female >> and the female officer is tied up. >> You will. >> And there's a female officer. Let me get my phone number. Sergeant Flores. Yeah, she's right there. She knows I'm out here talking to you despite the fact because we don't have a female officer available. If we did, there'd be one here, but unfortunately there's not. >> No, I was here. I was here by 6. >> And the female officer is busy cuz there's only one female officer on duty. Unfortunately, I don't know what >> they said too. They said the officer uh Tracy uh Schultz or something, what her name was, she couldn't be here cuz she had a seat. And then they said they really have another one for me. >> Who's the other one? I We don't have a Tracy Schultz. I'm sorry. >> Oh my god. >> You don't? >> We don't have a Tracy Schultz. We don't have a Tracy. >> Sergeant, the Lieutenant >> Tammy Schultz. >> Tammy, I'm sorry. Tracy Tammy. she was the one who was there and I said no because she I know her personally on Facebook and I did not want her to be involved in our personal situation. >> Okay. So you don't want the sergeant that's on duty even though she's a female. >> What >> you said you don't want her but one sec. You're saying you do want >> because she is a personal friend on Facebook and I did not want her to be involved in my personal problems. >> Okay. So, you don't want her? So, she's the one female sergeant. >> Yeah. You want her out here? I can get her. >> I'm still taking the report. >> I told you. >> After you you take the report, she's not going to be here. >> She'll approve it. She takes Yeah, she approves report. She's a supervisor. I'm not >> Is she here today? >> Yes, she's scheduled to work. >> When? >> In 4 minutes. >> Exactly. I'll wait for her. >> Well, she's a supervisor. She's still not going to take your report. Whether she's >> Do you really know? Do you read the Bartley Examiner? >> Sure. Why not? >> Why wouldn't you? >> Cuz I work in Bart. >> Because >> Whoa. You're something else. >> All right. So, you don't want me to take your report? >> So, she can't take my report. >> Cuz supervisors don't take reports. >> Really? >> Correct. >> Then, let's take you. >> Okay. >> As the officer attempted to gather basic details, Lynn's story struggled to stay consistent. And I [ __ ] the husband 14 17 years on the fire department. Yeah. You guys, you know you each other. You're brothers. >> I just got here a year ago. >> I don't care because you know what? >> Who's your husband? >> I don't care. Doesn't matter. >> You don't care who your husband is. >> They don't ask. >> Well, I need to know for the report, don't I? >> Why? >> Cuz you're here to make a report. Aren't you here for a report or are you just here to yell at me? >> What? Take a report about what? >> What? What did you say that you're going to take a report about? What? Did I tell you what? I'm going to take a report about what >> I'm trying to figure out why you'd walk into the police department if you weren't here to make a report. >> About who? >> You said your husband. So, I'm presuming that. No, I said he's on there on the 17-year on the fire department with Kashki and all all the rest of them [ __ ] and you guys are like brothers. So don't tell me that you're going to sit here and tell me that you're going to sit there and say, "Whoa, yeah, she's a off. She's this. She's that." Don't tell me that. [music] I know this. >> So what's the report about? >> Uh >> okay. So, what's been going on? Who's been domestically? >> My husband. >> So, what has been about your husband? >> But you didn't have to ask yet. [music] >> Well, I do need to ask because I need to know. >> You know what? All right. You're You're going to just take your and we'll take mine. >> You seem a little agitated. >> Let me Oh, that's right. I can't show you the beating because he uh took my phone and delete it. Well, is there any marks on you >> today? No, I'm sorry. >> Just trying to ask question. >> No, I'm sorry. They're not today. >> Okay. >> Okay. Maybe with the last three months and like that. Yeah. >> And then he called you guys. You know, you two sick and bucketers sit there and you're your brothers. Oh yeah. Fire department. Oh yeah. You know what? I grew up in Logan Square. you guys eliging Englewood and everything. You in last two [music] days. >> So, who's your husband? >> None of your business. >> Well, I can't help you if you don't tell me what's going on. >> When Tammy gets her, you know what? I'll just call Tammy. I'll call Tammy. I'll call Tracy. Tammy. Oh, you know what he did? >> He disconnected it. My phone so I couldn't get to her. >> Who [music] disconnected it? my husband. >> Okay, >> ma'am. Can I ask you a couple questions? >> Yeah. Wait. [clears throat] Am I alcoholic? Am I a [ __ ] junkie? Am I this? What? What am I? >> Well, because you seem a little disoriented. So, I'm going to ask you some >> disorientated. Well, let me see. My house is for a clos. He's somebody. He [ __ ] don't come home. I have no home. I have no family and thiser runs around all over the place and I'm supposed to be nothing. Heing busted my eyeballs. You you will never never last here because these guys are go to Chicago and learn something. >> Despite alleging serious accusations, Lynn showed no visible injuries and repeatedly avoided giving clear answers, forcing officers to juggle patients with rising skepticism because of the inconsistencies in her report. >> Who is the president of the United States? Oh, it it actually ising Biden theing uh Jordan. Who else? >> Okay. Do you know what town you're in? [music] >> Bartlett, Illinois. >> Okay. Thank you. >> What else? Tell me more. Do you think I got dementia? >> I'm just trying to figure out why you're going to complete. >> Let me show you the picture. [snorts] >> I hope you got >> Please do. >> You're married. No. Oh, no. Wait. I hope you get one day a [music] daughter, a sister, [ __ ] mother. I hope you get one day that they beat him. I hope. But I did. I'm sorry you went through that. >> Really? >> Sure you are. >> But I can't arrest him for something he's already been arrested for. >> He was arrested. >> Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I can't arrest him for something he was arrested for in 2022. >> What began as a complaint gradually shifted into a concerning situation [music] due to Lynn's erratic behavior? >> NO. WHY DON'T YOU DO YOUR [ __ ] JOB? WHY DON'T YOU TAKE HIM and give him the elevator? He's sick. How can you beat a woman? How did you look at these pictures and does what he DOES TO ME? WHY DON'T YOU DO THAT? >> All right, give me one second. Okay, >> I know you >> I know. You >> I'm walking. >> Lynn had been getting frustrated all along as her attempts to throw her husband in jail was failing. And from the look of things, it was only a matter of time before her frustrations boiled over. >> Youing piece of >> So here, would you like a copy of the Illinois to me? >> You know what you do? >> And she spit on my hand. >> You're under arrest. >> I did I officer hand when you spit on that sheet. >> Yep. >> I spit on the paper. >> Missed and he hit my hand. I can't >> get these out of here. >> Okay. Just calm down. Stop acting like that. There's no reason to act like that. >> Get my dog. >> I will. >> Get my phone. Show me. Let me show you what he did. >> Can you can do anything in break my leg? >> I will sue you. >> The false accusation by Lynn against her husband never progressed. But with each passing minute, the consequences of her actions did. >> Next day. And I'm so stupid because I'm a an idiot. I'm an idiot and I believed him. >> Get my dog. >> I'm going to go check on your dog, but I'm here with you right now. So, we'll make sure your dog >> You mean you don't tell me? >> Hey, Lyn, >> you can'ting look up on the >> You just open your mouth really quick. I just need to make sure you don't have anything in your mouth. >> Here, >> just open like that. Ah. >> Okay. I need to read something to you. Okay. >> I hope somebody blows your brains out. >> Thank you. >> Do you have any keys? I'M JUST I'M JUST CHECKING. >> TAKE the off, man. >> Take it off. >> Take it off. Take it off. Here. Here. Take it off. Here. Take it off, man. Take it. Here. Here. Here. >> Dude. Hey. Don't do that. >> Fingers in my hand. >> No. Here. Here. >> Oh, I like you. I love No. No. NO. NO. TAKE IT OFF. >> CUT IT OFF. STOP. >> WHAT DO YOU WANT? I WANT YOU TO RELAX. WE'RE trying to help you out. [ __ ] >> you. You jaggle. Take it off. Can >> you put her shirt just >> No. Here. No. Booby. You want these? No. >> You want these? You like it? You like it? >> I don't want anything to your shoulder. Stop. >> Here. You want to feel it? Officer's attempts to deescalate and offer assistance were met with increasing agitation from Lynn as she could see her emotionally charged yet unsubstantiated claims backfire. >> You're evil. You're evil. >> Okay. I'm sorry you feel >> And I think you got some kind of dysfunctional and you got some kind of daddy issues. >> Yeah. And mama issues. >> Okay. >> Yeah, you do. >> Okay. >> Yeah. And you think you're some kind of big Oh, there's a there's a queen bee. Hey. Oh, so my dog's going to be euthanized. >> No, it's not. >> Did he Did he not say >> No, I know. But he said that he bit somebody. >> Wait, wait, wait. He did bite somebody. When you had him in your possession, you that he bit somebody. Yeah, he was getting him out of the kennel and he bit nipped him. >> He was traumatized. >> Okay. Well, let's let's I HAVE >> LIKE A CHILD WOULD be >> so Lynn I got him from Kentucky. He was he was burn on fire. WOULD YOU BE TRAUMATIZED if his mom wasn't there? Come on, Tammy. Okay, the medics are coming to um talk to you. >> Oh god, get the off. Nope. >> Don't get that luxury. >> Oh god. Yeah, sure. >> Yeah. 5'2, 145. I'm going to >> goamnam. I hate you. >> What do you want? >> I want you to walk around so you can take a seat. >> Oh, thank god it's Carmey's not here. could be arranged. >> Swing your feet up. Come on. Swing your feet up. >> You guys want one cup on the U? >> Yeah. >> Take this one off really quick. >> All right. Actually, hold on. >> Go over there and then handcuff unhanduff this one. >> Cuff it to that. >> Serge, can you toss me those cups? >> Take this one off and then handle. >> Wow. Oh, this is something else. >> God almighty. >> Wow, >> man. You guys treat me worse than when cops. Worse than cops. >> Back so the officer, >> welcome to the team, man. Am I hired? You just think about that. I'm sorry. >> Lynn was taken into custody and ultimately charged with battery on an officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Here's another disgruntled wife named Kelly, whose call for help quickly expose a dispute fueled more by divorce frustration than immediate danger. >> I've lost my children within weeks. >> I got you >> because of that. But going back and forth is not going to solve the situation either. So >> just get him OUT OF HERE. >> FOR WHAT? Chill out. >> For what? No, you're not putting me in cuffs for any reason. >> No, I'M SWEATING MY PANTS. >> On March the 27th, 2024, officers responded to a domestic disturbance involving a woman, 48-year-old Kelly, whose claims immediately created a tense and uncertain scene. As deputies began separating those involved, it quickly became clear that the situation was far more complex than it first appeared. >> Please come in. >> Dog's not going to hurt you. >> I'm not worried about the dog. I'm just What's going on? >> He's upstairs sitting there texting, lying, doing the usual that I've had to deal with. And hold all the >> body. I don't want you. Don't face me. Don't record me. >> You know that's our policy. >> I have to record. >> Turn away from me. because I'm done with y'all. I'm a nurse. I'm about to lose my license because he's upstairs with his daughter and they have >> cuz he already moved out. >> He moved out. He moved back. I found out somebody else. Now he moved back in. Now I have evidence he's been in his ex place and I want him out of the house >> and he won't even get out of the room. >> Does he live here? >> He does live here unfortunately, but he won't even get out of the room. He's doing everything he can to antagonize me to try to elicit a response. And I just want him away from me cuz I'm done. >> This has been a long time coming when he had me arrested a year ago and you pulled me in and his buddy pulled me in despite the fact that I was RN and now my RN at risk because I had a couple of cocktails that night. >> Talk to you outside. >> Yes, please. >> Okay. >> Put a little scratch on my husband's twice my size. No, I'm not going to press charges. But >> I'm I'm not gonna I'm not gonna I'm just >> No, I'm not I'm not going to do anything. But >> what we we What What is going on? >> No, she's just lost it. And she's telling me to get out of my house, and I'm like, "No, it's my house, too. I don't have to leave. I I'm just here to keep the peace. I'm just trying to figure out what's going on." >> Yeah, that's that's what I know about peace offer. The husband described Kelly's ongoing emotional outbursts linked to their divorce, explaining that he was trying to keep the peace for his own daughter. The past incidents between the couple also added context, which officers could not ignore. But then an unexpected incident was going to change the course of the investigation. This is going >> because she doesn't We're in a bad place. I admit. Okay, I've already called my attorney. The paperwork's gone back in. We should have been divorced in January, but she fought it. I managed to get thrown out. Long story short, we're going back through this and I'm excited about it. This kind of is not going to work for me. >> And again, I'm not pressing charges, so I don't >> And you know how that goes. >> I'm not doing anything. So, she's not going to be taking it. >> Okay. Cuz I didn't report this. >> It It doesn't matter. what we ended up with. >> No, I know it's not being in that case. >> I'm not doing this. Look, bottom line is >> she is losing her temper. I can go to my parents house. >> Mhm. >> But what I told her is I don't the inconvenience is my daughter who has school tomorrow. It puts her in a bad situation and you stay away from me and away from her. >> Do you mind if I talk to her? >> No, it's fine. >> You need EMS? Should we call bus? What did you see? >> So, I was like I heard them arguing. So, I took out of my room cuz I was across the hall and I like the only thing I saw was I saw her like walk around the bed and she had like a Stanley cup in her hand. You can see like the marks on the floor from when she was like where the water went everywhere and she was just like hitting him with it and then she started like clawing at him. >> She had scratch. >> No, I didn't. That's >> Daisy. Ellie, I you are >> shut up. Mm- Let's not do the back and forth. I >> I don't want to. >> So, let's not. >> It's called get out. >> Dad was like, "She lives here, too." I was like, "I live here, too. I need my stuff." >> And she like charged at him. And I have it on my phone. >> I'm looking forward to not only getting a divorce, >> but suing you on top of the damages that you've done to my children and your own child. And because of it, you're going to lose custody, >> man. The back and forth. Let's not do that. Let's just save it for >> you. I don't want to save it for because you know what? between you and your buddies, him and his other buddy, which I'm grateful has been termed since then. He had no reason to put me in cuffs. I'm losing my RN license. And all I did for ringing that >> I I didn't want I'm not the one that put you >> all I did. >> I'm not the one that put you in cuffs. >> Doesn't matter. I had bruises on my hands for weeks and I'm losing my damn license and I'm los >> because of that. >> But going back and forth is not going to solve the situation either. So >> just get THEM OUT OF HERE. >> YELLING AT ME. GET HIM OUT. >> PLEASE, I'M NOT MAD AT YOU. IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT. PLEASE yelling >> kindly understand my frustration is not with you. It's with him. And no one's solving the problem. >> Double up. >> Double up. >> Okay. I'm sorry. >> Come on. >> What? What? What? No. What? For what? >> Chill out. >> For what? >> Chill out. >> For what? No, you're not putting me in cuffs for any REASON WITHOUT A WITHOUT A REASON. I want a reason. >> Why are you putting me in cuff? Why are you putting me in cuffs? >> YOU'RE THEY'RE PUTTING ME IN CUFFS. YOU ARE >> NOT. >> YES, THEY ARE. >> ARE YOU NOT PUT IN CUFFS? YOU PRICK. YOU PRICK. >> You're not sir. >> Get away FROM ME. >> GET AWAY FROM ME. >> Get away. >> I'm right here. >> I'm not. Just get AWAY FROM ME. >> [screaming] [crying] [panting] >> OH MY GOD, HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I CALLED for a soul and nobody's put him in cuff? >> As tensions rose, the situation visibly escalated with emotions riding high. But as evidence began aligning, the call made by Kelly started to backfire massively. >> Don't do it. I'm not explaining it. I'm not >> I'm [screaming] not telling you to leave. I'm telling you come outside. >> I'm not I don't want this. >> You got to come outside. >> I'm not going to do it. I will not come outside until it's I'm in my house and I will not come outside until you stop this. not being disrespectful. >> I will leave. Listen, OFFICERS, >> I'm not leaving my house. >> We're not telling you to leave, but you can leave. >> I'm not. But what I'm telling you is I will leave her here. I will go to my parents cuz y'all will leave now. She called. No, I'm not doing this again. Okay. I'll call the mayor who's a good buddy of mine. >> That's fine, sir. Go ahead and call the mayor. You don't understand. >> It's It's not in your hand. >> That's fine. I'm not doing the I didn't call. She called. >> It doesn't matter. DOESN'T MATTER. THE DAUGHTER LIED THE FIRST TIME AND HE LIED THE FIRST TIME. >> We're not doing this. >> I'm not doing this. I'm not pressing charges. I will not do anything. >> At this point, it's not up TO YOU, SIR. >> NO. THERE WAS NOTHING. OKAY. >> I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. >> NO. And let us let us handle this. >> No. No. >> No. >> You're not arresting me. >> No. You're not arresting her. >> Then both of y'all going to go to jail. >> No. >> That's right. If you're if you're going to arrest both of us, me, you're going to arrest me. >> I'm not obstructing justice, sir. Unless she did something to you, I'm not saying she did anything. The false narrative of Kelly now unraveled under witness statements and evidence. Yet, officers were still left dealing with the husband's emotional fallout. >> We're getting a divorce, okay? She doesn't deserve this. And I'm not doing this. >> I'm not saying >> I provoked her today. I should have. >> Okay, I understand you're saying that. >> Okay, so just leave it alone. >> But here's the problem. >> No. The state law says that we cannot >> No, I know what the state law says. I went through this before. >> Okay. >> And I'll call the cab county and I'll call the mayor. >> Okay. >> And I'll I'll I'll raise a real stink cuz I can. Not because I care about this, but because I just want this over. If you will just walk away. >> But there there is video evidence of of >> No. No. He didn't see any any video evidence. There's no video evidence. I didn't show him one thing. If he said that, you're not >> injuries on your own. >> No. No. Go ahead. No. No. I No. That could be from the dog. You don't know, >> sir. At this point, it's it's it's out of your hands. >> No, it's not. >> So, I This is a situation. >> I'll make it. >> It's a situation. >> Call my dad and then he'll call. He'll call. Don't worry. We got plenty of ties. I got ties all the way up to >> That's fine, sir. Hell, the Tucker precinct named after my great grandfather. >> That's fine, sir. >> Oh, well, there. There we go. Hey. No. Stop that video right now. Give me that phone. I own that phone. >> Do not do it. >> Yes. >> I'm not dealing with it. >> I'm not She is >> Okay. I don't want to deal with this. >> I don't want to deal with her. >> Okay. Officer, you just coerced my daughter. I told >> No, he didn't. I'll do it. No, I will gladly say that I gave him the phone. >> No, you coerced her. >> No, he didn't. >> He coerced her. >> No, he didn't. I'll tell my mom. >> How old are you, man? >> I'm 13. >> Look, we can either do this the easy way or the hard way. I'll leave and that's fine. And y'all can leave with it and she can send her crazy ass here and that's fine. Then everything goes away. We'll be divorced. She'll eventually be out of this house and everything will go away and y'all will never be called to this house again because I won't have a reason to [ __ ] >> and I'd like to get along with y'all since I'm gonna live here. >> You do understand that what she did is battery. >> Okay. >> Give me charges. >> And this was the dog. I mean, you can see the claw marks. >> Sir, it's the battery. >> I know. You know, be your word against mine. that coercion you just did to my daughter. >> That's not >> Oh, yes it is. And it's on video. >> Yeah, it certainly is, sir. >> So, you you have four different body cams. >> I know. >> So, yes, it is on video. >> I know. And so, you'll see that. >> Okay. >> You just took her phone from her hand and told her to show you the video. >> I did. >> Yes, you did. I stood right here. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, like I said, let's just let this go amicably be done. I'll go home. She can stay here. >> Sorry. It does not it does not work that way when it comes to >> understand I antagonized her. >> The couple remained consumed by their argument unable to see how the conflict was affecting their daughter. But despite Kelly's continued protests, officers had already made their decision. >> And there's video because we were we were arguing. But I'm not I wasn't showing any of my video. Nobody wants to see any of that cuz I'm not trying to get my soon to be ex-husband arrested. So, it's either me and him or just me. So, can you please help? >> I'm just being honest. Do you have nothing better to do? >> Will you please >> I'm asking, do you all have nothing better TO DO? >> NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. [screaming] I'M JUST KISSING MYSELF. >> GET OFF ME. GET OFF ME. GET OFF ME. >> NO PROBLEM. Get off me. >> No. I'm wetting my pants. I'M WETTING MY PANTS. NO. HEY. NO. YOU JUST TOUCHED ME. You touched me. Don't. >> YES, I DID. >> I'M WAITING MY HAND. THAT'S [screaming] WHAT I DID. >> NO. NO. You touched me. >> I did. >> I just I asked you to step back. >> I'm sorry. >> Just relax your hands. >> What do you want? I don't want >> Put your hands up. >> Why do I need >> Relax your hands and put your hand >> hurting anyone and I'm not going anywhere, >> guys? >> Christ almighty. Thank you. This is you. >> YOU CALLED THEM. >> I DID THIS. YOU CALLED THEM. >> I did this. >> You called them. >> Guys, don't. >> Guys, come on. >> And they've never arrested you. And anytime that you Why am I Why am I standing up? >> You're going to the back of the car. >> Oh my god. My pants are wet. >> Listen, guys. I'm closing the door. >> No, sir. You're not closing. >> It's my home. >> You are on my property. >> You are on my property. You are You are on my property. No, she's in custody. >> I'm not in custody. I'm in my house. >> You want to move out the way or you going to go to jail, too? >> She's going to jail, too. >> We're not doing this. >> She's going to jail. So, she is she >> Why would I need to go to jail? DO YOU UNDERSTAND? I'M going to lose my license as a nurse and my children are already gone because of his lies. >> No, you're not. >> Oh, so now you're going to obstruct justice on me. You're obstructing. I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. [screaming] >> I didn't do anything. >> I didn't do it. I'm pissing myself. Can I please change her pants? >> Oh my god. >> I want to make sure and videotape it all. Yes, sir. Please. >> I'm going to jail because of you. Can I PLEASE CHANGE MY PANTS? >> THIS IS, by the way, this is a false arrest. >> Uh, what's your number, sir? >> Ma'am, can I have my purse? Can I have that? >> I stole my >> Officer Branch. >> Yes, sir. >> Jonathan Elmore now. >> Okay. >> Why didn't you take me in? Why? It is the battery. >> I didn't do anything. >> Would you like to see his >> m Where's your purse? >> It's in the house. Would you like to see his battery so you can cuff his too? >> Okay. >> Would you like to? >> Please. Please. >> It's in the house. >> Okay. And the son of a just had me locked up. This is now the second time. >> Where Where's your purse? >> I have urine down half of my pants >> because of the stress. Where is your purse and some of your a pair of shoes? >> I don't I don't know. >> But you're obviously not going to let me back in the house if my hands are >> Okay, we'll we'll find >> We'll get you a pair of shoes and your purse. Okay. >> We'll get your shoes. We'll get your purse. We'll get all that. >> You have nothing else to do but put me in a goddamn car. >> You have nothing else to do. Really? >> In the vehicle, please. >> No. I want to stay outside at the very least. I'm I'm full of ass. I don't want to sit down. >> Please. I'm not even trying to be disrespectful. I just don't want to sit. >> Sitting you are okay. [panting] >> The other officer get your shoes. >> Why don't you want to see his evidence? >> What's >> Why don't you want to see my phone? >> What do you have on your phone? >> Him doing screaming at me, arguing at me, the text from last night of him threatening me. It's on and on and on and on. He has plenty of places to go. I have no one. I'm just trying to move back to New York after we're divorced, but I don't have any family here and I don't have anywhere else to go. And I'm But he's got plenty of options and he's doing it he's again he's doing it to just be to antagonize me. And I don't understand why. I don't understand why I'm in cuffs and he's not. I've called at least three times. It means you need either put on the shoes or you need to get in the car. There's only two options. >> Am I get I'm not getting asked. You're going to take me You're going to take me down. You're going to take me downtown to You're going to book me, aren't you? No matter what I do, >> no matter what he says, no matter what I say, you're going to book me. Under arrest. I'm not I can't be any clearer than that. >> I would appreciate it if I could at least change my pants. >> Kelly was taken into custody, visibly stunned that the situation had turned against her. But before the officers could conclude the investigation, her husband made an attempt to stall the officers one last time. >> We can hold the phone. >> Do not talk to her. >> Do not talk to her. >> Dad, I'm not going to I'm not going to I'm not doing anything. >> I know you're coming inside. Come on. I'm your legal guardian. Come on. >> Okay. We can hold the phone to get a search for it. >> Uh if you take that phone, >> the phone is seized. We're going to get a search for it. >> If that's the way you want to do it. >> He's going to turn it off. >> Uh no. No, sir. You cannot do that. >> No, it has evidence on there. You can do that if you want. >> Evidence on the phone. We can seize the phone. >> No, you can't. All right. Tell you what, I'll stand here with her and give me the phone back. Drop it right there, please. But >> no, no. What? >> Are your buddies with Neil? Is that what it is? >> Is that your friend? >> Is your ex-husband your buddy? >> I know. I know. I know the truth of this. >> I know the truth of this. So, that's fine cuz he actually told me. But, nonetheless, let's just go ahead and you can talk to her with me. >> Trying to do this the easy way. You can talk to me with me present. You don't need the phone, >> sir. The phone has evidence on it related to a crime. >> You are not. No, >> it it doesn't matter what you say. Okay. >> I'm trying to do this the easier way without taking >> her. I'm going to listen to them. I'm not trying to do anything. >> That's fine. >> I'm going to do what they ask. >> That's fine. And I'll stand. >> I've already heard what you said. >> Do not unlock your phone, Ellis. >> Okay. >> They asked me to. >> Do not unlock your phone. >> It doesn't have to. I don't need it for that. There's other ways to get it. Okay. That's why we're asking you to do it the easy way. By >> have to do it the easy way. I don't want to have to take your daughter's phone. Okay. She's already been through enough. >> You put her. >> No, you put her through that. Don't even >> There's usually a TPO issued with the with the >> Why do y'all And then I'm being serious here. Do y'all like doing this to people? And I'm just being honest. I'm I'm not I'm asking because I don't understand it. I would understand it if I was in a situation where I felt like I wanted to do it or if I called the police or something, but I don't understand this. So, I just I'm just curious, especially because it seems like, if I'm honest, y'all have a particular thing for her and I don't I don't understand. >> No, we we don't. >> Well, I don't know. I don't understand. Look, I'm divorcing the woman. >> We wouldn't be here if y'all don't call us. That >> I didn't call you. >> I'm not saying you did. >> I understand. But again, you're you're the problem is is you're ruining her life. And in the process, whether you know it or not, sir, you're also ruining mine. >> Okay. >> And that's and I don't I I get it that you don't >> The first step to us showing up is calling us. >> I I get it that you don't care. I get it that you don't care. >> Okay. We've done everything we need to do. >> Do you feel safe? >> Yeah. >> She feels safe with me. >> Okay. >> Kelly was charged with battery and cruelty in the third degree. Up next is a heated breakup where a woman's 911 call presented one version of events. But what started as a claim of being cornered ultimately ended with charges against her. >> Followed me from room to room, tried to corner me in the room. I turn around and spit at him. >> And she comes running up here, slings the window open, dives in the window, shoves me, spits in my face. >> Defending myself. On May the 8th, 2024, officers responded after a woman reported being cornered and assaulted during an argument with her boyfriend. As they reached the location, they met a very agitated individual. >> What happened? >> Um, aggressive breakup argument. Grab your grab my 4 months, our lease is over. Let's separate and go live somewhere. Let's pay our bills. We need to end. This has happened multiple times. Um, cornered. As soon as I told him that when the lease is up, my mom, the co-signer, he's off. He's over and I'm going to stay here. Lost it. Lost it. Followed me from room to room. Tried to corner me in the room. I turned around and spit at him. Absolutely spit at him cuz he hadn't cornered against the back of the door and the room is dark. >> Yeah. Where right where the uh closet is and where the door opens. >> And then turned around, spit at him, got out, tried to lock myself in the bathroom. Didn't happen. And then we separate. I come out in the car. Then he starts getting all of our stuff. And now I'm worried about my stuff. So, I'm following him around the house and then he pinned me up again two or three times >> and in response I attacked him with from this direction. >> What about all this blood and stuff over there? >> Him scratching me. He had me up against the washing machine and where our washer and dryer is. It's a very very tiny unit. There's bleach all over. >> You can see inside. >> Nobody else is inside. But you there's you can see in everywhere you walk. >> I can explain exactly what happened. Officers noticed injuries on both parties, and details of the encounter suggested the conflict had escalated repeatedly rather than remaining a one-sided assault, contrary to what the woman was trying to sell them. >> So, I I He locked me out of the back door. Locked me out of the front door. That's why this is out there cuz I came through the front. He had me pinned up against right in here. Right up against this this way right here. >> What do you mean? Like which way? Oh, >> he was standing right here and I was trying to get out. He would not let me. So I turned around and I spit at him and I got out and went to try to lock myself in the bathroom. I had that window open. I tried to scream for neighbors. You can knock on the neighbors across the street. I've been screaming. >> So you ran in there? >> Yes. And tried to lock the door. He would not let me. >> And then and then he comes outside. He's packing his belongings. He stops. [music] >> So then you couldn't you couldn't stay in there. So you get out and try to >> No. Cuz the second I opened the window and started screaming, then he would stop. And I just want to find a cell phone at this point. I just want to find a phone cuz if I do have to hit him, he will hit me back >> and he is going to win. >> You have uh Is that a scratch on your neck? >> Yes. >> And I had he had me like this and I I >> How do you like what? >> He had me He had me. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Right here on the back porch. >> What was he trying to prevent you from going outside or >> correct? He was trying to prevent me from going outside. No, I was walking inside and he was preventing me from walking inside, getting away from him. And >> why did you run outside? Just >> because he I thought he was going to ruin my plants. >> I thought he was going to cuz that's I love my plants and I thought he was going to start destroying my plants. And then so he starts ripping down the lights. That's fine. Whatever. And >> and then I he tried to he had me this and I came at him with this this and missed. And then he grabbed it out of my hand and threw me back in a chokeold and said, "When are you gonna stop and try to just wrestle me to >> like when are you gonna stop what? >> When am I gonna stop I doing what I'm doing, telling him that we're whatever the argument base is." >> Okay. >> And in the midst of that, I scratched the living out of him. >> Okay. >> And every mark on him is because I was being >> backwards. What did uh He wasn't defending himself from you? >> No, he was coming after me. I tried to take videos on my phone. >> Um you can put volume on if you need to >> but and also the laundry room. He'd shove me up against the back of it and the lamp's broken because my face was down on the washer and dryer. >> I've called I tried to tell his sister to come here 2 hours ago. >> Do you have a license? >> Yes. Meanwhile, the boyfriend described a very different sequence of events. >> What's the deal, boss? >> I know you just went over. >> No, I know. I know. >> It's the role we play. Sorry. >> Yeah. No, I get it. Um, >> so I guess to start things, she um was just like in my face like get the out. And >> she was in your face then? >> Yeah. And we have a history of her making my belongings disappear when we're fighting. So, my first instinct was to get my important and get that away from her and get myself out of here. >> Okay. >> And so, I'm just trying to pack my up. And in the course of that, she's walking in and out every 30 seconds. Goes gets in her car. So, I thought she was leaving. I shut the doors and lock them cuz I don't want any surprises after that. And she comes running up here, slings the window open, dives in the window, shoves me, spits in my face, and then is just right back to like following me around. You know, I grabbed something. She's trying to snatch it. And I was trying to take some from the pergola back there and she came out with a broom and was just whailing me with it. And I mean, there was like me just trying to hold her and not >> hold her. Hold her to do what? to prevent her from swinging on me. >> All right, hang right here for a second with him. All right, >> we have Do the other officer get your information, sir? >> Uh, no. >> Okay, go ahead and get that from him off. What is it? Okay, so the this sounds terrible. The whole argument started because we were coming back from the Publix on the island. She pointed out this car and she's like, "I want this to be my mom car." And she is using her mom's car. She wrecked her car. She's got an insurance check somewhere at her parents. I was like, "Well, you need to figure your >> situation out before we, you know, >> and that just she snapped and she just >> Okay. And then you guys got in here. here. Then what first point did it get physical [sighs] >> when she jumped through the window? >> So nothing was physical before then. She just jumped through the window and then what happened? >> She snatched the window open, jumped through there, shoved me, and spit in my face. >> Where was that? Where did that happen at? >> The living room. >> Okay. She spit in your face. And then what did you do? >> I took my hat off, wiped the spit off, and went back to packing my she wasn't like still in my face trying to >> What? What instant happened in the bedroom? in the bedroom with the corner of the door. >> Did you pin her in to the corner of the door behind the door over there? No. >> Well, yeah. Okay. Yeah. So, no. I was uh just grabbing some clothes so I can have a couple changes of clothes and she starts snatching out of my hand and then um she shoved me again. >> Where did all the scratch marks and other stuff come from? >> What's that? >> The scratch marks. Those all come from >> where? Me where the scratch marks are all over you. >> From her like [clears throat] but I understand. But I'm asking I know they came from her, but how in what sense? How did it all How did you get yourself scratched up? Did you holding on to her or what? >> Well, like from her like snatching me trying to take it back and then she's like clawing at me. And when I'm >> I'm just asking, but No, you were here, not me. >> I know. It's just a blur. I'm trying to collect things. But no, just wrapping her up and and clawing at me or the broom. I don't know. >> Okay. >> With injuries on both sides, the focus shifted from accusation to legal determination. And thankfully officers did not take long to come to a conclusion. >> Defending myself. >> So listen, in the state of Florida, >> laws are very specific when it comes to people living together and putting hands on each other. >> But he followed me everywhere. >> Would you listen to me for a second? Okay, I'm going to explain this to you. Okay, >> we have to find a primary aggressor or somebody that furthers the fight or the the incident. Okay. >> But if nobody was here, then who can dictate that? >> Yeah. >> Just the like the fact that Okay. So, the part that your your argument was separated until the point where you took the screen off the door and came back in. >> I'm not I'm getting I'm getting I'm getting there. Okay. >> Okay. You have the right. This is your house. You can go in and out of the window all you want. Okay. >> But you coming back in. Okay. The argument getting flared back up. >> Did Did you look at the videos on my phone? >> I did. It's They're just No, you showed me one video. You said he had one video and I I watched the whole thing. I understand. Okay. Are there any >> But the videos don't are going to show what the whole the whole thing. >> But it's him chasing me to the backyard to the laundry room into the other room. >> We knew about chasing. >> He was he was following me around the house and putting his and putting me into a chill cold over and over. >> The woman felt the decision was unfair as she was taken into custody instead of her boyfriend. >> When you came back in through the window, did you spit Did you spit in his face? >> No. Not directly in the window. When you came in the window, did you push into that? >> Okay. That did not happen out here. >> That was the first time around. >> Okay. Where's your phone? >> In my pocket. >> Okay. Can >> Yeah. 88. >> What? 888. >> Yes. >> What? >> Here. >> I thought I was Sorry. 888. [snorts] >> This these videos. >> I tried to and it was in my pocket cuz otherwise Yes. Yes. >> Okay. I watched this one. This is the one you showed me. This is just one long video >> with the sound and you can hear him following me from one room. >> What do you think? >> Why is this? >> Get away from me. >> How is this possible? >> What the do you think this is? >> What do you think this is? >> Hold on a second. >> Or is it just me? >> Stop chasing me around the yard. >> Call them. Dude, what are you doing? Why chasing me? >> Okay, you have audio, but there's no there's no video. There's no nothing to see. >> Cuz it was in my pocket. >> I I I understand where you're coming from. Okay. I'm just simply saying in the state of Florida when when two domestic partners put their hands on each other. Okay. And you guys both have physical injuries, somebody has to go to jail. >> Oh, it's not him. >> Okay. It's So, based on everything we're going with, okay, identified you right now as a primary aggressor. Okay. That's not Just listen to me. But did can you see where his teeth are on him? Where the teeth marks are? >> I see where the marks on both of you are. >> Okay. But can you did you guys even look at me? I haven't even looked at myself yet. I don't know where I have more bruising potentially. >> I just I just told you you guys both have injuries. I see that. Okay. You guys I mean really you guys are both wrong. >> I'm not I'm not saying I'm right or wrong, but I called you guys cuz I was scared >> and I understand that's why we're here and you were no longer in danger anymore. [music] >> Right. So why am I just >> because because you're you're misunderstanding. I don't have the luxury of just leaving. I don't I don't have any discretion here. The law dictates that a primary aggressor be identified during a situation and you be removed from the I understand that. Okay. But that's what's happening right now. You are domestic partners and you guys got into a physical altercation that caused physical injury to both of you. One of you have to go and based on the circumstances right now, you appear to be the primary aggressor. Okay. That doesn't mean you're getting convicted of battery. That doesn't mean you're going to go to jail forever. Okay. That simply means you are being arrested right now for misdeme. >> Okay. So, let's go inside. All right. Come on. >> Can I get my cell phone, please? Or call my mother before we walk out? >> Sure. Absolutely. I like We'll go to the car and then I'll um >> Do you want some shoes? Can we get some shoes? What shoes? >> Got my foot right here. >> Okay. I'll take pictures, >> ma'am. Do you need an ambulance or anything treated before we go? >> Um, I don't think so. No. >> Investigators noted that the dispute had briefly calmed before the woman re-entered through a window. A key detail suggesting the conflict had been restarted rather than avoided. The video she believes would support her claim ultimately did [music] little to change that assessment >> because I feel like you don't understand who this biggest aggressor was. >> I'm still listening. >> I know. I'm getting um this I me being locked out and wanting to be inside my house. I was in the car. >> Okay, which I told you you have the right to be. I'm just simply saying that the progression of events that goes into it cuz it's not it's not just one event, but I'm judging this whole thing on it. Just the overall circumstances and you have to understand that right now that law is in place to forcibly separate two people that are violent, >> right? >> To prevent any further injury to either one of you. Okay? I'm I'm not simp I'm not saying that he is not guilty, but I'm just simply saying now but based on the statue, okay, and the facts that we have, you are the primary aggressor. >> How so? If he's putting his hands around my Can you at least look at my neck? >> I'm looking at >> putting his hands on my neck cuz he's a wrestler and he can choke me out, push me against me, listen. Okay, those can all be explained to have you. You also have the right to defend yourself, >> right? And that's why I told him I scratched him. I didn't think there was anything wrong. >> I did. I didn't. Did I say I didn't say some of the scratchers aren't defensive wounds because he very well could have came back at you or vice versa. Okay. And you guys are both You guys are really both just defending each other. You both are very heated. You got into an argument >> first. But Dutchman first, but he's good at this. He has other he has other battery stuff with his ex in North Carolina and I ignored it and I'm like, "Okay, this is cute." >> I understand. Did Did I Did I say I don't believe anything you said? >> Okay. Do you understand why you were going to jail though? Do do you understand that that why the laws are in place? >> I'm confused as to why I'm the person who's more aggressive, the the aggressor >> because I would say that you going back in and reinitiating contact. >> We didn't get physical then. He just locked me out of the door. We that nothing was physical. >> I understand that. But you should have been separated at that point. That that's what I'm saying. >> Well, then I had no phone or keys or nothing. >> Okay. I I'm not I understand where you're coming from, but you going back in there initiated the situation. Do you understand? >> You know, you weren't going there with the intention. me out at any given point and then I break in the house and then he me around a little bit and then I call the cops and then I still get in trouble for breaking down. >> It does it has no no bearing on who called the cops and who called the cops first or second or third or >> does that kind of matter? >> Why I wanted I needed your guys' help. >> I understand you're you >> sense though like I know there's people who call the cops and they're bad people and just >> bad people. I just you guys are in a bad you guys are in a bad situation. The woman was arrested and charged with battery. That woman got what she deserved. But in the next case, officers rushed to a woman's assistance over disturbing reports of a serious incident only to discover that the claim was bogus all along. >> Something something >> may happen, right? Or no, you just exaggerated. >> I was exaggerating. >> So nothing happened. You got assaulted. >> You hit him a couple of times. Is that true or it's not true? >> No. You cannot be lying to the police stating that somebody somebody can end up in jail because of something like that. You know, right? >> Turn around. >> On May the 11th, Hanover Park officers responded after a woman accused her partner of assault during a domestic dispute as officers worked to clarify the situation. Inconsistencies began surfacing almost instantly. >> Ma'am, did you call police? >> Yeah. >> Do you have a knife on you? >> No, I do not have a knife. >> Cuz the dispatch mentioned that you may have a knife on you. >> I have this on me. >> Just that? No. No sharp objects, anything? I have nothing on me. >> What happened tonight? >> Well, we just got into it and he was acting crazy. He just I don't even want to get into all of it, but it doesn't matter. Um >> Well, obviously you called us for assistance, right? >> Yeah. Well, I mean, like he was. So, I was like, "Well, then I'm going to too." >> So, okay. So, because you saw him on the phone with police, so then you called after him. >> Yeah. Because I'm not going to sit here and act like I did everything wrong when he's the one that was acting. >> Okay. >> Like, >> okay. Obviously, you guys had some situation going. Okay. That's why we are here, right? We just want to make sure that you are guys okay. Obviously, you guys had some argument going, right? >> Yeah. >> So, are you hurt at all? >> No. I mean, I'm fine. >> Not No, not you have no injuries on you or anything like that, though. Nothing physical happened or something happened? What happened? Huh? >> No. >> What was the allegation you made over the phone? >> Uh, for I've known her for 2 years, but we've been off and on for the last couple months. >> Okay. Um, what happened today? >> Uh, we just found an argument >> about >> it was literally over every anything stupid. It was nothing serious. >> The woman's uncertain and inconsistent accounts prompted officers to dig deeper into what really happened. Meanwhile, the evidence indicated the situation went beyond a purely verbal dispute. >> You mentioned that uh something >> happened, right? Or no, you just exaggerated. >> I was exaggerating. >> So nothing happened. You got assaulted? >> No. No. Sorry. >> Okay. Quick question. How his shirt got ripped off >> or ripped? >> I fell. >> I'm sorry. >> I fell. I came out of the apartment and we were arguing and I fell. >> You fell? What do you mean you fell? >> Well, I we I've been drinking. >> Okay. >> Yeah. So, I >> So, how how his shirt got ripped? If you fell, did you like tried to >> I was just babbling to it so I didn't fall? Like I was trying to catch myself. >> Catch. And then you caught his shirt and that's how they got ripped. >> Yeah, it was very >> How you were falling though? >> Yeah, because I tripped. I >> tripped on what? Tripped. How? Like over my foot. >> Over your foot. Inside or outside? >> Outside. >> Like outside on the here. Not Not inside of the >> No, it was outside. There's >> What made you trip though? Like just your over your feet? >> Yeah. So like not these steps, but over there by the front door. There's like a little like a little dip and I just literally tripped. It was kind of stupid. But yeah, >> you don't have any weapons on on you, right? >> I have. I have just one. >> Do you have your ID with you anywhere? >> Not on me. No. You have a picture of it or anything? >> Yeah. >> No weapons. >> Thank you. No. No. I >> have no weapons in like none of you guys have like firearms inside. >> No, I'm not allowed to have firearms. >> Okay. Just came back from work. Maybe >> we just moved in the fifth. >> Yeah. Yeah. But how long um he just >> How long you guys been arguing before we showed up? Or >> like not even an hour. >> Okay. Is he was gone before before uh like an hour he was gone? So you were by yourself in inside? >> Yeah. >> And then he came back and you guys start arguing. >> Yeah. Over what though? Do you remember any specific specific? >> Hanging out with my friend Becky. I'm um been friends with her since 2020 and he said I was outside with some guys and and was talking to us about >> outside like here. >> Yeah. Yeah. Like down there and anyways. But yeah. So that's >> so he got mad over that you were with someone that he didn't know. >> Yeah. He thought talking to some guys and I Yeah. >> Okay. And then All right. And then what happened while you guys were arguing? We just kept arguing and we came outside cuz he was going to leave and I tripped like something like that and I fell and I just >> as you were falling down you said you were trying to like catch yourself and by >> then you grabbed him by by the shirt. >> Yeah. >> And then so when you were falling down you were up like in front of him or you were in behind him? >> I was in front of him. >> In front of him. Okay. >> So how was his shirt first if you don't mind me? Um, it was like a little corner like that. All >> you were in front of him, correct? >> Yeah. >> So, how does you falling? >> I was trying to catch myself. I just I wasn't really >> Well, you were falling forward. >> I was falling backwards. I was in front of him. >> You were falling backwards >> and you were trying to like reach. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Can I see your hands real quick? >> Yeah. >> And then is that was is that was outside or inside when you were falling? >> What happened to your finger? My nose. I have a >> You were outside when you were falling or you were inside when you were falling? >> I was outside right in front of the door. >> Outside. Okay. Did you Did you end up falling or No, >> I mean almost but no. >> You didn't fall down. You were able to like hold to his shirt while you were >> like it wasn't a like a fall. No. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> As questioning continued, the attention shifted away from her initial allegations towards the possibility that she had been the aggressor all along. Then the most serious claim unraveled completely. >> You were not pushing around or you guys were not pushing each other around? >> No. Nothing. >> Like um >> So everything was fine when he showed up and then you guys, you know, end up in a bed and then you guys start arguing >> and yeah. >> So how he found out that you were outside? >> I was I told him. >> Okay. literally just talking to them because they asked me about their dog that had ran away and asked if I had seen the dog and he like I see when he had pulled up he saw me outside with her and some guys and he thought I was like up to no good cuz I've been drinking and >> he saw you outside with some people. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And I was just talking to them because they said that their dog had ran away or whatever and but I was with my female friend Becky >> but he got mad when he saw you. I tripped over literally a curb like that and that's how the shirt got ripped cuz I >> You guys had after you were arguing outside or >> before? >> Before. >> When did he see he saw you outside? >> Just coming from work, right? That's what he told me. >> Like we didn't really We got in an argument over the text like text messages. >> Text me. Okay. >> Cuz then I mean like when he came inside we were fine and then we started to have a little like go too low and then Yeah. Oh, we're giving up. >> Um, then that was the argument and we came outside cuz he was going to leave and that's when Yeah, cuz I accidentally >> Okay. Anything with tonight? >> Yeah. >> Plus, you drink too much or anything? >> No. >> You guys have wood? >> No, I can't help. >> Well, okay. No risk. He's saying that you attacked him with um what is that? Keys in your left hand. You had keys. You hit him a couple of times and then with a knife. with this part of the knife, not with the edge part. You hit him a couple of times. >> Is that true? It's not true. >> No. >> Okay. Can I ask you to just put your hands out of your pocket? I trust you have anything sharp or anything that might hurt me, but still, let's keep it >> Yeah. >> polite and stuff. It's cold. >> I understand I'm cold as well, but >> please keep your hands out of your pockets. There we go. Thank you. >> So, what what do you want done? Are you guys What's going to happen after a while? I can >> you guys keep on living together or Yeah. Yeah. I Yeah. >> Oh, >> so you guys been together for on and off one two years or something? >> Yeah. I mean like Yeah. >> Okay. I have a couple questions before we get you going or whatever is going on. Like you called 911, right? >> Yeah. >> And clearly on the 911 call, I heard the voicemail voice message telling that you just said we had as long as you can go south. >> He didn't he didn't want to like sit there and do that. Yeah, I know. I didn't want to like say that, but I was just upset you or he didn't. >> No. No, >> he didn't. >> No, I >> Why did you say all the >> We were arguing you. I was upset. >> You were upset. That's why you lied. >> Well, we were you were saying some somebody that's a big deal. Now you're saying you cannot be lying to a police stating that somebody somebody can end up in jail because of something like that. You know, right? >> I don't know. No, I don't know. >> Oh, yeah. Um, this one is mine. I got it. that you shouldn't have anything to start. >> I don't know. Tomorrow, watch out, please. Show me a video. He hit him a couple of times. It's got a video you you're holding your uh keys in your left hand with a knife someone like image couple minutes. >> Investigators charged the woman with domestic battery and making a false report to 911. Up next, a domestic dispute call by a woman turned out to be a false alarm as the officers turned the tables on her. >> He didn't hit me like but it was he hit me. >> Go back inside. Do you want to obstruct my investigation? >> I'm going to do this. >> You're under arrest. How? >> No. No. How am I under arrest? How am I under arrest for getting hit? >> Sir, he went in there. Please tell me he did. Thank you. >> On the 4th of May 2024, police responded to a domestic where a woman claimed her partner had hit her during an argument. [music] After gathering statements from the couple and an eyewitness, the situation took an unexpected turn. >> What's going on? >> He just hit me. And he just hit me right here >> and he needs to get out of here. >> Explain to me what's going on prior to this. >> He had woke me up in my kitchen. >> Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on one second. >> I will talk to you in a second. Do you understand? >> I'm talking to her first. Go inside. I'll talk to you in a second. >> Listen to me. >> Listen to me. Go inside. I will talk to you in a second. Do you understand? Do you understand? Go inside. I will talk to you in a second. You're going in handcuffs. All right. go inside. >> Hi. >> Okay. Explain to me what happened. Then I'll talk to him. >> See, and what and me and my kids were asleep and he had woke me up cuz he left and that's my vehicle and and it doesn't even matter. But I came up here. We started arguing. He had hit me. And I told him, I said, "It's the last time you're going to hit me. And I'm just done with it. He needs to get the out of here." >> Where did he hit you at? >> Right here. >> Like closed hand, open hand. >> It He hit me. He just hit me and I fell right there. >> Did you [music] hit him first? >> No, I didn't put my hands on him. >> According to her, it all started when her partner left in a car, but she wasn't sure what caused the argument. Tensions escalated when her partner tried to pick a fight with someone else, but she refused to join in. The situation worsened when her partner handed her his phone. She hesitated and suddenly he struck her in a sudden burst of anger. When officers asked her to make a statement, her silence cast doubt on her claims. >> How'd he hit you? >> Show me with your hand. Like, what did he do? Like I went to grab his phone and he like hit me like he went like this and I fell right here and nobody was out here to see it but he hit me. >> Will you fill a statement out? >> Will you fill a statement out for us? >> Let me see your face again. >> It was right here. He didn't hit me like >> but it was he hit me. >> Yeah. Have you guys been drinking tonight? >> No, I haven't drank anything. He's been drinking. >> Okay. Well, huh. Let me I'll go talk to him. >> I want He can come out here and talk to you. >> Well, let me Well, I want to separate you guys. So, if you go in there, you're just going to call You're just going to stir the situation back up. >> This is my house though with my kids in there. So, I'm going to go inside and he can come out here because he can explain his side of the story and do whatever the [ __ ] has to do. But that's exactly what happened. So, >> well, I mean, I can't just talk to one person, take their side. I want to talk to him, too. >> Can he come out here and talk? >> Sure. He can come out here and we'll split you guys up. >> How comfortable is it with my kids? No, I'm not. >> You want to come out and talk to me now? >> My son's right here. >> Come out and talk to me now. >> No, my son. >> Come out and talk to me. >> Listen, you got to calm down. >> I'm I'm Go back inside because I told Listen, I said I'll talk to him separate. You said you want to go inside. So, go inside. >> Go inside. >> Go inside. >> This is my home, sir. I am so sorry for >> Come down here so I can talk to you, >> Dad. Dude, this is crazy. >> So, tell me your half of the story. >> My half of the story, the true [ __ ] story is I've been trying to get that out of my house for months. She will not leave. This is my dad that that tries to, you know, mediate things. And this I pay all the bills. She's not on the lease. I've been begging her to leave. My son right there was watching out the window while I was trying to get in my home. Okay. After talking to my neighbor, she came out here and [ __ ] attacked me. Dude, I don't hit females. I'm sorry how angry I am. >> Where did she attack you? Where' she hit you at or anything? >> In the back of my head. >> Right here. >> Oh god. Wait. Thanks. >> Huh? >> No. >> Right here. >> Like this isn't the first time either. >> So you're saying you were out here? Why were you out here? >> No, I was out here. Look, my truck's on. >> Yeah, with the car. Yeah, my truck was on >> and then what happened after she >> as soon as I got out, she kept rushing up at me >> because she she we you know we have two girls together. This ain't the first time cops has been here for me and her. I mean, not like just arguing and like she fighting his neighbor, his old lady, and then she comes at me and hits me. My son's sitting in that. That's why I'm mad because the man and I'm trying to get her out of my house and Overlook ain't wanting to do nothing. >> It was absurd that the woman insisted on kicking him out of the house and banning him despite him being the one who pays for it. He also revealed that she locked him inside his own home, which was even more disturbing. >> Well, you have to properly evict her. >> I I understand that, but like when she's like telling me like locking me out of my own home when this is my home. overlook. You can only have one person on a lease unless you're married. >> Correct. Correct. My uncle is right there, Mikey Stout. My other uncle Teddy and my dad Joey that's on the phone right now. That heard it all too while my son was sitting there watching it. >> She got in there charging on the drive. >> So, so did your neighbor see anything? Let me see. Let me see your head. >> He did. >> Let me see her head. >> Like like she I mean she done pulled it. Let me see it. >> Hang on, dude. >> Where'd she hit you at? >> She hit me right here in my head. >> Back of my head. I never touched her. >> So, how how did her chin get all red right here? >> Her chin got red. >> Yeah, like her jaw right here. >> She slipped right here. I do. Ask them. Ask my son. I don't did her. Did not. I would never >> want to talk to him on his own. >> Yeah, that's fine. The officers then called the child and asked him what really happened to confirm who was telling the truth. >> Yeah, go over there. >> Can you tell us what happened, buddy? >> Um, so I was so I heard >> Stop. >> So I was um sitting on my phone and uh on the couch and then I heard Bernie on the phone um yelling at my dad to get home and then >> No, go back inside real quick. We're talking to everybody separately. >> You're talking to a child? >> Yeah, I am. >> Go back inside. >> Do you want to obstruct my investigation? >> Please go back inside. >> What the [ __ ] >> And then >> that's the child. >> Exactly. That's why I'm talking to him. Please go back inside. And then um I heard uh like Britney uh yelling and then she came out of the door and then I heard them screaming and I looked out the window and then I heard and then I seen Britney hit a punch and my dad like blocked it like that and she kind my dad kind of like kind of pushed her off a little bit and then that was it. And then my dad came in yelling and saying uh he he was going to call the police and Bernie kept going saying she was going to call the police. >> Does that make sense for what she told you? >> Oh, what she's saying is complete opposite. She says she went out here because he was in the truck or whatever and then that they got into an argument. He hit her and she fell on the ground. >> Did she fall on the ground at all? >> Yeah. >> But his and his story is the same. >> Yeah. >> It was an immediate red flag when she became angry at the cops for talking to the kid. She knew the child had seen everything and didn't want the truth to come out. Even though it seemed the officers were convinced by what the child had said about what really had happened. >> I'm good with that. >> Yeah. >> Yep. >> We're going to step inside here and talk to you real quick. >> Is your dog going to bite? >> No, he's not going to bite. >> Okay. >> I hope not. >> He wants to press charges on me. Listen, officer. Listen. Listen to this. I did not put my hands on him. He hit me. >> You know, you know what? Here's a here's the deal. There's two sides to every story, >> right? >> Okay. >> Is there any way that he can just go? >> Well, there's already been domestic claimed here. Okay. >> So, from what we're being told, >> I have custody of my kids. I was asleep in my room. Of course, >> your kids. >> My kids are asleep. And he had woke me up driving my vehicle. >> It's your guys' kids together, right? >> Yeah, it's our kids together. But he but he was trying to start an argument between me and somebody else and I said so I was trying to deescalate the problem because I'm not bringing no arguments here and then he had hit me. He hit me in my face and it's not just my amount like it's that's how he will try to make it to be like I'm lying but I'm not lying. >> I mean the the the redness that >> right there's a mark on my face. >> Well right here it's it's like I don't know if it's cuz you're rubbing it or what. >> No, he had hit me. I didn't put my hands on him. You didn't hit him in the back of the head? >> No, I did not do any of that. And that I didn't hit him. >> That's your son out there. >> No, that's my stepson. That's his son. >> I didn't put my hands on him. >> I mean, do you think like how old is your stepson? >> He's 11. >> Do you think an 11-year-old would just kind of make up and fabricate a story or >> Honestly, I I really do. >> I really think so. >> Calling an 11year-old a liar and referring to him as her stepson [music] was disgusting and shameful. It was appalling that she suggested the boy would protect his father because she wasn't his real mother. >> Oh, it hurts. >> If he cuz he had came in here and told him that like, "Oh, she hit me. She hit me." Cuz he doesn't want to go to jail. But like the the thing about it is this is the last time he's going to put his hands on me because I've been hit enough. Me and my kids have been through enough here. >> Yeah. >> So, he's he's going to have to just whatever you look whatever you guys He needs to go to jail. He needs to sit in jail and he needs to have some time to think about what the he's doing because he's acting crazy. >> So you're saying that you >> and I have cameras actually like I had charged that camera. >> Do you have camera footage of the incident? >> No, I don't because nobody was out there. The neighbors wasn't out there. He had ran it. >> Huh? >> They said they didn't see it. >> Okay. Well, the neighbors wasn't out there. That's exactly right. The neighbors wasn't out there. Nobody was out there. It was me and him and I had grabbed. He was trying to start an argument here and like I said, I'm not going to have no argument, no fighting here because of my kids and this or like I live here with my kids and I'm trying, you know, like it's not I'm not doing that. So, he had hit me and it's the last time he's going to put his hands on me ever again. >> So, after you went out there to the car and confronted him for whatever reason, you're saying he just hit you? >> Why did you go outside to confront him? >> How did you guys get outside? >> See, it's all it's all confused. It's confusing to me, too. Well, like >> so he showed up at the house. You're inside. Correct. >> He had came back cuz he was he was leaving. >> So he left the house, came back. You're inside. He's outside. >> You went outside to talk to him, >> right? I went outside to talk to him because we were already on the phone and then he have he was trying to create a whole bunch of other problems. >> Were you guys fighting while you were on the phone? >> No. No. >> But how did it escalate so quick? >> Because he had put he had put his hands on it. I don't know. But the thing about it is though, like if nobody if no like if we're not going to separate tonight, like I don't think I don't feel safe here with me and my kids. >> Yeah. >> So that's all I'm >> going to go get my camera. I need to grab a couple pictures of you. That's if that's cool. >> Is that Is that okay? >> Yeah. I'm just very overwhelmed right now as you can imagine. >> You know what I mean? And uh >> I just don't I just don't know what to do >> with the situation. I do want to press charges against him actually. I think that I think that is what >> when it comes to DV. It doesn't even matter if you want to or not want to. >> Really doesn't matter. Once the primary aggressor is determined, that's who goes. Okay. Especially when there's claims of physical injury or physical altercation. After that, it's all it's all court. >> Despite there being enough proof that she was the primary aggressor, she remained convinced and determined to press charges against her partner. She seemed oblivious to what was really happening. >> I have a lot going on right now. I have my kids in there. Like, I mean, he shouldn't have hit me. You know what I mean? And he >> I'm sure his story is the same saying that you shouldn't have hit him, >> right? >> There's two sides, >> right? But I didn't hit >> But well, I mean, and he didn't hit you apparently. It goes both ways. And that's all I'm saying. That's what court's for. We care what you have to say and what he has to say. You guys are the ones here >> and any other witnesses. >> That's what we care about. >> But a child wasn't here. >> Child sitting in the window, apparently. [music] >> No, he's >> Okay. Well, I wasn't here to see it either. He wasn't here to see it. So, we have to go based off the two stories we're told. We determine a primary aggressor. That's who goes to jail. All right. I'm just being blunt with you. We're not going to sit here and waste each other's time anymore. Okay? That's what court's for. When you guys go to court, you guys hash it all out there. >> Right. >> If you guys say, you know what, no, that didn't happen. That's on you guys. >> Okay. >> Right. >> I'm just I'm I'm just trying to the make it as simple as possible explaining it to you. >> Okay. But I just want to make sure that I'm not going to jail tonight. >> I'll explain that to you once you get done with your statement. >> Um, yes. >> So, I'm sorry. I know that you >> got other stuff. Yeah, you guys do have other you have to do. >> After the officers filed her statement, it was time to tell her the truth. >> You're going to jail. >> So, let's go. >> I'm going to jail. >> You're under arrest. >> How? No. No. How am I under arrest? How am I under arrest for getting hit? >> Cuz you're determined to be the primary aggressor. >> I'm under No. No. No. No. No. No. No. >> Don't. >> Come here. >> Don't make it worse. >> Resisting. We have to. >> HOW AM I UNDER ARREST? NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. How am I UNDER ARREST? HOW AM I UNDER ARREST? WHOA, WHOA, WHOA. LOOK, I have rights. I just got hit. Stop. >> I just Hey. Hey, you guys. Sir, please. >> Sorry. >> You better get my kids in there. >> You're going to make this a lot harder than IT HAS TO BE. OKAY. >> LISTEN. My No. No. No. No. LOOK. LOOK. LISTEN, LISTEN. WHAT I DIDN'T DO? >> That's what cord's for. >> No, no, no, no. >> That's what cord's for. STOP. NO, NO, NO. Help me. Stop it. OH MY GOD. You're getting resistant charge. >> You're under arrest FOR DOMESTIC >> DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT. >> KEEP IT GOING. You're going to BE OBSTRUCTED. >> OH MY GOD. I GOT >> NO. [laughter] NO. SIR. SIR. SIR, I DIDN'T do anything. NOW YOU GOING TO ARREST A FEMALE. >> It seems like she knew exactly what she meant with that. She had the nerve to suggest that females can't be >> No, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO. SIR, PLEASE. I'M NOT TRYING TO WASTE YOU GUYS' TIME. I'm just going to NO, NO, NO. >> NO. I have two kids, okay? >> She was using her kids' names as if they were solely hers, using them as a shield to avoid taking responsibility. >> Did you get my shoe? I don't even care. I don't even care about the shoe. I don't care. All right, we're going inside >> and we're going to finish the statement. Do you need help? >> I've had four triple bypass surgeries. >> Yeah, that's why we're going inside. >> And a pacemaker. You roll my Somebody rolled my windows on my dad. Somebody >> you got keys? >> She might have took them or put them inside. >> I don't know what she's done with them. >> All right, we'll find those keys. I'm just going to get you sat down working on this statement. All right. >> I'm sorry. >> You're fine. >> Your dog didn't bite me? No, >> here they are. She put them in my She had my coat on here. She said >> I don't >> the cameras though. Look, there's the camera, sir. >> Right there. There's one of them. There's one right there, too. >> There's another one right there that's supposed to be on the front on the washer on the front. I believe you. I just need that. >> I'm sorry, dude. I'm just >> This is So, >> I'm scared because I have children. If I have this, this goes with my report, >> right, for the arrest report. >> And then this gets forwarded to the court. So, if you want to apply for TPO for full hearing for a protection order, like I need that to be real good and detailed. >> All right. >> The man's tears of relief at the end showed that he was telling the truth. It was heartbreaking to see a grown man cry out of relief, finally being recognized as a victim rather than a perpetrator. In the end, the suspect was charged with firstdegree misdemeanor domestic and seconddegree misdemeanor resisting arrest.
